News about Liverpool’s transfer situation: Jürgen Klopp “makes $49 million decision” after consulting Jörg Schmadtke
Liverpool transfer rumours state that Jörg Schmadtke has recommended an 18-year-old, and Jürgen Klopp is reportedly prepared to give $49 million for a midfield player.
Liverpool will already be aware of its transfer market strategies for 2024. With Thiago Alcântara and Joël Matip both without contracts at the moment, the Reds will need to make more significant decisions in the summer or in January.
There will be additional contract calls even if that pair were to leave, in which case it would be necessary to find successors. With almost 18 months remaining on their contracts, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, and Mohamed Salah are still essential players.
With Alexander-Arnold probably going to extend, we should have a much better idea of Liverpool’s position on all of those players by next summer. Although signing Salah and Van Dijk to longer contracts would make sense, given their ages, there may be more prudence with those two.
Despite Jarell Quansah’s progress, a left-sided center-back should be the first choice, and if one is available, a world-class holding midfielder should be signed. However, this is Liverpool.com’s assessment of the transfer rumours circulating about the Reds as of right now.
Thuram Khéphren (Nice)
Tutto Juve now suggests that Liverpool is prepared to make a $49 million (£39 million/€45 million) offer, following reports earlier in the week that the Reds had ‘asked for the criteria’ that it would take to acquire Nice’s Khéphren Thuram. The player, who was said to be heading to Anfield in the summer, is reportedly coveted by Juventus as well.
According to Liverpool.com, the Reds are not anticipated to be looking for a number six in January after spending heavily on midfield players in the summer. It would have made sense for them to pursue Thuram during the last transfer window rather than the current one, and since that time has past, it would be unexpected if Liverpool made a second move.
Kenan Yildiz, (Juventus)
Given that Jürgen Klopp has been suggested to the 18-year-old attacker by Jörg Schmadtke, a Liverpool transfer play for Juventus wonderkid Kenan Yildiz ‘cannot be ruled out’. That’s what Calciomercato says.
According to the Italian daily, Schmadtke was a big supporter of the German-born adolescent while he was the sporting director at Wolfsburg and continues to be so. The versatile player, who can play as a false nine or winger, is seen to fit in nicely at Liverpool even if Ben Doak is already there. The former Bayern Munich player may receive a “major offer” that is “tempting.”
According to Liverpool.com, Yildiz, who has started five games for Juventus this season as a substitute, seems to be a very gifted player. However, there’s a significant question about how simple it would be to get him to Liverpool after Brexit. In the future, he might be someone to keep an eye on, but maybe not just yet.

prodigy is now the favourite to sign with Liverpool.
Liverpool has set their sights on Sao Paulo’s Lucas Beraldo, a young player, as they attempt to bolster their defence.
Brazil has great expectations for the 20-year-old, and he might end up being a valuable long-term addition to the Premier League team.
It’s no secret that Liverpool needs defence reinforcements, and the 20-year-old Joel Matip replacement may be the best option in the long run. Virgil Van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate are the team’s only other trustworthy central defenders at the moment.
According to a UOL report, Liverpool is the front-runners to sign the 20-year-old defender, but it’s unclear if they can finalise a deal. It will be tempting for the gifted young defender to sign with a major team like Liverpool, but it is unclear if the Premier League team can work out a deal with Sao Paulo.
In addition to playing left-sided central defence, Beraldo can also play right-sided central defence. Additionally, his versatility allows him to play as a defensive midfielder.
Liverpool may have made a smart investment in the 20-year-old if they can work out a fair deal with the Brazilian team for him. The defender might be a valuable long-term asset for Liverpool if he can continue to grow into a top-tier Premier League player.
