Transfer news LIVE: Liverpool face £215m offer for Mo Salah, contract talks with Mbappé, Lingard set for Premier League return
LIVERPOOL have been awarded a whopping £215million for winger Mohammed Salah, SunSport can EXCLUSIVELY reveal.

Al-Ittihad made the tempting offer just hours after the Reds turned down £150m, and the Saudi Pro League window is still open until Thursday.

Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappé will reportedly not sign a new contract with PSG.

Elsewhere, Premier League clubs Wolves and West Ham are keen to sign free agent Jesse Lingard.

Liverpool tried to negotiate an exchange with Nunez

Reports say Liverpool are willing to include Darwin Nunez in a swap for Joao Felix.
The Reds were one of the clubs associated with Felix before he left Atletico Madrid for Barcelona on loan this summer.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Liverpool would even be willing to offer Nunez to Atletico Madrid to sign the Portuguese attacking midfielder.

However, Felix instead turned down a return to England and also turned down offers from Manchester United and Aston Villa to stay in Spain.

Chelsea want a new contract for the youngster

Chelsea reportedly want full-back Ian Maatsen to sign a new long-term deal.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Blues want to clarify the future of the 21-year-old.
Maatsen’s contract expires next summer and Chelsea will try to sell him if a new contract cannot be found.

Burnley had accepted a £31.5m offer on deadline day before the player rejected the move.

    Jesper Lindstrom

The Danish star turned down Liverpool

Jesper Lindstrom has revealed he turned down a £25million move to Liverpool this summer.

The Danish full-back instead chose to join Napoli from Frankfurt, hoping to gain more ground.

“After all, there were Liverpool, but would I have time to play?” Lindstrom told Tipsbladet.
Would it be smart to go to Liverpool?

“I’m a Liverpool fan, it’s everywhere, so it can also be an incredibly beautiful experience.

‘But if I don’t play, I might as well watch them on TV for another club.
Now I’m at an age where I have to play a little football.’

    Palhinha ‘admired’ by United

Manchester United could make a move for Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha in January.
According to The Athletic, the Portuguese international has admirers at Old Trafford.

Palhinha was reportedly close to joining Bayern Munich at the deadline before the failed transfer.

The German giants remain interested in a move but could now face competition from the Red Devils.

    Jesse Lingard

West Ham’s Lingard move HIJACKED by Premier League rivals

It has been claimed that the Hammer’s plans to re-sign Jesse Lingard could be dashed by a Premier League rival.

Lingard has been training with the East Londoners for the past few weeks to keep fit while trying to find a new club.

It has been claimed that Hammers boss David Moyes is considering adding the free agent to his roster to further bolster his attacking abilities for the long season ahead.

However, the Scot would face competition for his services.

That’s according to data from Sky Sports, who claim Wolves are also spying on the former Manchester United man.

It is claimed that last season’s relegation struggler could be aiming for a move for the England international in ‘the next few days’.

    Sancho
Chelsea had Sancho in their sights

Chelsea were interested in signing Manchester United star Jadon Sancho last summer.
That was before Sancho on Sunday dismissed United manager Erik ten Hag’s claims about his recent training performances on social media.

According to the Daily Mail, the winger faced a surprise move to the Blues at the start of the recent summer transfer window.

However, the report claims the west Londoners pulled the plug because they were “concerned about his attitude” and opted for Manchester City’s Cole Palmer instead.

It was rumored that the England international would leave this summer but only a few countries, like Saudi Arabia and Turkey, have left transfer windows open.

    Contract negotiations with Kylian Mbappé

Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe will not sign a new contract with the club.
It looked like Mbappé would spend this season on the sidelines after refusing to renew his contract in the summer and PSG manager Luis Enrique kicking him out of pre-season.

However, the striker has been reinstated in the squad after softening his stance on the ongoing saga.

According to L’Equipe, the France international’s return follows an agreement to waive an £85.5m loyalty bonus due to him this summer, rather than a renewal commitment.

The 24-year-old was heavily linked with Real Madrid during his time at Parc des Princes and is expected to sign for them on a free transfer next year.

    Sale of the century

Liverpool have been offered a whopping £215m for Mohamed Salah, according to SunSport’s Steve Brenner.
Al-Ittihad officials traveled to London on Monday in a last-ditch effort to land Salah before their transfer window closes on Thursday.

The Saudi giants are desperate for the striker and have followed up a whopping £170m offer with a deal that will reach £215m with hammer prices.

SunSport understands the Egypt international has been offered a staggering £2.45m-a-week to leave Anfield with added incentives.

The 31-year-old has been tempted by a high percentage of shirt sales, a £55,000 prize money and ambassadorial roles for at least three major Saudi companies over the course of his contract.

It could be worth an extra £18m if each company is willing to pay the former Roma star £6m each.

The summer transfer window ended last week in the main European football countries. But that doesn't mean clubs can't continue to sign players on free transfers.
The summer transfer window ended last week in the main European football countries.

But that doesn’t mean clubs can’t continue to sign players on free transfers.

Free and out-of-contract players can sign at any time during the season, both inside and outside the transfer window.

One club in particular could be watching the free agent market closely after a miserable start to the season.

Chelsea had another terrific summer, breaking their own world record for cash withdrawals in a window.
The Blues have spent the colossal sum of 464.1 million euros on new players.

Chelsea signed 13 players in total, 11 of them for a fee; Alex Matos and Diego Moreira have signed a free transfer.

    Chelsea signings this summer

    Player From Fee
    Moises Caicedo Brighton £115m
    Romeo Lavia Southampton £53m
    Christopher Nkunku RB Leipzig £50m
    Cole Palmer Manchester City £40m
    Axel Disasi Monaco £38.8m
    Nicolas Jackson Villarreal £30m
    Robert Sanchez Brighton £25m
    Lesley Ugochukwu Rennes £23.5m
Djordje Petrovic New England Revolution £14m
    Deivid Washington Santos £13.7m
    Angelo Gabriel Santos £13m
    Diego Moreira Benfica Free Transfer

Chelsea’s biggest signing was of course Moises Caicedo from Brighton for a record UK transfer fee, but the likes of Romeo Lavia, Christopher Nkunku, Cole Palmer and Axel Disasi were also big deals.

Unfortunately, these considerable efforts did not lead to a positive start to the season.

Chelsea have won just one of their first four games of the season, losing 1-0 at home to Nottingham Forest at the weekend.
Could Chelsea already be lured back into the free transfer market?

There are a handful of interesting players available on a free transfer.

David de Gea is talked about especially after the expiry of his contract with Man Utd.
Now that Robert Sánchez can’t convince everyone in goal, can Chelsea count on De Gea to strengthen their position as goalkeeper?

The summer transfer window ended last week in the main European football countries. But that doesn't mean clubs can't continue to sign players on free transfers.
Chelsea have long struggled with a lack of goals and could therefore be looking for strikers.
Alfredo Morelos was available after scoring 124 goals in six years at Rangers but has now joined Santos on Monday.

Santi Mina, who enjoyed a successful La Liga career with Celta Vigo and Valencia, is a free agent.
Mina is only 28 years old.

Andre Ayew is an experienced option.
He was released by Nottingham Forest in the summer and scored over 150 club goals and was capped 114 times by Ghana.
Jesse Lingard is known for scoring a lot of goals.
The former Man Utd attacking midfielder is also available for free.

Are you looking for inspiration to create opportunities?
So why not bring Eden Hazard back? The Belgian is one of Chelsea’s all-time greats and is still only 32 years old.

Will Chelsea be able to revive his failed career?

These players may seem like an unlikely addition to Chelsea, but when it comes to Todd Boehly, nothing can be ruled out!

The shocking loss to Nottingham Forest by Chelsea is explained by Ben Chilwell.

After Saturday's Premier League loss at Stamford Bridge to Nottingham Forest, Ben Chilwell bemoaned Chelsea's lack of "ruthlessness"
After Saturday’s Premier League loss at Stamford Bridge to Nottingham Forest, Ben Chilwell bemoaned Chelsea’s lack of “ruthlessness” in front of goal.

Chelsea has had a difficult start to the 2023–24 Premier League season despite spending more than £1 billion on new players.

They have only won once, against Luton Town, and have shockingly lost to both West Ham United and, most recently, Nottingham Forest.

With players like Nicolas Jackson missing numerous opportunities to salvage something for Chelsea, only one goal from Anthony Elanga was necessary to put the two teams apart.

Vice-captain Chilwell identified this lack of finesse in the final third as the primary cause of the Blues’ recent problems in an interview with the club’s official website following the defeat.

Everyone in the locker room is currently very disappointed by the very frustrating outcome. If you look at the stats, we had the most possession and played well overall, but the most crucial stat is the number of goals we scored.

That is the black and white of it, and we need to get better,” he said.
“We lost in that department and we lost the game.

Football mistakes are inevitable; the key is how you bounce back and attempt to reenter contests.

“We lost control of the game after we conceded, which was not what we wanted.
Our erratic play suited them better.
We need to get better at carrying on with our game after conceding.

“This is still a very young team, and there are many new players trying to settle in at a new club.
You have to understand their playing styles, but this is still a game we ought to be winning.
    No justifications.
With any luck, as the confidence grows, we’ll turn this around.

“The right direction is where we are headed.
In the vast majority of the games we’ve played, we’ve maintained possession.

To get back into games, we need to convert chances, be more ruthless, and maintain our composure.
Our chances are concluded with that last part. “.

After the September international break, Chelsea and Chilwell will take on Bournemouth in an attempt to get their winning streak back on track.
