Man City is interested in the superstar Chelsea target who has 15 goals and 13 assists.
We are accustomed to seeing this conflict on the field, but now Pep Guardiola and Mauricio Pochettino may be competing for the services of a global superstar.

Whether we like it or not, Man City is now miles ahead of Chelsea in terms of recruiting. From a Chelsea perspective, it is hoped that this will change shortly.

The sooner Todd Boehly realizes that throwing good money after bad and seeing what sticks isn’t a sustainable method of functioning, the better.

The contrast from the previous year should be night and day once the composition of the squad for 2023–2024 has been decided upon, players have come and gone, and Pochettino has gotten to work.

Chelsea will still face competition as they attempt to reclaim their place at the top table, but they must once more be at the head of the line for the biggest players if and when a discussion is to be made.

Neymar, the star forward for Paris Saint-Germain, has been mentioned in connection with the team. Despite injury concerns, Neymar achieved 15 goals and 13 assists in 2022–2023, according to BBC Sport.

At this point, it is immaterial if he is the proper fit for the team, but his availability should at the very least be of interest.

Particularly considering L’Equipe’s allegation that Guardiola personally met with the player to determine whether a transfer to Man City may be an option.

News from Chelsea Several members of the Blues’ extensive roster will join this summer either on pre-contract agreements or upon their return from loan assignments, according to Mauricio Pochettino.

Once his selection as the next manager of Chelsea is official, Mauricio Pochettino will have a number of difficult things to complete. Football.london has believed that there is an agreement between the Blues and Pochettino for him to become the club’s manager before the 2023–24 season since early May.

Another loss on Thursday night doomed Chelsea to a bottom-half finish, with many of its stars’ confidence probably in the gutter. The team’s immediate preseason objective will be to improve its attitude and morale before making decisions on transfers, both incoming and exiting, take center stage.

Pochettino will feel as though he has numerous new signings in the form of pre-contract arrivals and loan returnees even though no purchases have been authorized in the summer window. Just a handful of the players who will return to Stamford Bridge this summer include Cesare Casadei, Malo Gusto, Romelu Lukaku, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Ethan Ampadu, and Andrey Santos, underscoring the necessity for Pochettino to conduct a comprehensive revamp at his new club.

On July 1, Christopher Nkunku will also formally join the team, and another player who could serve as Pochettino’s Dele Alli in the future is expected to sign. Kendry Paez, 16, impressed at Ecuadorian team Independiente del Valle and verbally agreed to sign with Chelsea earlier this year.

The attacking midfielder’s £17.5 million transfer to the Blues has since been finalized, and he will join the team in 2026 when he reaches 18 years old. Given a key position in the team due to his rapid progress, he was selected for Ecuador’s under-20 World Cup roster and scored and assisted in the team’s 9-0 group-stage victory over Fiji.

Paez might be positioned for an initial role in his team at Chelsea if Pochettino is still the manager, just like Alli was at Tottenham. Despite being only 18 years old when the England international joined the north Londoners in 2015, he was thrust right into the first team picture.

Alli excelled in the attacking midfield position very fast, and given that he and Paez have many traits, Pochettino might prioritize Alli’s further growth. Paez frequently scores for both club and country, and several of his goals come as a result of Dele’s signature late dashes into the area.
