This Saturday, Anfield will host Arne Slot’s first Premier League game when Liverpool takes on Brentford.

Slot has a fully healthy roster to select from, much as in the first game, however Jarell Quansah’s halftime haul may mean a change at the back.
The 21-year-old was included in the starting lineup with Virgil van Dijk, but Ibrahima Konate was substituted for him at halftime.
After the game, Slot clarified that it was a tactical choice, believing that his team needed the Frenchman’s strength after losing a bunch of close calls in the first half.
The Liverpool manager clarified, “I think we needed Konate to win the long balls through the air from their number nine. Not that Jarell [Quansah] lost every duel—many of us lost too many duels.”
Conate or Quansah’s starting position will probably be his most important choice ahead of Brentford’s arrival; the team also had a winning start after defeating Crystal Palace 2-1.
Gomez may still be at Liverpool, though, as rumours from this week indicate he might be added back to the team this coming weekend.

Liverpool could take £51 million to offload a major player this summer
Luis Diaz, a winger for Liverpool, has been linked to leaving the team this summer.

The 27-year-old international winger from Colombia was originally estimated to be worth €75 million. However, Liverpool is reportedly willing to approve his exit for a meagre €60 million (£51 million). It will be intriguing to see if Barcelona agrees to sign the player and meet the English club’s criteria.
The story goes on to say that the two teams might carry out a partial trade agreement that would help them both in terms of financial rules.
Diaz would be a fantastic addition, and they need more depth and talent in the wide spaces. He has established himself as a dependable Premier League performer, and since joining Liverpool from Porto, he has been an important member of the team.
For him, the chance to relocate to Barcelona might be very alluring. He would be able to test himself in La Liga and compete for championships with one of the top teams in the world, which would be a fantastic next step in his career.
