Liverpool departs for Singapore for the next leg of their preseason tour after a ten-day stay in Germany that was filled with excitement.
The Reds make a brief pit stop in Merseyside before departing for Asia to play friendlies against Bayern Munich on Wednesday, August 2, and Leicester City on Sunday, July 30.
Jurgen Klopp confirmed that the team he chooses for the upcoming matches will be significantly closer to the one that starts the Premier League opener against Chelsea on August 13. The crowd was treated to a couple of high-scoring matches against Karlsruher SC and Greuther Furth.
Liverpool and Leicester City have engaged in a few exciting matches in recent years, but they won’t play each other this year unless they are drawn against one another in the domestic cups because the Foxes were demoted to the Championship at the end of the previous campaign.
The Singapore crowd will, nevertheless, be treated to a fascinating match. Everything you need to know about the game is provided here.

Jordan Henderson missed Liverpool’s two preseason matches in Germany despite traveling with the team due to negotiations with Saudi Pro League club Al Ettifaq. The 33-year-old’s transfer is essentially finalized and is anticipated to be approved before Liverpool departs for Singapore, so he won’t be traveling with the team.
As the status of his transfer to Al-Ittihad is uncertain, Fabinho has been scheduled to return to training on Wednesday. It is unclear, however, whether he will train with the rest of his teammates. The Brazilian midfielder was not included in the team for the trip to Germany and is most likely to be left out once more as everyone works to finalize his £40 million transfer to Saudi Arabia.
