A £39 million Chelsea player has just been dropped by his country for the upcoming international break.

Axel Disasi of Chelsea has been left off France’s roster for this month’s international games.

The French team for the international break in September included 25-year-old Axel Disasi.

For France’s October matches against the Netherlands and Scotland, the Chelsea center-back has been left out.

On X this afternoon, Les Blues reaffirmed their squad announcement.

Disasi, who has four senior caps for France, should think of it as bad luck that his nation has right now dropped him.
Undoubtedly, the French have a tremendous amount of defensive talent at their disposal.

Disasi has maintained his strong start to his Blues career for Chelsea.

Having played every minute thus far, the center back has quickly emerged as a key member of Mauricio Pochettino’s starting lineup.

He has been a really reliable addition to the Stamford Bridge backline thus far this season because his game isn’t overly flashy and he doesn’t take unwarranted risks.

Disasi is proving to be a fantastic £39 million investment from Chelsea (Sky Sports).

From a purely selfish standpoint, the club may be pleased that one of their key starters won’t run the risk of getting hurt during the international break and will be ready to go for the Premier League games right after.

We believe a recall for France may still be in the center-half’s future if he continues to play this well.

To provide Pochettino with more firepower, Chelsea placed four strikers on a “transfer shortlist.”

According to reports, Chelsea's recruiting team has identified four talented attackers to target in upcoming transfer windows.

The Blues beat Fulham on Monday night to get back on the winning track.

According to reports, Chelsea’s recruiting team has identified four talented attackers to target in upcoming transfer windows
In the beginning of his tenure at Stamford Bridge, Mauricio Pochettino had to deal with injury problems and wastefulness, and he has yet to find a reliable solution up top.

On Monday night, Armando Broja presented his own argument by scoring the second goal in Chelsea’s 2-0 victory over Fulham, capitalizing on his first Chelsea start in nearly a year.
An equally unexpected goal scorer was Mykhaylo Mudryk, who had just scored his first Premier League goal.

Chelsea had scored just five goals in its first six league games of the season, though, prior to the start of the match at Craven Cottage.
Concerns have also been raised about summer signing Nicolas Jackson’s poor performance and injured Christopher Nkunku.

The Blues have reportedly added four strikers to their list of potential transfers in order to complete a significant deal next summer, according to CaughtOffside.

After a difficult few weeks at Napoli, Victor Osimhen is thought to be the best option and may try to force his way out of Serie A.
The social media executive resigned after the Nigerian’s agent threatened to sue the Azzurri over an offensive TikTok video posted by the team.

Osimhen has made no secret of his desire to play in the Premier League.
During the summer, he was heavily linked with Manchester United before they decided to sign Rasmus Hojlund.

Ivan Toney is reportedly also on Chelsea’s hit list.
Only Harry Kane and Erling Haaland scored more goals in the Premier League last season than the Brentford striker, who recently switched agents in an apparent effort to test his abilities at a higher level.

According to reports, Chelsea's recruiting team has identified four talented attackers to target in upcoming transfer windows.

Evan Ferguson, a talented young player from Brighton, is also thought to be a player of interest at Stamford Bridge.
The 18-year-old has scored four goals in a little more than 300 minutes of top-flight action so far this season, and many anticipate that he will continue to improve and have a successful career.

The fourth and final name up for consideration is Santiago Gimenez, it is believed.
The 22-year-old, who was born in Argentina and plays for Mexico on the international stage, has scored freely since moving to Europe last year.

Gimenez has scored 10 goals in the Eredivisie so far this season, averaging over a goal per game.
His outstanding hat-trick in the rivalry game against Ajax last week contributed to this astounding statistic.

Chelsea is now looking to sign a “phenomenal” forward who could cost £175 million.

Chelsea is now looking to sign a "phenomenal" forward who could cost £175 million.

Victor Osimhen, a striker for Napoli, was a target for Chelsea during the summer transfer window.

Chelsea reportedly inquired about Victor Osimhen, but Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis valued him at £175 million at the time, according to the Daily Mirror.

If reports are to be believed, the Blues’ interest still exists despite the Serie A club’s obvious desire to hold onto their star player.

Osimhen has been elevated to No. 1 for Chelsea, according to a report from FootballTransfers last month.
In the race to sign him, they are the No. 1 target for the upcoming summer transfer window.

He had a fantastic season for Napoli last year, scoring 26 goals in 32 games.

    Chelsea’s inquiries

It comes as no surprise to learn that Chelsea questioned Osimhen during the summer.

Osimhen was among the best in the world during the previous campaign, and they needed a new striker after their experiment with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang failed.

However, Nicolas Jackson had to do, and the 22-year-old has struggled under Mauricio Pochettino.

Just his second of the year, it came against Brighton and Hove Albion on Wednesday in the Carabao Cup.

In the end, we believe that Chelsea needed to sign a center-forward with more success and experience, like Osimhen, who has been dubbed “phenomenal” by Italian manager Walter Mazzarri.
But in the end, De Laurentiis demanded too much money from the Nigerian.

There appears to be some tension between the player and the club right now after Napoli released a TikTok video mocking Osimhen, so perhaps Chelsea or another team will try to capitalize on that in the upcoming season.

football.london takes a detailed look at what Chelsea could do when the transfer window opens in January 2024 and what areas of the team the board would like to address

The summer transfer window may have just ended, but people’s curiosity about the next signing never wanes.

Chelsea spent more than £400 million on new signings over the summer – far more than any other Premier League club.

The Blues were tasked with tackling several areas of the team before the window even opened, and with all the departures that followed, replacements had to be found.

This has led to another turbulent and quite extraordinary transfer window under American billionaire Todd Boehly, who – along with Clearlake Capital – has spent over £1 billion on transfer deals since taking over the club from west London last May.

We are now a few months away from another transfer window, but with the international break approaching and there not being too much to talk about in club football, what better way to spend it than waiting until January impatiently? Here, football.london takes a look at what Chelsea may need to tackle as the mid-season window opens…

    A new striker

Nicolas Jackson is expected to take part in the African Cup of Nations in January and represent Senegal at the continental tournament.
This leaves Chelsea very tight when it comes to central striker options.

By then, the club hopes Christopher Nkunku will be fit and available, but he may not be in top form after a long period of inactivity due to a knee injury.

Furthermore, Mauricio Pochettino liked to use Nkunku almost as a ‘second striker’ during the matches he played in pre-season, so we don’t really know what the Chelsea manager has in mind for the man the club signed for 52 million pounds in the summer window.

Armando Broja is expected to be able to return to action after the current international break for the first time since last December, so Chelsea are hoping to make him available in January, with Jackson likely to miss out. But the Blues could recruit another center forward during the mid-season transfer window.

football.london understands that adding another central striker in Jackson was on the agenda at Chelsea this summer but was never a priority.

Several options have been explored out the window, including Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic, but no official action has been taken.

Ivan Toney is someone who has been interested in Chelsea for some time and when his football ban ends in January, a move for the Brentford striker could be on the cards. However, signing someone who has missed more than half the season due to suspension carries a risk in itself.

    More player sales

Chelsea released almost an entire squad of players during the summer transfer window, but there’s still more to come in January.
There are a number of players who came close to leaving over the summer and could still leave mid-season.

Marc Cucurella, for example, at one point seemed ready for a loan to Manchester United.
However, the Red Devils, who were looking for options following injuries to left-back pair Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia, had reservations about the Spaniard and opted for Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon instead.

Cucurella is someone Chelsea would be happy to let go of if the right offer was made for him. The club would prefer a permanent move for the former Brighton full-back, who has failed to impress since his expensive signing last summer, but would compromise with a loan deal.

Without Cucurella, the Blues would be willing to release Ian Maatsen, according to football.london.
This was the case this summer when the club wanted one of them to replace Ben Chilwell, who has struggled with injury problems in recent years.

    More player sales

However, Chelsea are trying to tie Maatsen down to a new contract as his current contract expires at the end of the season.
However, we don’t know if it’s because they’ve done an about-face and changed their mind about Maatsen, or if it’s just because they want to protect the Dutchman’s value.

Trevoh Chalobah was also on the verge of a move just before the transfer deadline last week. The Cobham graduate, who is still recovering from injury, was keen to join Bayern Munich as the German champions wanted to take the defender on loan.

However, Chelsea were seeking a permanent deal with Chalobah but demanded up to £50m for his signature.

The signing of Axel Disasi as Wesley Fofana’s serious injury became known all but confirmed for Chalobah that Pochettino did not view the centre-back as a direct replacement for the team.

The club will also be looking to get rid of Malang Sarr, who has flown somewhat under the radar in recent months.

Sarr, who is clearly not part of Pochettino’s plans at Stamford Bridge, was interested in his services from France this summer, but a move for the 24-year-old defender never materialized.

Axel Disasi: Chelsea acquires the France international defender from Monaco for £38.8 million.

Axel Disasi has agreed to a six-year contract with Chelsea. According to co-sporting directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley of the BluesAxel Disasi has agreed to a six-year contract with Chelsea. According to co-sporting directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley of the Blues, Axel has demonstrated his talent over a number of seasons in France, and this has rightfully earned him recognition on the international stage.

Axel Disasi left Monaco and was acquired by Chelsea for £38.8 million.

The center back from France has committed to Stamford Bridge for six years.

Chelsea’s co-sporting directors, Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley, stated: “Axel has deservedly gained recognition on the international stage after showcasing his quality over several seasons in France.

“We are thrilled that Chelsea will be the next step in his career for him, as he is prepared to do so.

“We extend our warmest welcome to him and look forward to him joining Mauricio Pochettino and the rest of his new teammates soon. “.

Disasi, whose name had been associated with Manchester United and Newcastle during this transfer window, still had two years left on his deal with Monaco.

Before approving a move for Disasi, Monaco desired a replacement; Mohammed Salisu of Southampton became that signing this month.

As a result of Wesley Fofana’s ACL injury, Pochettino had previously stated Chelsea was planning to reenter the center-back market.

The player, Fofana, underwent knee surgery, and Pochettino expressed optimism that the player would make a comeback from injury this season.

At center-back, Pochettino now has a choice between Thiago Silva, Trevoh Chalobah, Levi Colwill, who just renewed a six-year contract with Chelsea, and Disasi.

A hamstring injury sustained at the end of the previous season is still bothering Disasi’s former Monaco teammate, Benoit Badiashile, who is currently on the mend.

Disasi spent four years in Reims before moving to Monaco in 2020. He made three appearances for France at the 2022 World Cup.

The 25-year-old is Chelsea’s sixth summer acquisition, following Nicolas Jackson, Christopher Nkunku, Lesley Ugochukwu, Diego Moreira, and Angelo.

Who will be moving this summer when the transfer window begins on June 14 and closes at midnight in Scotland and 11pm in England on September 1?

The £38 million player, who is now very close to joining Chelsea, has a huge fan in Laurence Stewart.

Axel Disasi: Chelsea acquires the France international defender from Monaco for £38.8 million.
Axel Disasi, a French defender who is currently close to joining Chelsea, is reportedly a huge fan of Laurence Stewart.

That is what Nathan Gissing, writing on Gianluca Di Marzio’s website, claims.

Let’s take a look at the most recent information regarding Axel Disasi and Chelsea.

    Why is this happening?

The France international is reportedly a favorite of Stamford Bridge’s Technical Director Stewart, who started negotiations to bring him in from Monaco back in April.

Disasi has reportedly undergone a medical at Chelsea ahead of a £38 million move to west London, and an official announcement is anticipated soon, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Prior to Todd Boehly hiring him to direct a rebuild at Chelsea, Stewart actually worked for Monaco from 2020 to 2023.

In August 2020, shortly after beginning his employment with the Ligue 1 team, the 37-year-old acquired Disasi from Reims.

Therefore, Stewart undoubtedly has a wealth of knowledge about the 25-year-old, and it is telling that he believes the central defender is now proficient enough to represent Chelsea.

Regardless of whether they support the move or not, fans will always be able to voice their opinions on transfers. However, when a person like Stewart has clearly done extensive research on a player, it can be difficult to be opposed to the transaction.

At Chelsea, Axel Disasi must engage in combat right away.

Given the other central defenders in the Argentine squad, it will be interesting to see if Mauricio Pochettino chooses to start Disasi right away.

Since the South American typically lines up with a standard back four, Chelsea can choose from Levi Colwill, Thiago Silva, Benoit Badiashile, and Trevoh Chalobah to fill two positions in the center of defense.

Wesley Fofana, who is also at Stamford Bridge, might not play in the 2023–24 season due to a torn knee ligament.

In order to earn a spot in Pochettino’s starting XI, Disasi will therefore need to make a very good first impression on the coach.

Ben Jacobs, a journalist, asserted that Chelsea is now prepared to spend up to £40 million to sign Ajax attacker Mohammed Kudus.

He told GiveMeSport that if an offer of that size does come in, it is still uncertain whether the Dutch side will accept it.

It has come to light that Kudus is one of the players the team is thinking about signing to give their attacking options for the upcoming season a little more depth.

The Cameroonian international has established himself as a highly adaptable member of the attack for club and country, and the Blues undoubtedly benefit greatly from his versatility.

Arsenal and other teams are vying for his services, so they are up against competition. However, it’s thought that they would be prepared to make a higher offer in order to close the deal.

In the present, Jacobs asserts that the Blues are actually prepared to spend up to £40 million to complete the task.

Chelsea was ready to spend £40 million on Kudus.

He declared: “He’s the kind of player Chelsea is looking for. He is a 22-year-old attacking midfielder who wants out of Ajax.

The fee, in my opinion, is going to be really fascinating. We’ll have to wait and see if Chelsea’s asking price of, say, £40 million is sufficient. ”.

The winger for Crystal Palace, Michael Olise, is another player they are thinking about using in the attack. His release clause is said to be very attainable, according to numerous reports.

In order to fend off competition from Manchester City and other clubs, the Blues’ relationship with the player’s family may be crucial.

They are still assessing how seriously his most recent injury will impact his season opener.

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Chelsea have finalized a deal to acquire 25-year-old Monaco center-back

    Axel Disasi,
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Chelsea have finalized a deal to acquire 25-year-old Monaco center-back Axel Disasi, who will become the Blues’ sixth permanent addition of the summer.

Although Disasi has recently been associated with several Premier League teams—Manchester United and Newcastle are just two of the clubs that have been linked with him this summer—the Blues didn’t seem to be in the mix until Sunday, when it unexpectedly became clear that a deal was close.

Romano claims that Chelsea is willing to pay Monaco €45 million for a player who has become more well-known over the past season.

“Chelsea have sealed a deal for Axel Disasi,” the football transfer expert declared.
The two clubs are planning to exchange paperwork and documents.
    ”.
A medical formality that Disasi still needs to finish is scheduled to be finished early this week. With the possibility of an additional year, he will agree to a five-year contract with the team.

Romano continued by saying that despite interest from both Newcastle and Manchester United, neither of the two Champions League teams decided to make a bid for the player.

Benoit Badiashile, a central defensive colleague of Disasi, was acquired by Chelsea for €38 million in January, making him the second defender from Monaco that Chelsea has acquired in the past two transfer windows.

Season to remember for Axel Disasi.
Disasi participated in each and every one of Monaco’s 49 competitive games in Ligue 1, the Coupe de France, and European football last season as they finished sixth in France. In these games, he scored six goals and assisted on four others.

He also earned four France caps during this time and played a minute in the World Cup final. He also turned pro during this time.

Didier Deschamps has used him as a right-back while playing with Les Bleus despite the fact that he is typically a center-back.

The Expected Transfer Value (xTV) for Disasi is €20 million, which indicates that Chelsea is overpaying to sign him.

  • After Axel Disasi’s announcement, Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino may spend an additional £159 million.

After Axel Disasi’s announcement, Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino may spend an additional £159 million.

After Axel Disasi's announcement, Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino may spend an additional £159 million.

Given that Mauricio Pochettino is still worried about his team, Chelsea may have a busy end to the summer transfer window.

Even though the addition of Axel Disasi will push Chelsea’s transfer expenditures well past the £100 million mark, Mauricio Pochettino may go broke between now and the end of the summer. At Stamford Bridge, improvements have been called for in the midfield, up front, and between the posts. Co-owner Todd Boehly has plenty of time to take action.

Following this week’s £38 million deal between Chelsea and Monaco, Disasi is on his way to London. The Blues have already spent a sizable sum of money this summer thanks to earlier moves for Nicolas Jackson, Christopher Nkunku, and Angelo.

Pochettino, however, has the ability to significantly increase Chelsea’s spending even after Disasi is revealed by securing three more targets. The most notable of these is Moises Caicedo, who Brighton has tagged with an astounding £100 million price tag.

The Blues have already had an £80 million bid for the Ecuadorian rejected. But according to reports, they have been monitoring the player’s development for months and aren’t ready to give up on him.

An additional difficulty has been added to the already tense negotiations with Brighton. As he seeks to add competition in goal, Pochettino has made Seagulls goalkeeper Robert Sanchez a target.

Kepa Arrizabalaga ended the previous season as the undisputed No. 1. To push the Spaniard next season, however, after Edouard Mendy’s move to the Saudi Pro League, there won’t be anyone to do so if no moves are made during the summer transfer window.

After Axel Disasi's announcement, Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino may spend an additional £159 million.
While Sanchez’s Transfermarkt value of £19m is nothing to laugh at, he is now available at the right price after slipping down Brighton’s pecking order. The 25-year-old’s value between the two clubs is currently said to be very different.

Dusan Vlahovic is a third potential acquisition that could bring the Blues’ post-Disasi spending to a startling £159 million. According to reports, Juventus is eager to swap Romelu Lukaku for the striker.

But in order to approve the deal, the Serie A giants also require Lukaku and at least £40 million. Although it is currently believed that the Blues have rejected the offer, they could change their minds as the window closes.

If Pochettino accepts the three in question, Chelsea would have to make significant roster cuts to satisfy him. With less than a month remaining in the summer transfer window, the Argentine has already lamented the excessive number of players at his disposal.

Possibly the best player in the world, Kylian Mbappe, has entered into shocking negotiations with Chelsea owner Todd Boehly.

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Chelsea have finalized a deal to acquire 25-year-old Monaco center-back Axel Disasi, who will become the Blues' sixth permanent addition of the summer.
According to Duncan Castles of the Daily Record, Chelsea and PSG have begun contract negotiations so that Mbappe can join them.

Boehly and Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the president of PSG, have had direct discussions regarding the agreement.

According to Castles, Chelsea is reportedly offering PSG a cash plus player deal; however, it is unclear which players would be exchanged.

Given that Mbappe only last week refused to talk about terms with Al Hilal, it is unclear whether the French player has any interest in joining Chelsea.

Although PSG accepted a €300 million bid from the Saudi Arabian side, it is widely believed that Mbappe is holding out to sign with Real Madrid. Mbappe actually prefers to move to Madrid for nothing when his contract expires at the end of the upcoming season.

    Mbappe wants to leave PSG.
In an effort to prevent losing Mbappe to a free transfer the following season, PSG has placed Mbappe on transfer list and is determined to sell the French superstar this summer.

Mbappe has been banished from PSG after they refused to let him join them on their summer tour of Japan and forced him to train alongside players who are on the transfer market.

The 24-year-old attacker has been informed by PSG that if he doesn’t sign a contract extension, he will be sold this summer and might not play again for the team.

Mbappe is up for grabs this summer from a number of major clubs, not just Real Madrid and Chelsea.

Arsenal is reportedly keeping a close eye on Mbappe and may use Gabriel Martinelli as a makeweight to sign the Frenchman in 2024, according to a recent report from FootballTransfers.

Even though moves to Manchester United, Tottenham, or even Liverpool themselves have been mentioned, it seems unlikely that they will happen.

In the upcoming weeks, a formal offer for Mbappe from Real Madrid is anticipated, according to The Daily Record.
