Liverpool is about to part ways with a defender after a lengthy partnership, while a great player may be the target of a significant Saudi effort.

When the transfer window opens on June 14, Liverpool is probably going to recruit one or two players. A lot of people will be watching it when Arne Slot takes over the club.

Liverpool has a lot of questions to address when it comes to the outgoing side of things, but it’s just as exciting. Most importantly, the Reds will want to quickly decide on the futures of Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

In addition to those three contracts that are about to expire, there are further concerns at hand. Although Saudi Arabia is well known to be interested in Salah, it appears that teams in the area may also be vying for Alisson.

While this is going on, some issues have already been settled, and one player will be released after over 20 years with the team. This is Liverpool.com’s assessment of the transfer rumours that have been circulating about the Reds lately.

Alisson (Saudi club)

“A’monster offer’ is being prepared by sides in Saudi Arabia to present to Alisson,” TeamTalk reports. As the Pro League tries to entice a top-tier goalkeeper, he is ‘the chosen one’.

Alisson, for his part, is rumoured to wish to remain in Europe, where Liverpool is back in the Champions League for the upcoming campaign. Given that Ederson was always close to getting started, he would not want to risk his spot on the Brazil squad.

However, he has reportedly “yet to fully reject” moving to Saudi Arabia despite the prospect of a sizable incoming offer. Although a transfer is anticipated to be “extremely difficult,” it is not unfeasible.

According to Liverpool.com, losing Alisson would be the worst way to begin the Slot era. He is arguably the least disposable of all Liverpool’s “ageing” stars because he is still at the top of his game and will likely stay that way for some time to come.

Although it would also be a blow, a move would undoubtedly benefit Caoimhin Kelleher, who is otherwise anticipated to depart Liverpool. If forced to choose between the two, the Brazilian must stay, and the Reds must make every effort to persuade him to reject any advances from Saudi Arabia.

In that sense, it doesn’t seem like it would have a difficult time as Alisson seems to be leaning towards sticking put. After several players found it difficult to adjust after making the transfer last summer, the Pro League will undoubtedly discover that it has a similar problem with many of the greatest names.

Adam Lewis (Newport County)

Adam Lewis, who joined at the under-6 level, is ultimately scheduled to depart from Liverpool. According to Anfield, the 24-year-old will be freed when his contract expires.

For the previous two years, Lewis has been at Newport County on loan. When he becomes a free agent, the Welsh team hopes to extend that agreement.

“I hope to keep him here,” “I would like to have a meeting with him to discuss his future,” manager Graham Coughlan stated in an interview with the South Wales Argus.

Lewis did play for Liverpool; he appeared in an FA Cup fourth-round replay against Shrewsbury Town in 2020, under manager Jurgen Klopp. After that, he was leased to Livingston, Plymouth Argyle, Amiens, and finally Newport. Lewis’s departure from Liverpool is not surprising

According to Liverpool.com; under Klopp, he would always have that appearance, but at 24, it never seemed plausible that he would make more. Hopefully, he has all he needs to have a successful career at a bit lesser level.
