    Melkamu Frauendorf

After it was confirmed that Melkamu Frauendorf would be leaving the Reds on a free agent, he wrote an emotional parting letter to his colleagues and club personnel at Liverpool.

Melkamu Frauendorf, who left Liverpool on a free transfer, sent a passionate note of thanks to the players and staff there. After spending four years at Anfield, the 20-year-old midfielder has returned to Germany and signed with Hannover 96 of the 2. Bundesliga.

At the age of sixteen, Liverpool signed the Ethiopian-born player from Hoffenheim, with the Bundesliga team receiving training recompense for their part in his growth.

Frauendorf, the young captain of Germany, began his career with the Reds under Marc Bridge-Wilkinson in the under-16 division before advancing to the under-21 division. In 2022, he made his debut for Liverpool against Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup third round. Ten months later, he was handed his first start in the Carabao Cup against Derby County.

Along with Joel Matip and Thiago Alcantara, the German under-19 international is one of seven academy prospects departing Liverpool as their contracts expire. This week, it was revealed that he would be going back to Germany to play football in the third division. He would first be joining Die Roten’s U23s as he recovers from his injury.

“As I am entering a new chapter in my career at Hannover 96 Football Club, today is the day to say goodbye and THANK YOU for the four wonderful years I spent at the Liverpool Academy,” he wrote in an Instagram post. “I could not have wished for better training conditions, and my special thank you goes out to my coaches, and to all my teammates.”

“Thank you to all the staff, especially the kitchen staff, for absolutely delicious food, and thank you to my teachers who helped me succeed in the language classes,” he said. “Thank you to every fan that helped make it unique to represent the Club at the games!

“Having to say goodbye to my host family was the saddest aspect of moving out of Liverpool; you are more like family to me than host parents, and I will miss our time together and the time we spent with the kids in the house. I can never express how much I appreciate everything you did for me. Best wishes to all of you.”

According to Liverpool.com, Frauendorf wasn’t prepared for the move up to the senior team despite having a strong youthful game. Though he should be able to determine his ideal position with more consistent playing time, there is still some uncertainty around it. He’ll make up for it in Germany, and he should have a prosperous future.

    Melkamu Frauendorf

Melkamu Frauendorf, one of Jurgen Klopp’s academy debutants, has found a new club after being released by Liverpool this summer. He is now playing for a second-tier team in Germany.

The 20-year-old, who signed from Hoffenheim in 2020, played primarily for the academy, missing just two games for the first team—one of which was a Carabao Cup start against Derby.

Due to injuries that marred his final season, Frauendorf was released this summer, allowing him to find a new team to finish his career.

The midfield player signed with Hannover 96 of the 2.Bundesliga right away. Although there will be opportunities for him to rise up, he will initially be a part of their under-23 squad.

“With the U23s’ promotion to the 3rd division, we were able to show him a way to find his way into men’s football in Germany and prove himself at a good level,” said Marcus Mann, sporting director of Hannover.

“The door is open for him to slide into the top, as it is for everyone, if he succeeds.”

The 20-year-old, a German youth international, has a lot of speed and has worked really hard while attending Liverpool’s academy.

Frauendorf expressed the kind of mindset that 96 will be glad to have in their ranks after completing his free transfer, saying: “I am very happy about the chance to be back in Germany and to have the opportunity to play in the 3rd division at Hannover 96.”

“Compared to other clubs in Germany, the opportunities that 96 can provide a young player with first-class conditions in the academy and of course due to the constellation with the U23s in the 3rd division are very exceptional.”

Frauendorf was one of eight academy grads released by Liverpool this summer, along with twenty-year-old Mateusz Musialowski and twenty-year-old Adam Lewis.

Additionally, the Reds are also monitoring Jamal Musiala’s current circumstances at Bayern Munich, according to our friends at the Mirror. He reportedly believes that the Premier League is the next phase of his career.

With two goals scored by Germany thus far at Euro 2024, the aggressive midfielder has already had a major impact. Musiala has reportedly turned down a new £150,000-per-week contract from Bayern, but he has chosen to remain open to other options. Melkamu Frauendorf is hoping to leave a lasting impression at Liverpool’s training camp in Germany.

The 19-year-old was signed by Hoffenheim in 2020, before signing professional contracts with Liverpool a year later. In his debut season with the Reds, the versatile attacking midfielder shone for the under-18s, scoring seven goals, including in the FA Youth Cup final.

An even more impressive season followed, resulting in the then 17-year-old Frauendorf making his first team debut in January 2022 as a substitute against Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup. He earned his first start for Liverpool in a Carabao Cup win against Derby County last season. Last season, Frauendorf showed his versatility and was used across the board. The Germany U19 international has been deployed as both a left and right forward, and also successfully broke into the forward position for the U21 side, scoring twice and getting one assist in three games.

Frauendorf had attracted interest from other clubs, before signing for Liverpool, and was aware of interest from the Reds for a year before deciding to move to Merseyside. The teenager began imagining playing for the club in 2017 as he watched from the stands Trent Alexander-Arnold score his first goal for Liverpool against Hoffenheim in a Champions League play-off match.

Ryan Gravenberch makes a comeback and Jürgen Klopp considers a target for Manchester United in the latest Liverpool transfer news.

Ryan Gravenberch makes a comeback and Jürgen Klopp considers a target for Manchester United in the latest Liverpool transfer news.
Liverpool transfer news: Ryan Gravenberch, a star for Bayern Munich, has returned, and Jürgen Klopp is reportedly eyeing a player that Manchester United likes (again).

Fabinho, the Brazilian number six who is expected to move to Saudi Arabia, must be replaced at the center of Liverpool’s midfield. The Reds will need to make at least one more change in the pitch’s middle after they already made one.

Jordan Henderson, the team’s captain, has drawn interest from the Middle East in addition to Fabinho, though no bids for the former Sunderland player have yet been made public. In contrast to Fabinho, Henderson is currently in Germany with his Liverpool teammates.

Liverpool will be required to find replacements should one, the other, or both players move. It will need to be someone who arrives with decent caliber as well, given the experience between the two.

The precise names on the shopping list of new sporting director Jörg Schmadtke have not yet been revealed, but Liverpool must make the right choice for the position of Fabinho’s replacement.

When Fabinho leaves, a few names have been mentioned as potential replacements. Here is the Liverpool . com opinion on the transfer rumors that have been swirling around the Reds today.

    Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat.

    Ryan Gravenberch.
Sofyan Amrabat, a World Cup star who was linked to Liverpool in January, could take Fabinho’s place as a replacement. The Moroccan is one of the names being considered, according to The Athletic.

Amrabat is a naturally talented holding midfielder, but at the age of 26, he needs to advance significantly quickly to meet Liverpool’s standards. Although he’s a good player, Fabinho wasn’t at his best.

The Independent had earlier this week’s report that the midfielder was also being looked at by Manchester United. However, given Erik ten Hag’s other ventures, any action would be dependent on sales.

There would be a lot of “what if?” if Liverpool did sign Amrabat this summer when he was first reported to be available in January, according to Liverpool . com. It is not that simple, of course, but Amrabat would not be the kind of game-changing addition that most are hoping for post-Fabinho regardless if the deal had simply been made six months in advance.

    Ryan Gravenberch(Bayern Munich)

According to Sky Sports reporter Melissa Reddy, Ryan Gravenberch of Bayern Munich, who Liverpool had interest in earlier in the summer, is another player on the list to replace Fabinho.

Instead of standing out as a player who can play as a lone holding midfielder, Gravnberch is more of an attack-minded player who can double-pivot alongside another player.

According to Liverpool.com, Gravenberch might change the way he plays if Liverpool sees something in him. Alternately, Gravenberch is not the main target; Liverpool has its sights set on a different player. The Bayern Munich star has already stated that, if at all possible, he would prefer to remain with the German powerhouses, with a lack of playing time currently being his only complaint.
