Liverpool’s advantage as Andre Trindade is linked to Arsenal

The most recent team to be linked to Andre Trindade, a transfer target for Liverpool, is Arsenal.

The Reds showed interest in the 22-year-old midfield player this summer.
Though they still had a chance to win a Copa Libertadores in 2023, Fluminense declined to consider offers for their number seven.

Nonetheless, the Rio-based team has consistently insisted that Andre can be sold during the winter transfer window.
The team will compete in the South American Champions League final next month.

But Liverpool still has a significant advantage over Arsenal in the race to sign Andre.

They even discussed using Andre’s release clause to force a deal through, but they refrained out of respect for Fluminense’s determination to hold onto their star player so they could have the best chance in club history of winning the Copa Libertadores.

Since the Brazilian team is willing to offer Liverpool favorable terms in January and priority over other suitors, they are able to maintain a positive relationship with the Reds’ management.

Despite Anfield having added four midfielders in the summer transfer window, Liverpool scouts watched Fluminense defeat Internacional in the semifinals.

As the transfer window reopens in January, Andre is still optimistic about moving to Liverpool.
