Mohamed Salah has informed Liverpool that he has "already agreed next move" and will depart in the summer.

Although Mohamed Salah has played a significant role in one of the most successful eras in Liverpool’s recent history, one Reds icon believes that his time at Anfield is drawing to an end.

The announcement that this season will be Jurgen Klopp’s final one before he takes a short break from the game has left the Anfield supporters in disbelief. Liverpool’s chances of mounting a title push the next season could be severely damaged by losing Salah in the same summer, but Lawrenson is obviously worried about the worst.

Salah had previously been predicted to depart. Before he officially signed a new contract with the Reds and dedicated the next three years of his career to the team, the Egypt international’s future was a continual source of discussion in the summer of 2022.

But as his current contract ends in the summer of 2025, this season’s conclusion represents Liverpool’s last chance to realistically recover any cash for their iconic striker. Lawrenson has stated his belief that his old group will profit and split up later in the year.

The former Liverpool defender declared, “Mo Salah will definitely leave this summer,” in an interview with Paddy Power. I believe there was a pact last summer, regardless of what transpires this season.

Mohamed Salah has informed Liverpool that he has "already agreed next move" and will depart in the summer.

“He’ll play in Saudi Arabia, where perhaps Liverpool will receive a huge amount and acquire a few players in return. In Saudi Arabia, Salah will rule like a king!

“He had the opportunity to storm into Jurgen Klopp’s office last summer and declare, ‘I want to go,’ but he hasn’t done that. The guys that have replaced Salah are aware that they are competing for the job, which is fantastic—as long as none of them suffer injuries.

Even with Salah’s departure, Lawrenson continued, Liverpool’s offence still has a lot of stars remaining in it. To make up for Salah’s departure and the goals he provides, the former Match of the Day analyst said that another player might be bought.

“It’s evident that Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz, and Diogo Jota like playing together, and Nunez even scored a goal against Burnley! If Mo Salah leaves, which I believe he will, Liverpool may look to add a few more players to fill those slots.”

Liverpool supporters will be intrigued by the “historic” transfer news that Fabrizio Romano shares.

Liverpool supporters will be intrigued by the "historic" transfer news that Fabrizio Romano shares.

Kylian Mbappe has notified PSG that he will be leaving the French team at the end of the 2023–24 season.

The aforementioned news was posted by Fabrizio Romano on his personal X (formerly Twitter) account.

Could Liverpool be in the mix?

Now that the striker is about to become a free agency, Real Madrid is anticipated to seize this opportunity.

Is Liverpool a possible contender?
The World Cup-winning forward has long been linked to us, but expecting Liverpool to make a deal would be, to put it mildly, ludicrous.

Being a free agent would spare us from having to pay an asking price that would set a record. On the other hand, Mbappe’s salary demands ought to be sufficient to stymie any potential negotiations.

According to GOAL, the 25-year-old is reportedly requesting almost £60 million annually.

When accounting for his playing contract and image rights contract, Mo Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, “conservatively” believes that his client would earn between £46.8 and £53.7m over the next few years (Guardian).

Therefore, it’s reasonable to conclude that in order to accommodate Mbappe at Anfield, we would need to completely remove our pay cap.

To be honest, it is simply not going to occur, is it?
