Mo Salah discusses what he wants Liverpool supporters to remember of him when he exit the club

Mo Salah, who has 213 goals in 351 games, is undoubtedly one of the greatest forwards in Premier League history. However, Salah hopes that he will always have a particular place in the hearts of Liverpool supporters.

The top player for Liverpool, Mo Salah, has stated that he aspires to be regarded as “one of the best players” who has ever played for the team, ranking on par with Steven Gerrard.

Since joining Anfield for £34 million from Roma in 2017, the Egyptian has been a revelation. He quickly established himself as the team’s star, scoring a tonne of goals to help the team win a number of titles, including the FA Cup in 2022, the Premier League in 2020, and the Champions League in 2019.

“I think I want them to always remember that I give everything to the club,” he replied. “I think that’s really significant. People merely serve as a reminder that you genuinely give the club your best.

“I also think that player is among the greatest to have ever played for Liverpool. They are free to choose which is the finest, but they must mention at least one of the best. It’s okay if they say one of the top two.

It’s alright between Stevie and me.” Despite Salah’s outstanding play at Liverpool, it will be difficult for Salah to surpass Gerrard in the hearts of Liverpool supporters given the great midfielder’s valiant performances at Anfield and his part in the team’s historic Champions League comeback in 2005.

Along with his 185 goals in 710 appearances with the Reds, Gerrard also won the FA Cup twice, the League Cup three times, and the UEFA Cup once.

After scoring goals in the team’s opening two games of the season against Brentford and Ipswich, Salah is off to a quick start this year.

Having won the top scorer award three times while at Liverpool in 2017–18, 2018–19, and 2021–22, he will be looking to rival players like Erling Haaland.
