Liverpool shouldn’t discount the unexpected return of a defender who adores Jürgen Klopp.

The Reds should think about getting back together after a former player spoke positively of his time at Liverpool and called Jürgen Klopp one of the “best” in the world.
Should Liverpool still wish to bolster one area, it would likely be Jürgen Klopp’s defensive unit. Although Jarell Quansah’s rise this season has been a breath of fresh air, Klopp will likely want to add at least one more center-back to his team in the future.
Joël Matip’s contract expires in 2024, and Virgil van Dijk and Matip are getting older, so it makes sense to let him leave at the end of the season. Matip’s play did deteriorate towards the conclusion of the previous season, and at 33 years old, it may be premature to expect him to play at the same high level he has established over the years.
Rather, Liverpool will have to consider a more youthful and inexperienced player who can serve as the new face of Klopp’s 2.0 squad. But Liverpool might not have to go very far for a profile like that.
At the time of his 20-year-old arrival to Liverpool, he fulfilled his role, but the Reds ultimately chose not to extend his stay.
Instead, Kabak moved to Norwich City on loan before resurrecting his career at Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga, where he is already beginning to establish himself as one of the greatest young center-backs in the league.
Kabak is among the top five U23 Bundesliga center-backs in terms of defensive duels won (72.5%), according to Wyscout. At 6.73 interceptions every 90 minutes, the Turkish international leads the field in this regard.
Kabak is a player who also feels at ease with the ball, and his recent play could draw Liverpool’s attention once more. Speaking in the November issue of SPIELFELD, the German magazine, Kabak praised both Klopp and his time at Anfield, according to the official website of Hoffenheim.
For me, it was quite the roller coaster experience. However, it also helped me become a more mature person overall and as a player,” he added.
“Klopp is among the world’s greatest coaches,” Jürgen Klopp taught me a lot, and I had an amazing six months at Liverpool overall.
Liverpool would be hard-pressed to find a more economical candidate than Kabak to replace Matip.

Jurgen Klopp suffered double blow on Liverpool’s two transfer targets after the decision was overturned
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has long been interested in Nice midfielders Hefren Thuram and Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams, but those moves could now become complicated.
Liverpool could regret signing Hefren Thuram and Nico Williams, with a move for the in-demand duo set to become more difficult than ever.
Spaniard Williams, 21, is regarded as one of La Liga’s brightest prospects but his club are now demanding a new deal to keep him at the club alongside his older brother Inaki, who is locked out until 2028.
Like Williams, Nisa midfielder Thuram is also attracting attention from Liverpool.
The 22-year-old footballer has entered the international league of France and is attracting the attention of Juventus.
The Italian giants are looking for a replacement for Paul Pogba, who could face an extended retirement from football after testing positive for a banned substance, and believe Thuram could be the perfect replacement.
Thuram is the son of former French footballer Lilian Thuram, a former Juventus defender, and his older brother Marcus plays for domestic rivals Inter.
According to a new report from Calciomercato, Thuram is Juventus’ top transfer target next summer and is Pogba’s de facto replacement at the Bianconeri.
It means Reds boss Jurgen Klopp could regret his decision not to sign the Frenchman this summer.
Turam’s transfer fee could rise due to interest from Juventus and a deal could now become difficult.
Bilbao, meanwhile, have insisted Nico Williams is not going anywhere and is confident of his commitment to the Basque Country’s long-term future.
Club president Jon Uriarte has now spoken about the winger’s future.
“We are calm,” Uriarte told Diario AS about the future of Williams Jr., among other stars.
“We want an attractive project for Nico and other players like Unai Gomes, who extended his contract this week.
We think Nico will find this project attractive and we believe in him.” His family is loyal to athletics, and this is the highlight of his career.
We have nothing to say about any rumours.
Liverpool have missed out on several transfer targets this summer, including Moises Caicedo and Romeo Rabia, who moved to Chelsea, and Sofian Amrabat, who caught Klopp’s eye, at Manchester United.
