Liverpool Transfer Update: ‘Work Begins’ on $75m Deal and New Rayan Cherki Link Surfaces

    Joao Pedro

Liverpool is performing strongly in both the Premier League and the Champions League, but this success could make the prospect of adding new players even more appealing to further strengthen the squad.

Although Arne Slot is pleased with his team’s current performance, there are still areas where extra depth could be beneficial. A potential issue could arise if something were to happen to Ryan Gravenberch, for example, which would leave a gap.

Here’s a look at the latest transfer rumors surrounding Liverpool. We begin with news of scouts being sent to France to scout a possible target for 2025.

    Rayan Cherki (Lyon)
Liverpool has reportedly had scouts observe Lyon’s Rayan Cherki this season, according to Fabrizio Romano. The talented playmaker has attracted attention due to his potential, although a move in the winter transfer window seems unlikely, as there is no immediate need for additional players in his position. Lyon, however, is under financial pressure and needs to sell players.

Cherki has been in good form this season, with five goals and seven assists to his name. Despite this, it’s expected that he won’t stay at Lyon for much longer. He is often compared to Eden Hazard and tipped for a bright future.

Liverpool.com says: Cherki is undoubtedly a talented player, but he may not have an immediate place in Liverpool’s starting lineup. With Harvey Elliott still struggling for playing time, the priority should be to give him more minutes, potentially in a number 10 role.

    Joao Pedro (Brighton)

    Joao Pedro

Liverpool has reportedly started groundwork for a summer move for Brighton’s Brazilian striker Joao Pedro, according to Football Insider. With an expected price tag above $75m (£60m/€72m), Pedro is reportedly open to joining a bigger club.

Liverpool.com says: Given the uncertainty around Darwin Nunez’s future at Liverpool, Pedro seems like a smart option. He could become the next Roberto Firmino, showing great promise and impressive statistics at just 22 years old. He’s ready to take his game to the next level.

    More news…..

Liverpool urged to pay £40-50m for January target also pursued by Arsenal and Man United

Liverpool are eager to sign Antonee Robinson from Fulham in January.

As reported by Football Insider, they will need to pay a fee of approximately £40-50 million to secure the USMNT star’s services.

The 27-year-old left-back has proven himself as a consistent performer in the Premier League and could be the perfect replacement for Andrew Robertson. The Scottish international has shown signs of decline, with recent performances being underwhelming. Robertson requires a suitable replacement, and the Fulham defender would be an excellent acquisition.

Both Manchester United and Arsenal are also interested in the player, and it remains to be seen where he will end up.

Robinson has contributed 6 assists for Fulham in the league this season, solidifying his importance to the team. It’s no surprise that Fulham are asking for a premium price for him.

Liverpool have the financial resources to complete the transfer and should move to sign him in the upcoming weeks.

Manchester United and Arsenal also have a need for Robinson.

It’s not surprising that Manchester United are targeting the player. Luke Shaw has been plagued by recurring injury issues, and Manchester United need a more dependable option in that position. Robinson has demonstrated his quality in the Premier League and could make an immediate impact if he joins Old Trafford.

Similarly, Arsenal are in search of a top-tier left-back who could surpass Oleksandr Zinchenko. The 27-year-old fits the bill, and it will be fascinating to see where he ultimately chooses to go.

Robinson will likely be drawn to the opportunity to join a major club. Having proven his abilities with Fulham, he will want to play for a team capable of winning significant trophies. As he is in the prime of his career, he will want to compete regularly at the highest level.

With the summer transfer window just days away, Mauricio Pochettino faces a series of tough decisions after his side have played three Premier League games.

The Argentine’s first win at the helm came against Luton Town last Friday night and he is set to welcome a newcomer to his squad with a string of eliminations yet to come. One of the players likely to leave is Romelu Lukaku, whose tentative agreement is for him to join AS Roma on loan, while defender Trevoh Chalobah is in talks for a permanent move to Bayern Munich.

Surprisingly, when it comes to new arrivals, Arsenal star Emile Smith Rowe has emerged as an option for the Blues, while Raphinha and Ferran Torres are also being considered. Rayan Cherki and Lyonnais Bradley Barcola are also linked but the latter’s departure no longer seems likely, although a far-fetched theory has surfaced for Cherki. Rafhinha still goes on

Chelsea missed signing Raphinha from Leeds last summer as the Brazilian international was in favor of a move to Barcelona.

However, the Blues could stand a chance of acquiring him from the Catalan giants, especially with his place in the squad currently unclear and interest lingering in Stamford Bridge.

According to the Mail, it’s on their radar with days before the end of the summer semester. His Barcelona team-mate Ferran Torres is also being closely watched by Chelsea.

Cherki transfer tip. Lyon’s Rayan Cherki still remains a target for Chelsea, despite minimal progress on the deal in recent weeks.

Contacts had been made with the French club and Cherki’s representatives, but Chelsea began to focus on other goals. A move for Barcola now looks unlikely, however, with Brentford eyeing a move for striker and Andrey Santos’ loan to Nottingham Forest rather than Lyon affecting a deal.

With the Bees focused on Barcola, the door is open for Chelsea to formally return to action for Cherki, especially after a Chelsea scout was spotted during Lyon’s last game against Nice.

Emile Smith Rowe Relocation Opportunity. On Monday, Emile Smith Rowe proved a surprise transfer option for Chelsea as they look to sign a versatile new striker.

Mohammed Kudus, Michael Olise, Jeremy Doku, Bradley Barcola, Rayan Cherki, Raphinha and Ferran Torres are also all linked, but it looks like Smith Rowe is the current favourite.

Mauricio Pochettino is looking for a proven Premier League player, Smith Rowe, and Arsenal’s position does not rule out a departure. A source has told football.london he is unlikely to leave the Emirates Stadium but nothing is ruled out.

    Chalobah to Bayern?!

Chelsea transfer news: Catch up on the Blues' biggest headlines, including updates on Romelu Lukaku, Emile Smith Rowe, Raphinha
Trevoh Chalobah’s future at Chelsea is set to be decided in the coming days due to interest from Bayern Munich. The 24-year-old was linked with a move to Inter Milan but that deal fell through and he hasn’t been included in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad since, mainly due to a hamstring injury. The signing of Axel Disasi also demonstrates that Pochettino did not immediately see him as a replacement for the injured Wesley Fofana. Talks with Bayern Munich and former manager Thomas Tuchel, now Bavarian manager, then began with a probable loan move.

Earlier this summer, Chalobah discussed his future as Italy appeared to be the more likely destination for him than him, with the defender debating whether it was a suitable place to live. However, it may instead be Germany where his long-term future lies, with The Telegraph reporting that a permanent move to Bayern is under negotiation and talks are also progressing well…

Smith Rowe’s Best Position… or four!

Chelsea are a longtime admirer of Smith Rowe and he certainly fits the profile of the type of striker they are looking to add to their ranks before the transfer deadline. Smith Rowe can play up front just about anywhere – something Mauricio Pochettino expects of anyone he recruits.

In fact, Arteta has already spoken about Smith Rowe’s versatility and what he can bring to the team. “I think Smith Rowe can play four positions,” Arteta said last year. “He can play as a left winger, he can play as a left attacking midfielder, he can play as a right attacking midfielder and he can play as a nine; very, very well, I think.

There are doubts over Smith Rowe’s future at the Emirates Stadium, but the three-time England international said in June he would not give up at Arsenal despite not being one of the first names on the team list.

Chelsea News & Transfers LIVE: Deal Reached, Frimpong Interest, Lukaku Rejected, Cucurella Exit
Chelsea transfer news: Find out about all the main Chelsea headlines, including updates on Djordje Petrovic, Marc Cucurella and Romelu Lukaku.

Chelsea have finally picked up their first win of the new season and are looking to build on their early appearances for a successful campaign. The focus turns to the cup game, with a draw against AFC Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup midweek.

Elsewhere, we’re in the final week of the summer transfer window, meaning any last-minute deals require that finishing touch. Marc Cucurella has been linked with a move to Manchester United, while Romelu Lukaku is also believed to be a potential departure.

    Frimpong to replace James

Chelsea have named Bayer Leverkusen defender Jeremy Frimpong as a possible replacement for the injured Reece James.

As reported by football.scotland, Frimpong has attracted interest thanks to his performance at Leverkusen. The Dutch international has long been teetering on a move to the Premier League after proving to be one of Europe’s most talented attacking full-backs.

    Lukaku Dortmund rejection

According to Corriere dello Sport, Lukaku rejected a last-minute approach from Borussia Dortmund this summer regarding a move to Roma. According to reports, in the last 24 hours Dortmund would have emerged as an interest of Lukaku to hijack the Roma deal. But the striker has no interest in moving to the Bundesliga.

Chelsea lose the agreement with Kudus.

Mohammed Kudus has signed a five-year deal with the option of a further year at West Ham United before completing his £38.2million move from Ajax, according to The Athletic.

The 23-year-old attacking midfielder flew to London on Saturday to complete a medical with the Premier League outfit and his transfer will be announced on Monday. The deal also includes a 10% resale clause.

Chelsea were interested in signing the Ghana international but are close to joining the Hammers.

Manchester United are considering a move to Chelsea’s Cucurella.

Chelsea News & Transfers LIVE: Deal Reached, Frimpong Interest, Lukaku Rejected, Cucurella Exit
Manchester United are considering a move for Marc Cucurella after Luke Shaw was sidelined for a long time with a muscle injury, according to The Athletic.

United and Chelsea have held informal talks and Chelsea are said to be considering a possible loan move, although the 25-year-old could still remain at the club after the UK transfer window closes on Friday. Brennan Johnson offer

Tottenham will beat Chelsea with the signing of Nottingham Forest star Brennan Johnson before the summer transfer window closes.

According to The Telegraph, Spurs are expected to submit a £50m bid to sign Johnson this week.

    Lukaku update.

Chelsea News & Transfers LIVE: Deal Reached, Frimpong Interest, Lukaku Rejected, Cucurella Exit
Romelu Lukaku is ever closer to a move to Roma and further talks are expected today. The Chelsea star is training away from the senior side to decide his future.

    Decision of Rayan Cherki.

L’Équipe reports that Rayan Cherki will stay at Olympique Lyonnais this season despite interest from Chelsea, Newcastle United, Aston Villa and West Ham United.

Newcastle, Aston Villa and West Ham continue to try to sign Cherki as the transfer deadline approaches. However, the most likely scenario is that he still has a year left at Lyon.

Chelsea star drops Manchester United transfer advice over Marc Cucurella

Chelsea star Nicolas Jackson may have hinted at Marc Cucurella’s possible move to Manchester United in the coming summer transfer window days.

It comes as the Spaniard has been linked with a move to Old Trafford and contacted over the possibility of a loan deal. The Red Devils are looking for a cheaper option when it comes to their left-back options in the transfer window with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia both injured.

As for Cucurella, the links follow a nightmarish first year with the Blues after he joined for £62m from Brighton last summer. The Spaniard has been named 2021/22 Player of the Season for the Seagulls, sparking transfer interest from the west London club. The left-back struggled to settle in as a series of notorious errors combined with poor results created a difficult atmosphere. Cucurella was repeatedly booed by Chelsea fans last season, with many unhappy with the expensive signing.

  • Bradley Barcola, Noni Madueke, and how Chelsea’s transfer strategy might change in a 90-minute

Bradley Barcola, Noni Madueke, and how Chelsea’s transfer strategy might change in a 90-minute

    Bradley Barcola, Noni Madueke
Chelsea are in the hunt for a new right winger before the window closes and Football.London are exploring how tonight’s game against Luton Town could affect their plans.

Since Chelsea completed the signings of Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia for £173m last week, the club’s direction in the transfer market has been pretty clear.

Bringing in a new goalie and adding another attacking talent to their ranks. The first seems almost settled, fortunately for the Blues.

New England Revolution’s Djordje Petrovic is on his way to Stamford Bridge after Chelsea agreed a £14m (£12.5m plus £1.5m extras) deal with the side from the MLS.

Petrovic will soon undergo medical treatment with the Blues and by the time Chelsea host second-tier side AFC Wimbledon in west London in the second round of the Carabao Cup next week, the transfer should be complete.

It was therefore natural that the club’s attention turned to an attacking option: someone who is versatile and can play both on the right wing and in the middle as a number 10. A few options have been identified for a possible move during the last week of the summer transfer window.

Chelsea spoke to Rayan Cherki and his representatives last month, football.london learns, but nothing has progressed with the Frenchman since the initial dialogue. It could be a target to watch, but for now it looks like Chelsea have turned their attention to other targets.

    Bradley Barcola, Noni Madueke
One of them is Bradley Barcola from the same club, Lyon. The 20-year-old is currently seen as one of the most exciting talents in his role – right wing – in world football right now. But Paris Saint-Germain is also interested in Barcola and has started negotiations with Lyon for a transfer of the winger.

“We need at least one goalkeeper,” Mauricio Pochettino told reporters on Thursday. “We have very talented young goalkeepers, but they need time.

“They need more and then we were talking about a striker, the right profile. If we manage to add the right profile, yes, but not to bring players, so we can add another one. We don’t want to stop the evolution of some young people, [Armando] Broja, [Christopher] Nkunku.

“We work hard, but we don’t make decisions because we need someone. We may need some players in these two areas.”

Pochettino essentially suggested that the club will enter the transfer market between now and September 1st, but only if there is the ideal option. Chelsea will not be in a hurry to buy someone just because they don’t fit the club’s desired profile or ideology. Tonight’s (Friday) game against Luton Town could have a major impact on the club’s plans until the window closes. With Christopher Nkunku and Carney Chukwuemeka both out with knee injuries, the Blues’ offensive options will be tight for those playing behind Nicolas Jackson, we assume.

    Bradley Barcola, Noni Madueke
Noni Madueke is likely to make his first start under Pochettino after coming on as a second-half substitute at West Ham United at the weekend. The 21-year-old winger, who was signed by PSV Eindhoven in the January transfer window for £30m, showed the first glimpses of his vast talent and technical ability in the second half of last season, but struggled to establish itself on the right.
place to secure – hand side.

When Madueke positions a defender in a one-on-one situation, he is virtually unstoppable. He’s one of those players where the defender knows what he’s going to do; he cuts off his favorite left foot, but precognition becomes useless due to his incredible speed and tricky dribbling.

Against West Ham, however, Chelsea almost played against two right wingers at times. Raheem Sterling was often on the right wing and stayed there even as Madueke entered the second period. This has at times forced the England under-21 international to move into the centre, where he has been unable to hurt the Hammers.

However, there were a few instances where Madueke picked up the ball on the right side and was able to show the wits of him in one-on-one situations. It was a terrible shame he couldn’t find the back of the net on a shot that hit the net, only for goalkeeper Alphonse Areola to deflect the goal and then turn it over.

If he wants to play against Luton, Chelsea will have to send the ball to him down the right flank as often as possible because if he isolates a full-back there is nothing anyone can do about it. His end product obviously needs improvement, but for raw talent, what he has to offer is pretty scary.

There is always talk of a new right-winger, but Madueke sometimes seems overlooked. Even though Chelsea need depth on the wing, largely due to injury, whoever comes in doesn’t have to be a drag on the development of one of England’s brightest young talents.

£66m beast makes Chelsea decision - Blues negotiate £43m man - Chelsea make £50m move on signing
£66m beast makes Chelsea decision – Blues negotiate £43m man – Chelsea make £50m move on signing

Here’s a recap of the top Chelsea news and gossip we think you might have missed on icfootballnews…

Chelsea have increased their interest in Rayan Cherki and are in direct contact with the Frenchman’s representatives.

CHELSEA have already been busy in the transfer market this summer, snapping up some players – but also allowing a number of stars to leave to raise money.

Cherki is a man who is now on the agenda of the Chelsea board, as he meets the criteria to be one of the most exciting young players in the game, with the ability to become one of the brightest stars in the game.

It has been claimed Lyon are unwilling to sell – but that hasn’t stopped media reports that Chelsea have been in touch over a potential deal for the talented star.

    WHAT IS THE LATEST –

Football.london understands the French club have not said they are not for sale, but with the financial difficulties plaguing at the moment, they will try to squeeze every penny they can out of Chelsea if they make an offer. An offer is currently under consideration and representatives of Chelsea and Cherki have been trying for a few days to reach an agreement on personal terms.

French football expert Jonathan Johnson has recently hinted that they may be forced to sell some of their top talent this summer.

    WHAT DID HE SAY –

“Rayan Cherki might be someone to watch. There were reports linking him to CHELSEA. Breaking through a bit earlier than Barcola, he’s another promising young player who’s been making waves for some time. He’s someone who is firmly in the focus of Europe’s top clubs, as we saw when PSG tried to sign him last year.

“I think Cherki is someone to watch as I wouldn’t be surprised if other big clubs replace him as well.”

“Lyon is generally not lacking in talent that could interest all of Europe. If I had to choose two players likely to leave Lyon this summer, I would probably put Cherki and Castello Lukeba ahead of Barcola then, but it depends on the most attractive offers Lyon face during these financial difficulties.

Once these problems are solved, I think it will be more difficult to sell Lyon. So it really depends on which club will be the first to come up with an attractive offer for Lyon.

    BALOGUN DECISION TAKEN –

Chelsea are now looking to sign Folarin Balogun from Arsenal – who, interestingly, has the same agent as Romeo Lavia.
CHELSEA have reportedly decided to sign Arsenal star Folarin Balogun for £50m this summer.

With just a few days left in the transfer window and Chelsea working hard to sign a new striker – Balogun is a man they are seriously interested in. The striker impressed in Ligue 1 last season, scoring an impressive 22 goals for French side Reims – and many believed he would get a chance from Mikel Arteta.

However, that is not the case, as the Spanish manager cannot guarantee him the regular playing time he wants, and is reportedly desperate for a move from the Emirates, and Chelsea are in deal talks.

    WHAT IS THE LATEST –

Gunners want £50m to part ways with Balogun but Chelsea don’t think he’s worth that much, BBC report says

After initial talks with the Gunners over a fee, the Stamford Bridge club ended interest in him.

At Monaco, the offer for the 22-year-old has already been rejected, while Inter are trying to negotiate a loan package with the right to buy.

IS BALOGUN WORTH £50 MILLION? The youngster is certainly a talent and the kind of player the Chelsea board have been dying to sign in recent weeks – but he’s not worth £50m yet and anyone would be mad to pay that .

He scored an impressive 22 goals for Reims last season, but Mikel Arteta has worked with him all summer and if he thinks he’s not good enough for the club, other clubs should keep one eye open.

CHELSEA need a striker ready to make a difference – not a player who might struggle in the Premier League.

So, if the reports are true and Chelsea have opted against signing the youngster, they need to hurry up and land a striker who can have repercussions for the club.

    VLAHOVIC DECISION –

£66m beast makes Chelsea decision - Blues negotiate £43m man - Chelsea make £50m move on signing
Chelsea have discussed signing Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic this summer and he has made the decision to leave the Italians. CHELSEA have already agreed numerous transfer deals this summer – with some top players leaving and big names moving to Stamford Bridge.

But their transfer deal is up and running and a new centre-forward is set to join London – especially as the club really struggled to score weekly goals last season.

And Vlahovic – who joined Juventus last summer – is a player who will leave the Italians this summer after missing out on the Champions League.

    WHAT IS THE LATEST  –

Juventus are keen to strike a deal with Chelsea involving Romelu Lukaku but are expected to sell Dusan Vlahovic in particular to fund a transfer.

As things stand, Vlahovic doesn’t want to leave. Chelsea are yet to return to the negotiating table over a possible swap deal.

It is understood that funds could be raised through the sale of Moise Kean. However, if Juventus lost Kean, they would likely look to sign Alvaro Morata as his replacement – not Lukaku.

WOULD HE BE A GOOD SIGNING FOR CHELSEA?

Vlahovic is a brilliant striker who has what it takes to be a big star at CHELSEA and if they manage to get a deal done he would be a real statement for the Blues board. Chelsea’s attack is very exciting and should score a few goals – but they still need to add a good striker to that attack – and Vlahovic could be that man.

But if he doesn’t want to leave the Italians, Chelsea will have to go ahead and try to sign someone as the transfer window is just days away from closing.

Chelsea are looking for a right-winger who can also play as an attacking midfielder but has less than two weeks to sign a contract

Chelsea still appear to be looking for a right winger who could also play as an attacking midfielder after Michael Olise turned down a move to Stamford Bridge. The 21-year-old playmaker has already been heavily linked with a move to west London and, at the height of interest from the Blues, decided to sign a new long-term contract at Crystal Palace.

football.london understand that Chelsea were once confident of securing Olise’s signature. After talks with those close to the France Under-21 international, the two sides verbally agreed on personal terms before paying his release clause.

Joe Shields is understood to have played a leading role in the negotiations, having recently played a key role in bringing Romeo Lavia to the Cobham training ground. However, despite the Blues’ best efforts, Palace capitalized on interest in Olise and tied him up in extra time at Selhurst Park.

Chelsea now have less than two weeks to sign an alternative and Mauricio Pochettino has a few names in his shortlist. football.london understands the club remain interested in Mohammed Kudus and Rayan Cherki, with Brennan Johnson a late goal.

Chelsea hijack £51.3m Man City's bid for excellence Michael Olise replacement, compared to Eden Hazard
However, according to French outlet L’Équipe, Chelsea are interested in Rennes’ Jeremy Doku. According to the report, Manchester City are currently leading the race for the 21-year-old winger, who has been identified by Pep Guardiola as a replacement for Riyad Mahrez. L’Équipe add that Rennes are reportedly ready to sell Doku this summer for around €60m (£51.4m). The Belgium international, whose contract at Roazhon Park expires in 2025, made 29 appearances for the French side in Ligue 1 last season, contributing directly to eight goals.

Doku started the new season in excellent form, scoring a goal against Metz on the opening weekend. His impressive performances and low center of gravity have earned him comparisons to Eden Hazard.

In a Facebook Live video with La Tribune for RTBF, former Premier League star Phillipe Albert explained why he would be a great addition to the English top flight. He said: “He has incredible qualities which were discovered at Anderlecht, but he has been injured a lot in the last two or three seasons.”

“He’s a young talent who left for over €20m (£17m), so Rennes would accept an offer of €60m (£51m). I think the walk is not too far away, he has the qualities to win.” Premier League or any World Cup.

“If he is 100% physically, he will assert himself and repel opponents. It’s a bit like Eden Hazard at the start of his career with his double, triple accelerations which can hurt a lot.” “In England some teams are still a little naive at this level so it would hurt. He can play both sides, but I always believe that a player has to play on the right foot, so I would put him on the right foot. The role. The job of a winger is also to take care of the striker. So if you have the right player, there is no better player at this level.”

  • Pochettino faces Cherki, Olise, and Kudus transfer headaches, but Chelsea gets an easy £110m decision.

Pochettino faces Cherki, Olise, and Kudus transfer headaches, but Chelsea gets an easy £110m decision.

This summer, Chelsea has been strongly linked to moves for Rayan Cherki, Mohammed Kudus, and Michael Olise, three players with a combined value of £110 million.

Rayan Cherki, Mohammed Kudus, and Michael Olise are three players who are reportedly on Mauricio Pochettino’s shortlist as he searches for a new attacking midfielder this summer. However, with Chelsea also vying for Moises Caicedo’s services, the Blues may be forced to choose just one of the three young playmakers.

    football.
According to reports in London, Cherki’s contract with Olympique Lyonnais expires in two years, and Chelsea is reportedly considering a move for him. The 19-year-old was reportedly the subject of several visits from west Londoners scouts last season, who also kept tabs on Malo Gusto’s development.

Cherki has become one of the most intriguing candidates on Pochettino’s shortlist as Chelsea looks to replace players like Kai Havertz, Mason Mount, and Christian Pulisic. In Ligue 1 last season, he made 34 appearances for Laurent Blanc’s team and was directly involved in ten goals.

The teenage sensation has quickly cemented himself in the Lyon starting lineup despite his young age. He entered the first team quickly a few years ago and, at the age of just 16, made his senior debut in the Champions League.

Football for Kudus. London is aware that the Blues are exploring trade options for the 22-year-old. In 30 appearances for Ajax in the Eredivisie last season, he scored 11 goals and provided four assists.

The Ghanaian international has previously been used as a No. Once the fixtures start coming thick and fast, he is a desirable option because of his 10, and even an eight. Olise, however, might be a wise choice if Chelsea wants to add some Premier League experience.

The Daily Mail cites French publication RMC Sport as saying that the Blues have already made a £39 million offer to Crystal Palace for the 21-year-old. According to the report, the project at Stamford Bridge has “seduced” Olise.

The France Under-21 international’s contract at Selhurst Park includes a £35 million release clause, but Chelsea has offered more than that to try to set up a more palatable payment schedule, according to The Daily Mail. In the Eagles’ 37 appearances in the English Premier League last year, he directly assisted on 13 goals.

Both Olise and Kudus, who would bring important experience and tactical flexibility, are currently injured; the former just had surgery for a hamstring problem, and the latter is only dealing with a minor knock.

The obvious choice is to pursue a move for Cherki because both of them are currently essentially inactive. The Frenchman is not a downgrade, and he would be able to start participating in preseason practices right away.

Chelsea is “one step away” from a sensational $54 million transfer after making “contact” with Neymar.

    football
Latest media briefing from Stamford Bridge on Chelsea transfers, including comments on stories about Neymar, Rayan Cherki, and summer plans.

Rayan Cherki, an attacking midfielder for Lyon, has reportedly taken a significant step toward joining Chelsea.

The Blues are reportedly very interested in the player and have looked into a transfer for the 19-year-old, according to information in football.london.

According to Simon Phillips’ most recent report, Cherki and his camp will soon receive personal terms and contract offers. Though Lyon aren’t actively looking to sell him, it is believed that they would be open to it if the right offer came in because he still has two years left on his current deal in France.

According to football.london; It has been reported that a price of around £42 million ($54 million) would be sufficient to lure him away this summer, but Chelsea is eager to lower that price as much as they can as they look to take a similar course of action with Moises Caicedo in the coming weeks.

Cherki has been a player to emerge out of nowhere this summer when it comes to significant links. His quality and promise are very high, despite the fact that he wasn’t someone who many people would have suggested as a solution to many issues.

Given how in-demand he has been throughout his youth career, to land a deal like this would be sensational. Despite still being a teenager, he has played in 102 matches for Lyon and has discovered a real position where he can excel: playing centrally behind a striker.

It’s understandable why people might wonder why they would need someone like him after signing Christopher Nkunku, but Chelsea have built a reputation for hoarding talent, and they appear set to use fluid attackers next season.

Nkunku and Cherki can both play from either wing or behind a striker, and given their connections to Paulo Dybala, it is this kind of player that has recently come into the spotlight. Chelsea would regret letting him slip now that they are essentially in a one-horse race to capture him.

    Contact with Neymar.

Chelsea is "one step away" from a sensational $54 million transfer after making "contact" with Neymar.
L’Equipe reports from France that Chelsea is interested in making an offer for Neymar. Todd Boehly admires the Brazilian superstar and has previously talked about a possible transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, but he will hold off to see if he makes a move to leave.

According to this report, Chelsea is reportedly interested in buying him permanently as opposed to just looking for a loan, which is a change from earlier reports. Although Neymar still has two years left on his contract, he is eager for a new challenge as his professional career is just beginning.

The 31-year-old is reportedly worth $51 million ($65 million), but PSG would probably demand more for him. There is still much to be done at the Parc des Princes, especially since Kylian Mbappe may leave the team this summer. While Luis Enrique and Luis Campos are considering replacing Neymar with players like Randal Kolo Muani and Bernardo Silva, they are still undecided.

According to football.london: It certainly seems like Chelsea is open to acquiring as many fluid attackers as possible; perhaps Neymar is just at the back of the line, an afterthought. Neymar was a late addition, that’s correct.

Even though Mauricio Pochettino worked with him at PSG, he doesn’t fit the high-energy pressing style that Pochettino values so much, nor does he fit the age range Chelsea is actively seeking to fill. He is an incredible player, yes, but he contributes very little else to the overall project.

It’s difficult to see this as a positive development for Chelsea because of their egregious failures with high-profile, big-budget players. Neymar wouldn’t only be entertaining to watch, but at Stamford Bridge he really isn’t the solution to many problems right now. Stay away.

In their pursuit of Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo, Chelsea appears to have received a significant update.

After letting Mateo Kovacic, N’Golo Kante, Mason Mount, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek leave, Mauricio Pochettino is looking to improve Chelsea’s midfield options. Despite negotiations between Chelsea and Brighton for the Ecuadorian international, Caicedo appears to have made up his mind about where he wants to go.

Brighton are “determined” to see that their £100 million valuation is met, according to Daily Telegraph journalist Matt Law, who spoke on the London is Blue podcast. Though the midfielder was reportedly promised a summer transfer as part of signing his new contract, talks between the two clubs are reportedly still ongoing and a deal is not believed to be imminent.

Despite Chelsea’s interest, manager Laurent Blanc advised Rayan Cherki to stay at Olympique Lyonnais for another year. As Mauricio Pochettino searches for a replacement for Mason Mount, the 19-year-old wonderkid has recently been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.

football.london is aware that the Blues have recently intensified their pursuit of Cherki as a result of encouraging discussions with his entourage about a potential deal. It’s rumored that Chelsea sent scouts to watch the attacking midfielder on several occasions last season, where they also kept an eye on Malo Gusto, who was signed in January.

With Mount gone, Cherki has been deemed a “priority signing,” with Pochettino eager to expand his creative options this summer. Lyon hasn’t explicitly stated that he’s not for sale, but it is said that the West Londoners are debating whether or not to make him an offer.

Chelsea’s chances of landing Matheus Franca this summer have taken a significant hit. The 19-year-old forward has recently been strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge as the Blues seek to bolster their roster with some of the most exciting young players in the world.

While Mauricio Pochettino may aspire to add Franca to the club’s expanding group of Brazilian youth players, the west Londoners will face tough competition for his services. Chelsea are currently in talks to sign Randal Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt, a player Thomas Tuchel wants at Bayern Munich.

    L’Equipe reports it.
So what about Chelsea and Randal Kolo Muani? We see…

    What’s the story?
Well, the French news has mainly focused on Elye Wahi: Chelsea are said to be in talks for a deal to sign Montpellier’s number 21 as well. However, it has been said – within the story – that Chelsea are also in talks to sign Muani.

The French international enjoyed a special 2022/23 season after moving from Nantes to Eintracht Frankfurt on a free transfer in the summer of 2022.

Muani scored one goal and provided one assist in three World Cup appearances as France reached the final in Qatar.

Remarkably, the 24-year-old also scored 23 goals and provided 17 assists in 46 appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt, for a phenomenal total of 40 goals in almost the same number of games.

An 'impressive' £100 million player is currently being negotiated by Chelsea, and Tuchel also wants to purchase him.
Muani’s extraordinary efforts caught the attention of German legend Lothar Matthäus, who hinted at the Frenchman becoming a future great.

The 62-year-old is quoted by Jeunes Footeux: “Kolo Muani is a great asset to the Bundesliga. He is impressive in his gestures, full of composure when looking at opponents’ goal and often has the last word in duels.

“What impresses him the most is that he shines in every game. It’s the sign of future greats.”

Chelsea must do everything for Kolo Muani

In our view, Chelsea should suspend talks to sign Wahi and focus fully on Muani.

The Bondy-born striker is a real handful for any opponent he faces, and he always seems to be involved in the game, no matter how dominant the opponent is, as Matthews said.

Combining superb aerial skills with clever movement and quick feet, Muani also has the pace to instill fear in defenders – he appears to be a truly complete striker, as his incredible numbers prove.

Eintracht Frankfurt are said to want £100million for their No.9 this summer, with Bayern Munich in hiding – according to the Independent – and while that’s a lot to pay for Chelsea, the Blues are expected to pushing for it given his world-class skills. to engage him in the attack.

Moises Caicedo’s transfer to Manchester United is approved by Erik ten Hag.

A comment made by Erik ten Hag regarding Manchester United’s transfer activity has given Chelsea the go-ahead to sign Moises Caicedo of Brighton. Although the Blues are believed to be in the lead in the race for Caicedo’s signature, United have been linked with a move for the Ecuadorian international.

Caicedo was a player in whom Arsenal had interest in January, but that interest has since waned this summer. The Blues’ top priority this summer is still Caicedo, not football. London has an understanding.

Before United’s first preseason game, Ten Hag admitted he wants to strengthen the team but gave the impression that he might look to the club’s academy rather than outside signings. The Dutchman said, “We must strengthen the squad, and you can do it with transfers, but you can also use players from across the academy.”.

“United is renowned for using young players in the first team. I’m hoping for at least one player who can enter. “.

The midfielder for Brighton recently stated that he would be open to moving to Chelsea during the summer transfer window. In order to bolster Mauricio Pochettino’s midfield options, the Blues are currently in negotiations with Brighton about a possible £80 million deal to sign the Ecuadorian midfielder.

As Liverpool increase their interest in Levi Colwill, Mauricio Pochettino decides which player to transfer to Chelsea.

Liverpool may sign a "new Virgil van Dijk," but the star may demand a higher salary than the Dutch player.
As Mauricio Pochettino battles to keep hold of Levi Colwill at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea has made a decision regarding the future of Trevoh Chalobah.
    football.
Teams are monitoring, but as far as London is aware, the Blues are not currently interested in selling the 20-year-old.

Colwill played 17 times in the Premier League for the Seagulls last season, contributing to Roberto De Zerbi’s team’s five shutouts. Colwill’s contract at Stamford Bridge expires in 2025. In the midst of transfer rumors, Pochettino has stated that he will speak with Colwill about his position in the team and their expectations for one another this year.

In the event that the ideal offer materializes this summer, Chelsea’s owners are reportedly open to selling Chalobah, according to the Evening Standard. Thiago Silva, Wesley Fofana, Benoit Badiashile, Levi Colwill, and other center backs are ahead of the English defender in Stamford Bridge’s pecking order.

    football.
As the Blues continue to whittle down the senior squad in preparation for next season, london understands that Pochettino has determined that he only wants four centre-backs in the squad for the first team. Chalobah is valued by Inter Milan at around £25 million, but other clubs are also interested in making an offer.

Chalobah was cheerful during this week’s training session under Pochettino and is rumored to be willing to fight for his position at Chelsea. He targets an England debut ahead of the Euro 2024 competition, but he wants regular first-team action.

Chelsea increases its interest in Rayan Cherki as Lyon’s position is made public.

Mauricio Pochettino decides to spend £25m on Rayan Cherki as negotiations continue, according to Chelsea transfer news.
In recent days, football, Chelsea has intensified their pursuit of Rayan Cherki and has spoken with the Frenchman’s agents directly. London has an understanding.

Lyon, who has the 19-year-old under contract until June 30, 2025, is adamant about holding onto their prized possession. Contrary to popular belief, the French club has not explicitly stated that he is not for sale, but should Chelsea accept a bid, they will fight tooth and nail to get as much money as possible.

The representatives of Chelsea and Cherki have been in communication recently in an effort to reach a personal agreement, and an offer is currently being considered. Cherki is attracting interest from other clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, who had a bid for the teen rejected during the January transfer window.

However, if Lyon were to sell, they would choose to work with Chelsea over bolstering one of their league rivals. The West Londoners are not only looking at football, but also at other targets. Cherki is now considered to be the top candidate for that position, according to London.
