Liverpool is reportedly planning a spectacular move for a European superstar who could be the missing puzzle piece.

Liverpool wants to improve their offensive options as manager Jurgen Klopp continues to develop his squad.

It is said that Liverpool is looking to add a top-tier attacker to strengthen their front line.

This season, the Reds have reverted to a level that is nearly identical to their peak, and they are once again contending for the top spot. After drawing with Manchester City the previous Saturday, Jurgen Klopp’s team is now once again a title contender.

Leroy Sane’s contract expires at the end of the 2024–2025 campaign, so if he decides not to prolong his stay at the Allianz Arena, Bayern may attempt to move him the following summer. Christian Falk, a German football analyst, claims that Liverpool has a “concrete” interest in the former Schalke player.

Falk continues, saying Bayern is ‘informed of the desire’ and that they intend to hang onto one of their key players. Sane, a German international with 59 caps, has been mentioned as Mo Salah’s possible successor at Anfield.

But it should go without saying that Sane would not be inexpensive—he is among the world’s top wingers.

In fact, Transfermarkt valued him at €75 million (about £65 million) at this point, three years after Bayern originally paid €49 million (£42.2 million) to acquire his talents. Sane has played for the Bavarian powerhouses for 152 games, scoring 47 goals and taking home the Bundesliga championship in each of his previous four seasons.

He has scored eight goals and provided six assists in his first 12 league games this season, and he is in fantastic form.

Liverpool is eager to keep splurging during the January transfer window, and they are looking to add players at both ends of the pitch.

According to reports, Liverpool has entered the competition to capture desired defender Valentin Barco. Over the past few months, a number of Premier League teams have expressed interest in the Boca Juniors player. However, the Reds will be hoping that his Argentine link with Alexis Mac Allister would prove convincing in negotiations.

Over the summer, Jurgen Klopp oversaw a significant reorganisation at Anfield that included a reorganisation of his midfield ranks and the departure of several of his older stars. James Milner, Jordan Henderson, and Fabinho were among the departing players, and Liverpool concentrated on bringing in younger, more capable replacements.

Wataru Endo, Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Ryan Gravenberch were all brought in to give the team fresh vitality, and so far, they have succeeded in doing so. The Reds have reestablished themselves as title contenders and are currently ranked second in the Premier League.
