Liverpool have been linked with a number of midfielders heading in to the summer transfer window.

The Reds have signed Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch, Wataru Endo and Dominik Szoboszlai to improve their midfield opportunities.

However, they failed in the pursuit of Brighton and Hove Albion’s Moises Caicedo. The Ecuador international has instead opted for a move to Premier League rivals Chelsea.

According to a report from AS, Liverpool attempted to sign Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes after being turned down by Caicedo.
The report adds that the Magpies immediately rejected the offer and were reluctant to approve his departure.

Liverpool have reportedly made a club record offer of around £100m for the 25-year-old Premier League midfielder.

However, Newcastle are one of the richest clubs in the world and they don’t need to sell their best players. Unsurprisingly, they decided to turn down Liverpool’s offer.

Guimaraes has been a key player for Newcastle since he arrived and is one of the best midfielders in the league. Losing him would have been a huge blow for Newcastle.

Liverpool would certainly need a quality player like him and Guimaraes would have improved him in the middle of the park.

Although Liverpool have significantly improved their midfield, they could still use a good quality defensive midfielder in the near future.
It remains to be seen if they will decide to enter the January transfer market for more additions.

Despite Manchester United’s interest, the “exceptional” player had his heart set on moving to Liverpool this summer.

Liverpool were 'ready to trade Darwin Nunez for Chelsea flop' - but player said no

Ryan Gravenberch was interested in playing for Manchester United during the transfer window, but he has always had his heart set on joining Liverpool this summer.

According to a story from The Athletic, Bayern Munich only modified its position on selling the Dutchman 72 hours prior to the deadline.

The last acquisition for Liverpool during the window was Ryan Gravenberch.
After struggling at Bayern, the 21-year-old transferred in a £34 million deal.

He was having a lot of success in spite of his difficulties.
Gravenberch was obviously a target for Liverpool. But in their own search for a central midfielder, Manchester United also had their eyes on him.

Despite Manchester United’s interest, Gravenberch only had eyes for Liverpool.

Gravenberch reportedly only had eyes for Liverpool, according to The Athletic.

Before the deadline, Sofyan Amrabat would eventually be with Erik ten Hag.

According to The Athletic, some Liverpool employees have compared Gravenberch and Gini Wijnaldum.

Prior to the switch, he had lengthy conversations with Cody Gakpo and Virgil van Dijk.

And it appears that the youngster was very interested in the opportunity to work with Jurgen Klopp. Gravenberch is a player with “exceptional talent,” according to Klopp.

Liverpool should be commended greatly for how they entered the window. They lost so many midfielders, who were crucial to the team before.

And the new players appear to have a lot of potential. Dominik Szoboszlai is off to an excellent start in Merseyside.

In the Premier League, Alexis Mac Allister has already demonstrated his abilities.

Wataru Endo could end up being an undervalued acquisition. Gravenberch is incredibly talented, too.
Therefore, there is already a fascinating group in the middle of the park for Liverpool.

Given how little Gravenberch did play for Bayern, it might take some time.

However, it seems that both Liverpool and the player honestly believe that the transfer is the best possible outcome for everyone involved.

Liverpool have already agreed a deal to sign Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich and are said to be considering poaching Leroy Sane
Liverpool have already agreed a deal to sign Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich and are said to be considering poaching Leroy Sane from Bayern first.

The Reds have rejected a mammoth offer worth £150m to sell Mohamed Salah.

However, Sky’s Paul Merson believes the Al-Ittihad threat is not over and a £200million offer would be too big to turn down.

There would be no point in selling arguably the best player when there are only a few hours left in the summer transfer window because it will be difficult to replace him.

However, the Reds are said to be looking for ways to replace the Egyptian and Leroy Sane’s name would be in the spotlight.

According to an exclusive report from Football Insider, Liverpool are considering a late signing of the Germany international who shone for Manchester City in the Premier League.

The news source mentioned that the Anfield club are looking for a replacement for Salah and are keeping a close eye on 27-year-old Kaiser.

Sane won every major domestic league title with Sky Blues, including two Premier League titles, under manager Pep Guardiola.

Moreover, the 53-time national player has already won three Bundesliga titles since joining the Allianz Arena.

The quick and tricky winger contributed 24 goals for Bayern last season and has already netted twice in three appearances this term.

Almost two weeks ago, Football Transfers spoke about Liverpool’s interest in Leroy Sane, saying his expected transfer value was around £42.2m (€49.3m).

Do you think the German is good enough to replace Mohamed Salah at Liverpool?
