Liverpool’s title worries are one of two issues mentioned by Jamie Carragher

Liverpool’s unbeaten start to the 2023–24 Premier League season came to an unceremonious end last Saturday when they were defeated 2-1 away at Tottenham Hotspur.
In order for Liverpool to contend for the Premier League championship, according to Jamie Carragher, they must address two critical areas. He thinks that next season may be their best opportunity to win the top prize.
The Reds began their match against Brighton on Sunday, despite their contentious loss at Tottenham the previous weekend.
They were only four points behind Ange Postecoglou’s team in first place.
Additionally, Dominik Szoboszlai, one of Jurgen Klopp’s summer signings, appears to have strengthened the team despite a number of summer departures.
Manchester City has won the league’s top spot for three consecutive seasons, snapping Liverpool’s 30-year reign as champions in the 2019–10 season.
When asked on Sky Sports if his former club can buck the trend, Carragher expressed doubt.
It will be difficult, he said, for them to win the Premier League, which is the biggest trophy.
“I believe Liverpool could pursue that strategy with a few more additions for the upcoming season.
“I believe that Liverpool could use another defender and a top central midfielder.
Whether it happens in January or the summer, those holes will be filled, and I believe they will be better prepared the following year to contend for the Premier League.
Manchester City has won the championship for three straight seasons, snapping a 30-year title drought that began with Liverpool’s 2019–10 campaign. Carragher expressed doubt when asked on Sky Sports if his former club can reverse that trend.
It will be difficult, he said, for them to win the Premier League, which is the biggest trophy.
“I believe Liverpool could attempt that next season with a few more additions.”
Liverpool, in my opinion, could use another defender and a top central midfielder.
Whether it happens in January or the summer, those holes will be filled, and I believe they will be better prepared the following year to contend for the Premier League.
Along with Szoboszlai, a former member of RB Leipzig, Alexis Mac Allister and Wataru Endo, respectively, as well as Ryan Gravenberch, a new addition from Bayern Munich, have also joined the team.
Jude Bellingham was a top target for Klopp, but he was unable to sign him, despite Real Madrid midfielder Bellingham’s brilliant start to the season.
Despite early results refuting claims that his team lacks the depth to compete at the top, he also chose not to add any defensive reinforcements. Carragher does think that the team is moving in the right direction.
This season has off to a promising start, he continued. “And it appears that this team he is putting together can at least accomplish what his previous teams have done in the first few weeks.
A large number of Liverpool players will leave for international duty after the match against Brighton.
On October 21, they will play in their first Premier League match against Everton in a Merseyside derby.

The 26-year-old has reportedly given Liverpool new life this season, “Like a new signing,” according to pundits.
This season, Liverpool is off to a fantastic start in the Premier League.
The Reds haven’t lost in their first five games of the season, and while their performances haven’t always been spectacular, they have displayed a real cutting edge in attack.
In fact, the Merseyside club has been scoring goals like crazy lately, and Luis Diaz has made a significant contribution to the Liverpool attack.
Clinton Morrison, speaking on Premier League Productions, claimed that after missing significant amounts of last season due to injury, Diaz has returned with a mission to prove.
The winger, according to Morrison, appears to be a new addition at Anfield this season.
Like a fresh signing
Morrison had nothing but positive things to say about Diaz.
“Diaz came off the bench and changed the game, that much I am certain of in that contest.
He, Nunez, and Diaz in particular.
With the injury he suffered last season, Diaz has been like a new signing for Liverpool.
He is an outstanding player and a top-tier player, according to Morrison.
Been outstanding.
Morrison is absolutely correct; this season, Diaz has been like a new signing for Liverpool, and his rise to prominence has undoubtedly given this team new life.
Simply put, the winger is a fantastic player.
On that left wing, he can conjure something from nothing, and when he’s in top form, he’s impossible to contain.
The Colombian’s main goal this term is to stay healthy, but if he succeeds, he may end up as one of the Premier League’s players of the season.
This Liverpool team has undoubtedly received a new lease on life thanks to Diaz
