Liverpool may make significant summer spending to make up for the loss of Jurgen Klopp.

According to reports, Liverpool sent scouts to Portugal on Sunday to have a closer look at three potential summer transfer targets. Michael Edwards, the club’s CEO of Football, is already hard at work creating a long-term recruitment strategy in the wake of beloved manager Jurgen Klopp’s departure.

After Klopp leaves, Sporting manager Ruben Amorim appears to be in the lead to take over at Anfield. On Sunday, he managed a 3-0 victory over Vitoria de Guimaraes, with goals from Pedro Goncalves and the in-form attacker Viktor Gyokeres.

Gyokeres was the major focus of Liverpool scouts who were present, according to HITC. The Reds are rumoured to be interested in promising defender Goncalo Inacio as well as controlling centre midfielder Morten Hjulmand.

Morten Hjulmand.                    GyokeresAccording to reports, Liverpool sent scouts to Portugal on Sunday to have a closer look at three potential summer transfer targets.

With Benfica as their closest rivals, Sporting is 10 points ahead of them as they continue their march towards their first Portuguese league title since 2021. All three stars played the entire ninety minutes.

The scouting trip is a foreshadowing of Liverpool moving forward with significant business in the summer transfer window, when sporting director Richard Hughes and incoming football boss Edwards will have a chance to impress fans.

With an incredible 34 goal contributions in 29 league appearances since leaving Coventry City for Sporting last summer, Gyokeres has been a huge success story. At the end of the season, the 25-year-old striker might be available for £69 million, according to sources.

Sporting reportedly placed the same high price tag on Hjulmand, a Danish international who joined the Portuguese team in 2023 after leaving Lecce. If Liverpool don’t move swiftly, Manchester United and Tottenham might challenge Liverpool for the 24-year-old’s signature.

Meanwhile, Inacio is obligated under a contract that purportedly contains a £52 million release clause. Purchasing all three players might cost Liverpool a total of £190 million, but Sporting will undoubtedly fight if they lose their highly regarded manager Amorim.

According to reports, the 39-year-old is the Reds’ top target after Xabi Alonso promised to stay with Bayer Leverkusen for another season. Amorim is believed to be more important than Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann and Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi.

Although it might be a stretch for Liverpool to pay enough money to entice Gyokeres, Hjulmand, and teenage center-back Inacio from Portugal, room will be made on the wage bill this summer as Thiago Alcantara and Joel Matip both get closer to leaving.

Four clubs from various areas have been identified by analytics specialists as potential acquisition targets for Fenway Sports Group

Four clubs from various areas have been identified by analytics specialists as potential acquisition targets for Fenway Sports Group, as they seek to expand their partnership with Liverpool.

As part of their plan to diversify into the football industry, FSG has named Michael Edwards as their new CEO of Football.

Following Edwards’ hiring, the ownership group declared their intention to buy a different team, which should help Liverpool acquire players.

In light of this, sports tech startup Prospect, which uses AI to support professionals in the industry, has identified four teams that FSG may choose to pursue.

These are Dundee United (Scotland), Gil Vicente (Portugal), Toulouse (France), and KVC Westerlo (Belgium).

Four clubs from various areas have been identified by analytics specialists as potential acquisition targets for Fenway Sports Group

According to their analysis, FSG will probably use their next club to help Liverpool with:

Increased flexibility with work permits for loans and transfers is crucial.

Significant impact on tactical approach for the development of loan players

Significant: Expanding knowledge networks and scouting

As previously mentioned, the Premier League has partnerships with six teams in France, which is the highest number of any country. The other teams are from Saudi Arabia (five), Belgium (four), the USA (three), Brazil (two), India (two), Portugal (two), and Scotland (two).

Prospect ignores Saudi Arabia, the USA, Brazil, and India for a variety of geopolitical and economical reasons.

Liverpool is expected to concentrate on France, Belgium, Portugal, and Scotland, each of which has advantages and disadvantages.

It is stated that the following are reasonably priced to buy: Gil Vicente (£6.8m and £10.3m), Dundee United (£8.6m to £12.3m), Toulouse (£43m to £68.5m), and KVC Westerlo (£6m to £9.4m).

Additionally, Liverpool is expected to gain from them all in a variety of ways, including superior player exposure, access to new markets, and avoidance of work visa complications.

Prospect determined that Toulouse was the best team to buy, considering that RedBird Capital, FSG’s partners, already owned the Ligue 1 team and there have been rumours of a potential sale.

It should be noted, nevertheless, that considering Pedro Marques’ prior experience at Benfica, his selection as FSG’s new technical director for football may indicate a preference for the Portuguese market.

According to Prospect’s research, FSG may consider exploring markets in Sweden, Brazil, the Netherlands, and Denmark. The complete report is well worth reading.

During Liverpool’s tie with Manchester United, Quansah committed a terrible mistake.

Bruno Fernandes scored from long range thanks to an assist from the centre back.

Young defender is urged by Klopp to “learn from it.”

Jarell Quansah made a mistake on Sunday that cost Liverpool the lead in their 2-2 draw with Manchester United, but Jurgen Klopp believes Quansah will learn from it.

After the 21-year-old misdirected Virgil van Dijk’s pass, the ball ended up at Bruno Fernandes’ feet. With a fantastic long-range shot, Fernandes caught Caiomhin Kelleher off guard and tied the score at one.

After Liverpool had showered down 15 attempts on Andre Onana’s goal, Fernandes’ effort was the home team’s first and represented a turning point in the encounter at Old Trafford.

Fortunately for Liverpool, they were able to salvage a late point after Kobbie Mainoo had given United the lead. With six minutes left, Mohamed Salah scored from the penalty spot after Harvey Elliott was ruled to have been fouled by Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

After the game, Klopp spoke, quickly clearing Quansah of any responsibility for his error and emphasising instead how the young player grows from it and improves going forward.

“As a football player in the Premier League, and playing for Liverpool, I have the bad news it will not be the last mistake in his life, unfortunately,” Klopp stated.

“Life is like that. He handled it really well, in my opinion, and so did we. However, there was no social media when our heroes made these kinds of errors in the past, so perhaps he’s wise enough to turn that off.

We want to play build-up, maintain possession of the ball, and play football. While it’s not ideal, bigger errors are made in football. Bruno recognised the chance and seized it, and that is still the case.

“It just happens; there is no blame or criticism of any kind. The best thing that can happen is that he will learn from it.”

Liverpool’s failure to gain ground on Arsenal, who defeated Brighton & Hove Albion 3-0 on Saturday, resulted in the two teams drawing level on 71 points, one point clear of leaders Manchester City. Most importantly, Mikel Arteta’s team has three more goals than Klopp’s team and has a better goal differential of nine.

Porto 'ace scouted' and Michael Edwards'makes Mohamed Salah decision' in the transfer news involving Liverpool.

Transfer rumours are circulating about Mohamed Salah leaving Liverpool this summer. This past weekend, the Reds are said to have scouted a midfield player from Porto.

Liverpool doesn’t have time to reflect on the two points it lost to Manchester United on Sunday at Old Trafford. Though the Reds have seldom dominated a game this much in terms of projected goals and lost, attention now needs to turn to the Europa League quarterfinals.

On Thursday night, Atalanta will visit Anfield for the first leg of the encounter. In 2020, it triumphed 2-0 during its lone prior visit at the Champions League group stage. But since that game was played behind closed doors, Liverpool will undoubtedly benefit more from the atmosphere that welcomes them this time around.

Additionally, Gian Piero Gasperini’s team has only triumphed once in their previous seven road games across all competitions. Even if they won against Napoli, the reigning Serie A winners are not playing near to their previous level of play. Before the rematch in Italy the following week, the Reds can be sure of a victory.

Even though the 2023–24 season is coming to a finish and some awards still need to be decided, there are countless rumours, as usual, about players who might be moving this summer.

This is Liverpool.com’s assessment of the transfer rumours that have surfaced regarding the Reds today, which include updates on Mohamed Salah’s future and a potential target that the Reds may be scouting in Portugal this weekend.

    Salah Mohamed (Liverpool)

Salah scored from the penalty spot for his goal at Old Trafford, but in five starts since coming back from injury, he has four goals and three assists. Very shortly, normal service was restored.

The same goes for rumours that associate him with relocations abroad. Salah’s contract is about to expire, and according to a report from HITC that The Express published, Saudi Pro League teams are reportedly interested in signing the 31-year-old.

Though it’s nothing new, Michael Edwards is allegedly “ready to sell Mohamed Salah” at this point. According to reports, Saudi teams are “confident” that a deal can be reached for Salah this summer and may take heart from Edwards’ position on the subject.

Additionally, it’s said that Liverpool and Edwards are prepared to consent to Salah’s departure should the Egyptian express any desire to move on. At this point, considering his previous results, that does seem improbable.

Liverpool.com states: There are many ifs and buts in this situation, even though it’s possible that Saudi Arabia would make Salah a sizable financial offer during the transfer window. First of all, Edwards won’t make all of the decisions; Richard Hughes will be the sporting director, so he will probably have some say. Additionally, the athlete hasn’t shown any overt signs that he wants to depart. Though there will always be rumours about Salah’s departure, this most recent article doesn’t seem to be one.

    Alan Varela (Porto)

Porto 'ace scouted' and Michael Edwards'makes Mohamed Salah decision' in the transfer news involving Liverpool.

At least according to Record (via Sport Witness), Liverpool apparently had scouts observing players in Portugal this past weekend. It has been “made clear” that the Reds “had a representative” at Porto’s match against Vitória Guimarães, however it is unclear who they were observing. It has been thought that the player of interest is Alan Varela, the Argentine midfielder for Porto, who has already been linked to the club.

The 22-year-old, who previously played for Boca Juniors in his own country, is in his first season in the Primeira Liga. Varela has made 32 appearances in all competitions in 2023–24, mostly as a defensive midfielder, but he has also assisted three goals and scored two goals.

According to Liverpool.com. Wataru Endō has exceeded expectations, but Liverpool may still be looking for a long-term replacement for the base of their midfield, Varela does match the age profile that the Reds may be looking for, but a move to Anfield seems far less likely with the four years left on his contract. In the long run, though, he might be someone to keep an eye on.

  • Richard Hughes to make the incredible first signing of a talent who eluded Michael Edwards twice at Liverpool.

Richard Hughes to make the incredible first signing of a talent who eluded Michael Edwards twice at Liverpool.

Richard Hughes might be able to assist Liverpool in signing a Bournemouth player that Michael Edwards twice failed to sign, and Hughes’ presence would make sense considering the departure of a star player for Jurgen Klopp.

An attempt by FSG, the owners of Liverpool, to rehire Michael Edwards earlier in March was successful. Between 2011 and 22, Edwards did amazing things for Liverpool, and he was hailed as the man who set the pieces in place so that the Reds could succeed under Jurgen Klopp.

Edwards is back at FSG serving as the group CEO of Football. Richard Hughes will take over as sporting director at Anfield, reporting directly to Edwards, replacing Jorg Schmadtke. Hughes agreed to join Liverpool, but he left the Cherries earlier in March.

On June 1, the 44-year-old will begin working for Liverpool. However, the Liverpool Echo claims that we may already be aware of his first signing.

Lloyd Kelly, a defender for Bournemouth, is also set to depart the Cherries concurrently with Hughes’ arrival at the Reds.

When his contract expires at the end of the current campaign, the versatile 25-year-old left-footer is expected to become a free agent. Bournemouth is still hopeful that they can work out an extension, but there’s no guarantee Kelly will agree to new conditions.

Kelly, who can play centre back or left back with equal comfort, is reportedly of interest to AC Milan. Following Bournemouth’s rejection of a £20 million bid for the midfielder last summer, Tottenham has kept an eye on the youngster.

    Kelly in, Matip out?

But Liverpool is also impressed with Kelly, and since Joel Matip is likely to be let go after his contract expires, adding Kelly makes sense.

Matip, 32, is out of contract this summer and is not likely to receive a new contract offer from FSG because he recently had ACL surgery.

    Lloyd Kelly

Kelly is portrayed by The Liverpool Echo as Hughes’ possible first Merseyside acquisition. Furthermore, back in 2019, Hughes was the one who annoyed Liverpool by enticing Kelly to Bournemouth.

Kelly was on the roster of Bristol City when Liverpool, then under the direction of Michael Edwards, made an inquiry about signing him.

But Hughes and Bournemouth outperformed the Reds, completing Kelly’s £13 million signing.

Paul Joyce of the Times claims that after Hughes’ coup, Edwards called to congratulate his rival.

Joyce writes, “To Liverpool’s dismay, Hughes was successful in convincing defender Lloyd Kelly to turn down Merseyside’s offer and move to Bournemouth in May 2019 for £13 million.”

“That transaction led to a reluctant, congrats phone call from Michael Edwards, Liverpool’s sporting director at the time, to Hughes.”

Hughes’ next career move has now been made possible by Edwards’ appointment as chief executive of football at Liverpool’s owner, Fenway Sports Group.

Kelly and Liverpool, third times lucky?
A year later, The Liverpool Echo also draws attention to another chance that Edwards and the Reds failed to seize.

Kelly was relegated to the Championship in his debut season as a member of Bournemouth. Liverpool was among the teams that made rapid inquiries about the player.

Kelly continued to evade Liverpool at the moment, but Klopp was still searching for a left-sided defender. Rather, Kostas Tsimikas, a Greek left-back, signed for £11.75 million from Olympiacos.

In the present day, the Echo is promoting the notion that Liverpool has at last acquired Kelly. The fact that there will be no transfer fees to pay now that he is available makes the move even more alluring.

With Edwards leading the team and Hughes pulling the strings—both of whom are obviously huge supporters of Kelly—a long-awaited move to Anfield may finally be imminent.

  • Michael Edwards may have determined that Liverpool needs to bring in three players to Old Trafford.

Michael Edwards may have determined that Liverpool needs to bring in three players to Old Trafford.

Luke Chambers and Owen Beck o

After taking a position as the football CEO at Fenway Sports Group, Michael Edwards has returned to Anfield.

When the full-time whistle blew in the Old Trafford directors’ box, Michael Edwards smiled resignedly. After watching an intense FA Cup quarterfinal match in which Liverpool emerged as the runners-up, he was exhausted. The Reds’ chances of winning a quadruple this season are finished after losing 4-3 to their fierce rivals, Manchester United.

Edwards has played football long enough to know that it is almost never possible to win four trophies in a single season. When you take into account Jurgen Klopp’s team’s continuous injury problems, it’s amazing that they are still tied for first place in the Premier League and won the Carabao Cup at Wembley.

However, Edwards won’t be able to influence anything until May. His official start date as the football CEO of Fenway Sports Group is June 1. Jurgen Klopp’s farewell tour mostly features the former Tottenham analyst, who was lured back to FSG following a renowned tenure as sporting director from 2016 to 2022, during which he won six major championships.

Though he may not be in his current position, plans are undoubtedly being made for the future. Edwards’ duties will extend beyond Liverpool, as FSG intends to broaden their range of interests. Richard Hughes, who is set to depart Bournemouth at the end of the current campaign, is anticipated to take over his former role as sporting director. Hughes will supervise recruitment going forward in conjunction with Klopp’s successor.

Edwards, though, is probably still involved. His influence will be felt after he established himself as one of the top recruiters in the business by landing players like Alisson Becker, Virgil van Dijk, Mo Salah, and Sadio Mane.

Additionally, he might have been identifying which places might benefit from reinforcements during the summer transfer window while he watched the action against United. Actually, he might have written down three.

Michael Edwards may have determined that Liverpool needs to bring in three players to Old Trafford.

Mo Salah scored his 21st goal of the season and his 13th goal overall against United. The star player for Liverpool has returned from injury just in time, having missed most of 2024 due to a hamstring injury sustained during the African Cup of Nations.

Salah wants to finish this semester with a barnstorming performance. There’s a good chance the Reds will win both the Premier League and the Europa League if he returns to the level he had before his setback.

However, supporters are well aware that Saudi Arabia might make another move in the summer. Liverpool shown their commitment at the end of the previous summer transfer season when they turned down a deal of up to £150 million from Al-Ittihad. For a player thirty-one years old, many clubs would have accepted this enormous offer without hesitation. Liverpool was adamant that the winger would not be going anywhere.

However, Salah will be one year older in the off-season and, more importantly, will only have 12 months left on his lucrative deal, which could pay up to £400,000 a week.

Liverpool might not be able to decline another sizable offer and run the danger of losing Salah for free. Furthermore, with Klopp leaving, the Egypt international might decide it’s time to wrap up his seven-year tenure.

One of the main responsibilities of Edwards’ prior role was future planning. Under his direction, future stars like Conor Bradley and Harvey Elliott were cultivated. They really have become regulars now.

Michael Edwards may have determined that Liverpool needs to bring in three players to Old Trafford. And Andy Robertson was very much brought in for the now and for the future when he signed a contract worth just £8 million with Hull City in the summer of 2017. The left-back had the best years of his career ahead of him when he arrived to Anfield at the age of 23. It took Robertson some time to get used to Klopp’s lineup, as Alberto Moreno was chosen at the beginning of the 2017–18 season. But starting in December, Robertson was the clear front-runner. He would go on to become one of the top players in his position globally.

Robertson missed the better part of four months due to a shoulder injury he sustained earlier this term while on international duty. He’s had to split playing time on the left side of defence with Joe Gomez ever since recovering from his injury.

Even though he was one of the better players at Old Trafford prior to being replaced in the 67th minute, Robertson is still striving to gain momentum.

At thirty years old, finding a long-term replacement might soon become a top priority. Because of his intense style, Robertson probably won’t be able to perform as well week in and week out as he once could. Although he signed a new contract earlier in the campaign, Kostas Tsimikas, who is currently the deputy, is nearly 28 years old and may have aspirations of becoming first choice somewhere.

Luke Chambers and Owen Beck o

Luke Chambers and Owen Beck of Liverpool are presently having exciting loan stints at Dundee and Wigan Athletic, respectively. Still, one more choice might be desired.

Furthermore, there isn’t much depth at the No. 6 spot right now. All of Wataru Endo’s early critics have been proven wrong. Now the team’s pivot, Endo is a summer acquisition from Stuttgart, and Klopp thinks the 31-year-old still has a lot of mileage left in him.

However, he will also need to be rotated. During the start of the season, Alexis Mac Allister played holding midfield, but his best play has come further up the pitch, where he excelled for Brighton and assisted Argentina in winning the World Cup.

Before an adductor injury hindered his progress in the 2022–2023 season, Stefan Bajcetic had a fantastic breakout campaign. This time around, however, he has only been able to make two appearances due to growing concerns. Prior to this, Liverpool had James Milner, Jordan Henderson, and Fabinho, who could all anchor the engine room and designate another body.

Naturally, a lot will rely on the kind of football Klopp’s replacement wishes to play. It is possible that an entirely new configuration will be used, in which case additional locations may need to be reinforced. Before he returns to his desk at Anfield, though, Edwards will undoubtedly be working to make sure Liverpool is best positioned to guarantee that they stay in the elite echelons of the Premier League and in Europe.

News about transfers involving Liverpool as Michael Edwards considers Jamal Musiala a "priority," and two transactions are "likely."

News about transfers involving Liverpool: Michael Edwards has Jamal Musiala in the crosshairs. Fabrizio Romano reports that the Reds may be targeting two slots.

It’s possible that Liverpool may begin to formulate some firm transfer plans. Though Jürgen Klopp’s replacement is still a mystery, Michael Edwards’ return to the FSG fold adds much-needed stability.

He is not returning to his previous position as sporting director, which Richard Hughes is anticipated to take over at the end of the current campaign. At that point, Liverpool’s transfer strategy is probably going to pick up a notch. However, Edwards is undoubtedly qualified to describe some potential objectives in the meantime, particularly if he already has a keen sense of who he wants to succeed him as manager.

The Reds may begin determining, if nothing else, which general areas of the pitch they should target for reinforcement in the summer. Two possible weak areas have been mentioned as having been found.

More specifically, Edwards is reportedly considering Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala as one of his “first priorities.” The high asking price and probable competition from other clubs will put Liverpool’s will to close a deal to the test, but there’s no denying the exciting prospect’s quality.

This is Liverpool.com’s assessment of the transfer rumours that have been circulating about the Reds lately. Let’s start with Musiala’s most recent news.

    Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala

    Jamal Musiala

According to Football Insider, Edwards is moving forward with his pursuit of Musiala. According to the source, Liverpool is’very keen’ to complete a deal.

Come summertime, Musiala’s contract with Bayern Munich will expire after two years. It is said that he turned down the opportunity to sign new terms.

That will definitely make a lot of clubs very cautious. It turns out that Manchester City is also reportedly interested. However, Bayern Munich has set an asking price of $127 million (£100 million/€117 million) and is currently unwilling to sell to anyone.

It remains to be seen if that has a strong enough deterrence effect. Musiala has the added benefit of being a native of the country, having grown up in the Chelsea system and competing for England as a young player before changing sides.

According to Liverpool.com, this would be an incredibly thrilling transfer to start a new chapter. If we go into the realm of possibilities, it would be simple to imagine Musiala succeeding in one of the supporting roles behind the striker in Xabi Alonso’s preferred lineup.

However, there’s no assurance that Alonso will assume command. The issue with authorising such a high-profile addition is that, while it’s good to return control to Edwards and a new sporting director, the additions still need to fit into the manager’s system, and it seems like all the pieces need to fall into place before Liverpool can really go after major players like this.

    A forward and a center-back

Liverpool signed four players to essentially create a completely new midfield last summer while they were really busy. It’s likely to be a quieter transfer window with all the upheaval off the pitch, but the team has identified two areas to bolster.

Liverpool will look to add a new center-back in the summer, according to Fabrizio Romano, who was speaking on The Debrief. Transfer correspondent reports that the team was ‘given various opportunities’ in January but decided to hold off.

Unexpectedly, there will also be a forward on the schedule. Romano said, “I see them doing something in the offensive positions.” “I see at least two signings for Liverpool in the summer transfer window, but it could be a winger or a striker — we have to see what they want to do with the new manager.”

According to Liverpool.com: It doesn’t take a transfer guru to figure out that Liverpool will be considering centre backs, Joël Matip is probably going to move on when his contract expires, but as Virgil van Dijk gets closer to turning 33, some forward planning is going to be needed.

More intriguing information is found regarding hiring on the forward line. Although Mohamed Salah is approaching his contract’s last year and is also getting close to 30, Liverpool appears to have a rather well-stocked roster on paper. Hopefully, pursuing another assailant does not indicate that he is about to retire.

Benfica's technical director is being pursued by FSG as part of a multi-club scheme.

With Michael Edwards returning, Fenway Sports Group reaffirmed their intention to diversify outside Liverpool FC in football, and they are currently seeking more important players to join them.

The past few months have been a season of transition for Liverpool and the club’s owners, with important hires needed at every level.

After being named CEO of Football at FSG last week, Edwards’ return to the team was officially announced. Among his duties will be working at Liverpool and locating a second club for FSG to purchase.

According to Edwards, “the commitment to grow this area of their organisation by acquiring and overseeing an additional club is one of the biggest factors in my decision.”

“I think that in order for football to stay competitive, there needs to be investment and portfolio expansion.”

Benfica's technical director is being pursued by FSG as part of a multi-club scheme.

Pedro Marques, the technical director of Benfica, is apparently a target for FSG in order to assist with the acquisition of another club, according to David Ornstein of the Athletic.

As a result, he would work for FSG rather than Liverpool, and his abilities and knowledge would be valued for the duration of his search and the eventual management of another team.

Marques has been employed by Sporting CP as a youth coach, by Man City as a first-team performance analyst, and by Benfica since 2018.

Naturally, the two met when Darwin Nunez was signed by Liverpool in 2022, and FSG is now looking to Marques to assist with their upcoming project.

There are many positive and negative things to say about multi-club ownership, and FSG has made a deliberate strategic shift because, in Edwards’ words, they believe it is necessary given how the football environment is constantly evolving.

Regarding other Liverpool-focused hires, it is anticipated that Richard Hughes, whose departure from Bournemouth has already been confirmed, will soon sign a contract to become the next sporting director.

High-value €60 million star expected to ignite epic Arsenal vs. Liverpool trade clash

    Willian Pacho

Both Arsenal and Liverpool are still vying for the coveted crown as the 2023–24 Premier League season draws to a close, and they may face off during the summer transfer window.

Regardless matter the winner of the championship, Mikel Arteta and the person who succeeds Jurgen Klopp will almost definitely want to make a number of roster improvements.

Arsenal and Liverpool will compete for Willian Pacho.

Willian Pacho, a highly regarded centre back for Eintracht Frankfurt, is one player who seems to be attracting interest from both the Reds and the North Londoners.

Florian Plettenberg, a dependable football transfer analyst on Sky Sport Germany, claims that he has a contract that runs until 2028, but it appears that the Bundesliga team would be open to a deal at roughly €60 million.

Considering how successful Gabriel and William Saliba have been for the Gunners this season, one may anticipate that Pacho would not be first choice at Arsenal but would, at most, give some competition for spots.

A strong case can be made at Liverpool that he would fit in well with Virgil van Dijk in the Reds’ new back line.

Prior to attempting to outsmart one another in the transfer market, both teams have other matters to focus on for the time being.

A $63 million transfer decision is being made by Manchester United, and Michael Edwards "may join Liverpool rival."

After completing his minority ownership of Manchester United, Oldham-born billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe is reportedly considering Michael Edwards, the former sports director of Liverpool, for a position at the team.

The deal hasn’t been finalised yet since the 71-year-old wants to take entire football control of the team, even though he just bought a 25% share at Old Trafford. They are still working out the finer points of the arrangement.

Ratcliffe and his allies seem to think highly of Michael Edwards, the former sporting director of Liverpool, and they may consider offering him a position at Old Trafford if the sale is ever finalised. The question of Edwards’ interest in returning to the Premier League remains, though.

According to Liverpool.com, Edwards is renowned for his astute business and decision-making, which may be a threat to Liverpool if he were to join United because the two teams would be direct competitors for spots in the league table. However, it seems unlikely that he will wind up there, and even if he did, he would have a very difficult task ahead of him.

Man United set to allow Ten Hag signing to leave

Despite only joining the team last summer, TEAMtalk claims that Manchester United is prepared to let Brazilian international and former Real Madrid star Casemiro leave. The 31-year-old signed a contract for $88 million (£70 million/€81 million) when he joined in 2022, but his English debut has been difficult due to injuries and the current unrest at United.

    More news…….

Liverpool has been mentioned as a possible transfer partner for the 22-year-old Premier League player.

    Rayan Ait-Nouri

Although it is unlikely that a trade will be completed in January, Wolves left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri is apparently of interest to Liverpool.

This is based on reports from the French publication Le 10 Sport, which is unsure of the extent of Liverpool’s interest in the 22-year-old and whether or not they have contacted him.

Ait-Nouri has shown promise while playing for Wolves, and he seems like a capable long-term successor for Andrew Robertson at Liverpool. However, it’s unlikely that the Reds will view this as an immediate priority at this point.

However, Ait-Nouri is talented enough to transfer to a larger club, so it would be wise to monitor the Algerian international’s status in the next days, weeks, and months.

Le 10 Sport reports that it appears improbable that Wolves will allow the player to leave without a fight, so it may need to wait until next summer, and even then, it’s unclear how much he would cost.

Liverpool may be hoping to replicate the happiness they felt when they signed Diogo Jota from Wolves a few years ago.

Liverpool close to another midfielder and could get a highly prized gem for a fraction of what it could be worth

Liverpool are in talks to sign a highly regarded young midfielder to bolster their team’s ranks.

The Reds are still short on numbers in the center of the park but picked up their first win of the season at the weekend at home to Bournemouth, with new signing Wataru Endo coming off the bench. However, manager Jurgen Klopp would like a few more signings in midfield, with Cody Gakpo having played there lately.

With just under two weeks before the window closes, Liverpool may be in for a surge of activity after all – and efforts to bring in a certain young star have ramped up.

The Daily Mail say the Merseysiders are in talks to bring Ryan Gravenberch to Anfield this summer, having had an interest in him for a year – with assistant Pep Lijnders possibly influential in the deal. According to the Telegraph, Lijnders has played a bigger role in recruitment since the departure of sporting director Michael Edwards, with the Dutchman apparently playing a key role in the decision to join Gakpo. Gravenberch is another Dutch star – who could increase the presence of Dutch internationals at Melwood.

adapts perfectly to the system and can affect the game at all stages.

Having joined for just £16m last summer, Gravenberch could well be sold in a deal that favors the Reds over some of the more expensive targets they had in their sights. Liverpool could even negotiate a move on loan with a fee agreed at the end, mandatory or optional

Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel is said to be a fan of the young midfielder, but with plenty of competition at the Allianz Arena he has played just three games since joining from Ajax. Gravenberch is valued at 30 million euros by Transfermarkt.

The Manchester United and Liverpool transfer target has been flagged as one to watch until deadline day

According to report Liverpool in 'advanced talks' for wonderkid midfielder on negotiate deal
Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the transfer of Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch amid interest from Manchester United and Liverpool.

It appears the situation hasn’t changed much in recent days, with Romano reporting that both Man Utd and Liverpool have inquired about the Dutch international.

Romano expects this to be one to watch until the end of the transfer window, suggesting that could change, although Bayern are currently unenthusiastic about letting Gravenberch go…

Gravenberch previously looked like a top contender at his old club Ajax but hasn’t played regularly at Bayern so far, so he’d do well to move on.

The 21-year-old could still boost his career with the right move, and would certainly suit well at Man Utd, where they are a bit short in midfield.

LFC have also had some trouble in that department lately, although they have signed three players in that part of the pitch: Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Wataru Endo.

According to Romano ‘incredible’ Liverpool midfield target is joining PL rivals

Liverpool are likely to still be on the hunt for more midfielders before the transfer window closes.

The Reds have managed to sign Wataru Endo from Stuttgart.

The Japan international’s move to Anfield was a relief for Liverpool after a difficult week.

Not only did Liverpool lose Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to the Saudi Pro League, but two of their top targets moved to Chelsea instead.

However, there is more disappointing midfield news regarding another top midfielder linked with the Reds. The player in question is Leeds United and United States star Tyler Adams, who was linked with Liverpool 90 minutes ago.

The 90Min report acknowledged Bournemouth were favorites to sign the American, and they are now close to a deal.

Fabrizio Romano took to Twitter Friday night to say “here we go” on Adams to the South Coast.

The “excellent” player would have passed a medical and signed a five-year contract.

    Our point of view

In this case, Liverpool fans are unlikely to be too disappointed as the speculation seemed rather superficial. However, the Reds have lost an “incredible” player who was perfectly positioned for a big move, as he was relegated to Leeds.

Chelsea, in fact, tried to sign Adams, before pulling the plug and opting for Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia.

That said, Liverpool have done it with the signing of Endo, and they will no doubt make further additions before the start of September.
