The success of Fluminense in the Copa Libertadores could have a big impact on whether Liverpool can sign Andre in the current transfer window.
The success of Fluminense in the Copa Libertadores could have a big impact on whether Liverpool can sign Andre in the current transfer window.

Recent reports indicate that the Reds have intensified their efforts to sign Andre and have made an offer of £21.6 million, while negotiations to sign Southampton’s Romeo Lavia are still in limbo.

With Fabinho’s departure for Saudi Arabia, Liverpool is clearly in need of a defensive midfield addition.

Earlier this week, ESPN Brasil reported that Liverpool had made a player approach to Fluminense, but that a decision wasn’t anticipated until after their match against Argentinos Juniors on Tuesday, August 8.

Despite only managing to draw 1-1 in the away leg, Andre and his team are still expected to win the match, which may push Liverpool’s pursuit very close to the very end of the summer transfer window.

The English clubs’ transfer window will close on September 1 after the second leg of the Copa Libertadores quarterfinals is played between August 29 and August 31.

If they advance and insist on keeping Andre at the team for the next round, Liverpool would have a very short window of time to complete a deal this summer.

According to Brazilian journalist Emmanuel Luiz, Andre “wants” to move to Liverpool this summer if Fluminense loses their knockout match, which lends credence to recent reports.

According to Luiz, Andre will move to Liverpool if Fluminense is eliminated from the Copa Libertadores. ”.

The Reds are currently without a defensive midfield specialist and are already in a time crunch as they get ready to play Chelsea at Stamford Bridge next weekend in their Premier League debut.

Since Fluminense has never claimed victory in the match, they are understandably eager to hang onto one of their star players in an effort to advance to the next round.

Due to the discrepancies between the footballing calendars, South American players frequently transfer to the Premier League in January, and this scenario seems to support that trend.

It is unclear if Liverpool believes they can wait for Andre given the uncertainty and their own pressing deadlines, but the Reds must act quickly if they want to begin 2023/24 with a legitimate No. 1. Option number six.

In addition to Romeo Lavia, Liverpool "makes an opening bid" for a second midfielder.
In order to strengthen his midfield this summer, Jurgen Klopp is said to have made an initial offer for Celta Vigo midfielder Gabri Veiga. The Reds are preparing an improved offer for Southampton’s Romeo Lavia after having an initial offer of £34million plus £4m worth of add-ons rejected by the Saints last week.

Lavia continues to be a top priority for Klopp, but he is reportedly also interested in hiring Veiga.

The Spanish publication claim Liverpool intend to strike up a cheaper deal by loaning him back to the La Liga side for the 2023/2024 campaign. PSG and Chelsea are also said to keen on the player and are willing to match his release clause.

However, the possibility of keeping Veiga for another season may be an appealing proposition for Celta Vigo. Club president Carlos Mourino has made it clear he will not let the player go unless his release clause is met.

“We don’t want to sell under any circumstances but they are going to buy [Veiga] from us,” admitted Mourino. “We know some of the offers, we wouldn’t be able to pay him what other teams do.

“Gabri has Celta’s feelings and will always have the doors open but it will depend exclusively on him and what they are offering him is irresistible. He will decide where he wants to go but that club will have to pay the clause.

In addition to Romeo Lavia, Liverpool "makes an opening bid" for a second midfielder.
“Of the top 10 teams in the Premier League, four have asked. For us, it’s not for sale. We refer to the clause. We have nothing to negotiate with anyone. “.

Former Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez was appointed as Celta Vigo’s head coach in June and isn’t planning on doing his old club any favours either. Benitez told Sport last month that he wants Veiga in his side next season.

“We are talking about an important player,” the 63-year-old explained. “Who comes from the academy, and I would be delighted to have him continue with us. ”.

“It would be exciting for everyone, and I will try to improve him as much as possible if he continues with us. I like him a lot, he’s a great player and I’m counting on him.
    ”.
According to Deportes COPE Galicia, Liverpool have placed a £21.5m bid on the table for Veiga, which is way below his £34.4m release clause.

Chelsea have now completed the signing of Santos youngster Angelo Gabriel, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has told GIVEMESPORT exclusively.

The 18-year-old is one of the brightest prospects in world football and a good fit for Chelsea’s strategy under Todd Boehly.
Chelsea Transfer News – Angelo Gabriel

According to Transfermarkt, Angelo was active to some degree for Santos’ first team for around four seasons, making 67 appearances for the club, scoring three goals and providing seven assists.

To have so many games under his belt at such a young age is an impressive achievement and a credit to his talent. In June, The Athletic reported Chelsea had accepted an offer of around £13m for Angelo, who is close to signing a five-year contract with the club before being loaned out to French side Strasbourg.

Speaking to talkSPORT, South American pundit Tim Vickery explained how Angelo has endured a tough season at Santos, but he undoubtedly has tremendous talent.
    He said:

“His career is kind of stalled and it’s up to managing the man at Chelsea with Mauricio Pochettino and whatnot to get him back on track because he’s been classed as an amazing talent for a long time, but we all know that c There’s a huge difference that way between the promise and the reality.”

What did Fabrizio Romano say about Angelo?

Chelsea: $13 million player will have a medical at Stamford Bridge in the "next 24 to 48 hours."
Romano has suggested that a deal is now in place to bring Angelo to Stamford Bridge and that he will travel to England to sign the contract and complete his medical tests.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “Yes, it’s done for Angelo. I think the player will be arriving in England this week from what I’ve heard. In the next 24 to 48 hours he will travel to England to complete the second part of his medical tests.

“The first part had already been done in Brazil and then the contract was signed.”

    What’s going on at Chelsea?
Since Boehly took over at Chelsea, his recruitment strategy has focused primarily on emerging young stars from around the world.

The Blues have signed Diego Moreira, Carney Chukwuemeka, Andrey Santos, Gabriel Slonina, Malo Gusto, Noni Madueke and David Datro Fofana – each player aged 20 or younger. Now that Angelo has been added to the list, it’s clear where Boehly Chelsea want to go.

Of course, one or the other superstar comes through the door, but the club want to build for the long term.

The expectation that Stake, an online casino, would become the title sponsor was widely criticized when the Premier League reached a collective agreement that from the 2025/26 season gambling sponsors would no longer be used.

The opportunity has also met with some frustration due to the work the Chelsea Foundation is doing to raise awareness of the harms of gambling.

Chelsea Supporters Trust noted: “An online casino and betting company as main shirt sponsor is not in line with the commitment to develop Chelsea FC as a ‘world class’ organisation.

Chelsea are considering signing another Brazilian wonderkid after winning the race for Santos star Angelo Gabriel. The Blues made a €15m (£13m) offer and saw the Brazilian accept it, despite his contract including a £38m release clause.

Mauricio Pochettino has already overseen the arrival of six new players but only Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson will have an immediate impact on the first team’s image.

Offers for Kendry Paez, Dujuan Richards, Alex Matos and Diego Moreira are the remaining purchases, with Paez and Richards officially joining the club in 2025 and 2024 respectively.

Matos will be a new addition to the academy while Moreira’s immediate plan is unknown. These four newcomers can add to the long list of young talents that Chelsea are snapping up and one more name is likely to be added to that list.

After failing to have any sort of impact at the club last season, Mount is a player who appears to be finished at Stamford Bridge, and it is anticipated that he will leave the club during this transfer window.

There is a growing perception that Mount, who has one year left on his Stamford Bridge contract, wants to transfer to Old Trafford.

According to The Guardian, United allegedly made an offer to the Blues for Mount, which was promptly rejected because it was insufficient.

Talks have since resumed, but Chelsea has now accepted a bid for the midfielder after United had three bids rejected.

Seventh signing for Chelsea is identified by Mauricio Pochettino as his obvious transfer strategy continues.
He has now arrived in Manchester to complete his move to Old Trafford after accepting an offer that is reportedly worth up to £60 million.

He’s in the last year of his contract, but he’s also a fantastic player, according to Jermaine Pennant, who recently asserted that Man United would be getting a great player.

“If we’re talking about the price tags that have been bandied about—£100 million for Declan Rice and £120 million for Bellingham—I believe Chelsea is right to demand more money for their value.

In my opinion, paying £55 million for Mount would be a steal and a bargain compared to paying £50 million for James Ward-Prowse, who is valued at that amount by Southampton in the Championship.

Attacking-minded players are always valued slightly higher as well, so Chelsea is holding out for the right price, and I believe Manchester United is just trying to be a little bit cheeky to get him for dirt cheap. ”.

According to reports from Brazil, striker Angelo Gabriel will now be part of Chelsea’s squad for the next pre-season.

The signing of Angelo is another sign that the club are sticking to their mantra of signing young players with the intention of making them the first stars of the team of the future.

One of the most exciting signings of the last 12 months has been Andrey Santos, who previously played for Brazil in the senior team.

Some members of the club are said to be happier with his capture than the club-record signing of Enzo Fernandez, which came later. Pochettino takes Angelo for the pre-season

Yesterday it was reported that the midfielder will be part of Pochettino’s plans for the Blues’ pre-season tour of the United States.
It appears he won’t be the only young star on the tour, with Angelo now rumored to be alongside him.

The upcoming pre-season campaign will be one of the most exciting in years as the Blues enter a new era under the Argentine.

Several big names have already left the club and all are eagerly awaiting signings to enable the club to try again to compete next season.

They appear to be doing everything they can to bring in Moises Caicedo from Brighton, and will do their utmost in the coming days to secure the cash-strapped midfielder for fellow midfielder Enzo Fernandez.

Chelsea star Ruben Loftus-Cheek will undergo a medical on Thursday ahead of his upcoming move to AC Milan.
So says Daily Telegraph reporter Mike McGrath.

This morning he reported on Twitter that Ruben Loftus-Cheek will undergo a medical tomorrow before completing the move to San Siro.

“Ruben Loftus-Cheek will undergo a medical at AC Milan tomorrow, pending his transfer from Chelsea,” said McGrath.

Journalist Matt Law reported on Twitter yesterday that Chelsea and Milan have reached a £15m deal for the transfer of Loftus-Cheek. It now seems like a matter of time before the 27-year-old is officially unveiled at the San Siro.

Loftus-Cheek, who has been at Chelsea since the age of eight, is now ready to leave his youth club.

The central midfielder has been on loan at Fulham and Crystal Palace in the past, but his transfer to Italy will be his first trip abroad.

Ally McCoist said this week he still thinks Loftus-Cheek is a “great player”. He thinks the move to AC Milan could be fantastic for him too.

The Englishman played a useful role as a versatile option in Chelsea’s squad last season, but the club are clearly looking to downsize over this period.

Chelsea will finalize a deal to sign Santos teenager Angelo Gabriel this summer. The forward will complete a £15million move to Stamford Bridge and continue a youth recruitment campaign under the club’s stewardship.

Due to his position, age and origins with Brazilian giant Santos, the comparison to Neymar is obvious and the head coach has already made the same statement when it comes to his style of play.

One explanation for his obvious talents is that he became the youngest player ever to appear for Santos in the Copa Libertadores, beating the record held by current Real Madrid star Rodrygo. The 18-year-old and a player for the successful Santos side when he was just 15, he has already made 129 senior appearances.

Only Conor Gallagher and Enzo Fernandez are expected to remain in the midfield squad to get 2022/23 minutes for Chelsea. Carney Chukwuemeka’s role in the future, combined with the expected sales and departures of five key players, makes quite a change.

New Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino could welcome a slew of new players to Stamford Bridge this summer, with former Arsenal target Dusan Vlahovic on the agenda

Chelsea are interested in sending Romelu Lukaku to Juventus in a trade-in for former Arsenal target Dusan Vlahovic.

The Blues are currently in the midst of a dramatic rebuild at Stamford Bridge and a large number of players are on the verge of leaving the club. N’Golo Kante and Kalidou Koulibaly have already signed a transfer to Saudi Arabia.

Forward Lukaku could have joined them in moving to the Gulf state after a loan spell at Inter Milan, but he turned down the chance to move.

Chelsea are still keen to transfer their previous record signing and Juventus could be an option. According to The Telegraph, the Blues would be interested in signing the Serbian striker Vlahovic and in exchange could send Lukaku to Turin. Both forwards had difficult seasons in Italy last season.

The Chelsea loan man scored just 14 goals in all competitions during his return to the San Siro, and the Juventus star equaled that tally. It represents a huge drop in form, with the Italian giants investing £66m 18 months ago to sign Vlahovic from Fiorentina and beat Arsenal for his services.

Former AC Milan and Real Madrid striker Antonio Cassano has criticized Vlahovic for choosing to sign for Juventus. Speaking to Bobo TV, he said: “In my opinion, [Vlahovic’s decision] is blatantly wrong.

“This is a huge step for him, playing with Fiorentina is something else. For him it’s a very important step, but above all a risky one.” It’s not enough for Juve to do what you did at Fiorentina.

“It’s not enough to score 15 goals, 20 goals. At Juve, every game has to be crucial. It’s a dangerous burden for him. He had to take the next step, but not two steps, at Juve you have to score at least 30 goals, goals per season and you have to bring achievements and titles home. “I don’t see him as a Juve player.

He’s a Serb, a special character, I don’t think he fits well in the Juve dressing room, that’s my opinion.”

Vlahovic’s contract at the Allianz Stadium lasts for another three years, while Lukaku’s contract with Chelsea does not expire until the summer of 2026. In light of Cassano’s claim, Vlahovic insists he has made the right decision to join Juventus.

He said: “I only had one club in mind because Juventus is Juventus. There is nothing more to say.” And now I feel honored to have this shirt.

It feels amazing every time I wear it.
“I definitely identify with their DNA. The personality of Juventus coincides with my personality. When you come here you never give up, you fight all the time, you make the sacrifices. It was definitely what I was looking for.

Kai Havertz and Raheem Sterling were the top scorers with just nine goals each in all competitions. Pochettino won’t officially start his role until Saturday, but there’s already movement in the transfer market.

A £50 million player has already discussed joining Chelsea this summer with his representation.
Romeo Lavia has spoken to his reps about a move to Chelsea this summer after Southampton were relegated from the Premier League.
    So says Sacha Tavolieri.
What’s the latest on Romeo Lavia and Chelsea? We see…

    What’s the story?

Well, according to a number of news outlets, Chelsea are very keen on signing the Belgium international. The Guardian believes that Mauricio Pochettino personally requested Lavia’s signature.

Elsewhere – according to Simon Phillips on Substack – Chelsea are happy to spend a whopping £50m to sign Southampton’s number 45 this summer.

Now – as described by Tavolieri – it seems that Lavia is definitely interested in moving to Stamford Bridge as he has already talked to his entourage about joining the Blues.

Eden Hazard is said to have sent the 19-year-old to Chelsea after seeking advice from his compatriot on a move to west London for the World Cup in December 2022.

Therefore, it seems that Lavia is interested in becoming a Chelsea player, although there are some things that Pochettino and Todd Boehly should be wary of. Chelsea face serious competition for Lavia

While Tavolieri’s assertion about Chelsea and Lavia was encouraging, the Belgian journalist also made some comments about Liverpool and Arsenal that should worry people at Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool are said to have a strong association with Southampton having already signed Dejan Lovren, Adam Lallana, Nathaniel Clyne, Rickie Lambert, Sadio Mane and Virgil van Dijk.

This could give the Reds an advantage over Chelsea.
Speaking of Arsenal, Tavolieri adds that the North Londoners have the best relationship with Lavia’s agent which could also give the Gunners an edge over the Blues.

Make sure to keep an eye on this situation as Lavia is expected to switch clubs this summer.
