Premier League starting lineup for Liverpool against Bournemouth.

Following Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea last weekend, Jurgen Klopp acknowledged that there were both positives and negatives to be learned from the game.

The Reds demonstrated their attacking skill, which they have frequently shown in preseason, particularly in the first half. Defensively, there were questions because Chelsea repeatedly found it too easy to get through Liverpool’s midfield.

Although Klopp shouldn’t face as difficult of a test against Bournemouth at Anfield, he can’t take anything for granted. Andoni Iraola, the new manager of Bournemouth, will be eager to pull off a major upset after the Reds’ season-ending loss to the Cherries.

This is how Liverpool might set up in their matchup with Bournemouth.

Against Bournemouth, Liverpool expected to start with a (4-3-3) formation.

GK – Alisson, is one of the few players whose reputation was enhanced by last season’s subpar performances because he frequently helped Liverpool out of trouble. He performed in a similar manner against Chelsea, and it is certain that he will start against Bournemouth.

RB – Trent Alexander-Arnold: The results of the famous Alexander-Arnold experiment are still inconsistent. He consistently presents a strong offensive presence but a shaky defense, and the space he frees up is frequently targeted by opposition attacks.

CB – Ibrahima Konate—After putting forth a tremendous effort against Chelsea, the center back will need to be particularly alert against Bournemouth to fill the space left by Alexander-Arnold.

CB – Virgil van Dijk appeared closer to his best against Chelsea and handled Nicolas Jackson well. On Saturday, he’ll face Dominic Solanke, a former teammate.

LB – Andy Robertson – The Scot has had trouble adjusting to Liverpool’s new system, never seeming completely at ease playing as a third center-back when the ball is not in his possession. Should still be approved for the time being though.

DM – Alexis Mac Allister. Mac Allister, who played holding midfield during the Chelsea match, is one person who is desperate to see Liverpool sign a holding midfielder. Even though his role against the Blues was still not ideal, he did a fantastic job.

CM – Dominik Szoboszlai, who made his Premier League debut last weekend, will be hoping to provide a little more offensive output against the Cherries.

CM – Cody Gakpo has somehow found himself playing in midfield for Liverpool. Although Klopp seems to like him in his new position, it won’t last for long because of his versatility, which appears to be his own downfall.

RW – Mohamed Salah – Mohamed Salah set up Luis Diaz brilliantly against Chelsea, and he will be out for vengeance after failing to score or provide an assist in Liverpool’s 9-0 thrashing of Bournemouth the previous campaign.

ST – Diogo Jota; Although he wasn’t at his best against Chelsea, Diogo Jota has demonstrated enough in preseason for Klopp to continue to trust him over the unpredictable Darwin Nunez.

LW – Luis Diaz will be hoping to score twice against the Cherries after scoring last weekend and handling his goal exceptionally well. a constant threat who will probably serve as the Reds’ left flank’s focal point.
