Mohamed Salah: reports say Liverpool’s £60 million offer for the dazzling replacement will be accepted.

Football Insider has learned from sources that Wolves will seek a fee of between £50 and £60 million in order to allow star player Pedro Neto to go in the summer.

In March 2022, the forward signed a long-term deal with Gary O’Neil’s team that would last until 2027, giving them the opportunity to demand a high price for one of their best players.

Football Insider (February 11) said that Neto is anticipated to draw bids in the summer, with Arsenal showing particular interest.

As they look for a long-term successor for Mohamed Salah, Liverpool is rumoured to be in the running for the Portugal international, who is also being watched by clubs throughout Europe.

Trent Alexander-Arnold injury update from Jurgen Klopp: another setback?

Trent Alexander-Arnold was substituted off during halftime of Liverpool’s 3-1 victory over Burnley, according to Jurgen Klopp, because of a recurrent knee issue.

When Alexander-Arnold did not make it back for the second half at Anfield, Curtis Jones moved to right-back and Harvey Elliott took his place, surprising many.

Elliott turned things around for Liverpool, setting up goals for Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz to make it 3-1, but questions were still raised about the vice captain.

After full-time, Klopp provided an update on Alexander-Arnold, who had already been officially withdrawn as a precaution due to an injury that had damaged his knee ligaments a month earlier.
