All the latest Liverpool transfer news and rumours as the summer transfer window approaches officially opening, including updates on Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ederson, Bruno Guimaraes
Arne Slot, the Reds’ new head coach, has been in charge for a few days and will be busy preparing for the job ahead. With pre-season starting next month, Liverpool are already being connected with numerous players who might join the club during the summer transfer window.
Florian Wirtz, a Bayer Leverkusen midfielder, has provided an update on his future, amid interest from Liverpool and other teams. Meanwhile, Juventus is thought to have made a choice on Federico Chiesa and are willing to sell him this summer.
Liverpool is interested in Ederson. Fabrizio Romano has reiterated claims that Liverpool has not made a bid for Ederson.
However, there is interest in the Atalanta midfielder.
“We heard today that Liverpool is making a bid for Ederson. “What I’m hearing is that Atalanta has yet to receive an official bid for Ederson,” he stated on his YouTube page.
“They know there is interest in Ederson but they have not received any official proposal and they want to keep Ederson at the club.”
Ederson to Liverpool Latest
Thank you to Lewis Steele of the Daily Mail for providing more clarity.
He claims that speculations that Liverpool is close to signing Ederson are “wide of the mark.”
Furthermore, no bids have been made, and he is not currently at the top of the shortlist, though this “could change”.
Again, it was enjoyable while it lasted. At least the transfer window opens in a few days, right?
Bruno Guimarães
Bruno Guimarares examines the transfer links. Bruno Guimaraes has been linked with a transfer to Liverpool.
According to reports, Newcastle United may have to sell one or two of their players in order to climb above the Profit and Sustainability danger line.
Despite the fact that the Brazilian feels honoured by the rumour, he is not indulging the reports.
He told TNT Sports, “To be honest, my future is in God’s hands.” I have a contract with Newcastle, and I’m really thrilled. As I previously stated, I know how much they like me and what I’ve done for the club. In summary, I have a contract and am pleased. I’m not sure what will happen; we know all about Financial Fair Play, but I can say that I’m happy.
“Obviously, it’s nice to have your name associated with big clubs; it shows that I’m doing my job well, but I’m not concerned; as I previously stated, I’m happy at the club.” I’m quite pleased, so let’s see what happens. I’m not in a hurry, I’m pleased, and it’s up to God; we’ll see what happens.”
Trent Alexander-Arnold’s odds decline
Trent Alexander-Arnold’s odds of starting England’s opening Euro 2024 game have been reduced to evens following his Man of the Match performance against Bosnia on Monday evening.
Alexander-Arnold scored for Gareth Southgate’s side and completed more passes (90) than any other player.
Alexander-Arnold is currently even money to start against Serbia on June 16, with Joe Gomez at 11/8.
