Samuele Ricci Signs Contract

Another name on Liverpool’s radar is Samuele Ricci, a 23-year-old Italy international from Torino. Ricci had a standout 2024, catching the attention of AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Manchester City, among others. According to Anfield Watch, Ricci has impressed Liverpool’s staff, and the club is reportedly encouraged by the fact that his contract with Torino runs only until 2026.

Despite having just about two years left on his contract, Torino valued Ricci at around €60 million last summer, though the price tag could decrease over time.

Morgan Gibbs-White’s Rising Star

Morgan Gibbs-White has been one of the standout players in the Premier League this season. The 24-year-old has been instrumental in Nottingham Forest’s strong position in second place, helping lead Nuno Espirito Santo’s side. Gibbs-White delivered an exceptional performance at Anfield earlier this season, when Forest handed Jürgen Klopp his only defeat as Liverpool manager. He has been described as “brilliant” and “creative” by former England interim head coach Lee Carsley.

According to Football Insider, Liverpool has shown “concrete interest” in Gibbs-White for the January transfer window and beyond. After joining Forest in 2022 for an initial £25 million, plus another £17 million in add-ons, Gibbs-White’s contract runs until 2027.

Real Madrid’s Insulting Offer for Alexander-Arnold

Though Liverpool has refused to discuss a potential transfer, Diario AS reports that Real Madrid made a “very modest” offer for Trent Alexander-Arnold this month. The first informal proposal involved a fee of just €10 million—less than what Red Bull Salzburg paid for Bobby Clark last summer.

This proposal was widely considered an insult, with AS noting that it “did not generate the slightest enthusiasm” at Anfield. Nevertheless, Madrid is reportedly preparing a second bid for Trent this winter.

Darwin Nunez Interest from AC Milan

Anfield Watch has learned that AC Milan’s recruitment team is interested in Darwin Nunez. However, a transfer appears unlikely. One of the main reasons is that Milan cannot afford Nunez’s salary, estimated at £140,000 per week at Liverpool, which would make him the club’s highest earner.

Additionally, there is no room for him in Milan’s squad, as Serie A clubs are allowed to register only two non-EU players per season. After their summer signings of Serbian Strahinja Pavlovic and Brazilian Emerson Royal, Milan cannot register another non-EU player this season.
