Liverpool target 17-year-old wonderkid who has already debuted for the senior national team

Liverpool is reportedly keen on signing 17-year-old talent Andrija Maksimovic from Red Star Belgrade.

Maksimovic made his senior international debut for Serbia earlier this month, coming on as a substitute in their 2-0 Nations League victory over Switzerland. This achievement made him the second-youngest debutant in Serbia’s history, just behind Andrija Zivkovic, who was only a month younger when he debuted against Japan in 2003.

The midfielder has been impressive for Red Star Belgrade, making 11 appearances this season, including a start against Inter Milan in the Champions League. According to Sky Sports Germany, Liverpool is among several clubs interested in the young player.

When I play for Liverpool, I’m almost playing as a right winger sometimes because we usually have most of the possession in games, so I’m quite high up, trying to create chances for the strikers.”
