Liverpool open to discussions to acquire Chelsea underperformer for €35 million.

The 23-year-old Ukrainian international has struggled to meet expectations since his transfer to Stamford Bridge and has faced criticism for his performances.

A fresh start away from Chelsea could benefit the winger, and Liverpool appears to be a potential destination for him soon.

According to Fichajes, Liverpool is exploring options to replace Mohamed Salah and is monitoring the Chelsea winger. The report indicates that Liverpool is prepared to negotiate a deal for the Ukrainian at around €35 million, with the total package possibly reaching €50 million, though it’s uncertain if an agreement will be reached.

This potential move would be surprising, considering Mudryk’s performance for Chelsea, where he has scored seven goals in 64 appearances. Salah has been an elite player for Liverpool, and substituting him with the Chelsea player would seem illogical for the club.

Additionally, the signing is likely to be unpopular with fans.

Chelsea aims to part ways with Mykhailo Mudryk

Liverpool open to discussions to acquire Chelsea underperformer for €35 million.

The Blues invested €100 million in the player and are fully aware that selling him would likely mean accepting a significant loss. Recovering €50 million for him could be a reasonable option as they seek to minimize their losses.

Chelsea can reinvest the funds from his sale into their squad.

It will be intriguing to see how this situation unfolds in the coming months. Salah is among the best players globally, and Liverpool will need to find a suitable replacement. It seems improbable that Mudryk could adequately fill the gap left by him.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has outlined his demands to Real Madrid for leaving Liverpool

Once, the idea of Trent Alexander-Arnold leaving Liverpool seemed almost impossible

Once, the idea of Trent Alexander-Arnold leaving Liverpool seemed almost impossible. Now, with his contract ending this season, the right-back faces an uncertain future.

At 25, he has under 10 months remaining on his deal, which earns him £180,000 per week according to Spotrac. If a contract extension isn’t reached, he will become a free agent at the season’s end and can negotiate with clubs outside England starting in January.

Real Madrid, managed by Carlo Ancelotti, is reportedly interested in acquiring him. The club consistently seeks top talent and is in the process of assembling what many consider the best squad in football.

With stars like Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo, Kylian Mbappe, and likely future Ballon d’Or winner Vini Jr, Madrid boasts a formidable attack. However, president Florentino Perez aims to strengthen the defense, and Alexander-Arnold is a prime target.

Attracting him from Liverpool won’t be straightforward due to his strong ties with the club. Nevertheless, a recent report from Fichajes states that the England international has conveyed his terms to the La Liga side.

His first condition is a substantial salary increase, which Real Madrid could accommodate, as 11 players at the club currently earn more than he does at Liverpool (Capology). The second condition is to join a trophy-winning team—a request Madrid can easily fulfill, having won three major titles last season, including the Champions League.

With no signs of waning, Madrid continues to solidify its status as Europe’s premier club.

Ivan Toney’s actions during Brentford’s comeback sent a very clear message to Arsenal and Chelsea regarding transfers.

In a Tuesday friendly game between Brentford and a select group of fans, Ivan Toney made his long-awaited comeback to football. The England forward’s last game was on May 6 against Liverpool, and his eight-month suspension for betting offenses started the following week.

With the 27-year-old’s lengthy suspension set to end in the middle of that month, both Arsenal and Chelsea have been heavily linked with a move for him during the January transfer window.
Toney was forced to train alone over the summer and during the first few weeks of the season, but he is now back with his Bees teammates for team workouts.

On Tuesday, October 3, he lined up for Brentford against Italian team Como, progressing his football comeback even further.
According to the official website of Brentford, Toney played 61 minutes and scored in the contest after seizing a cross-field pass, swiping the ball past the goalkeeper, and firing into an open goal.

Toney has shown that, despite the relatively easy goal, he hasn’t lost his goal-scoring touch despite being off the field for five months.
Thomas Frank, the manager of Brentford, recently spoke about his future and hinted that there was a real possibility he might leave if the money was considered to be worth it.

Chelsea news and transfers LIVE - Eden Hazard comeback, Mudryk latest, Messi twist, Chilwell update.

After Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk scored against Fulham, Mauricio Pochettino provided an update on his condition.

After scoring the opening goal for the Blues, Mykhailo Mudryk was taken off the field at halftime of Chelsea’s match against Fulham. The Ukrainian international, who joined Chelsea in the January transfer window from Shakhtar Donetsk, had been waiting for his team to play him in a competitive game until the 2-0 victory over Fulham.

In the 18th minute, Mudryk pounced on a behind-the-back pass from Levi Colwill, expertly chested the ball, and then used his left foot’s weakness to pierce the legs of the charging Bernd Leno. Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo celebrated the opening goal in style as Mudryk’s expression of relief could be seen after the ball slid into the goal.

Soon after, Armando Broja doubled the lead with his first goal in almost a year after blocking a clearance attempt by Tim Ream and sending the ball into the goal. Chelsea then put on a polished performance to secure the victory and preserve its perfect record.

However, there are some worries following the game, particularly with regard to Mudryk.
At halftime, Mauricio Pochettino decided to replace him with Ian Maatsen after a strong first 45 minutes.
At first, it wasn’t exactly clear if there had been an injury or not, but after the outcome, Pochettino explained what the problem was that had him taken off the field.

Ben Chilwell, a left-back for Chelsea, is anticipated to miss until mid-December.
London comprehends. The Blues star missed last night’s 2-0 away victory over Fulham due to a hamstring injury he sustained against Brighton in midweek.

It is a further setback for Mauricio Pochettino’s team as they try to gain confidence ahead of a brutal stretch of Premier League games while playing without their captain and vice-captain, who are both out due to injury.

Following a double injury scare, Mauricio Pochettino provides an update.

After Armando Broja and Mykhaylo Mudryk were compelled to leave the field, Mauricio Pochettino provided Chelsea supporters with an update to allay their concerns.

On Monday night, the Blues defeated Fulham away from home in what was arguably their best performance of the year.

At Craven Cottage, they got off to a quick start and quickly took the lead thanks to Mudryk’s first Premier League goal since joining the team in January.

Moments later, Broja, who had been on the bench for a while, doubled that advantage by scoring on a fortunate deflection.

However, with both goal scorers being forced off the field due to injuries, Chelsea supporters feared the worst as they imagined two more names being added to their long list of injuries.

Fortunately, Pochettino provided an encouraging update following the game, stating that he hoped both players would be available for this weekend’s match against Burnley.

For offensive players, scoring a goal is crucial.
    Mudryk was doing well.
Unfortunately, he felt something in his quad at halftime, but hopefully it’s not a major problem and he will be ready for the weekend.
“, he said to Sky Sports.

The extent of Moises Caicedo’s injury is still unknown, but he too hobbled off the field in the closing seconds.

    “It was an injury.
He was exhausted, so let’s hope it’s nothing serious.
    “, stated Pochettino.

In January, Chelsea wants to improve its offensive capabilities.

According to sources, Chelsea management is keeping a close eye on an up-and-coming star and may try to sign the forward to Stamford Bridge in an effort to solve their goal-scoring problems.

What is the most recent Chelsea news?
The Evening Standard reports that Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Chelsea, has admitted that he had little to do with the decision of whether to keep defender Marc Cucurella at Stamford Bridge after the Spaniard’s late transfer to Manchester United fell through on Deadline Day.

“I don’t know,” said Pochettino, “since I wasn’t involved in this issue; that was more the responsibility of the club, the [player’s] agent, and the sporting director. We were conversing in my office after the transfer window closed. We were very clear about my opinion of him and how I judge him, and I was attentive to his sentiments. Of course, after he arrived from Brighton, it was a trying period for him. It was difficult for many, many players in addition to him.

Monday night’s Premier League match between Chelsea and their neighbours Fulham will be played in their new front-of-shirt sponsor Infinite Athlete for the first time this season. According to BBC Sport, Chelsea and the US-based sports technology company have agreed to a deal that will earn them more than £40 million in 2023–24.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano provided an update on the situation of Chelsea prospect Andrey Santos, who is now on loan at Nottingham Forest, on social media platform X. He said: “Andrey Santos played zero minutes once more in Nottingham Forest-Brentford, sitting on the sidelines for 99 minutes. After making more than ten loan requests over the summer, he transferred from Chelsea to the club in August.

According to Transfermarkt, Santos, a member of Brazil’s Under-23 national team, has only appeared once while on loan at Tricky Trees, playing the full 90 minutes in Nottingham Forest’s Carabao Cup second-round loss to Burnley in late August.

Chelsea will add who in 2024?

According to sources, Chelsea management is keeping a close eye on an up-and-coming star and may try to sign the forward to Stamford

Simon Adingra, a Brighton & Hove Albion player, is being closely watched by Stamford Bridge officials, who are reportedly impressed by his impressive start to the new season.

The Blues are considering a move for the Ivory Coast international to add another attacking option and to compete with Nicolas Jackson. Adingra has been dubbed the “ideal” solution to Pochettino’s lack of cutting edge in attack. The 21-year-old has been added to Todd Boehly and company’s transfer wishlist because they specifically want players under the age of 25.

According to Transfermarkt, the Ivorian forward has appeared seven times for the Seagulls in all competitions this season, recording one goal and one assist.

Brighton technical director David Weir gave the Right to Dream academy alum high praise when he arrived from FC Nordsjaelland in 2022, saying: “We’re happy to welcome Simon to the club. He is a talented young footballer who is off to a great start in Denmark. He is a versatile offensive player who excels in one-on-one matchups and is inventive offensively. We’ve been keeping an eye on this outstanding young player for a long, and we’re excited to support his growth.

Adingra has excelled in the area of interceptions in comparison to his positional peers in Europe’s top five leagues by working hard off the ball. Over the past 365 days, he averaged about 1.19 interceptions per 90 minutes, placing him in the 99th percentile for this metric according to FBRef, demonstrating his hard work when pressing from the front.

Adingra would bring a lot of distinctive talents to Pochettino’s forward line, which is developing a reputation as a breeding ground for young talent thanks to Chelsea.

Both Armando Broja and Mauricio Pochettino concur that the 20-year-old Chelsea player made a brilliant play against Fulham.

One of many notable pluses was Levi Colwill’s outstanding assist in Chelsea’s 2-0 victory over Fulham last night.

In their 2-0 away win over rival Fulham on Friday at Craven Cottage, the Blues were clearly the superior team.

The team improved to 11th place in the Premier League thanks to goals from Mykhailo Mudryk and Armando Broja in the first half.

The confidence gained from defeating Brighton in the Carabao Cup the previous week carried over to the Premier League for Mauricio Pochettino’s team.

Both Mykhailo Mudryk and Armando Broja scored in the first half to give their team three Premier League points, moving them up to 11th in the standings.

The momentum from their victory over Brighton in the Carabao Cup the previous week carried over to the Premier League for Mauricio Pochettino’s team.

With his own performance on Friday, Levi Colwill ought to be extremely pleased.

The 20-year-old adaptable defender, who once again got the start at left-back, produced an incredible assist for Mudryk’s opening goal with his chipped through ball on his powerful left foot.

Both Armando Broja and Mauricio Pochettino concur that the 20-year-old Chelsea player made a brilliant play against Fulham.

Pochettino, the head coach of the Blues, and striker Broja both praised the Colwill pass during post-game interviews that were broadcast on Chelsea’s YouTube channel.

Regarding the opening goal, Pochettino said: “Amazing assist [from Colwill] and very good finish.

“It’s good when we get that early goal,” said Broja. Levi threw a fantastic pass to Mudryk, who then scored.”

Cole Palmer, an attacking player for the Blues, gave Colwill praise last night on Instagram for his first-half assist.

Whether the young player plays left back or center back, it appears that his position in this starting XI is currently set.

We anticipate his performance to keep getting better throughout his first season with the Blues first team because he is starting to appear more and more at ease in this group with each passing week.

Without a doubt, his passing range can be a very useful tool for Pochettino’s team as they move forward.

    Constructed by Cobham.

As Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital continue their massive investment drive, Chelsea’s new owners intend to renovate and improve more areas of the club in the upcoming months.
Over £1 billion has already been spent on new players in the transfer market, and they are looking for additional outside revenue.

This week, it was reported that they would receive about £400 million from the US investment firm Arses Management in an effort to grow the club on all fronts.
The American owners have promised to invest an additional £1.75 billion in facilities for the academy, women’s team, and men’s team, and they don’t appear to be slowing down.

    In place of Caicedo.

Chelsea’s midfield has been severely impacted by the loss of Moises Caicedo, and they must anxiously wait to find out if he will be ready to play against Aston Villa on Sunday.
The Blues, who completely redesigned their midfield over the summer by bringing in three new players, have once again primarily relied on Enzo Fernandez to do the creating, progressing, and moving within the team.

Five games into the season, he has participated in nearly one-quarter of the team’s progressive passes and has even been used further forward to try to develop other aspects of his game.
Despite some outstanding performances, eight months into his tenure at the club, it seems he has not yet been consistently used in his best role.

Reece James posted a mysterious injury update after Chelsea gave the most recent information on his recovery when they announced who was healthy enough to face Aston Villa.
James, Christopher Nkunku, and Moises Caicedo are at the top of a lengthy injury list for the Blues that totals more than ten.

James was listed as “continuing to undergo his rehabilitation program” in the injury update posted to Chelsea’s official website. After a formal update and the most recent from Pochettino, James appears to have posted a social media injury update.

    Mudryk’s letter to Pochettino.

Mykhailo Mudryk, a star for Chelsea, will be hoping for a second straight start this weekend against Aston Villa under Mauricio Pochettino. The goalless draw with Bournemouth last weekend saw the Ukraine international start, but he struggled to have a significant impact and was eventually taken off after 60 minutes.

Mudryk could have left the game with two assists after setting up Nicolas Jackson and Conor Gallagher with easy chances on another day, if his team’s finishing had been up to par.
Pochettino’s remarks didn’t seem to help matters, and Mudryk’s early substitute changed the narrative surrounding his performance.

The Chelsea manager noted after the game that “he is improving.”.
He still has a lot to learn because the Premier League moves at such a breakneck pace.
It’s important, in my opinion, to have a better understanding of the game and occasionally try to connect with the team more.
For him to get better throughout the season, we must give him the tools and the time.

Although his mental state and the team’s morale appeared to be much better in training this week, Mudryk has continued to work hard at Cobham in the hopes of getting another chance to impress. With the Aston Villa match rapidly approaching, Mudryk has returned to social media to demonstrate to Pochettino what he can bring to his team if given the chance.

    Next Eden Hazard hope

Josh Brooking was the star of the show last night, despite Chelsea’s under-21 team’s Brazilian wonderkid Deivid Washington’s goal.

The 21-year-old picked up the ball in his own half as the game was tied going into the final minutes and went on a strong solo run that put him inside the penalty area.
He then cut back outside of a Man City defender and finished with skill.

The goal was fantastic, and it reminded me a lot of Eden Hazard’s incredible goal against Arsenal in 2017.

Although Brooking naturally plays defense, his run and finish, combined with his precise assist for Washington, seemed to show otherwise.
While it is obvious that he is a defender, that jinking run demonstrates his superior ability to play further forward, with the possibility of playing at wing-back to fully utilize all of his strengths, at least on the table.

    Wonderkid message to pochettino

The Blues signed a number of young players this past summer, including the Brazilian wonderkid Deivid Washington. The 18-year-old made his Chelsea debut on Friday night with the under-21 team against Manchester City after sitting out the previous two Premier League games.

Washington started the move by passing the ball out wide to Josh Brooking.
Eight minutes after Man City took the lead, Washington swept home an equalizer from close range.

Washington may still only be a teenager, but this early sign suggests that he might be the team’s long-term solution to its goal scoring woes.

The 22-year-old could play for the Blues this weekend if he returns from injury.

Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk has announced he is back in training after picking up a minor injury ahead of the Blues’ game against Luton Town last weekend.

The 22-year-old was criticized for his poor performances in Chelsea’s first two games of the season against Liverpool and West Ham, failing to make a huge impact in either game.

However, he was ruled out of the Luton game with a training injury and Pochettino admitted he was disappointed Mudryk missed the game against the Hatters.

“I think he might need a few days to recover,” Pochettino said. “He won’t be available. Very disappointed with the situation, he played against West Ham for 45 minutes.

“He is a player we hope to help play the way he thinks he can. Disappointed, but at the same time it’s not a big deal. Maybe a week or a few days.”

Mudryk also missed AFC Wimbledon in the Blues’ 2-1 win in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night, as the Ukraine international was left out of the match-day squad.

But the star is on his way back, having shared on his Instagram story a photo of him and teammate Malo Gusto in training and sharing a hug. He finally tagged the France international with a blue heart emoji, with Mudryk captioning the post: “Happy to be back.” He could be part of Pochettino’s squad when the Blues play Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Chelsea have agreed a £40m deal plus £5m in add-ons for Manchester City winger Cole Palmer.

The 21-year-old has already agreed to move to Stamford Bridge. Personal appointments should be a formality and a doctor’s appointment is currently being arranged.

A £35million offer from the Blues was rejected earlier on Wednesday but quickly returned to the negotiating table to broker a deal for the striker, who was on the sidelines in Pep Guardiola’s squad.

Former City scout Joe Shields, who is now co-director of recruitment and talent, played a key role in securing the deal. Palmer struggled to establish himself at the Etihad Stadium and was an unused substitute in the treble winner’s last two games, despite his goal in a Super Cup win in early August.

He is still highly regarded for playing an integral part in England’s victory in the Under-21 European Championship this summer.

The move will see Chelsea’s summer spending exceed £400m and over £1bn for the three transfer windows since the Boehly-Clearlake takeover.

Palmer’s arrival will be Chelsea’s latest outlay, with player sales topping the agenda until the 11pm deadline on Friday.

The transfer of Romelu Lukaku to Roma should take place shortly, while negotiations are still underway for the permanent transfer of Callum Hudson-Odoi to Nottingham Forest. Ian Maatsen, Conor Gallagher and Trevoh Chalobah still face an uncertain future. Maatsen is interested in a permanent contract with both West Ham and Burnley, while Chalobah is in the sights of Bayern Munich.

Tottenham continue to monitor Gallagher’s availability, having previously had the option to sign him.

Chelsea owners sent angry message after controversial £65m deal
Chelsea news: Strasbourg fans continued their protests over BlueCo’s £65m takeover of the club in Sunday’s 2-0 win over Toulouse

Chelsea’s takeover of Ligue 1 club Strasbourg continues to anger the club’s supporters. The company that owns Les Bleus took a first step in building a multi-club network with the takeover of the French club in June.

BlueCo, made up of Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital, invested in a stake in Strasbourg at the start of the summer to acquire almost 100% of the club. BlueCo paid around £65million for their participation and the Ligue 1 outfit are in their first season under new ownership.

Former Arsenal midfielder Patrick Vieira was appointed as head coach shortly after taking over, before Brazilian wonderkid Angelo Gabriel was loaned to the club for a season after signing from Chelsea earlier this summer.
It’s a decision that has fans worried.
Strasbourg Ultras expressed their dissatisfaction with Boehly & Co.’s involvement in the club by demonstrating in late June. A message appeared on the Internet saying “Boehly is not welcome”.

Well, in Sunday’s 2-0 Ligue 1 win over Toulouse, Strasbourg fans once again made their feelings clear and protested against the multi-club model. A banner in the stands read “No to timeshare”. Which translates to “No to multi-ownership”.

Chelsea co-owner Behdad Eghbali was present at the Stade de la Meinau to see Strasbourg rise to fifth in the Ligue 1 table thanks to goals from Emanuel Emegha and Jean-Richer Bellegarde. Strasbourg chairman Mark Keller has previously said Le Racing won’t just be a development area for Chelsea prodigies in an effort to allay grievances among supporters.

“It’s not the project,” he said in an interview with L \ ‘Equipe. “We had meetings with the sports management to define the objectives. We will have more resources to be more ambitious. Loïc Désiré (Strasbourg chief scout) will discuss the players we might be interested in, if any. You also have to want to come to us.

He’s close, but sometimes you’re close, but the last step is difficult after the injury he suffered. He trained well, we too have hope” .

‘That’s why we review the selection and all the things that happen. It’s easy to say we need another striker, but I think we have attacking players and we need to get them back.’ “When you sign a player who is unfit or needs to get used to the Premier League, you risk spending the same amount of time waiting for Broja, Nkunku or Carney. Then you will wreak havoc on the Premier League team. That is why we are working very hard to analyze the situation. »

Expected return date: Nottingham Forest (H) – September 2

What Nkunku said (August 15): “As you can imagine, I’m so disappointed that I couldn’t be with my teammates at the start of the season. It’s hard not to have succeeded. “I’ll meet you at the bridge. I will work hard to come back stronger. It’s just a matter of time.

Chelsea news: Mykhailo Mudryk was absent from Chelsea training on Wednesday but there has been a double wave of injuries since.

Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk was absent from training on Wednesday as the Blues step up their preparations for Friday night’s game against Luton Town.

The Ukraine international was on the bench against West Ham at the weekend and showed promising signs of living up to the hefty transfer fee attached to his move. There were times when the winger’s crosses went wide or were intercepted while his finishing attempts are still questionable.

After struggling last season following the January move, it was hoped the 22-year-old could return to his best form. Problems with a lack of fitness have created problems that could ideally be solved by a full pre-season, although he has yet to feature under Mauricio Pochettino.

His absence from training might come as a slight surprise as Sky Sports report he is among the players missing on Wednesday morning. It remains to be seen whether this is due to injury concerns, a precautionary measure or some other reason ahead of the third game of the season.

Pochettino is reinforced by two returnees who seem expected: striker Armando Broja and defender Benoit Badiashile. The former is coming back from an anterior cruciate ligament injury he suffered late last year which horribly ruled him out for the rest of the season.

The Cobham academy graduate is back in training, although he is unlikely to be back in action anytime soon after suffering such a serious injury. The head coach also hinted that Broja was thinking long-term, suggesting a new striker shouldn’t slow his development.

As for Badiashile, the defender impressed after his transfer in January but late-season injuries carried over into pre-season and he was sidelined for months. A return to training is also on the cards as the club have confirmed the centre-back will train with the ball on the pitch when he returns to form.

All in all, Pochettino is confident that the end of the light injury crisis will come to an end in the coming weeks, although doubts remain over Mudryk’s recent absence.

Chelsea spent over £300m in the summer transfer window after spending £600m on signings last season

Chelsea are set to confirm two transfers ahead of their next Premier League clash against Luton Town on Friday night. The Blues have already spent over £300m this summer, taking their total signing spend to over £900m in the past 12 months.

The Blues have already signed eight signings, including several young players, and Mauricio Pochettino are still waiting for at least a few more signings before the window closes, football.london reveal. Chelsea have picked up just one point from their opening two Premier League games but are hoping for drastic improvements from last season.

Several departures are still expected in the final stages of the transfer window, including Romelu Lukaku and Callum Hudson-Odoi, who are looking to leave Stamford Bridge on permanent contracts. The future of Trevoh Chalobah and Conor Gallagher remains uncertain ahead of the final nine days of the summer transfer window.

Chelsea are now expecting to sign goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic from the New England Revolution. The Blues reportedly agreed a deal with the MLS club on Monday, reportedly worth £12.5m plus a further £1.5m in surcharges.

    Petrovic
Petrovic will fly to England in the coming days to finalize his move to Chelsea. A medical is scheduled ahead of the Blues’ game against Luton Town on Friday. The 23-year-old keeper won’t be the only confirmed signing this week as Deivid Washington has already passed a medical and an announcement should be made “soon” according to Fabrizio Romano. The West London club are looking to add at least one more attacking option to their ranks before the transfer window closes. Pochettino wants a right winger who can also operate as number 10 through the centre, football.london understands this.

Mohammed Kudus and Rayan Cherki remain in Blues care, but other targets are under surveillance. A deal to sign Michael Olise from Crystal Palace collapsed last week.

    Aubameyang dig

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has moved to Chelsea as he congratulates Hakim Ziyech on his move to Galatasaray. The 30-year-old winger had an uncertain future in West London for a while before finally securing a move to the Turkish top flight.

Like the Morocco international, Aubameyang struggled to break into the first team at Stamford Bridge and spent much of the season on the bench before finding a new club in the summer. In his Instagram story, the Marseille ace wrote: \”All the best my brother. Free Hakim *crying laughter emoji* *clapping fist emoji* *heart hands emoji*. \”

Ziyech then reposted Aubameyang’s post to his Instagram story. Unsurprisingly, Chelsea fans have not been happy with the Gabonese international’s coup at the club and have been expressing their feelings online.

    Lukaku ‘agreement’

    Aubameyang dig
Asked if he could reinstate Romelu Lukaku in the Chelsea squad, Mauricio Pochettino replied: “It’s not just one team, it takes two teams to find the best solution. You can’t just put it on the club, it affects both sides.

“The situation is where it is because of both sides. Both sides have reached an agreement. Before signing, we were informed about each player’s situation,” added Pochettino. “After signing, we had the squad we had. It’s so clear that nothing has changed and if there’s anything to report, we’ll report it.

“We don’t have to do anything, I have to be focused on my team and try to do well. We can’t waste energy on a situation that was obvious before we arrived at Chelsea.”

    West Ham defeat

    Aubameyang dig
Chelsea suffered their first defeat of the 2023-24 Premier League season on Sunday at the hands of London rivals West Ham United. The Blues failed to capitalize on their dominance in the first half with Enzo Fernandez missing from the penalty spot. Michail Antonio and Lucas Paqueta scored after the break to give the Hammers all three points.

Carney Chukwuemeka, on the other hand, went off injured after an excellent performance with a goal, another blow for Pochettino.

The substitution of Carney Chukwuemeka for Mykhailo Mudryk, in the opinion of Ashley Cole, made life simpler for West Ham against Chelsea.

Following the completion of the 90 minutes, the 42-year-old made the remarks while discussing sports on Sky Sports.

    What’s going on?

The former Chelsea player thought that West Ham benefited from the substitution of the Ukrainian player for Carney Chukwuemeka after the England Under-21 player suffered an injury.

The 19-year-old scored Chelsea’s equalizer and appeared to be one of Pochettino’s most promising players before being taken off the field.

Cole thought things started to get a little bit too simple for West Ham at the halftime break when Mudryk replaced Chukwuemeka.

The Sky Sports analyst speculated: “Perhaps the substitution (Chukwuemeka off, Mudryk on) caused an issue. For West Ham, everything was then far too simple. “.

Make no mistake: Pochettino’s forced substitution of the forward earning £100,000 per week completely altered the nature of the match.

Despite the fact that West Ham are a very physical team, Mudryk stretched them and frequently delivered crosses into the box.

Chukwuemeka is a very different type of attacker than Mudryk because, as was already mentioned, he created issues inside of West Ham’s full-backs while the Ukrainian frequently ran on their outsides.

Without Chukwuemeka, the game changed drastically, so perhaps Pochettino needs to consider signing another inverted forward who can fill in for the England Under-21 international when he is absent.

Chelsea has a secret weapon to defeat Liverpool, and it is not Moisés Caicedo

When Liverpool and Chelsea square off in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, football.london examines how Chelsea
When Liverpool and Chelsea square off in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, football.london examines how Chelsea can take advantage of Liverpool’s defensive weaknesses.

The opening Premier League match between Chelsea and Liverpool, which was already quite intriguing, has become absolutely mouthwatering as a result of recent developments.

On Wednesday night, it was revealed that Chelsea had made a £48 million offer for Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia, who has already been the target of three offers from Liverpool. The significance of Chelsea’s proposal was being questioned by many. Was it done to force Brighton to sell Moises Caicedo, a top midfield target, or was there real interest in Lavia?

The competition to sign Caicedo has reportedly become even more heated as of Thursday morning, according to reports. This may help to explain Chelsea’s acquisition of Lavia. It can be very exhausting to try to keep up with the mind games that are going on before the Premier League opener.

Such behind-the-scenes activity has all but diminished Sunday’s important match between the two clubs. But this is how things are in the world of football today. Transfers are now frequently in the spotlight.

In his first competitive game as Chelsea’s head coach, Mauricio Pochettino will, however, devote all of his focus to finding a way to defeat Liverpool. The Argentine has faced Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp 11 times across all competitions, but he has only ever come out on top once.

The other four games, played under Klopp, resulted in draws.
Chelsea has a secret weapon to defeat Liverpool, and it is not Moisés Caicedo
Klopp has won six of those contests. Pochettino, who will be seeking just his second victory this weekend, is well aware of Liverpool’s defensive weaknesses, which remain from their underwhelming 2022–23 season.

    Liverpool’s defensive problem.

The German manager has survived by employing a high defensive line ever since being named Liverpool manager back in October 2015. The Reds boss has stood by it even in the worst of times, though it has frequently proven to be successful.

It enables the team as a whole to move up the field and use Klopp’s infamous “Gegenpress” system, in which his team attempts to suffocate the opposition with an intense and relentless press. Liverpool’s defense can frequently become exposed if that press is broken, though.

This (shown in the image below) is just one instance of how the Reds’ defense has been abused. The German team actually broke the initial press, played it out to the right wing, and looked over the top during their final preseason match against Darmstadt on Monday night.

The deepest defenders for Liverpool were Ibrahima Konate and Andy Robertson after Virgil van Dijk went tight to an attacker on the halfway line. Attacker Mathias Honsak of Darmstadt then discovered space between Konate and Robertson, stayed in his own half, and ran through before putting the ball past Alisson.

How Chelsea can profit from Liverpool’s weaknesses.

Chelsea has a secret weapon to defeat Liverpool, and it is not Moisés Caicedo
In the January transfer window, Chelsea acquired Mykhailo Mudryk for nearly £90 million and Noni Madueke for about £35 million. Due to a minor hamstring issue, Madueke hasn’t had much preseason practice, but Mudryk has been preparing well for what will be a big season for the international from Ukraine.

With all the space the Liverpool back line will inevitably leave behind them, Mudryk could have a lot of fun playing against them. Mudryk, who wants to succeed at the Bridge, would be the ideal candidate to launch a counterattack, which could be extremely important.

Similarly, Nicolas Jackson, who cost about £30 million to sign with the team earlier this summer, has already made it abundantly clear to his teammates that he wants the ball passed over the top to him so he can enter the play from behind. Jackson had a fantastic preseason and displayed his all-around talent, but he has a knack for playing on the last defender’s shoulder and snatching up errant passes.

On Sunday, either of these attackers could pose serious difficulties for Liverpool. The rest of the team must attempt to withstand what is anticipated to be a ferocious press from the opponents at Stamford Bridge.
