Goncalo Inacio was often linked to Liverpool in the winter transfer window.

Portuguese sources claim that the Reds were even preparing to extend a signing offer to him.

The latest rumours in the media state that Liverpool will sign the defender in the summer.

Liverpool and Inacio are getting closer.
The Reds have been keeping an eye on the Sporting CP central defender and now have the chance to sign him at last, according to Sports Zone (via Sport Witness).

The Lions have made Inacio an offer to join the Merseysiders, with a release clause in his contract worth 60 million euros (£51.3 million).

The 22-year-old, who is among the best centre backs in the Primeira Liga, has been fantastic for Sporting, who are now top of the rankings in their division.

The Portuguese coach, who has had considerable success with Inacio, is a serious candidate to replace Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool under manager Ruben Amorim.

One of the favourites to take over at Liverpool is Sporting manager Xabi Alonso, following his choice to remain at Bayer Leverkusen.

The young Portuguese manager is reportedly one of the managers that the Reds are attentively watching, along with Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi.

Arsenal was among the teams interested in the defender, but Erik ten Hag wants to sign him with Manchester United in the summer.

Liverpool is probably going to win the defender’s competition.

Numerous teams, including Real Madrid, are reportedly interested in signing the centre back. Liverpool appears to be leading the chase for the €60 million-rated Portuguese international, and they are giving the Sporting CP midfielder their full attention.

It’s safe to assume that Anfield will be the team vying for Amorim’s services if he chooses to sign with the Reds.

With his six appearances for the senior national team thus far, the youthful player has helped them to five consecutive clean sheets.

He might replace Joel Matip, who is expected to depart the squad at the end of the current campaign.

Yet, there will be no shortage of suitors for the 25-year-old right-sided striker, according to Edin Terzic’s team.

The team examined historical information from the archives in order to compare Sancho’s initial Dortmund stats. Then, his workout regimen will be modified,” Christian Falk said in his special Fact Files column.

Sebastian Kehl, the sports director, is overjoyed with Sancho. He wants to speak with Manchester United in May because of this. Another loan is the objective.

“However, a backup plan exists as well: Donyell Malen is presently performing at his highest level since joining Dortmund. There is interest in him from Manchester United. Dortmund would discard him. A trade exchange would be possible.

“Good news for Dortmund: The Dutchman is also attracting interest from Arsenal FC and Liverpool FC.”

Malen has been having an incredible season in the German top division, contributing eight goals in his last seven league appearances.

Is Sancho going back to Manchester United?

Until Sancho issues a very public apology to Erik ten Hag, it appears quite doubtful that he will be able to resume his career at Old Trafford at this point.

However, considering how a return to Germany has rekindled a waning career, the 23-year-old might be happy enough to stay put.

Recent updates on Liverpool, as Barcelona may enter the competition to sign Rúben Amorim. It is rumoured that Sporting CP is considering hiring a Bayern Munich coach to replace him.

With their victory over Brighton, the Reds sit atop the table. The most recent Liverpool news is compiled here following Manchester City’s 0-0 draw with Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium.

Sporting CP names a replacement for Rúben Amorim as the team gets ready for Liverpool’s approach.

As the front-runner to replace Jürgen Klopp at the end of the season, Rúben Amorim, Sporting CP is expecting an offer this summer. The Times claims that the team is already considering Anthony Barry, the coach of Bayern Munich and a native of Liverpool, to replace Amorim.

Amorim is said to be available for the $10 million (£8 million/€9 million) release clause cost, giving the Reds a solid backup plan in the wake of Xabi Alonso’s decision to stay at Bayer Leverkusen, which abruptly changed Liverpool’s plans for their next manager. He seems like a good fit for the position, and since Sporting is already exploring other options, he may be moving soon. That would seem to be a sign that Liverpool may be getting stronger soon.

According to Liverpool.com; When Xabi Alonso was connected to Bayer Leverkusen, there were obvious concerns about whether he would leave the team. However, it appears that Sporting CP is essentially set to lose Amorim this summer. Some of the Liverpool team’s players suit his style better. under particular, Mohamed Salah and Luis Díáz have the potential to excel under his system.

After winning the double, Rúben Amorim wants to leave Sporting and is also being watched by Barcelona.

Before departing Sporting CP this summer, manager Rúben Amorim wants to win the double. Additionally, according to Correio da Manhã (translated by Sport Witness), Barcelona is keeping an eye on him.

According to reports, he intends to make his ultimate choice at the end of the season, concentrating on extending his excellent run thus far. With a game remaining, Sporting leads the league table by a single point. They have also advanced to the Taça de Portugal final after defeating Benfica in two legs.

According to Liverpool.com, although Barcelona may still be interested in signing him, the Reds appear to be leading the pack in the race for his signature. According to Liverpool.com, although Barcelona may still be interested in signing him, the Reds appear to be leading the pack in the race for his signature. The La Liga team, who is getting ready to part ways with Xavi Hernández at the conclusion of the season, doesn’t appear to be making any progress, but it would be annoying if they did end up sabotaging a move for Amorim.

That’s usually important for Barcelona managers, but I’m not convinced his straight and vertical approach fits the style they play at the youth level in La Masia. For the 39-year-old, relocating to Anfield makes far more sense. It might give Liverpool a double advantage in its managerial pursuit when you consider that he would be willing to leave and that Sporting is already looking for a replacement.

Dominik Szoboszlai is praised as Jürgen Klopp mentions the "unbelievable" moment that led to Liverpool's victory.

Liverpool won 2-1 on Easter Sunday, barely defeating Brighton. Following the match, Jürgen Klopp made the following comments, congratulating a player for the game-winning goal.

On Easter Sunday, Liverpool defeated Brighton 2-1 at Anfield. Jürgen Klopp was happy with his team’s response after they overcame a deficit to win all three points.

After trailing early to a strong finish from Danny Welbeck, the Reds needed goals from Mohamed Salah and Luis Díaz to secure a victory that moved them to the top of the Premier League standings. Liverpool can only lose to Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium against Manchester City in order to move Arsenal to the top of the standings.

After the game, Klopp was happy with his team’s defensive effort. He also mentioned a scene from his post-match interview that he called “unbelievable.”

Speaking to BBC Match of the Day following Liverpool’s victory, he stated: “I would have wanted to not be down 1-0. The best we could have done against De Zerbi’s Brighton was to go up four or five goals, but that’s not how it worked out.

“We played really well, and while defence is always tough, we’ve never come near to Brighton in the past, but this time we were composed. Let’s go on to the first of the previous ten.

Dominik Szoboszlai is praised as Jürgen Klopp mentions the "unbelievable" moment that led to Liverpool's victory.

“That ball [made by Dominik Szoboszlai] is amazing. Seeing that, it’s the originality and the calibre. He sees Macca and is amazed by his first touch before spotting Mo. It was fortunate that we had this brilliant football play to end the game because of how wasteful we were at all the other times.”

Roberto De Zerbi, one of Liverpool’s next possible management prospects, was praised by Klopp for his team’s “incredible quality” as well. “Brighton have incredible quality,” he stated. I truly respect them, so that’s how I gauge how well we performed today.

“They had opportunities, they suddenly took more chances, and we started to feel a little worn out. We had a right to win the match. You want that, and it’s also extremely cool on top of that.”

According to Liverpool.com, there were three significant points in the title chase and a solid performance. Looking at the next five games between the championship contenders, Liverpool has a definite chance. The Reds play Sheffield United in the middle of the week before what could be the season’s most important matchup—against Manchester United.

The fact that the management gave Szoboszlai credit for his performance today is also a plus, as some of the abuse he received on social media was unjustified. With the exception of some poor finishing, which Salah will be trying to improve over the coming week after he scored his lone goal from a record-breaking 12 shots—not the kind of record the Egyptian king is looking to break—the Reds’ performance against the usually formidable Brighton team was title-winning!

  • 4 things observed during Liverpool vs Brighton match up as Jürgen Klopp sums up supporters’ fume at David Coote

4 things observed during Liverpool vs Brighton match up as Jürgen Klopp sums up supporters’ fume at David Coote

    David Coote

Liverpool’s 2-1 victory over Brighton at Anfield put them back atop the standings ahead of Manchester City’s match against Arsenal. What we observed was this.

ANFIELD, LIVERPOOL // Liverpool defeated Brighton 2-1, but not before making a strong comeback to take the lead in the Premier League.

The Reds’ start could not have been worse as they fell behind after ninety seconds. Virgil van Dijk was unable to clear his lines, and Danny Welbeck scored a beautiful goal from the edge of the box, pouncing on the ball.

Mohamed Salah had numerous opportunities to square the score, but it was obvious that he had not adjusted his radar after the international break since he missed a few shots. Luckily, Luis Díaz was wearing his shooting boots and he made the ideal touch to defeat Bart Verbruggen while Brighton futilely attempted to claim offside.

After the break, Liverpool took charge of the game, but Salah’s goal ultimately came despite much of Brighton’s defence blocking its way. It was expected that Alexis Mac Allister’s deft pass into the Egyptian’s feet would play a pivotal part in the goal.

Late in the game, Brighton gave some nervous moments, with former Red Adam Lallana coming dangerously near to nicking an equaliser. However, Liverpool held on to an essential three points, which propelled it back to the top of the Premier League ahead of Manchester City’s match against Arsenal. These are the four observations Liverpool.com made during the course of the match.

    Klopp is in shock.

Early on, David Coote failed to fully win over the Anfield supporters. The home fans became enraged when Darwin Núñez was not given a penalty after Pervis Estupiñán pulled back, and they became much more enraged when Alexis Mac Allister was booked immediately after.

It would be an understatement to suggest that the Argentine was treated harshly. After a lengthy pause, Coote appeared to agree with Simon Adingra’s assessment, even though he had hardly touched the Brighton player when he broke free.

The Anfield fans let out yells of ‘cheat’ at the subsequent free-kick. Jürgen Klopp shook his head in surprise, his response a little more measured but no less critical. The noise of jeers at halftime made it quite clear what the Liverpool supporters thought of the referee’s performance.

“The finest player on the pitch”

    David Coote

Since the beginning of the year, Alexis Mac Allister has been nothing short of extraordinary, and it was truly a pleasure to witness him here once more. He had amazing head awareness and could pick the ideal pass every time. It’s unfortunate that Mohamed Salah was unable to take advantage of the opportunities the World Cup winner gave him.

Why Jamie Carragher called him ‘the best player on the pitch’ is understandable. Not bad for only $44 million (£35 million/€41 million).

    Salah’s comfort

    David Coote

Mohamed Salah appeared more relieved than anything else when his goal finally came in the second half after missing so many excellent opportunities in the first half.

Naturally, Mac Allister would contribute, finding the Egyptian with a beautifully weighted through pass and setting him up for the easiest of finishes to ultimately put Liverpool ahead. The Kop’s celebrations were subdued, although he did break into a dazzling smile upon seeing Mac Allister, feeling happy that he had finally finished one of the opportunities the Argentine had produced.

    Coote’s peculiar tardiness

    David Coote

For an extremely perplexing reason, the referee decided to postpone a Liverpool corner, which only served to fuel the animosity towards Coote among the Anfield faithful. Before he took matters into his own hands, it was difficult to pinpoint the precise nature of the issue.

The problem? A few loose balls behind Brighton’s goal. It’s a little unclear why they were sufficient to keep the game going, but Carragher, who was obviously perplexed, said it best when he asked, “What’s that about?”

News from Liverpool: Jurgen Klopp comments after Xabi Alonso leaves the team and considers his options

When the Premier League resumes after the international break, Liverpool will visit Brighton on Sunday. Jurgen Klopp’s team will have a great chance to put further pressure on their championship rivals.

This weekend, following the international break, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will host Brighton at Anfield in their return to play.

Furthermore, Liverpool has a great chance to increase the pressure on title contenders Arsenal and Manchester City. Liverpool will finish the weekend atop the standings if Arsenal loses and they win.

In addition, a lot has happened off the pitch as Liverpool looks to replace Klopp, who stated he would be leaving his position as manager at the end of the current campaign. In light of everything mentioned above, here is the most recent Anfield news.

    Alonso decides.

Xabi Alonso has stated that he will stay at Bayer Leverkusen, despite reports that he was being courted by Bayern Munich and Liverpool to become their next manager.

“Last week I had a very good meeting when I informed of them [Leverkusen’s directors] of my decision to continue being coach of Bayer Leverkusen,” Alonso stated on Friday. “You must undoubtedly thoroughly evaluate every decision you make.

“As a young coach, this is the ideal environment for me to grow as a coach right now. This is the ideal location right now. Firstly, I must appreciate the management. I feel valued by every department, and the club has been really supportive.”

    Jurgen Klopp speak up

In response to Alonso’s choice to remain at Leverkusen, Klopp has shared his thoughts, stating he “understands” the motivations.

“I can discuss about being a young manager at a club and achieving success,” Klopp responded when questioned regarding Alonso’s declaration. “I essentially followed suit and never felt bad about it. They might be able to maintain the team together because of how well Xabi is performing there.

That isn’t always the case. I can see why he would want to do that. Leverkusen is quite remarkable; it’s not as though he constructed them from earlier years. He has developed a really unique mindset that is present on the pitch.”

    Torres comes back

News from Liverpool: Jurgen Klopp comments after Xabi Alonso leaves the team and considers his options

According to a report from Spanish publication Marca, former Liverpool striker Fernando Torres has returned to Anfield this weekend to observe Klopp.

According to the article, Torres spent Friday and Saturday at Liverpool’s training facility and will attend their match against Brighton on Sunday. The 40-year-old is eager to pick up tips from one of the top managers in the business.

Torres rejoined Atletico Madrid in 2021 and is currently a coach for the club’s under-19 squad. As a player, Torres spent four seasons at Liverpool, making 142 games in all competitions and scoring 81 goals.

Liverpool has moved on swiftly from Xabi Alonso and is currently pursuing a preferred managerial target.

Following the news that Xabi Alonso will remain at Bayer Leverkusen, Liverpool has appointed a new manager as the team makes plans.

What a waste of a Good Friday. Given the news that Xabi Alonso would most likely not take over as manager of Liverpool, that is, at least, how those who were completely on board with him will have felt.

For a lot of Reds fans, Alonso was the ideal combination of pragmatic and passionate. Regardless of any prior ties to the club, his great record in an admittedly limited time as coach at Bayer Leverkusen would have put him high on the Anfield wishlist. His successful five-year tenure as a player means there would have been little trouble getting the fans behind him.

But unless the Spaniard does a stunning 180-degree flip, any transfer to Liverpool will have to wait, dash the hopes of many who couldn’t see past the former midfield player returning to his old haunts.

Alonso’s choice to stay at Leverkusen is commendable in certain aspects. It demonstrates not only his determination to stick with a career that he obviously feels is barely getting started, but also his refusal to be moved by larger clubs simply batting an eyelash at him.

Both Alonso and his current team—which, who knows, might one day be Liverpool—will gain from his patience and clear confidence in his ability to land better roles later in his career.

Naturally, some may believe that Alonso is limited to what Leverkusen can accomplish, especially if they win the domestic double this year, and that he would be better off trying his abilities at a more prestigious club. But the prospect of continuing to hone his managerial skills in the Champions League next season, away from the burden of being one of the favourites, would undoubtedly be alluring. He will also be able to explore the full potential of his Leverkusen team.

All of that, though, is currently irrelevant to Liverpool, who have long since realised it would be challenging to convince Alonso to leave Leverkusen. Ever since Jurgen Klopp announced his resignation in January, the Reds have been making

    Ruben Amorim

With the hiring of Michael Edwards as the football chief executive of Fenway Sports Group earlier this month and the subsequent confirmation of Richard Hughes as the Reds’ next sporting director, that quest picked more speed. They are at the head of the chase.

Nor have the other names under consideration changed. Roberto De Zerbi, whose Brighton team will be at Anfield on Sunday, is still a contender because of his Premier League experience, which is considered a significant advantage.

However, Sporting Lisbon manager Ruben Amorim is currently the preferred candidate because of his playing style and Portuguese success, which have attracted interest from other teams. Liverpool knows they can’t afford to waste time if they determine Amorim is the right man, especially because teams like Bayern Munich and Barcelona are looking to hire new managers this summer.

Whoever takes over will, however, be in a unique position for a new Liverpool manager because they will be joining from the outside and inheriting a squad that is growing rather than in decline. The only other times a successful team has been passed down have been through the renowned boot room succession of Kenny Dalglish, Joe Fagan, and Bob Paisley.

Similar to how many were shocked to learn of Klopp’s exit, Alonso’s many supporters will eventually accept that he won’t be seated in the home dugout at Anfield anytime soon. Liverpool has moved on, and curiosity over their potential new manager has only grown. However, time is running out.

Both on and off the pitch, Liverpool will undergo a lot of changes this summer.

The Liverpool supporters were shocked when Jurgen Klopp declared his intention to quit the team at the end of the season.

The 56-year-old manager made the decision to leave the Merseyside club, citing that he is “running out of energy.”

Liverpool will lose yet another significant player.

Assistant manager Pep Lijnders is another important Reds player who is departing the team, in addition to manager Klopp.

Football writer Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the 41-year-old is definitely leaving Anfield, providing an update on the connections between Lijnders and Ajax.

According to Romano, who spoke to GiveMeSport, “Liverpool assistant Pep Lijnders has emerged as one of the candidates to be the new Ajax manager for next season.”

“Lijnders is being considered by the club, although a decision has not yet been made. He will undoubtedly depart Liverpool with Jurgen Klopp; he won’t be sticking around once this season ends.

The club holds Klopp’s number two in high regard for his efforts, and the German manager recognises Pep’s input.

Romano has denied reports in the media that the assistant manager is well-liked by the players and that they would like to see him succeed Klopp.

An experienced manager is needed at Liverpool.

The Dutch manager may need some time to get experience at another club before accepting the position at the Premier League team, thus it’s possible that the Anfield job is too early for him.

For the time being, Lijnders appears to be a wonderful fit for Ajax, one of the biggest clubs in the Netherlands that is in need of renovation.

John van t Schip, the interim manager who was hired in October, has the Dutch squad in a transitional phase as they trail leaders PSV by 31 points at the moment.

L’Equipe claims that the centre back, who has been sidelined due to injury for the past few weeks, is prepared to play in the friendly.

The defender was substituted out during Liverpool’s Europa League first-leg match against Sparta Praha. Since then, he has missed a number of important games for the Reds, including their FA Cup loss to Man United last week.

How significant is Ibrahima Konate to Liverpool?

Given that the match against Chile is merely a friendly, Liverpool supporters will be hopeful that Konate survives. The centre back, who has played in 32 games for the Merseyside team this season, is an important member of Liverpool’s team.

It is no coincidence that the Reds have only triumphed in one of the three games in which the 24-year-old defender has missed due to injury. Klopp prefers the 24-year-old to combine with Virgil van Dijk.

With a few difficult games remaining and the desire to cap off his tenure at Anfield as best he can, the German coach will need everyone healthy for the last stretch.

Recent Liverpool manager searches and the three main attributes they are looking for

While nobody wants to consider life without Jurgen Klopp, the club is forced to consider such options as they look for his replacement, and three names keep coming up.

With 15 games remaining during Klopp’s tenure, Liverpool still has two Premier League and Europa League trophies up for grabs.

While everyone else concentrates on capping this campaign with a bang, the search for the next manager continues behind closed doors. He will leave the club in the best possible position.

As of right now, the former Red Alonso is still the front-runner to fill the position, followed by Xabi Alonso, Roberto De Zerbi of Brighton, and Ruben Amorim of Sporting.

They have a lot in common, and Liverpool “want a young manager who can grow at the club, and also someone who plays attacking football and has a strong personality,” according to Lewis Steele of the Mail.

They no longer require a revolutionary manager who can propel the team back to the top; instead, they need someone who can build on Klopp’s departure and propel Liverpool to even higher levels.

Liverpool is mindful of Alonso’s current work and will wait, but they “will fight” for him despite Germany’s conviction that he will be joining Bayern Munich.

Although there isn’t as much commotion around Richard Hughes as there is around Alonso or Amorim, the new sports director is a recognised admirer of De Zerbi’s work and tried to sign the Italian player some years ago at Bournemouth.

Since data will undoubtedly be used in Liverpool’s hunt, Amorim is a candidate to watch in that regard and is weighed highly.

De Zerbi holds the distinction of being the oldest at 44, yet all three fit the description of “young manager,” being no older than 45.

With 109 and 117 goals thus far this season, respectively, neither Alonso, 42, nor Amorim, 39, have seen their team lack goals; in contrast, Klopp’s Liverpool have 120 goals through ten games in 2023–2024.

Given the responsibilities a Liverpool manager will have to fulfil, the personality test will be equally crucial. However, comparing them to Klopp would be unfair because it would set an extremely unachievable bar.

It won’t be until the end of the season that the manager search is expected to make any substantial headway.

When the Dutch coach departs Liverpool in the summer, he wants to manage once again.

As he mulls over his options for after this season, Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders is a candidate for the open Ajax position.

Lijnders announced he will be leaving Liverpool with Jurgen Klopp in the summer, eliminating any possibility of him taking over as the departing coach.

John van’t Schip is Ajax’s temporary manager while they search for a new permanent leader. After a challenging season, the Dutch team is getting ready for a transitional phase. Lijnders would be reunited with Jordan Henderson, the former captain of Liverpool, if he was appointed.

The 41-year-old coach has been open about his desire to advance to management. He managed Dutch second division team NEC for a brief period of time in 2018, however he lost his position as the team was unable to advance through the play-offs.

Shortly after, Lijnders made his way back to Anfield, starting the German’s trophy-winning era and forging a highly successful alliance with Klopp.

In fact, some people think the Dutchman should be considered for the position of Klopp’s replacement, carrying on the legacy of Bob Paisley, Bill Shankly’s assistant, who made sure the legend’s values were upheld in the middle of the 1970s. However, Lijnders stated right away that there is no chance of that occurring, even though it is very possible that he would be connected to a future return to Anfield if he performs well as a No. 1 somewhere.

Liverpool is anxiously awaiting the findings of Andy Robertson’s ankle scan, as he suffered his second injury of the year while playing for Scotland in the international arena.

Due to a dislocated shoulder he sustained while representing his country last autumn, Robertson was sidelined for the majority of the campaign. He is now hopeful that the ankle injury he sustained against Northern Ireland on Tuesday is just a small setback after gradually returning to full fitness.

Fans of Liverpool receive a shocking morning update from Fabrizio Romano.

It is now believed that Real Madrid is “monitoring” Trent Alexander-Arnold due to his unresolved Liverpool contract problem.

The relevant information was posted by Fabrizio Romano on X, formerly Twitter. The fullback’s current contract is scheduled to end in the summer of 2025.

Although the player’s mental state is still unknown, the Merseysiders are unwilling to part with their vice captain.

This summer, is Trent Alexander-Arnold going to be sold?

Nothing in football is guaranteed, of course, but we don’t think there’s a possibility in hell that our No. 66 will swap Liverpool red for Madrid white.

Now that the club has separated the two key positions of sports director (in Richard Hughes) and CEO of football (in Michael Edwards) with FSG, the 25-year-old’s problem should be settled soon Though the latter’s most essential assignment before formally joining the club on June 1 will be obtaining the services of Jurgen Klopp’s replacement.

Prior to the summer break, Brighton head coach Roberto De Zerbi is being courted by Bayern Munich and Liverpool, but the Italian has not made up his mind about his future.

Although the Italian coach Roberto De Zerbi is ‘flattered’ by Bayern Munich’s interest, he is not in a hurry to decide on his long-term future.

Since taking over for Graham Potter at Brighton in September 2022, De Zerbi, 44, has made a name for himself as one of the most promising young coaches in Europe. Unfortunately for the Seagulls, other teams have taken note of De Zerbi’s achievements in the Premier League, which include leading the team to its first-ever European campaign.

Many top teams are expected to be looking for a new head coach in the summer, and De Zerbi is being tipped to be a strong candidate for several positions, including one at Liverpool, which will be without Jurgen Klopp at the end of the current season.

Another team that has reportedly expressed interest in De Zerbi is Bayern Munich; Bild is now reporting that the German powerhouses have even had discussions with the Brighton manager. However, it should be mentioned that Xabi Alonso is still their top priority.

De Zerbi is likely to keep all of his options open and not make any decisions regarding his future, as further interest in his services is anticipated in the summer. Despite being ‘fascinated’ by the idea of replacing Thomas Tuchel at the Allianz Arena, De Zerbi is planned to proceed cautiously.

It’s interesting to note that Liverpool is apparently considering Alonso in addition to De Zerbi, who has been shortlisted for the forthcoming Anfield position. Michael Edwards, who is back, hired Richard Hughes as the new sporting director, and he will be in charge of selecting the best player to take over for Klopp.

Given his outstanding record at Bayer Leverkusen, it is believed that Alonso is also Liverpool’s top target. As Klopp’s tenure comes to an end, other coaches like De Zerbi and Ruben Amorim are still being considered by the team.

Uli Hoeness, the honorary president of Bayern Munich, recently acknowledged that the defending Bundesliga champions are making every effort to entice Alonso to return to his former haunts. Leverkusen is optimistic that the Spaniard will decline offers from two of his previous clubs in order to stay in his current position for the upcoming campaign.

“Clubs like Liverpool, Real Madrid, Leverkusen, and FC Bayern are working on it,” he said to Ran Sport. He has demonstrated his ability to be a successful coach.”

Like Klopp, Alonso has a chance to defeat Bayern Munich and win the domestic championship, as Leverkusen is presently leading the race. With ten games remaining in the season, Liverpool trails Arsenal in the Premier League title race, but only by a narrow margin due to goal differential.
