Cole Palmer might be set to start for Chelsea in a Premier League game for the first time.

That’s what his head coach says.

Cole Palmer could start for Chelsea when they visit Fulham in the Premier League on Monday, according to Mauricio Pochettino, who revealed this today.

The 21-year-old has only been able to make brief cameos from the bench in league play, but he excelled last week when he started for the Blues in their Carabao Cup victory over Brighton.

As a result, it appears that the attacking midfielder has contributed enough to earn a spot in the Premier League starting lineup.

Palmer might start for Chelsea on Monday for the first time in the Premier League, as Pochettino suggested in the press conference on Friday.

Pochettino responded, “Football,” when asked if Palmer could start the match against Fulham.
London): “Perhaps, yes.

Even after just a few weeks with us, I’m incredibly pleased with his performance. He fit in well with the team and was able to perform admirably.

Although he is a young and talented player, I believe I will start him on Monday.

Palmer’s place in the starting lineup when Fulham visits is obvious to us.

He is one of the few players on the team who currently appears to be able to create in the final third after superbly setting up Nicolas Jackson for an assist last week.

In the Blues side right now, nobody is really tearing up any trees in attack, so Palmer is definitely deserving of a league start.

Palmer and Tottenham’s James Maddison were recently compared by Joe Cole, as reported by TNT Sports.
Like Maddison at Spurs, we’re speculating as to whether Palmer can be Chelsea’s creator.
