  • Liverpool’s contract offer has displeased key player, who may now depart in the summer

Liverpool’s contract offer has displeased key player, who may now depart in the summer

Liverpool are currently grappling with contract issues concerning several of their players.

At the forefront of these concerns are Mohamed Salah, Virgil Van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold, all of whom are entering the final year of their contracts.

Their long-term futures at Anfield remain in question, and with the start of the new year, these players will have the opportunity to negotiate pre-contract agreements with other clubs.

Another Liverpool player now facing questions about his future at the club is Luis Diaz.

Reports from Colombia suggest that discussions between Liverpool and Diaz regarding a new contract are not progressing smoothly.

According to Colombian outlet Antenna 2, Diaz’s future at the club remains uncertain, as the offer Liverpool made was not well received by the Colombian international.

The club’s offer was far from what Diaz expected, which could potentially lead to his departure at the end of the season.

Despite this, negotiations will continue with Diaz over a new contract, and Liverpool are determined to finalize it soon. However, a failure to reach an agreement could see him leave the club in 2025.

The 27-year-old has been one of the standout players this season for Arne Slot’s side, contributing to the team’s success with 17 wins out of the 19 matches played so far.

While things are going well on the pitch for Liverpool, off-the-field issues, particularly the future of some of their players, are proving problematic.

Liverpool have mishandled the contract situation

It is quite surprising to see a club as well-managed as Liverpool struggling to secure new deals for their players.

Alongside Salah, Van Dijk, and Alexander-Arnold, Diaz is a key figure for the club’s ambitions of winning silverware in the future.

Losing any of these players next year would deal a significant blow to the project that Slot is building at Anfield.

Among all the players, Caoimhin Kelleher is the one most likely to be sold by the club next summer.

Liverpool target Premier League star as future replacement for key defender

    Milos Kerkez

Liverpool is reportedly interested in Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez as they prepare to replace Andy Robertson, according to Teamtalk. The Reds have made an impressive start this season, currently sitting just one point behind league leaders Manchester City.

In the Champions League, they have won all their matches so far, signaling a promising future under new manager Arne Slot, who believes the team can compete for major titles this season. However, Slot is concerned about the futures of several players at Anfield, as Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah, and Virgil Van Dijk are all in the final year of their contracts.

Slot is looking to reinforce his squad in key positions, particularly at left-back, where Robertson has struggled this season, notably in the recent match against Arsenal. The report suggests that the Premier League club sees Kerkez as a long-term replacement for the 30-year-old Robertson, whose best years may be behind him.

Milos Kerkez is willing to consider a transfer to LiverpoolMilos Kerkez

Bournemouth is aware that Kerkez is likely in his final season at the club and anticipates that a transfer to a larger English club will occur next year. Liverpool is expected to make a bid for the defender, seemingly leading the race for his signature.

Milos Kerkez is reportedly open to a move to Liverpool, viewing it as an ideal opportunity to advance his career. However, the Reds will face competition from Manchester United, who are also seeking cover for injury-prone players Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.

Recent comments from Slot suggest he may no longer prefer to start Robertson, with Kostas Tsimikas taking his place in the lineup. Additionally, there is speculation that Trent Alexander-Arnold could also leave the club.

Mohamed Salah netted twice as Liverpool came from behind to secure a 3-2 victory over Southampton, extending their lead at the top of the Premier League to eight points. Following the match, Liverpool manager Arne Slot praised Salah for his vital contribution.

Salah, whose contract expires at the end of the season and who has mentioned the absence of contract offers, remains an integral figure for Liverpool. Despite ongoing uncertainty about his future, the 32-year-old delivered once again in the match against Southampton.

After Liverpool trailed 2-1, Salah scored twice to give his team the victory. His first goal came after receiving a pass from Ryan Gravenberch and calmly finishing past goalkeeper Alex McCarthy. Salah then sealed the win with a penalty after Yukinari Sugawara handled the ball inside the box.

Following the match, Slot made a pointed remark about Salah’s importance to the team, emphasizing how crucial the forward is for Liverpool’s success.

“We always know we can trust him when things are difficult for us,” Slot remarked. “After we went 2-1 down, I didn’t really feel that that was the moment we would score.”

Arne Slot delivers strong message to Liverpool board regarding Mohamed Salah's contract

He continued, “It was a fantastic pass from Ryan Gravenberch, but the timing of the run and the finish was special. That really helped us back in the game, and we needed that goal to play the last 25 minutes that we played, because for me then it was only a matter of time until we scored.”

Slot expressed satisfaction with the overall performance, noting he was “really happy” with the result. He felt his side “dominated the whole game” and that being 2-1 down after an hour did not reflect the balance of play. “We’re really happy, especially because after an hour we were 2-1 down and maybe that wasn’t a reflection of how the first hour went,” Slot said.

He added, “I think we dominated the whole game, which is not that easy. I’ve seen many Southampton games where they have dominated the game. But if you’re 2-1 down after an hour, you’re maybe over the moon if you win 3-2.”

Slot also acknowledged the difficulty of maintaining their position at the top, explaining, “We know what we have to put into it to get the (eight-point) lead we have at the moment and to get these wins. There have been one or two games that were wins by a big margin, but the rest were small margins, so we know how difficult it is to win a game.”

Mohamed Salah has revealed that he has yet to receive a formal contract offer from Liverpool, expressing his “disappointment” at the lack of progress on a new deal. The forward, who scored twice in Liverpool’s 3-2 victory over Southampton on Sunday, helping the team extend their Premier League lead to eight points, hinted that he may be “more out than in” due to the ongoing contract stalemate.

Salah’s current deal, signed in late June 2022, is nearing its final six months, allowing him to negotiate with clubs outside England for a free transfer when the winter window opens on January 1. While discussions between Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas, and the club are reportedly ongoing, the Egypt captain, who is the highest-paid player in Liverpool’s history with a salary between £350,000 and £400,000, finds the negotiations complicated due to the club’s tightly managed wage structure.

As reported by the ECHO in September, Salah is eager to remain at Anfield for the next phase of his career, having scored 12 goals this season. He has dismissed any thoughts of retiring or moving to a less competitive league than the Premier League. However, in a rare interview about his situation, Salah confirmed that no formal offer has been made by Liverpool, despite his agent potentially receiving offers from clubs worldwide within a month.

“Well, we are almost in December and I haven’t received any offers yet to stay in the club, [so] I’m probably more out than in,” Salah admitted. “You know I have been in the club for many years. There is no club like this. But in the end, it is not in my hands. As I said before, it is December and I haven’t received anything yet about my future.”

Salah continued, “I love the fans. The fans love me. In the end, it is not in my hands or the fans’ hands. Let’s wait and see. Of course [no offer is disappointing], yeah.”

Despite the uncertainty, Salah remains focused on his football, stating, “I’m not going to retire soon, so I’m just playing, focusing on the season and I’m trying to win the Premier League and hopefully the Champions League as well. I’m disappointed but we will see.”

Salah emphasized his professionalism, saying, “I’m very professional. Everybody can see my work ethic. I’m just trying to enjoy my football and I will play at the top level as long as possible. I’m just doing my best because this is who I am and I try to give it all for myself and for the club. We will see what happens next.”

Liverpool’s owners, Fenway Sports Group, are generally hesitant to offer long-term deals to players in their 30s. Given that Salah will turn 33 before the start of next season, coupled with his status as the club’s highest earner, a swift agreement was never expected. However, both parties are reportedly keen to reach a resolution, with discussions between Abbas and the club described as positive and constructive.

In August 2023, Salah received an offer from Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad, but FSG president Mike Gordon rejected a bid worth up to £150 million. When asked about the possibility of moving to Saudi Arabia if no agreement is reached at Liverpool, Salah responded, “I don’t want to speak about that. I am focused with the team now.”

Salah reflected on the victory over Southampton, saying, “It is an important win. I’m glad that we managed to win the game because we were 2-1 down. The best thing is to win the game because the next game is against Manchester City. Hopefully, we keep winning.”

He added, “I’m just playing my game, trying to chill and relax and just play. The whole team has the chemistry now with the new manager (Arne Slot). Hopefully, we keep winning and win something in the end.”

After the win, Salah also spoke to Sky Sports, saying, “It’s great, hopefully we can keep going in the right direction. We have a game against them (Manchester City) coming up, hopefully we win so we can go more ahead like 11 points.”

Looking ahead to the Manchester City match, Salah noted, “Man City have had a bad time but they’re going to strike back, they have a great coach, great players. Hopefully, we can beat them to go further (ahead).”

Liverpool will face Real Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday, aiming to strengthen their position at the top of the group, before hosting Manchester City on Sunday.

UK media raves about 'stupendous' Liverpool player admired by Arne Slot

Liverpool rallied to defeat Brighton, thanks to impactful substitutions by Curtis Jones and Luis Diaz, as well as goals from Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah.

Anfield erupted just two minutes after Gakpo equalized, as Liverpool launched a rapid attack culminating in a signature finish from Salah.

The new Liverpool under Arne Slot showcases a more controlled approach, but this moment resembled a Jurgen Klopp-style counter-attack, with Jones and Diaz playing crucial roles. Jones advanced, executed a clever one-two with Diaz, and then set up Salah, who cut inside onto his left foot for the decisive strike.

“The second goal was a Mo Salah special!” Slot remarked to the BBC in his Match of the Day post-match interview. “It’s not the first and not the last time he will score from that position.”

Salah now ranks eighth on the Premier League’s all-time scoring list, surpassing Robbie Fowler. Fowler humorously commented on losing his position, saying, “I always liked number nine.”

The UK national media praised Salah’s performance, with The Times and the Sunday Mirror awarding him an 8/10 for his “superb” display, while The Guardian labeled his goal “stupendous.”

This season, Salah has made 16 goal contributions in 15 matches—nine goals and seven assists—averaging a goal or assist every 73 minutes. As he enters the final year of his contract, the need for an extension has become increasingly clear.

Liverpool.com notes that Salah is frequently mentioned among the greatest Liverpool players, but discussions about his contract should focus on his future potential rather than past achievements. His influence remains significant; when the team required a goal, he delivered.

At 32, Salah’s statistics remain impressive, underscoring his status as Liverpool’s most vital player. Slot is enjoying working with him, and losing such talent on a free transfer would be detrimental, especially when Salah wishes to stay. Replacing him will be nearly impossible when that time comes.

Liverpool presents proposal to secure pre-contract with defender earning £183,000 per week

    Alphonso Davies

Liverpool, with Michael Edwards at the helm, is undoubtedly already planning for the upcoming season. The Reds have a strong history of effective squad planning and will want to maintain that momentum.

A key strategy for future planning involves targeting players from other top clubs who are nearing the end of their contracts without having renewed. Liverpool is well aware of this, especially with their own trio—Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, and Mohamed Salah—in similar situations.

About a month ago, we reported that Liverpool expressed interest in Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies, who is currently earning around £183,000 a week and has just nine months left on his contract with the Bundesliga side.

According to Grizz Khan of 90min, Liverpool has made a pre-contract offer to Davies, should he decide to leave Bayern. The Canadian will be eligible to negotiate with foreign clubs starting January 1, 2025.

However, the report indicates that despite Liverpool’s keen interest, they are likely to lose out to Real Madrid. The Spanish giants have been pursuing Davies for some time, and when they set their sights on a player, they often succeed.

Liverpool has experienced similar disappointments in transfer battles with Madrid, such as with *Aurelien Tchouameni*. Although the Reds will strive to secure Davies, overcoming Real Madrid may prove challenging.

Still, football can be unpredictable, and until Davies officially signs elsewhere, anything is possible. Let’s see how this unfolds.

  • Liverpool monitoring Bryan Mbeumo and Antoine Semenyo for potential transfers

Liverpool monitoring Bryan Mbeumo and Antoine Semenyo for potential transfers

    Bryan Mbuemo

Mohamed Salah’s Liverpool contract is set to expire at the end of the season, prompting the club to scout alternatives in case he departs. Among the players under consideration are Antoine Semenyo, who has scored five goals this season, and Bryan Mbuemo, who has netted eight.

Brentford’s Mbuemo and Bournemouth’s Semenyo are being evaluated by Liverpool as the club looks at future targets for coach Arne Slot. With Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes leading the recruitment efforts, the team is focused on identifying potential talent, especially in positions that may require replacements in the next year.

Salah is one of three key players, alongside Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, whose contracts will end this season. While the futures of these players remain uncertain, Liverpool is wisely preparing for different scenarios.

This preparation might necessitate signing a new forward, and Semenyo is familiar to Hughes, who brought him to Bournemouth from Bristol City in 2023. The 24-year-old has made notable progress since Andoni Iraola became head coach, scoring five times in his last 14 Premier League appearances last season and adding four goals in ten games this season.

    Semenyo

Mbuemo, 25, has been even more prolific, with eight goals in nine matches. Liverpool has been monitoring him for some time, and both players possess qualities similar to Salah, particularly their versatility in attacking positions.

Sky Germany has reported that Stuttgart’s 25-year-old Egyptian forward Oumar Marmoush is also under consideration, though sources from Merseyside have stated he is not currently a target.

When asked about the contract situations of Salah, Alexander-Arnold, and Van Dijk, head coach Slot remained tight-lipped, indicating that discussions with the players are “ongoing.”

He stated, “For me, the contract situation could become a problem if the players don’t perform as well as they do at the moment. Of course, it’s not sure that, if they perform not as good anymore, it has anything to do with their contract situation.”

Slot noted, “At the moment, all three of them are in a good place, all of them perform really, really, really well, and there are ongoing discussions, as Virgil said, with the people he has to talk with, and that’s not me, as you know. I talk with him about other things.”

He concluded, “Let’s wait and see, but all that he said is completely right in that he doesn’t exactly know what the future will be as long as he doesn’t sign the contract yet.”

  • Liverpool receives intriguing proposal for Mohamed Salah’s transfer replacement

Liverpool receives intriguing proposal for Mohamed Salah’s transfer replacement

    Raphinha

Mohamed Salah’s Liverpool contract is set to expire next summer if the club cannot agree on an extension, leading to speculation about potential replacements. Jermaine Pennant has suggested Barcelona’s Raphinha as a candidate to fill Salah’s shoes if he leaves Liverpool.

Salah, along with teammates Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk, is facing the end of his contract next year. While Liverpool is eager to keep their star player, Salah hinted in September that this might be his last season with the team.

The 32-year-old is Liverpool’s leading scorer and assist provider this season, contributing to 15 goals, which is eight more than his closest teammate, Luis Diaz. Replacing Salah will be a significant challenge, as he has scored 219 goals in 362 matches since joining Anfield, a legacy few can match.

Pennant has unexpectedly proposed Raphinha, formerly of Leeds United, as a suitable replacement. The Brazilian attracted interest from Arsenal and Chelsea before moving to Barcelona.

Although Raphinha has scored 10 goals this season, his overall tally of 30 goals in 101 appearances pales in comparison to Salah’s output. However, it’s worth noting that Salah did not reach his current scoring rate before his £34.3 million transfer to Liverpool.

    Raphinha

Pennant remarked, “If Mohamed Salah does leave, I can see Raphinha making a return to the Premier League in a Liverpool shirt to replace him. He’s quick and fits that same style of play on the right-hand side and cutting in. He’s very tricky, and that’s what Liverpool have now with Luis Díaz and Salah.”

He added, “He’s got that eye for goal which we’ve seen from him at Barcelona where he’s doing really well – scoring hat-tricks against the likes of Bayern Munich and playing a big part in their recent 4-0 El Clásico win against Real Madrid.

His experience at Leeds would make him a good fit at Liverpool – he’s comfortable in the Premier League and managed to make an impact and score goals there despite them struggling as a team. You’d imagine that a team like Liverpool would step him up a level with how attacking they are.”

Earlier this month, Liverpool boss Arne Slot expressed frustration with repeated inquiries about Salah’s future, stating, “It’s the same boring answer as always. I could really understand if you ask me this once every two weeks, but if you ask me this after two or three days again, then you still get the same answer and people feel that I’m boring them!”

Arne Slot confronts Mohamed Salah dilemma as Liverpool plans significant changes

Arne Slot confronts Mohamed Salah dilemma as Liverpool plans significant changes.

Liverpool will next face Brighton in the League Cup, presenting coach Arne Slot with some selection dilemmas.

Following a hard-fought 2-2 draw at Arsenal on Sunday, where Mohamed Salah netted a late equalizer after Virgil van Dijk had previously leveled, Liverpool remains in second place, four points clear of the third-placed Gunners.

As they shift focus to the League Cup on Wednesday evening, Liverpool aims to defend the trophy they won against Chelsea at Wembley last February.

    Jaros question

Slot is expected to make several changes for the upcoming match due to the League Cup being a lower priority for the team.

One area of interest will be the goalkeeper position, as Caoimhin Kelleher has been filling in for the injured Alisson Becker. Vitezslav Jaros, who made his debut recently, is another option.

The defense may depend on the fitness of Conor Bradley, who has been out for three games. If available, he is likely to start at right-back, allowing Trent Alexander-Arnold to rest.

This would enable Joe Gomez to partner Jarell Quansah in central defense, having previously replaced Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate in the win over West Ham. Kostas Tsimikas is expected to take over from Andy Robertson at left-back, as they have been alternating throughout the season.

    No. 10 poser

In midfield, Wataru Endo, who played in the final minutes against Arsenal, is set to make only his second start this season as one of the two defensive midfielders.

The choice of his partner is critical, as Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister likely need a break. Curtis Jones has performed well in the position when called upon, while Tyler Morton is eager for more first-team action after a brief appearance against West Ham.

If Morton plays, it would allow Jones to move into a number 10 role, though Dominik Szoboszlai, who was a substitute at the Emirates, could also be a fresh option.

Harvey Elliott has not played since early September due to a fractured foot, and 17-year-old Trey Nyoni might be on the bench, with fellow Academy player James McConnell still injured.

    M.Salah to start

Arne Slot confronts Mohamed Salah dilemma as Liverpool plans significant changes.

The most significant challenge for Slot may be in attack. Federico Chiesa hopes to return and could take the right flank, but Liverpool might have to rely on Mohamed Salah for just his fifth League Cup start for the club. Szoboszlai could also be positioned on the right depending on midfield requirements.

With Diogo Jota unavailable, Darwin Nunez may need to start in the center for a fourth consecutive match unless Slot opts to use both Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz, with Diaz potentially playing as the central striker. Otherwise, Gakpo is likely to start on the left ahead of Diaz.

Mohamed Salah delivers strong message to Liverpool after Arne Slot’s comment raises a key question

Mohamed Salah proved to be Liverpool

Mohamed Salah proved to be Liverpool’s hero once again as Arne Slot’s team secured a point against Arsenal, highlighting his ongoing significance for the club.

Following Liverpool’s 3-0 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford, Salah broke from his usual silence regarding contract discussions, stating that no one had approached him about a new deal at Anfield. This was a rare moment for Salah, who typically avoids post-match interviews, letting his performance speak for itself. Against Arsenal, he did just that.

By scoring after being set up by Darwin Nunez, Salah not only helped his team return to Merseyside with a crucial point but also tied with Robbie Fowler for eighth place on the all-time Premier League scoring list at 163 goals. By the end of the 2024/25 season, he could surpass Frank Lampard and Thierry Henry.

Additionally, Salah is now just one goal shy of Roberto Firmino’s Liverpool club record of 11 league goals against Arsenal. It’s a common occurrence for Salah to break records or set new statistics in nearly every match he plays.

“But that’s not only all,” Arne Slot remarked in his post-match press conference. “It’s also that he’s available for us. Top players are always present and perform in critical games. Today was significant for us, just like last week against Chelsea, where he contributed a goal and an assist. Having such quality players is essential for a big club like ours and Arsenal’s, as their absence makes achieving results challenging.”

While Salah didn’t comment on his contract situation after the match, he once again stepped up when it mattered most, showcasing his role as Liverpool’s talisman. His contributions are clearly valued by Slot.

This season, Salah boasts eight goals and seven assists in 13 appearances, leading Liverpool in both categories. If these statistics don’t warrant a contract extension, what would?

Liverpool likely to proceed with signing £54.4 million star in top form – Report

    Georgiy Sudakov

Arne Slot has made few changes at Liverpool since taking over as manager from Jurgen Klopp, but he has adjusted the tactics. Notably, the team is now utilizing a 4-2-3-1 formation with a No. 10 role.

Slot has been positioning Dominik Szoboszlai in the CAM role, with Curtis Jones also available for this spot, indicating a desire to enhance depth in that area.

Caught Offside reports that Liverpool has shown interest in Shakhtar Donetsk’s Georgiy Sudakov and has been closely monitoring his performances for some time.

Scouts attended recent matches against LNZ Cherkasy and Veres Rivne, where Sudakov scored four goals and provided an assist in a 5-1 victory over Cherkasy.

Impressed by the 22-year-old’s performance, Caught Offside suggests Liverpool may move forward with a bid for the midfielder. A previous report from Spain noted that Sudakov’s value is around £29m[€35m]. However, securing him may be costly, as Caught Offside claims Shakhtar is seeking approximately £54.4m[€65m].

The report states that Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, and Newcastle United are also exploring the possibility of acquiring the Ukrainian player, meaning Liverpool will encounter strong competition for any potential deal.

Sudakov plays as a No.10 and has had a strong beginning to this season, contributing to nine goals in eight league matches.

He has become a regular starter for Ukraine and assisted in the winning goal against Georgia in the Nations League during the recent international break.

Curtis Jones asserts that an 'incredible' former Liverpool player surpassed Mo Salah in skill.

Liverpool fans have had the privilege of watching remarkable players in recent seasons. Under Jurgen Klopp, the Reds built a team that triumphed in England, Europe, and globally. Some members of that iconic Liverpool squad, like Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, have become legends at Anfield.

However, over the past few years, other Klopp-era legends have gradually departed. This trend may accelerate at the end of the current season, as Salah, Van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold will all see their contracts expire.

Among these players, Salah’s legacy stands out. Nonetheless, Curtis Jones claims the Egyptian isn’t the top player from Klopp’s trophy-winning side.

    Curtis Jones praises Roberto Firmino

Curtis Jones asserts that an 'incredible' former Liverpool player surpassed Mo Salah in skill.

Jones, who has progressed through the Liverpool ranks, has been fortunate to learn from exceptional players. Though he was too young to fully participate in Klopp’s peak years, he was still involved.

Making his first-team debut in early 2019 and becoming a regular about 18 months later, Jones had the opportunity to play alongside some great talents. Sky Sports recently conducted a poll asking fans whom they thought Jones would name as the best player he’s played with at Liverpool.

“I think they’re saying Mo, one,” Jones remarked, with the presenter confirming that Salah had indeed won ‘by a landslide.’ “In terms of your goals, your assists, probably one of the best in the world since he’s come to our club for things like that,” he added.

However, Jones corrected the fans, declaring Roberto Firmino as his top former teammate. “The best player in my opinion that I was just like, wow, amazed by every single day is Firmino,” he stated. “Firmino’s a man that if you understand the game and you’re in love with the actual game… if you really love the game and you want to see a man who really understands the game and brings everybody into play then he’s the best.”

Virgil van Dijk concurs with Curtis Jones about Firmino

Curtis Jones asserts that an 'incredible' former Liverpool player surpassed Mo Salah in skill.

This revelation might surprise those who voted in the poll, where Firmino came in third. However, it shouldn’t be unexpected for keen observers. Back in April 2024, Van Dijk also named Firmino as the best player he’d witnessed at Liverpool.

“I think Bobby Firmino has been a big figure in the success we had over the last years,” the captain told Gary Lineker. “He kept those two next to him [Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah], who are outstanding and maybe one of the best wingers in Premier League history, kept them together.”

Bobby Firmino is undoubtedly one of the best in the world and a true Liverpool legend.

Mohamed Salah implements a new guideline for three Liverpool teammates following a summer signing.

Mohamed Salah has set a high standard

Mohamed Salah has set a high standard at Liverpool since his transfer from AS Roma in 2017, and now he appears to be establishing some guidelines at the AXA Training Centre.

Curtis Jones has shared that Salah has introduced a new rule for regular visitors to Liverpool’s coffee bar at the training facility. Jones frequently visits the new station, often accompanied by Kostas Tsimikas, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Salah himself.

Jones noted that Salah has implemented some basic rules for those wanting to join the coffee club at the AXA Centre. “We’ve got this thing that we’re not allowed our phones when we’re there having coffee,” Jones explained to LFCTV. “It’s Mo [Salah] who has brought in the rule.

“If we’re inside there and I’m on the phone then Mo will tell Dom; ‘Text him and tell him that we’re here and want to have a conversation with him.’ In other words; ‘Get off your phone!’”

The time spent bonding over coffee seems to be beneficial for Liverpool, as they currently lead the Premier League and are second in the revamped Champions League after their 1-0 victory against RB Leipzig.

Next, the Reds face title rivals Arsenal on Sunday, with coach Arne Slot aware that a win in North London could put his team seven points ahead of the Gunners. Salah is expected to start that match and continues to be a crucial player for Liverpool, despite some uncertainties regarding his future with only a few months left on his contract.

Salah, now 32, has scored 218 goals in 361 appearances since joining Liverpool from AS Roma.

Replacement for Mohamed Salah found as Liverpool contract speculation arises

Replacement for Mohamed Salah found as Liverpool contract speculation arises.

Mohamed Salah may leave Liverpool for free at the season’s end, and former Reds midfielder Dietmar Hamann believes Omar Marmoush should be signed as his replacement.

Salah is in the final year of his contract, leaving uncertainty about whether he will extend his stay or depart. Hamann has endorsed Salah’s fellow countryman, Marmoush, as a suitable successor.

Currently playing in the Bundesliga for Eintracht Frankfurt, Marmoush has netted 10 goals in 10 appearances this season. When asked about the 25-year-old’s potential in the Premier League, Hamann stated to wettbasis, “Yes, absolutely.

“I think that both Frankfurt strikers (Marmoush and Hugo Ekitike) are on the radar of the English. A wonderful couple that harmonise very well with each other. With Ekitike, we knew that he had great potential.

“He had indicated that last season, in the winter, and now he seems to be taking off. With Marmoush, I was always surprised at Wolfsburg that he didn’t really get going. But he’s a wonderful player, a great finisher, and has pace.

“So they’re both players who are obviously very interesting for the Premier League. It will be difficult to follow Salah. I don’t think he has missed ten games in eight or nine years. So it will be difficult to follow him, but I would trust Marmoush to do it.”

Hamann’s comments come after former Liverpool teammate Jamie Carragher expressed hope that Salah will sign a new contract to secure his legacy by breaking records. Currently tied for ninth on the all-time Premier League goalscorers list with Jermain Defoe, Carragher believes Salah will aim to climb higher.
