Liverpool makes an offer and moves decisively to capture a playmaker - Report
Liverpool have sacked senior midfielders such as Milner, Ox, Keita, Henderson and Fabinho and replaced them with Mac Allister, Szobozlai and Endo to bolster business at the park’s center this summer.

The Reds still need to strengthen their first team, but for now it seems they are focusing on improving their youth academy.

The Merseysiders have already completed the signing of two 16-year-old stars: Trey Nyoni (midfielder) from Leicester and Amara Nallo (defender) from West Ham United.

If media reports are to be believed, Liverpool have now made a bid to sign 15-year-old attacking midfielder Samuel Inacio.

According to Tutto Mercato Web, the Anfield club would have made an official offer for the purchase of the Atalanta attacking midfielder. The Italian source said the six-time European champion is moving with conviction to bring in the talented boy to improve his youth academy.

Inacio is the son of Brazilian former striker Joao Batista Inacio, better known as Pia, who played for several Italian clubs, including Atalanta and Napoli.

Samuel made his debut for Italy’s Under-15 national team last year, making 7 appearances and contributing directly to 8 goals (7 goals and 1 assist).

Furthermore, a few days ago he made his Under 16 debut and scored in the 3-1 win against England, playing mainly as a striker.

Jürgen Klopp has just been offered 30 reasons by Cody Gakpo to continue Liverpool’s transfer overhaul.

Cody Gakpo has yet to come to grips with life as a midfielder. The Dutchman is a solid player but he has a big department to improve on.
Cody Gakpo has yet to come to grips with life as a midfielder. The Dutchman is a solid player but he has a big department to improve on.

Cody Gakpo faces a tough challenge this month in his first two rounds in the Premier League. Jürgen Klopp has so far taken four points from his duels against Chelsea and Bournemouth, and in those games he has used Gakpo as a midfielder rather than a striker.

The Dutchman was deployed as the number eight left wing in the two games, largely due to a lack of options in the engine room at the moment. Since Klopp approved the surprise departures of both Jordan Henderson and Fabinho this summer, he has so far only replaced the pair with Wataru Endo, who only signed on the dotted line on Friday.

Additionally, Thiago Alcântara and Stefan Bajčetić are currently recovering from injuries, with Gakpo forced to play as a makeshift midfielder to fill his boss’s void. The 24-year-old talent performed admirably but seemed to have an obvious weakness in his game.

Simply put, Gakpo is not used to touching the ball often. As a striker, he was used to being involved in the last third before creating chances or scoring a goal for PSV Eindhoven – his former club – which explains why he sometimes found himself a little uncomfortable when he had to offer himself as a a factor constant. possibility of moving to Anfield. Against Chelsea in the opening weekend, he amassed a total of just 10 completions in 65 minutes before being replaced by Curtis Jones, who then completed 15 in just 25 minutes on the pitch. No player who started the game completed fewer passes than Gakpo, which is quite incredible considering his position in the center of the park.

Liverpool hosted Bournemouth at Anfield this weekend. Klopp again made the decision to use Gakpo as number eight – with Jones sidelined with an ankle problem – but despite the Reds winning 3-1, the same problem arose. The Dutch international had just 20 completed passes this time around, again the fewest for a player in the red. Gakpo has played a total of 127 minutes in England’s top flight this season and is averaging just 21 assists per 90 minutes. It’s far too early to judge numbers as the sample size is simply too small to be reliable, but its average is very low for a midfielder in a dominant team.

Cody Gakpo has yet to come to grips with life as a midfielder. The Dutchman is a solid player but he has a big department to improve on.
To illustrate, Dominik Szoboszlai has averaged 50 out of 90 successful passes in an identical role on the right flank, and it’s also worth noting that he’s a new signing, having arrived from RB Leipzig earlier this summer. Jones, who could return in the coming weeks, averaged 53 out of 90 assists last season in the Premier League.

Gakpo is generally a positive contributor and his ceiling is undeniably high, but if he is to continue playing in the middle of the park he will need to give the Reds more control by getting on the ball more often and finding his teammates with accurate passing .
    .
Speaking to AD last season, Gakpo spoke about his gradual evolution to become more of a center-of-the-park midfielder.

“Guus Hiddink was the first to mention the change,” he said. \”He was at PSV for a while as a sounding board. I didn’t want to believe it then. And not even when Roger Schmidt later said the same thing to PSV. I was more stubborn than now and felt good on the left wing. But at the last World Cup I was already more central on the pitch and at Liverpool also permanently in the last six months. I’m just more excited to improve at that place in the near future.”

“He’s been playing number eight pretty much all preseason,” said his manager, Klopp, when asked about his performance this weekend. “Players can play in different positions in modern football. Not even Szoboszlai played in that position for his old club. The role suits him.

Klopp might be right, but based on his past performances, Gakpo seems like a striker who receives the ball less often but poses a real threat whenever he’s involved. He certainly has the quality to develop as a midfielder, but his obscurity perhaps offers a glimpse of Liverpool’s need to continue their top-flight rebuilding work.

The engine room renovation is nearing completion with the additions of Endo, Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister this summer. However, more reinforcements are needed if Klopp really wants to challenge on all fronts this season.

Liverpool have a new reason not to love Eden Hazard after the Reds left in shame
Chelsea legend Eden Hazard has often been a thorn in Liverpool’s side.

Liverpool have a new reason not to love Eden Hazard, after he was previously teased on the pitch by the Belgian. The former Chelsea star was reportedly instrumental in Romeo Lavia’s decision to move from Anfield to Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool spent much of the summer trying to sign Lavia. The Reds have rejected several offers from Southampton who value the player at at least £50m. Chelsea stepped in and matched the asking price, agreeing to pay £53m initially, plus a further £5m in addition. Eventually Liverpool also received an offer which was accepted by the Saints and it was up to the player to decide.

Like Moises Caicedo, Lavia chose Chelsea and signed a seven-year contract. To throw even more salt on Liverpool’s wounds, it appears that old nemesis Hazard influenced his decision.

Athletic say Hazard spoke to his Belgian compatriot before the deal was finalised. Hazard reportedly reassured Lavia that Chelsea would be the right place for him and provided insight into what it was like to live near London.

Chelsea have released a short clip of Lavia talking to Hazard on the phone after revealing the midfielder. However, the first conversation between the pair is said to have occurred earlier.

This latest development will only infuriate Liverpool fans even more. Hazard was often at his best on the pitch when he played against the Reds. In his 18 games against Liverpool, he scored seven goals. Only against Arsenal did he score the same number of goals.

Lavia might still have opted for a move to Chelsea even without Hazard’s influence. After his official announcement, the 19-year-old gave three reasons why he moved to the Blues.

Lavia told the Chelsea website: “Three factors influenced my decision. The project and the ambitions of the club were decisive factors in my choice to join Chelsea, as was the history of the club.

“It’s really exciting to be part of this football club and to write a bit of history. I am really happy and proud. It is a privilege to wear this jersey.

“Most of the players we signed are players I’ve played against and I was like ‘Oooooof, these players are good’, so it’s a great feeling to be able to work with them.” They are young and good players, so it’s nice to improve each other. This is the only way to be successful.”

£66m beast makes Chelsea decision - Blues negotiate £43m man - Chelsea make £50m move on signing
£66m beast makes Chelsea decision – Blues negotiate £43m man – Chelsea make £50m move on signing

Here’s a recap of the top Chelsea news and gossip we think you might have missed on icfootballnews…

Chelsea have increased their interest in Rayan Cherki and are in direct contact with the Frenchman’s representatives.

CHELSEA have already been busy in the transfer market this summer, snapping up some players – but also allowing a number of stars to leave to raise money.

Cherki is a man who is now on the agenda of the Chelsea board, as he meets the criteria to be one of the most exciting young players in the game, with the ability to become one of the brightest stars in the game.

It has been claimed Lyon are unwilling to sell – but that hasn’t stopped media reports that Chelsea have been in touch over a potential deal for the talented star.

    WHAT IS THE LATEST –

Football.london understands the French club have not said they are not for sale, but with the financial difficulties plaguing at the moment, they will try to squeeze every penny they can out of Chelsea if they make an offer. An offer is currently under consideration and representatives of Chelsea and Cherki have been trying for a few days to reach an agreement on personal terms.

French football expert Jonathan Johnson has recently hinted that they may be forced to sell some of their top talent this summer.

    WHAT DID HE SAY –

“Rayan Cherki might be someone to watch. There were reports linking him to CHELSEA. Breaking through a bit earlier than Barcola, he’s another promising young player who’s been making waves for some time. He’s someone who is firmly in the focus of Europe’s top clubs, as we saw when PSG tried to sign him last year.

“I think Cherki is someone to watch as I wouldn’t be surprised if other big clubs replace him as well.”

“Lyon is generally not lacking in talent that could interest all of Europe. If I had to choose two players likely to leave Lyon this summer, I would probably put Cherki and Castello Lukeba ahead of Barcola then, but it depends on the most attractive offers Lyon face during these financial difficulties.

Once these problems are solved, I think it will be more difficult to sell Lyon. So it really depends on which club will be the first to come up with an attractive offer for Lyon.

    BALOGUN DECISION TAKEN –

Chelsea are now looking to sign Folarin Balogun from Arsenal – who, interestingly, has the same agent as Romeo Lavia.
CHELSEA have reportedly decided to sign Arsenal star Folarin Balogun for £50m this summer.

With just a few days left in the transfer window and Chelsea working hard to sign a new striker – Balogun is a man they are seriously interested in. The striker impressed in Ligue 1 last season, scoring an impressive 22 goals for French side Reims – and many believed he would get a chance from Mikel Arteta.

However, that is not the case, as the Spanish manager cannot guarantee him the regular playing time he wants, and is reportedly desperate for a move from the Emirates, and Chelsea are in deal talks.

    WHAT IS THE LATEST –

Gunners want £50m to part ways with Balogun but Chelsea don’t think he’s worth that much, BBC report says

After initial talks with the Gunners over a fee, the Stamford Bridge club ended interest in him.

At Monaco, the offer for the 22-year-old has already been rejected, while Inter are trying to negotiate a loan package with the right to buy.

IS BALOGUN WORTH £50 MILLION? The youngster is certainly a talent and the kind of player the Chelsea board have been dying to sign in recent weeks – but he’s not worth £50m yet and anyone would be mad to pay that .

He scored an impressive 22 goals for Reims last season, but Mikel Arteta has worked with him all summer and if he thinks he’s not good enough for the club, other clubs should keep one eye open.

CHELSEA need a striker ready to make a difference – not a player who might struggle in the Premier League.

So, if the reports are true and Chelsea have opted against signing the youngster, they need to hurry up and land a striker who can have repercussions for the club.

    VLAHOVIC DECISION –

£66m beast makes Chelsea decision - Blues negotiate £43m man - Chelsea make £50m move on signing
Chelsea have discussed signing Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic this summer and he has made the decision to leave the Italians. CHELSEA have already agreed numerous transfer deals this summer – with some top players leaving and big names moving to Stamford Bridge.

But their transfer deal is up and running and a new centre-forward is set to join London – especially as the club really struggled to score weekly goals last season.

And Vlahovic – who joined Juventus last summer – is a player who will leave the Italians this summer after missing out on the Champions League.

    WHAT IS THE LATEST  –

Juventus are keen to strike a deal with Chelsea involving Romelu Lukaku but are expected to sell Dusan Vlahovic in particular to fund a transfer.

As things stand, Vlahovic doesn’t want to leave. Chelsea are yet to return to the negotiating table over a possible swap deal.

It is understood that funds could be raised through the sale of Moise Kean. However, if Juventus lost Kean, they would likely look to sign Alvaro Morata as his replacement – not Lukaku.

WOULD HE BE A GOOD SIGNING FOR CHELSEA?

Vlahovic is a brilliant striker who has what it takes to be a big star at CHELSEA and if they manage to get a deal done he would be a real statement for the Blues board. Chelsea’s attack is very exciting and should score a few goals – but they still need to add a good striker to that attack – and Vlahovic could be that man.

But if he doesn’t want to leave the Italians, Chelsea will have to go ahead and try to sign someone as the transfer window is just days away from closing.

'Ready to start' - Chelsea expecting key signing debut tomorrow night
Chelsea play a game on Friday night which means there is a press date on Thursday and one of the big questions for Mauricio Pochettino this afternoon was which of his signings would make his debut.

Pochettino has confirmed Moises Caicedo is ‘ready to start’ – and while he hasn’t confirmed he will start, he certainly gave the impression that he is.

In a way, we’re surprised: Caicedo looked so out of step when he came on against West Ham on Sunday that you’d think he’d need more than four days of training to keep up with the rest of the encounter. team. However, coming on as a substitute is always more difficult and getting him on the pitch early on can help him settle into the game and find his rhythm.

Either way, tomorrow the Ecuador international has the perfect opportunity to redeem his dodgy debut.

Like the Morocco international, Aubameyang struggled to break into the first team at Stamford Bridge and spent much of the season on the bench before finding a new club in the summer. In his Instagram story, the Marseille ace wrote: \”All the best my brother. Free Hakim *crying laughter emoji* *clapping fist emoji* *heart hands emoji*. \”

“The situation is where it is because of both sides. Both sides have reached an agreement. Before signing, we were informed about each player’s situation,” added Pochettino. “After signing, we had the squad we had. It’s so clear that nothing has changed and if there’s anything to report, we’ll report it.

Chelsea have signed striker Deivid Washington from Santos for £17.1m (€20m) on a seven-year deal.

The club will now decide whether the 18-year-old Brazilian joins Mauricio Pochettino’s first-team squad this season or goes on loan to break into first-team football on a regular basis.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic is expected to undergo a medical with the Blues in the next 24-48 hours.

Chelsea will pay a fee of around £14m, including performance-related surcharges, to New England Revolution for Petrovic and have agreed personal terms with the Serbian international.

Petrovic becomes Chelsea’s second great goalkeeper this summer, after Brighton’s Robert Sanchez signed a £25million deal following Kepa Arrizabalaga’s move to Real Madrid and Edouard Mendy’s move to Al Ahli. The 23-year-old has excelled during the New England Revolution, keeping seven clean sheets in 22 MLS games this season.

“What you would say about Chelsea is that they really impressed in these two games. I think they played well against Liverpool, I think they played well against West Ham.

“But when you spend so much money it’s strange when not many of us place Chelsea in the top four. That doesn’t mean it won’t happen.” But not many people are saying that with that amount of money spent, the team will finish in the top four. It doesn’t seem fair to me for that amount.

“I feel that even though I was very impressed with them in those two games, if you ask me how many players they need to challenge Manchester City – and I’m not talking about winning the league – I still think they need a team goalkeeper, even though they have just signed Robert Sánchez I still think they need a centre-back because Thiago Silva is 38 years old.

“I don’t think there is an absolute goalscorer. Your goalscorer doesn’t have to be your centre-forward, as Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah plays on the right wing. So it’s not a criticism of Nicolas Jackson, he’s just arrived at the club and I’m impressed with him.

“But when you look at those key positions it still looks like four players need to come in to challenge Manchester City and that doesn’t feel right considering the amount of money they’ve spent.”

Chelsea remain active during the summer transfer window, with Deivid Washington the latest player to arrive in West London

Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Deivid Washington from Santos as the Blues remain active through the summer transfer window. The club made a number of transfers as well as completing their first team squad overhaul.

Washington follows in the footsteps of Angelo Gabriel, who also joined from Santos and has since been on loan to Strasbourg after joining Mauricio Pochettino’s squad for pre-season in the United States. The 18-year-old arrives at Stamford Bridge on a deal that could be in the region of £17m.

The striker parted ways with Santos on Tuesday after scoring six goals in 22 appearances for the Brazilian side in 2023 and signed a seven-year deal with the option for a further year. Upon signing, Washington said, “I can’t wait to make my debut here at such a great club, with lots of goals and assists.”

The youngster is unlikely to be the Blues’ latest signing, as Pochettino said in his pre-Luton press conference that two more could join him.

He said: “We need at least one goalkeeper. We have very talented young goalkeepers but they need time. We need more and then we talked about an attacking player, the right profile If we can add the right profile, yes, but not to bring players to be able to add another one. We don’t want to stop the evolution of some boys, Broja and Nkunku.

Chelsea still appear to be looking for a right winger who could also play as an attacking midfielder after Michael Olise turned down a move to Stamford Bridge. football.london understand that Chelsea were once confident of securing Olise’s signature. After talks with those close to the France Under-21 international, the two sides verbally agreed on personal terms before paying his release clause.

Joe Shields is understood to have played a leading role in the negotiations, having recently played a key role in bringing Romeo Lavia to the Cobham training ground. However, despite the Blues’ best efforts, Palace capitalized on interest in Olise and tied him up in extra time at Selhurst Park.

However, according to French outlet L’Équipe, Chelsea are interested in Rennes’ Jeremy Doku. According to the report, Manchester City are currently leading the race for the 21-year-old winger, who has been identified by Pep Guardiola as a replacement for Riyad Mahrez. L’Équipe add that Rennes are reportedly ready to sell Doku this summer for around €60m (£51.4m). The Belgium international, whose contract at Roazhon Park expires in 2025, made 29 appearances for the French side in Ligue 1 last season, contributing directly to eight goals.

Doku started the new season in excellent form, scoring a goal against Metz on the opening weekend. His impressive performances and low center of gravity have earned him comparisons to Eden Hazard.

In a Facebook Live video with La Tribune for RTBF, former Premier League star Phillipe Albert explained why he would be a great addition to the English top flight. He said: “He has incredible qualities which were discovered at Anderlecht, but he has been injured a lot in the last two or three seasons.”

“If he is 100% physically, he will assert himself and repel opponents. It’s a bit like Eden Hazard at the start of his career with his double, triple accelerations which can hurt a lot.” “In England some teams are still a little naive at this level so it would hurt. He can play both sides, but I always believe that a player has to play on the right foot, so I would put him on the right foot. The role. The job of a winger is also to take care of the striker. Liverpool new signing Dominik Szoboszlai has impressed in his first two games on Merseyside after a warning from his close friend and former Salzburg team-mate.

A message appeared on Dominik Szoboszlai’s phone just before he was about to fly to Liverpool to take the biggest step in his impressive career development.

It came from his close friend and former team-mate Erling Haaland and contained just two words: ‘Get ready’.

It was ‘monster’ after ‘monster’, back-to-back world-class Premier League talent in a year, both for amounts that hardly reflect their value in today’s bloated transfer market.

Besides, Haaland’s message was hardly necessary. It looks like Szoboszlai was born ready to play for Liverpool… right down to the tattoo he once had on his arm, which is loosely based on a quote from Anfield legend Steven Gerrard.

It’s no surprise to those who know the 22-year-old Hungarian that he took over as Gerrard’s number 8 at the club he joined for £60m in late July. The midfielder does not lack confidence or belief in his own talent.

He showed it at a young age: he was just 16 when he sent the Hungarian U17 team to the European Championship with a miraculous injury in an injury-caused win against Haalands Norway, and just 17 when he made his debut under senior national team coach Marco Rossi.

Rossi then captained the midfielder, for the same reason Jürgen Klopp spent £60m to bring him to Anfield. “Because of his personality and his natural leadership,” explained the Italian coach.

“The most impressive thing from the start was his incredible personality, his natural leadership at such a young age and all of this, of course, coupled with his talent and dedication.

Liverpool new signing Dominik Szoboszlai has impressed in his first two games on Merseyside after a warning from his close friend and former
Haaland and Szoboszlai during their stay in Salzburg

“Everyone here in the national team has no doubt that Dominik could be one of Liverpool’s most important players in the future.”

Like Haaland, a release clause in Szoboszlai’s contract allowed him to leave RB Leipzig at less than the current market value of a world-class midfielder.

Chelsea almost doubled that amount for Enzo Fernandez and then Moises Caicedo, while Manchester United paid almost half that amount for aging Casemiro.

Yet two games after joining Liverpool he has already shown great promise which has every manager who has worked with him raving about his talent… and hinting that he is the best midfielder in this game. which has been a simply insane summer transfer window. The Premier League could be.

The latest Hungarian to play for Liverpool is goalkeeper Adam Bogdan, Szoboszlai’s former Hungarian team-mate and someone who has no doubts about his success at Anfield and knows the club as well as he does.

“He was born to be a star.” He’s the biggest talent Hungary has had in recent years, but maybe overall. And he isn’t fazed by the pressure that status brings; he will not play for Liverpool.

“One of his best friends in football is Erling Haaland and I think he has a similar mentality to him. He’s not really scared and doesn’t get nervous. The greater the pressure, the better his performance will be. “The money for a Hungarian player is incredible, but given his heritage, Liverpool can say with great certainty that this is possible.”

Klopp called him a monster when he signed. Haaland describes it the same way. For his coach of the national team Rossi has a monstrous “potential”.

“You see how he has grown so much every year under the guidance of excellent coaches. He now works with one of the best coaches in the world and with Klopp he can take these steps to the highest level.

Liverpool more likely to sign £38million player than Tottenham, he wants to join them – reporter

    Piero Hincapie
Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie will join Liverpool ahead of Tottenham Hotspur.

Hincapie has been linked with a move to Anfield as the Reds look for a promising left centre-back.

And according to journalist Ben Jacobs it is a move that would please the player very much. However, on the Last Word On Spurs podcast, Jacobs said that while Liverpool may be the most likely destination for Hincapie, they are still not entirely convinced of him.

“The last name I would put on the centre-back, even though I think he’s potentially more Liverpool and maybe still West Ham, is still [Piero] Hincapie,” explained the journalist. “He is a left-wing central defender, with very high potential and good experience, and Tottenham have certainly gathered numbers and data on him. I don’t think they have selected him at the moment but he could be a name to watch if he wants to move up to the Premier League in the coming weeks.

“I don’t think it’s fair at this stage to say Spurs are in the running, but bear in mind the point I made earlier about what happens if you miss a goal. Who do you turn to in the last few hours of the window and that’s where you could get some surprises.

“But I’ve been told that if he becomes a Premier League club the player would love Liverpool, but he’s not quite sold yet and West Ham, who have been missing Harry Maguire, are still a club to watch.”

    Liverpool linked up with Hincapie

    Piero Hincapie
At his most basic form, Hincapie fulfills what Liverpool are presumably looking for in a new defensive signing. Youngster with great potential, already playing in one of Europe’s top leagues and – crucially – left-handed.

It would also seem that his signing would not cost much. Last week, Ecuadorian newspaper Teradeportes reported that Leverkusen would demand around £38million to sell the Ecuadorian. It’s well within reach for Liverpool.

Still, we know the Reds don’t usually attack a player unless they fully believe in him. Also at a relatively cheap price.

To that end, they’re supposed to be keeping tabs on Hincapie, presumably to gauge his true level.

If they think the 21-year-old is worth a try, we might see some movement next week. From what I hear, Hincapie would be more than happy to join us.

But it’s also worth mentioning that the centre-back has the same agent as Moises Caicedo. Not a man or organization that Liverpool have enjoyed success with of late. You might want to stay away. One thing to keep in mind though.

Liverpool just missed perfect transfer opportunity for Jürgen Klopp as $25m USMNT star move confirmed

Liverpool just missed perfect transfer opportunity for Jürgen Klopp as $25m USMNT star move confirmed
Liverpool signed Wataru Endo this week but made the decision to ignore USMNT star Tyler Adams, who has just been officially announced as Bournemouth’s new player.

Liverpool made a relatively curious move into the transfer market earlier this week. With Jürgen Klopp desperate for defensive midfielders at Anfield after persuading both Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to move to Saudi Arabia this summer, the Reds have invested in the services of one Wataru Endo.

The Japan captain is a relatively unknown quantity on England’s shores, with the vast majority of Liverpool fans needing to Google his name to find out the details surrounding his profile. Endo was officially announced as Klopp’s latest signing on Friday afternoon, joining from Stuttgart for $21m.

In fact, he made his Anfield debut at the weekend having been introduced to Premier League life as a second-half substitute against Bournemouth. Endo is certainly the type of player that Liverpool are missing at the moment, as the Reds’ squad is brimming with attacking power.

During his very first conversation with Endo in the Liverpool dressing room, Klopp told him: “Once you are available, we really need you.” we really need you Your heart and your footballing legs and your brain, we need it.” . We have a very good team. Willing to work, but very offensive.”

A selfless midfielder who is more than willing to work and gain ground, Endo will be a welcome addition, but he is already 30 years old. Given his age, many fans believe another defence-focused transfer is needed to bolster Klopp’s engine room, including Cheick Doucoure.

It remains to be seen whether Liverpool will pursue a younger role model in the coming days, but interestingly no decision was made for Tyler Adams last week. The USMNT star has now joined Bournemouth from Leeds United (according to BBC Sport), with the Cherries triggering his relatively modest $25m (£20m/€23m) release clause. The American midfielder was relegated from the Premier League last season and was therefore available at such a reasonable price.

Liverpool just missed perfect transfer opportunity for Jürgen Klopp as $25m USMNT star move confirmed
Adams isn’t much like Endo in many ways. He is six years younger, but just as diligent, energetic and tireless. Adams is a true field runner in the middle of the field, playing almost shades of Jordan Henderson and James Milner at their athletic best in a redshirt.

He’s a natural when it comes to covering too much ground for his teammates, and first emerged as a prospect within the notorious Red Bull network, which always bodes well for a move to Liverpool. He arrived on the New York scene as a teenager before moving to Europe in 2019, signing for RB Leipzig in Germany.

Up until the age of 23, Adams only represented teams under the Red Bull umbrella, with those suits designed to uphold the famed energy drink brand’s core values. RB Leipzig and Red Bull Salzburg tend to show intensity, life and power on the pitch, with very welcome counter-attacks and pressure, similar to Liverpool under Klopp.

This explains why the Reds have often ripped off the best players within the Red Bull network. Naby Keïta, Takumi Minamino, Ibrahima Konaté and Sadio Mané are just a few examples of players who have performed in Leipzig or Salzburg before moving on to Liverpool, with Dominik Szoboszlai the latest to follow the same path at Merseyside.

Adams was available at a reduced price this summer, but instead of taking him to Anfield alongside Endo, Klopp appears to have missed the opportunity to move. With the window closing in less than two weeks, it remains uncertain whether Liverpool will pursue another transfer market addition.

If one thing is certain, it is that Klopp is taking a big risk if Endo is his latest reinforcement.

Chelsea star absent from training despite Mauricio Pochettino's double injury boost
Chelsea news: Mykhailo Mudryk was absent from Chelsea training on Wednesday but there has been a double wave of injuries since.

Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk was absent from training on Wednesday as the Blues step up their preparations for Friday night’s game against Luton Town.

The Ukraine international was on the bench against West Ham at the weekend and showed promising signs of living up to the hefty transfer fee attached to his move. There were times when the winger’s crosses went wide or were intercepted while his finishing attempts are still questionable.

After struggling last season following the January move, it was hoped the 22-year-old could return to his best form. Problems with a lack of fitness have created problems that could ideally be solved by a full pre-season, although he has yet to feature under Mauricio Pochettino.

His absence from training might come as a slight surprise as Sky Sports report he is among the players missing on Wednesday morning. It remains to be seen whether this is due to injury concerns, a precautionary measure or some other reason ahead of the third game of the season.

Pochettino is reinforced by two returnees who seem expected: striker Armando Broja and defender Benoit Badiashile. The former is coming back from an anterior cruciate ligament injury he suffered late last year which horribly ruled him out for the rest of the season.

The Cobham academy graduate is back in training, although he is unlikely to be back in action anytime soon after suffering such a serious injury. The head coach also hinted that Broja was thinking long-term, suggesting a new striker shouldn’t slow his development.

As for Badiashile, the defender impressed after his transfer in January but late-season injuries carried over into pre-season and he was sidelined for months. A return to training is also on the cards as the club have confirmed the centre-back will train with the ball on the pitch when he returns to form.

All in all, Pochettino is confident that the end of the light injury crisis will come to an end in the coming weeks, although doubts remain over Mudryk’s recent absence.

Chelsea spent over £300m in the summer transfer window after spending £600m on signings last season

Chelsea are set to confirm two transfers ahead of their next Premier League clash against Luton Town on Friday night. The Blues have already spent over £300m this summer, taking their total signing spend to over £900m in the past 12 months.

The Blues have already signed eight signings, including several young players, and Mauricio Pochettino are still waiting for at least a few more signings before the window closes, football.london reveal. Chelsea have picked up just one point from their opening two Premier League games but are hoping for drastic improvements from last season.

Several departures are still expected in the final stages of the transfer window, including Romelu Lukaku and Callum Hudson-Odoi, who are looking to leave Stamford Bridge on permanent contracts. The future of Trevoh Chalobah and Conor Gallagher remains uncertain ahead of the final nine days of the summer transfer window.

Chelsea are now expecting to sign goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic from the New England Revolution. The Blues reportedly agreed a deal with the MLS club on Monday, reportedly worth £12.5m plus a further £1.5m in surcharges.

    Petrovic
Petrovic will fly to England in the coming days to finalize his move to Chelsea. A medical is scheduled ahead of the Blues’ game against Luton Town on Friday. The 23-year-old keeper won’t be the only confirmed signing this week as Deivid Washington has already passed a medical and an announcement should be made “soon” according to Fabrizio Romano. The West London club are looking to add at least one more attacking option to their ranks before the transfer window closes. Pochettino wants a right winger who can also operate as number 10 through the centre, football.london understands this.

Mohammed Kudus and Rayan Cherki remain in Blues care, but other targets are under surveillance. A deal to sign Michael Olise from Crystal Palace collapsed last week.

    Aubameyang dig

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has moved to Chelsea as he congratulates Hakim Ziyech on his move to Galatasaray. The 30-year-old winger had an uncertain future in West London for a while before finally securing a move to the Turkish top flight.

Ziyech then reposted Aubameyang’s post to his Instagram story. Unsurprisingly, Chelsea fans have not been happy with the Gabonese international’s coup at the club and have been expressing their feelings online.

    Lukaku ‘agreement’

    Aubameyang dig
Asked if he could reinstate Romelu Lukaku in the Chelsea squad, Mauricio Pochettino replied: “It’s not just one team, it takes two teams to find the best solution. You can’t just put it on the club, it affects both sides.

“The situation is where it is because of both sides. Both sides have reached an agreement. Before signing, we were informed about each player’s situation,” added Pochettino. “After signing, we had the squad we had. It’s so clear that nothing has changed and if there’s anything to report, we’ll report it.

“We don’t have to do anything, I have to be focused on my team and try to do well. We can’t waste energy on a situation that was obvious before we arrived at Chelsea.”

    West Ham defeat

Chelsea suffered their first defeat of the 2023-24 Premier League season on Sunday at the hands of London rivals West Ham United. The Blues failed to capitalize on their dominance in the first half with Enzo Fernandez missing from the penalty spot. Michail Antonio and Lucas Paqueta scored after the break to give the Hammers all three points.

Carney Chukwuemeka, on the other hand, went off injured after an excellent performance with a goal, another blow for Pochettino.

Liverpool have signed deals for Leicester City midfielder Trey Nyoni and West Ham United centre-back Amara Nallo.

Liverpool have strengthened their ranks within their academy with the signing of 16-year-old duo Trey Nyoni, Leicester City midfielder, and West Ham centre-back Amara Nallo.

Both will join the Reds U18 squad directly, where they will work under manager Marc Bridge-Wilkinson.

Much-loved midfielder Nyoni, who turned 16 in June, joined Leicester’s Under-18 side last season aged 15 and has made 13 appearances in the Premier League South Under-18s. 18, while also making two appearances in the FA Youth Cup.

The youngster has represented England at Under-16 level but also holds Zimbabwean citizenship through his family.

“It’s really nice to see Trey added to the list of top scorers with just one great goal,” said Leicester Under-18 manager Adam Barradell after Nyoni’s win over Brighton in March. “He joined the U18 team just before Christmas and is starting to learn about U18 football. He’s a young boy and he’s been a good influence on the band, which is gratifying.

Liverpool have signed deals for Leicester City midfielder Trey Nyoni and West Ham United centre-back Amara Nallo.
Nallo, who turns 17 in November, made his Under-18 debut for West Ham last season and signed a scholarship deal for the club in May.

“I would describe Amara as a Rolls Royce of centre-backs,” Hammer Under-16 coach Carlton Cole said earlier this year. “He has a great left foot and is elegant when moving with the ball. He can play the ball with both feet and has also worked on his heading ability. He’s a player with a high ceiling.”

Liverpool have already bought a number of players to bolster the academy ranks, including Bobby Clark, Ben Doak, Stefan Bajectic and Kaide Gordon, all of whom have since played for the first team under Jurgen Klopp. Calum Scanlon, who played in pre-season, is another such signing.
