Given the decision over a potential transfer, Kylian Mbappe “would want” to join Liverpool.

For several years, Liverpool has been connected to a move for Kylian Mbappe.

Glen Johnson, a former Liverpool defender, says he “definitely sees” why Kylian Mbappe would be interested in joining Jurgen Klopp’s team this summer.

With his contract set to expire in the summer, Mbappe’s future at Paris Saint-Germain is still up in the air. The 25-year-old is still free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with overseas clubs.

While the Frenchman considers his options, Real Madrid and Liverpool have been identified as his two most likely destinations. However, there is still a chance that Mbappe will decide to stay with his current team beyond the current season.

The 2018 World Cup champion has long been admired by the Reds, who have tracked him since he was at Monaco in 2017. Johnson thinks Mbappe would seize the chance to come to Anfield if the opportunity presented itself.

The 39-year-old said, “I can definitely see why Kylian would want to join Liverpool.” “But will they spend a fortune on him? It kind of violates their policy regarding transfers. Is he really worth spending a fortune on? Indeed, but it all relies on Liverpool’s level of readiness.

“Everything they do is so calculated and structured but, to get this one over the line, you’ve got to forget about what the stats and the calculator says,” Johnson stated to Betfred. “You’re going to require substantial funds. I completely understand the player’s desire for the transfer, and if Liverpool decides to go forward, I’m sure that all of the nation’s supporters will be eager to see him play in the Premier League.

“The deal will be enormous even if it’s on a free transfer, because Mbappe’s agents would undoubtedly want half of the possible £150 million transfer fee for themselves and the player if Liverpool are trying to save money. Either way, the cost will be high.”

When asked in July about a potential trade for Mbappe, Jurgen Klopp responded to reporters by saying, “We laugh about it.” Although I believe him to be a pretty strong player, the financial situation is completely unsuitable for us. As far as I know, there is nothing to the story—I wouldn’t want to give anything away right now.

Jurgen Klopp signs his first January deal, confirming Liverpool transfer

After being recalled from RB Leipzig earlier this month, midfielder Fabio Carvalho has joined HullCity on loan, according to confirmation

After being recalled from RB Leipzig earlier this month, midfielder Fabio Carvalho has joined HullCity on loan, according to confirmation from Liverpool.

The completion of Fabio Carvalho’s loan move to Hull City has been announced by Liverpool.

For the duration of the season, the 21-year-old midfielder is a temporary member of the Tigers’ team. After making three starts in 15 games during his time at RB Leipzig, Carvalho was recently called back by the Reds as they searched for a team where he could play regularly.

Carvalho has played in the Championship before; during the 2021–2022 season, he scored 18 goals in 36 league appearances for Fulham, which persuaded the team to sign the youthful midfield player. Tyler Morton, another Liverpool loanee, will join him at Hull.

The offensive midfielder, who was a member of Liverpool’s first team squad and made 22 appearances in his rookie season before slipping down the roster, will be trying to make an impression on Jurgen Klopp from a distance. The Tigers are now one spot off of the play-off spots from Hull’s viewpoint, therefore manager Liam Rosenior will be hoping Carvalho can aid in the team’s bid for promotion.

Rosenior stated on Hull City’s official website, “Fábio is excited to be coming here and I’m delighted to be working with him until the end of the season.” Technically, he is excellent. He can run in behind, score, and assist. He is bold, agile, well-balanced, and adept at taking the ball.

“Liverpool has seen the work we’ve done with Tyler Morton, so they can see how much potential he has. I can’t thank them enough for their trust.” Fábio has the capacity to significantly influence our season and lead us to our desired outcome.

‘Break the bank’ - Liverpool advice to sign £52 million Newcastle United ‘target’
Liverpool are linked with a summer transfer of Federico Chiesa from Juventus.

Glen Johnson believes Liverpool should opt for Federico Chiesa.
The Reds have signed two players so far in the summer transfer window, spending £95million on Alex Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlali – from Brighton and RB Leipzig respectively.

But Jurgen Klopp could expand his midfield further – especially if Thiago Alcantara actually leaves.

Southampton’s Romeo Lavia is heavily associated. However, Juventus striker Chiesa is also said to be on Liverpool’s radar. The 25-year-old helped Italy win the Euro 2020 title while registering four goals and six assists in 33 appearances for Juve last season.

Newcastle United are said to be among the clubs interested in Chiesa and a £52million price tag has been mooted.

And while the Reds are well-equipped in attacking terms, Johnson – who spent six years at Anfield between 2009 and 2015 – thinks it would be wise for Liverpool to move if Chiesa were available at the right price.

Speaking to Betfred, the former right-back said: “He’s a good player who plays for a big club and has had success at international level.

Not only is he part of the squad but he delivers when he is needed and I think it could be a very sensible deal for Liverpool if they can sign him, if they don’t have to break the bank for him.

“I think he is a player who would improve the Liverpool squad and if they can sign him for a reasonable fee then that is a move I would really like to see happen.”

Liverpool is ready to offer £77million and is confident they’ll secure signing – Report

Liverpool is ready to offer £77million and is confident they’ll secure signing – Report
Liverpool have been chasing Uruguayan international and Real Madrid star Federico Valverde for some time, and this time they believe the signing can be completed.

According to a Spanish source, Nacional, the South American midfielder was tempted to leave the Bernabeu when the Reds moved in with an offer last summer.

A fee of €80m was offered by the Merseysiders, but chairman Florentino Perez chose to decline it.
Now Liverpool have prepared an offer worth 90 million euros (£77 million) and they are confident of finally signing Valverde.

According to the Catalan outlet, the Anfield club believe Los Blancos will accept the £77m offer and if it is rejected again, they are willing to pay even more.

Valverde only earns a salary of €4m per season and certainly deserves a raise after helping Real Madrid win every title.

However, the Spanish giants spent a lot of money to lure Bellingham and now have a crowded midfield department.

Moreover, they are even after Kylian Mbappé and need to raise funds to poach the French international from Paris Saint-Germain. So there are doubts over Valverde’s future.

Liverpool have already spent around £95million bringing in the likes of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai to bolster their midfield department.

Do you think Klopp will have to spend a large sum to sign the versatile Real Madrid superstar?

Two of Saudi Arabia’s biggest clubs in talk with Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah over transfer
Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah is attracting interest from Saudi Arabia as two of the country’s biggest clubs have been in contact with the Egyptian international about a potential move.

The 31-year-old is a hugely popular figure in the Arab world and it would be great for Saudi Arabia to lure the winger into their league this summer amongst the big names they have already signed.

According to Rudy Galetti, both Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal are looking to sign Salah and have already made contact about a transfer.

The journalist told GIVEMESPORT about Saudi Arabia’s interest in the Liverpool star: “He has definitely attracted the attention of Saudi clubs.

Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal are currently the clubs that have shown the most interest in Mohammed Salah . Contacts are ongoing and both clubs are trying to determine if there is room for negotiations.”

Salah has another contract at Anfield until 2025 and the winger is expected to follow. The 31-year-old is still one of Jurgen Klopp’s key players and will want to be part of the rebuild which starts next season.

The Egypt international could one day play in Saudi Arabia but it’s difficult for Salah to make the move anytime soon as there is still a long way to go at Liverpool.

Roberto Firmino joins Saudi club Al Ahli, After leaving Liverpool

Liverpool is ready to offer £77million and is confident they’ll secure signing – Report
After his contract with Liverpool expired at the end of the previous season, it was revealed on Tuesday that Roberto Firmino had signed on with Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli as a free agent.

The 31-year-old forward has signed a three-year contract with the Saudi team, joining former Chelsea goalie Edouard Mendy at the Jeddah-based club.

During his eight years at Anfield, the Brazilian forward scored 110 goals in 361 games.

With Liverpool, Firmino won seven trophies, including the Champions League in 2019 and the team’s first-ever Premier League championship in 2020.

Karim Benzema left Real Madrid for Al Ittihad earlier this month, and clubs in Saudi Arabia have recently pursued an aggressive recruitment strategy that has convinced some of the sport’s biggest names to sign lucrative contracts with teams in the nation. Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in January.

A promotion back to the Saudi Pro League for the 2023–24 season was made possible for Al Ahli by winning the Saudi First Division League championship the previous year.

Call from Fernando Torres to Liverpool secure $17.5 million transfer
A phone call from Fernando Torres helped convince ex-Liverpool defender Glen Johnson to join the club in 2011 instead of Chelsea and Manchester City.

Johnson moved to Anfield in 2009 after a three-year spell at Portsmouth where he won an FA Cup and played European football.

After an excellent spell at Fratton Park following his departure from Chelsea, the defender has established himself in the English squad and as one of the best full-backs in the Premier League.

His move to Liverpool saw him win the League Cup in 2012, and he was a regular in the team that finished runners-up in the Premier League under Brendan Rodgers in 2013/14.

He made exactly 200 appearances in all competitions as a Reds player before being released in 2015, before spending the last three seasons of his career at Stoke. Johnson has since openly explained what led to his move to Liverpool, while rejecting bids from Manchester City and Chelsea, who wanted to re-sign him.

Fernando Torres phonecall helped Liverpool secure £17.5m transfer

One of the Reds’ key players at the time was Fernando Torres, the Spaniard signed from Atlético Madrid in 2007.
In his first two seasons with the club, he scored 38 Premier League goals. At this point, there were still 18 months to go before his ill-fated £50million move to Chelsea.

And Johnson explained in a 2021 interview how the Liverpool striker, along with star teammates Steven Gerrard and Xabi Alonso, played a key role in his decision to move to Anfield despite Liverpool’s inability to continuously compete for the Premier League to fight for titles in the seasons before his arrival.

He told the Liverpool Echo: “Obviously when a club like Liverpool comes knocking you immediately have an eye and an interest.”

“But what a momentum it was, we played for England that summer just before I signed and I had a good chat with Stevie. And then I also spoke to Torres and Alonso before signing.

“I just thought they were some of the best players in the world. They don’t have to call me, but they called me to tell me how much they wanted me to participate.”
“I immediately felt like I knew her and felt super welcomed before I signed and everything went smoothly.”

Sandro Tonali. Via ECHO, Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has touted the Portuguese midfielder as an option for the Serie A club.

This news, combined with the affordable price tag, represents an interesting opportunity for Liverpool to consider. At just 23, Luis has already shown tremendous potential in his career.

Known for his defensive skills, he possesses excellent tackling, interception and positional awareness skills.
With the need to add depth and quality to the team, the acquisition of Florentino could respond to these needs.

AC Milan are interested in a €30 million Liverpool target to replace Sandro Tonali.
His skills match Liverpool’s style of play, emphasizing pressure, intensity and quick transitions.

Luis’ defensive prowess would complement the team’s energetic approach and provide a platform for offensive talents to flourish.

Given Liverpool’s success in integrating players into Jurgen Klopp’s system, the Portuguese midfielder could find success alongside the club’s existing midfielders.

Competition from AC Milan and potential interest from other clubs could complicate matters. Still, the affordability of Florentino Luis’ price is an interesting assessment for Liverpool.

The Portuguese midfielder’s defensive strength and versatile abilities make him an attractive target for the Reds.

As the transfer window progresses, it remains to be seen whether Liverpool will reignite their interest and sign Florentino Luis.
