Chelsea are now ready to do all they can to sack Romelu Lukaku this summer as Mauricio Pochettino attempts to downsize his squad.

Now – according to Fabrizio Romano – the Belgian only wants to move to Inter Milan this summer.

Lukaku has turned down an offer from Saudi Arabia, who the Evening Standard say is worth £16million a year, and also doesn’t seem keen on playing for Chelsea. As such, the Blues are now ready to do whatever they can to sack the 30-year-old.

Calciomercato believe Chelsea simply want to get Lukaku off their books for good and have no interest in accepting any further loan outs for the £97.5m man.

Only a permanent departure will satisfy the Blues, who are waiting for Inter Milan to raise the funds to sign the Belgian permanently.

The Mirror understand Chelsea are even willing to accept £34m for Lukaku which would mean a whopping £63.5m loss on the initial investment.

Lukaku looks to be firmly in that category and it looks like it’s only a matter of time before he leaves Stamford Bridge again.

Chelsea makes over £100 million by selling FOUR players, in order to fund their increased transfer plans

Although Chelsea may have recently made a lot of purchases, it now appears that the sale of just three first-team fringe players, all of whom are headed to Saudi Arabia, will net the team at least £100 million.

Kalidou Koulibaly, Edouard Mendy, Hakim Ziyech, and Kai Havertz, who are all headed to Arsenal, are the four first-team players that Chelsea are getting ready to part ways with for a whopping combined fee of £107 million.

The Blues want to sell the last three to various Saudi Arabian clubs in an effort to raise enough money for Moises Caicedo, a midfielder for Brighton. Personal considerations shouldn’t be a problem for the Ecuadorian international, who is thought to be interested in the Stamford Bridge move.

And this new report states that bringing Vlahovic “and sending Lukaku to Juventus would kill two birds with one stone for Chelsea”.

Milan would also be interested, but the deal “shouldn’t materialise”. Chelsea have been open to Lukaku’s return to Stamford Bridge and a fresh start under Pochettino.

But the player himself has made it clear that staying in Italy is his goal.
Blues bosses will have further talks over his future this week.

And this update claims that “there is still recognition on all sides that it is in everyone’s interest” to get things done quickly.

He reported on Twitter that the German international has already completed the first leg of his medical to see him move to north London.

Arsenal now appear to have won the tender, with Romano saying the deal should be finalized this week.

He said: “Kai Havertz has already completed the first part of medical tests as a new Arsenal player. We are waiting for the club to sign contracts.
“The deal with Chelsea will be finalized this week.”

The amount the Gunners are paying is certainly not something Chelsea will be disappointed with, especially after the huge transfer fee they have spent to bring him back in 2020.

Manchester City have agreed a £30m deal to sign Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic.
