The Premier League season has finally begun as the Reds enjoyed an average start to the season with a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge. All in all, it’s a positive for Liverpool as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of their first home game against AFC Bournemouth.
Recent transfer speculation meant Chelsea have reportedly finalize a deal with Brighton & Hove Albion to sign Moises Caicedo.
As we know, Liverpool have agreed a transfer fee with the Ecuadorian midfielder but the Londoners have resurfaced in the hunt for his signature and, if reports are to be believed, seem destined to make the move .
Romeo Lavia is a player who also remains closely associated with Liverpool. Reports from Belgium and England have suggested the Reds are looking to undermine Chelsea’s £55million bid for the Southampton man.

Tyler Adams’ release clause has been fulfilled
Bournemouth have fulfilled Tyler Adams’ £20million release clause, according to TalkSport’s Alex Crook. The American was first embroiled in the Liverpool transfer drama when Chelsea appeared ready to sign him late last week, but he was knocked out at the last minute. He is, of course, one of the defensive midfielders known to be on the market as the Reds plot their next target and could now face Jurgen Klopp’s men for the Cherries when they meet on Saturday.
Sources in Yorkshire have told @talkSPORT #AFCB have matched Chelsea by triggering the £20m release clause in Tyler Adams's Leeds contract. Adams was on the brink of joining Chelsea last week before the Blues pulled out at the 11th hour.

Chelsea confirm Moises Caicedo transfer after Liverpool saga
Chelsea have officially announced the signing of Moises Caicedo from Brighton on an eight-year deal, beating Liverpool with the signing of the player after one of the Premier League’s most high-profile transfer deals. The Reds were unexpectedly placed in charge of midfield with an accepted offer of £110million on Friday, but it was quickly realized Chelsea had the preference for the Ecuadorian and the deal fell through
Paul Joyce comments on Romeo Lavia’s decision
The Times’ Paul Joyce says Romeo Lavia’s Liverpool snub leaves club in ‘desperation’
The Belgian is said to have opted for Stamford Bridge over Anfield, the second player to do so in recent days after Moises Caicedo faced the same conundrum.
Romeo Lavia is a hit when the transfer decision was made
Not good news at all for the Reds as Romeo Lavia has opted for Chelsea over Liverpool, according to David Ornstein.
The Londoners followed suit from Liverpool last month when three offers from Anfield were rejected by Southampton and, having won the battle for Moises Caicedo, also look set to secure Lavia.
Carragher explains Liverpool’s transfer blunder
Jamie Carragher has admitted it is “not fair” that Liverpool signed a transfer deal with Brighton & Hove Albion for Moises Caicedo before determining whether the player himself wanted the transfer.
The Reds are in limbo over the Ecuadorian after Chelsea were allowed back in the race for the 21-year-old, despite Jurgen Klopp’s side earning £110m from the Seagulls on Friday. It seemed clear Caicedo would be heading to Anfield at this point, although this saga took a dramatic turn later that afternoon.
Reports began to emerge suggesting that the midfielder was having “second thoughts” about joining Liverpool and would wait for Chelsea to improve their rivals’ offer due to his preference to sign for the Londoners. And our principal LFC writer Ian Doyle reported on Sunday evening that Chelsea have now secured a £115m deal with Brighton. The public nature of this transfer battle certainly doesn’t suit the Reds, who so often go under the radar with their affairs, a notable change that has Carragher worried.
Tchouameni ‘admiration’
Liverpool are said to be among several leading clubs who maintain a long-standing admiration for Aurelien Tchouameni.
This was reported by The Athletic, which also reports that Real Madrid see the midfielder as an important player and would not consider his departure, while the player has no interest in leaving.
Tchouameni only joined Madrid last summer and has been closely linked with a move to Anfield, with Liverpool maintaining a strong interest in the midfielder.
Caicedo has completed a medical ahead of his £115m ($146m) move to Chelsea. ECHO reported on Sunday evening that Chelsea and Brighton & Hove Albion have finally reached an agreement for the 21-year-old and the Stamford Bridge-based club look set to beat Liverpool to signing the midfielder.
The report also said the Ecuadorian international is set to sign an eight-year contract with an option for another year.
How Chelsea exploited the loophole
After one of the most intriguing transfer market sagas in Premier League history, Liverpool are on the verge of losing to Chelsea for midfielder Moises Caicedo.
After Liverpool signed a sensational £111million deal with Brighton & Hove Albion on Friday, Chelsea continued to push to find a way to make the deal work with the club’s profitability and sustainability rules in mind. more than £750m since the arrival of Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital as owners in May 2022.
According to multiple reports, Chelsea have now agreed a £115million deal for Caicedo with Brighton after rejecting four previous offers, with the Reds now forced to look to other options to fix their defensive midfield problem. Under Boehly and Clearlake, the Stamford Bridge side dramatically changed the transfer landscape. After signing Enzo Fernandez in January for a record UK transfer fee of £105m, they are now set to break that record again with the signing of Caicedo.
Veiga ‘heading to Napoli’
Napoli have reportedly signed a deal with Celta Vigo for Gabri Veiga and are now working to finalize the transfer.
ECHO previously reported that Liverpool have been keeping an eye on Veiga this summer as he continues to rebuild their midfield.
However, according to Spanish media Relevo, Napoli have accepted a payment from Celta Vigo of between €36m and €37m plus a €5m surcharge for Veiga. A 10% forward resale clause will also be included.
Jurgen Klopp smells like Anthony Taylor
Liverpool kicked off the new Premier League season on Sunday with a deserved draw against Chelsea.
An early goal from Luis Díaz was canceled out before half-time by Axel Disasi as the Reds drew to a 1–1 deadlock against Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
The result means Jurgen Klopp’s men have extended their unbeaten run in the league to 12 games after a strong finish last season.
But there were plenty that went unnoticed or under the radar during the 90 minutes at Stamford Bridge. Pavard ‘transfer duel’
Bayern Munich reportedly rejected Manchester United’s first offer for Benjamin Pavard.
The German newspaper Sport Bild reports it, which also reports that Liverpool are interested in signing the Frenchman.
The report, picked up by Sport Witness, said there was a “transfer duel” between the two clubs to sign Pavard and that United could be an “interesting option” for him.
Oxlade-Chamberlain joins Besiktas
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain signs for three years with Besiktas.
The 29-year-old was without a club having left Liverpool after his contract expired this summer. Besiktas are currently in the qualifying rounds for the Europa Conference League as they start their league season against Fatih Karagumruk tonight.

Liverpool agree to ‘£60m Lavia deal’
Liverpool have reportedly agreed a £60m deal to sign Romeo Lavia from Southampton.
That’s according to the Guardian, who report that Liverpool are yet to convince the midfielder to opt them for Chelsea.
The report also claims that Liverpool are the only club to have reached an agreement with Southampton to sign Lavia and that Chelsea need to increase their offer.
ECHO reported on Sunday night that the Reds are likely to return for the 19-year-old after three offers have already been rejected. Last transfer Lavia
Liverpool are likely to return for 19-year-old Southampton’s Romeo Lavia, after three offers have already been rejected.
But that situation was complicated by the fact that Chelsea also took part in the contest. The Londoners had rejected a £48m offer last week, with a report on Sunday evening saying Chelsea were close to signing the Belgium international.
Liverpool are not considering the player for Southampton’s asking price, which is said to be in excess of £50m, but may now have no choice but to offer at least that amount if they are to snag the deal.
Sangare linked
Liverpool are interested in PSV Eindhoven midfielder Ibrahim Sangare, according to Kiki Musampa. The 46-year-old, brother of Sangare’s agent, has claimed the Reds are among three elite European clubs pursuing the Franco-Ivorian outfit. Nottingham Forest were previously interested in the 25-year-old but were unable to meet the Eredivisie side’s financial demands.
Musampa has included Liverpool among European leaders Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain in the race to sign Sangare. The former footballer is the brother of Sangare’s agent and was seen on ESPN when he made his confession.
He said: “There are big clubs that are interested, like Bayern Munich.” Ibrahim is also on the list for Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool, although he is not yet a priority there. Nottingham Forest had already made an offer but it was not enough.”
