After playing for two years under Amorim, Joao Palhinha anticipated that his former manager would take over for Jurgen Klopp.
The confirmation of Ruben Amorim as Jurgen Klopp’s replacement as Liverpool manager is imminent.
Joao Palhinha, a star player for Fulham who spent two years playing for Amorim before joining the Premier League in 2022, says as much.
Amorim is reportedly a top contender to replace Klopp at Anfield following Xabi Alonso’s decision to extend his contract with Bayer Leverkusen.
Amorim have the “quality” to stand up to the significant task on Merseyside and manage the “pressure,” according to Palhinha.
“One of the greatest coaches in Portugal, Ruben possesses a great deal of quality. Since Braga, he has performed admirably, he informed O Jogo. He is well-versed in the game and enjoys a deep bond with the players.
“He won’t be in Portugal for very long the way he’s developing. He’s not going to stay in Portugal for lack of opportunity.
“He dreams and aims to win another title with Sporting and then the future will be in his hands.”
“Yes, of course, but the pressure is different,” he continued.
“Being the head coach of a major Portuguese team means that you are under constant pressure to succeed from both the club’s size and its supporters.
“The supporters, the team, and the entire globe put pressure on a coach of Liverpool. Given how things are going, I believe it will only take time.”

“Magical”: The world press praises the “exceptional” Liverpool player, as 9/10 rating says it all.
Conor Bradley of Liverpool received great feedback following his performance for Northern Ireland against Romania. He received a player rating of 9 out of 10 for his performance.
In an international friendly on Friday night, Northern Ireland and Romania tied 1-1, with Liverpool defender Conor Bradley being the standout player.
The 20-year-old was given a fresh role that allowed him to contribute on both sides of the pitch. He recovered possession early on to help his team score their first goal in the seventh minute, starting a performance that Belfast Live named Man of the Match.
Bradley’s performance earned him a 9 out of 10 player rating, with recognition given to his work ethic and status as the Green Army’s “standout player” on the pitch.
The Belfast Telegraph, who was pleased by the Liverpool star’s attitude and skill, also called his performance “magical.” Jürgen Klopp, the club manager, has previously highlighted both of these aspects of his game.
Bradley recently talked to BBC Sport about Klopp while representing Northern Ireland at the international level. “He’s just good with me and helps me out when I need help,” stated the man.
“Hopefully at the end of the season with Liverpool I’ll have a couple more medals to my name, which would be brilliant and give the gaffer the send-off he deserves.”
“I will always be grateful to him because he has given me my first chance and has helped me a lot. Although winning the Premier League would be wonderful, there is still a lot of work to be done and many games remaining.
According to Liverpool.com, Conor Bradley is making rapid progress since being given a run of first team games, and it appears that he is duplicating the impressive displays for Northern Ireland that Liverpool supporters have been witnessing. After an outstanding year thus far, it’s terrific to see him get the credit he deserves, and it’s fascinating to see how amazing the 20-year-old could get. Against Romania, he displayed his best offensive and defensive skills along with more evidence of his boundless potential.
In certain games where the vice captain plays in midfield, Klopp might even think about using both of them while Trent Alexander-Arnold gets ready to make a comeback. Richard Hughes, the sporting director, won’t need to consider right-backs as possible additions this summer.
