The Liverpool dressing room’s verdict on Jurgen Klopp's rebuild during summer window

Liverpool signed players such as Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch this summer to remind Manchester City and Arsenal of their title credentials.

Joel Matip believes Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool 2.0 has evolved into a different style – but the old mentality remains as strong as ever.

The defender, who was Klopp’s second signing at Anfield when he signed on a pre-contract eight years ago, believes his character – which is the manager’s trademark – can produce trophies again. The Reds have not won a major trophy since the 2022 FA Cup.

Speaking about Liverpool’s new look after a complete midfield reboot this summer, the veteran centre-back said: “It’s my eighth season (at Anfield) and the manager has tried to adapt our style during my time here .”

“It’s not the same football we played six or seven years ago, so he’s adapting.” But he still tries to do it his way and I think it works quite well.
All the new players have adapted well.
Overall, our start to the season isn’t that bad.

“But performance-wise, we’re not exactly where we want to be in the last 90-plus minutes.
In the end, we’ve turned things around a lot and it’s good to know we still have the quality to do that.”

For Matip, the new look of football, as Liverpool have evolved their passing style under Klopp, has already made an impression.
Speaking about new signings Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister, he said: “Dom and Macca played almost all the time and did so brilliantly.

“You can see that both playing with the ball and against the ball their adaptation has been fantastic – they have never really looked new here.”

The defender also believes Klopp’s other summer midfield signings, Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch, have already shown promising signs despite being signed at the end of the transfer window with little time to adapt.

“Wataru and Ryan arrived later, but they have already shown that they can help us too,” he explained to the club’s official website.
“All the new players have done a fantastic job so far and I’m really looking forward to seeing them play.”

And he believes there is a real chance of glory this season with Liverpool already showing signs of battle on four fronts, including keeping pace with champions Manchester City in the title race.
“We have four competitions ahead of us and we want to be as successful as possible in each of them,” he explained.

“We want to give everything, but no one knows what will happen in the end.
We are just focusing on our next game and working hard to do the best we can there. This is my eighth season at Liverpool and I have always tried to do my best for the team.
When I am needed, I want to be there and show my quality.

Midfielder still a target for Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

Manu Kone, a midfielder for Borussia Monchengladbach, was initially reportedly a target for Liverpool during the summer

Manu Kone, a midfielder for Borussia Monchengladbach, was initially reportedly a target for Liverpool during the summer and the Reds are reportedly still interested in him.

As Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Naby Keita, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all left Anfield, the Reds ultimately moved for different targets on that occasion, bringing in four new players in the form of Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Ryan Gravenberch, and Wataru Endo.

Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in Kone, while Liverpool’s interest in the player also appears to be ongoing, according to Daily Briefing columnist Christian Falk, who posted from his account on X.

Falk asserts that Kone is still under the Merseyside giants’ radar in the passage below.

It will be interesting to see whether Liverpool keeps making the rebuilding of their midfield a priority, or if they decide to turn their attention to other areas of their roster next.

Since players like Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah aren’t getting any younger, they’ll soon need to be replaced with more long-term options.

However, Kone is a great talent and one that other major clubs will probably be vying for as well, so it is definitely worth keeping an eye on

Liverpool 11 players who were not involved during international break

During the break, eight different players were required to play 180 minutes for their respective countries, but 11 Reds did not participate in any games in October.

It is incredible to think that we will have to go through this a third time in a month, especially after Andy Robertson suffered a serious injury during the October international break.

Six different Liverpool players registered either a goal or an assist, making the total number of first-team players called up for their country to 16; eight of them played every minute.

The absence of Robertson, Ben Doak, and Luke Chambers has left Jurgen Klopp regretting their injuries.
He will have little time with his entire team before facing Everton on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.

However, a total of 11 senior players were ineligible for selection or were injured and thus did not participate in international action this month.

While Caoimhin Kelleher, Conor Bradley, Thiago, Stefan Bajcetic, and Cody Gakpo were unable to play because of injuries, Adrian, Marcelo Pitaluga, Joe Gomez, Joel Matip, Curtis Jones, and Ryan Gravenberch were all left out.

Kelleher missed the Reds’ final two games before the break because he needed 12 stitches after cutting his knee during practice, but Gravenberch’s absence remains puzzling.

The midfielder turned down the call-up last month in favor of settling in his new home, and the Netherlands, both the senior team and the under-21 squad, have harbored resentment toward him ever since.

    Liverpool gains from their loss!

The midfielder was given time off, just like other players who did not play for their nations, but he will be one of the select few to take advantage of uninterrupted practice leading up to the Merseyside derby.

Joe Gomez and Joel Matip are in a comparable situation and will be strongly considered for the starting spot at Anfield on Saturday.
If Gakpo’s rehabilitation goes according to plan, the same may be true for him.

Following his knee injury at Tottenham, the Dutch forward was said to have “a good chance” of returning after the break.
It is hoped that he will be available for selection against Everton.

One of Liverpool’s top summer targets for next year is made public

The ideal young forward has been identified by Liverpool, who want to bolster their lineup for next summer.

Over the past 12 months, Jurgen Klopp’s team has achieved an amazing rebuild by investing in youth and offloading experienced players.

The club lost Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, and Roberto Firmino in the summer as they moved to Saudi Arabia.

After Wataru Endo, Dominic Szoboszlai, Ryan Gravenberch, and Alexis Mac Allister joined the team last summer, the midfield in particular received the most attention.

The Reds have been connected to a number of possible replacements as a result of reports that Mo Salah may eventually depart for Saudi Arabia.

Johan Bakayoko is one of Klopp’s top priorities for his team to sign next year, the Liverpool Echo reports.

The PSV winger made an impression in the previous season and was on the verge of joining Brentford in the summer, but he turned it down to remain in the Eredivisie.

Bakayoko, who is only 20 years old, would be a great fit for this young Liverpool team and would be a true steal at an estimated £20 million.

The Merseyside team may make a move for a midfielder or defender as early as the January transfer window, according to rumours

Before Liverpool was linked, Ryan Gravenberch already made a huge prediction about Jamal Musiala.

Ryan Gravenberch has high regard for rumored Liverpool transfer target Jamal Musiala

Before Liverpool were linked with a move for Jamal Musiala, Ryan Gravenberch hailed the Bayern Munich and Germany talent as the best young player he has ever played with and predicted him for future Ballon d’or success.
    ‘Gold.

Musiala is reportedly unhappy with his situation under Thomas Tuchel at Bayern – he has not had a permanent place in the starting XI so far this season.

It is therefore assumed that contract negotiations on a contract extension beyond 2026 have stalled and that Liverpool and Jürgen Klopp are in the starting blocks as long-time admirers.

Gravenberch also experienced a similar problem at Allianz, albeit over a shorter period.
He signed for Ajax in the summer of last year, got just three starts in the Bundesliga and found his way to Liverpool in a deadline transfer worth 40 million of pounds sterling last month.
But even though he has only been living, training and playing in Germany for just over twelve months, his former teammate clearly leaves a lasting impression on the Dutchman.

Before Liverpool was linked, Ryan Gravenberch already made a huge prediction about Jamal Musiala.

Responding to fans on the Reds subreddit just under three weeks ago, Gravenberch was asked: “[Who is] the most talented young man you’ve played with?”

”I would opt for Jamal Musiala.
Jamal does crazy things in training and even in games.
He is very good for his age.
I choose Jamal Musiala,” a smile lit up on his face as Gravenberch responded.

Liverpool’s summer recruit was subsequently asked whether the German international could claim football’s most prestigious individual award – the Ballon d’Or.

“I think he can win a Ballon d’Or once in his life,” Gravenberch replied confidently.
“He will continue to improve and get better, that’s likely.
He’s really good with his crazy dribbling.”

Gravenberch’s good form since signing for the Reds not only testifies to the candidate’s qualification for the 2023 Golden Boy Award, but also helps pay tribute to the club and Klopp can serve as a means to stimulate Bayern to entice younger people from gather. at Anfield on the sidelines.

How Liverpool might lineup after Mohamed Salah shock and Leroy Sane swoop

How Liverpool might lineup after Mohamed Salah shock and Leroy Sane swoop

We take a first look at Liverpool’s potential starting line-up for the first match of the 2024/25 season following the latest rumors surrounding Leroy Sane and Mohamed Salah

Liverpool should find a solution to replace Mohamed Salah’s creative and goalscoring talent if he leaves the club next summer.
According to the latest hypothesis, Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane is that man.

The Saudi Pro League’s interest in the Egyptian does not decrease and that is why the Reds are ready to use part of the money earned in the summer of 2024 to get Sane a recording contract, according to the latest rumors.

This has already sparked discussions among supporters.
Firstly, the potential loss of Salah, who continues to maintain high standards well into his thirties, understandably irks some.
After that, many remember the Sane of old: a fast left winger who scored four goals against Liverpool and was a Manchester City player between 2016 and 2020.

But after rupturing his cruciate ligament against the Reds in the 2019 Community Shield match, he was forced to adapt his all-round attacking game to a slower pace when he returned to Germany with Bayern.

Even with this fact, the reality remains that Salah’s current contract with Liverpool only lasts one year, next summer’s transfer window.
If no agreement has been reached by then, be it a new contract or a sale, the club risks losing the man with 192 goals for free.

This would be financially unthinkable, especially as Al-Ittihad had put their cards on the table no less than two months ago with an offer of £150 million.

How Liverpool might lineup after Mohamed Salah shock and Leroy Sane swoop

So, with a decision looming, all possibilities must be explored and analyzed before any conclusions can be drawn. No Salah in the Reds squad is certainly discouraging, but as a proven and title-winning goalscorer wherever he has played, it is not unreasonable to suggest that Jurgen Klopp rekindles his interest in former target Sane.
After all, six league goals in seven games is not a bad result at all so far this season.

The other option would be to perhaps move Diogo Jota to the right wing, as has been done many times in the past.
Alternatively, Ben Doak could be quickly moved into the starting role, although that is a huge responsibility to place on the soon-to-be 18-year-old.

Both ideas are also worth noting.
If you don’t sign anyone, you run the risk of the team’s offensive strength being seriously reduced, because two injuries or suspensions put pressure on the attacker.

Furthermore, André Trindade rumors have resurfaced as Fluminese prepares for the Copa Libertadores final, after which he would be available for sale.
The talented defensive midfielder is expected to be the final piece of the Reds’ midfield jigsaw.

Jamal Musiala recently observed how a move to Liverpool could provide him with exactly what he desires.

Jamal Musiala just realized that a move to Liverpool could give him everything he wants.

During his brief tenure at Liverpool, Ryan Gravenberch rediscovers his love for the game, and his experiences offer Jamal Musiala lessons he can apply.

Due to the reported deadlock in contract negotiations, Jamal Musiala’s future at Bayern Munich is now in doubt.
Liverpool is reportedly interested in taking advantage of the situation.

Rumors of Musiala’s dissatisfaction with his current situation and Jurgen Klopp’s “long-term” interest spread from Germany shortly after the Reds were linked with a club-record swoop for another Bayern star in the form of Leroy Sane.

The inconsistent opportunities the 20-year-old has had so far this season, which have been described as mentally having a “gnawing” effect, appear to have started to plant doubts in his mind.
Musiala’s agent is “currently not talking to the club [Bayern] about extending his contract,” according to Christian Falk of BILD, who said Liverpool are “interested” in him.

Although a hamstring injury hindered the beginning of his campaign, he has only been selected for two starting lineups in the Bundesliga in 2023–24.

Three more opportunities to play off the bench have presented themselves; however, Musiala was unable to play in two of them due to injury, and in the third, he was forced to sit on the bench and watch as his team destroyed VfL Bochum 7-0, which is a nightmare situation for anyone who values attack.

His service outside of the Bundesliga is routine; in Europe, his starting position has been secure.
To assist against Manchester United in the Champions League only to be ineligible for the aforementioned Bochum match three days later, or to score past FC Copenhagen then receive an 18-minute run out five days later, is obviously wearing on the gifted youngster.

However, Allianz Arena annoyances are nothing new, as Ryan Gravenberch’s attraction to Liverpool was sparked by a similar annoyance.

It has to be acknowledged that the circumstances of the two prospects differ somewhat.
In contrast to Musiala, who progressed through the Bavarians’ youth ranks starting at the age of 16, gradually increasing his senior team appearances year by year while gaining more trust from his coaches, Gravenberch achieved a move to one of Europe’s giants after winning titles in his home country only to be used as a bit-part player, starting just three league matches during his year-long stint.

Jamal Musiala just realized that a move to Liverpool could give him everything he wants.

Musiala’s appetite will have likely grown as well, and considering that he has a commendable medal haul of his own, it will be concerning if he is used inconsistently by Thomas Tuchel, a new manager who is laying the groundwork for a longer-term project at the club in his first full season.

However, Gravenberch has already provided advice for any other players in his predicament.
Gravenberch said in his first interview after joining the Reds: “For me, I just had to be relaxed.
My agent and I spoke extensively, and he assured me that everything would work out just fine.

“I simply had to wait for this opportunity while remaining at ease. To be completely honest, I found it challenging to maintain my composure, but now that I’m in Liverpool, I couldn’t be happier.”

The 2023 Golden Boy award contender is formally contracted to Bayern until 2026, but if he heeds his former teammates’ advice—particularly the part about ending up at Anfield and being happier for it—there have been additional words of encouragement from the £40m Dutchman to listen to that may inspire a reunion.

Gravenberch was first questioned about whether Klopp has any different expectations than Tuchel does in the Bundesliga after helping out on his full debut in the Europa League.

However, what came next serves as a reminder of what Klopp can do to develop a player unlike any other.
“No, actually not,” was the honest response.
“He told me feel free to do whatever you want yesterday in training, he said. Of course you must accomplish your tasks, but he concluded by encouraging you to “feel free, show yourself, and be the Ryan you are.”
    Life in Liverpool is excellent.

Gravenberch then scored his first goal for Liverpool earlier this month, this time against Union Saint-Gilloise in the Europa League.
The 21-year-old responded when asked what inspired his newfound form, “I think the minutes, just the minutes.
Giving a player playing time boosts their confidence, and I believe that is all.

A further factor that might influence Musiala, as it has so many others over the years, was the midfielder’s final address to the Anfield crowd that evening.
Gravenberch continued, “I was extremely grateful that they gave me such a good feeling, and I want to give something back to them.”

The primary justification for Ryan Gravenberch's summertime move to Liverpool is revealed.

This summer, Ryan Gravenberch was transferred from Bayern Munich to Liverpool as part of Jurgen Klopp’s overhaul of the midfield.

On Deadline Day this summer, the Reds acquired the Dutch star from the Bundesliga team as part of a £34 point 2 million deal. The 21-year-old had grown impatient with his limited playing time in Munich as a member of the German champions.

Gravenberch consequently made the decision to switch to Anfield, and the midfielder gave an explanation for his decision. The Reds star stated via Fabrizio Romano that Klopp was crucial in getting him to sign with Liverpool.
I had a positive impression of him when we spoke earlier. I want you, he told me.

He explained everything and gave me his plans, which made me feel like my choice was the right one.

Despite not being a starter, Gravenberch has so far dazzled in his first seven games, recording one goal and two assists.
With his performance against Union Saint-Gilloise being the standout, the Dutch star has excelled in cup competitions.

The German coach is the primary reason the 21-year-old joined the Premier League powerhouses, so he will be aiming to start for Klopp’s squad for the remainder of the campaign.

Liverpool has been informed that a £87 million winger could succeed Mohamed Salah.

    Khvicha Kvaratskhelia

Pundit Stephen Warnock has named “the only player” who could potentially replace Mohamed Salah at Liverpool.

Speculation is rife over Salah’s future at Anfield following strong interest from the Saudi Pro League over the summer.

Al Ittihad ultimately saw a bid of around £150m rejected by Liverpool.
And when Darren Bent asked on TalkSPORT whether he would sell the Egyptian for that kind of fee in the near future, former Red Warnock said there should be someone lined up to replace Salah – and that he would offer the man who he thinks he can do it.

“I wouldn’t sell him this season, maybe next, but you have to have someone on the pitch,” began the expert.
“The only player that comes to mind is Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Napoli.

“He’s the only player you look at and think ‘young, potential, he can play’, but he’s a left wing player, could he play on the right?

“[Dominik] Szoboszlai, he played there in Leipzig, will he play higher if he goes? The scouting network won’t be active now, right, knowing that Salah is getting closer to that point.”

    Khvicha Kvaratskhelia

Liverpool advised to go for Kvara

Last year at this time not many people were aware of the magical quality of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

But fast forward 12 months and he could face any team in the world.
He may have faded towards the end of the season, but he was still a key factor in Napoli’s first Scudetto win in 33 years.

Twelve goals and ten assists in Serie A have everyone talking about “Kvaradona”, and Europe’s traditional elite are all connected, including Liverpool.

So far, Napoli are determined to keep the 22-year-old.
There was talk of a figure of 87 million pounds needed to remove him from southern Italy.
However, if Liverpool were to sell Salah, raising that kind of money wouldn’t be a big deal.
If the Reds’ recruitment team – like Warnock – believed Kvaratskhelia was the right man to replace Mo, they would certainly be happy to pay.

Traditionally, however, Liverpool have not always chosen the most obvious option.
And even if, as Warnock says, the Georgian is more of a left-footed player than a right-handed one, he would still be a fairly obvious and successful signing.

If the Reds are convinced, it would be no surprise if they chose Kvara as Salah’s potential successor. But we think a more natural replacement in the form of Pedro Neto might be a better bet for now.

According to sources, Liverpool prioritizes the Andre deal in January.after bid submitted

Prior to the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider that Liverpool is still interested in signing Fluminense midfielder Andre.

The Reds underwent a significant midfield rebuild in the summer, but there is still work to be done, as another offer for the 22-year-old is anticipated in the winter.

In August, Football Insider reported that Liverpool had multiple offers for Andre from Fluminense rejected.

The Merseysiders, however, won’t give up trying to sign the midfielder in January and will make another push.

On Monday (9 October), Football Insider reported that Liverpool would prioritize signing Andre over a move for Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie.

Fluminense wanted to hold onto the midfielder until the mid-season transfer window as they strive to become the first team to ever win the Copa Libertadores.

They have since advanced to the competition’s final, which will take place on November 4 in Brazil against the legendary Boca Juniors soccer team from Argentina.

With the Brazilian season not expected to end until December, Andre has made 48 appearances in all leagues this year, scoring once.

Since making his professional debut in September 2020, he has played a total of 156 games for his boyhood club Fluminense.

The 22-year-old’s contract is valid until December 2026.

Andre made his senior debut for Brazil against Senegal earlier this year and was on the team for their matches last month.

Fourth-placed Liverpool in the Premier League added midfielders Wataru Endo, Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Ryan Gravenberch during the summer transfer window.

After Liverpool struck a deal that changed the game, FSG’s £74 million plan was made public.

Liverpool now looking to sign £50m player who Pep Guardiola says is ‘really, really good’

Liverpool is thinking about renewing their pursuit of Pedro Neto, a forward of Wolves.

For the past two years or so, the Reds have been intermittently linked with a move for Neto. But since his serious injury at Molineux derailed him, nothing has ever appeared particularly promising.

But, according to Football Transfers, this summer, everything might change.
In the event that Mohamed Salah decides to move to Saudi Arabia, they contend that Neto has been “added to their wish-list” due to his outstanding start to the Premier League season.

Liverpool is said to have had the 23-year-old “under consideration” as a potential Salah replacement after having him “on their radar” for “some time.”.

To get Neto out of Wolves, though, doesn’t seem to be going to be an easy task.
According to reports, Liverpool is “unhappy” with how their Premier League rivals value the Portugal international.

According to reports, Anfield has the impression that players who are of interest to them are having their asking prices raised by £20 million as a result of the potential sale of Mohamed Salah.
It is suggested that this also takes into account Neto’s estimation.

But Wolves’ wide receiver isn’t the only player Liverpool is considering. Federico Chiesa and another player who has not been identified are reportedly also being taken into consideration.

Liverpool is debating moving for Neto.

Liverpool now looking to sign £50m player who Pep Guardiola says is ‘really, really good’

Neto ought to be considered if Liverpool finds itself needing to replace Salah in the upcoming campaign.

The Egyptian may eventually succeed Mo, even if the Reds are able to hold onto him once more.

At the age of 23, Neto is now beginning to display the form he has consistently threatened.
This season, the Portuguese has one goal and four assists in seven Premier League games.
One of those who was impressed is Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, who just last week described the forward as a “really, really good player” [Reuters].

With an incredible display of wing-play on Saturday, Neto returned Pep’s favor by setting up Ruben Dias’ own goal in the opening period.

Neto is a unique left-footed wide player with Premier League experience who is still developing.
Wolves allegedly set their No. 1 player’s price at £50 million in the summer of 2022.
7 [Metro], but the cost of living shouldn’t deter Liverpool.

That valuation may yet increase if he maintains his excellent performance.
According to what was previously stated, if the Reds spend a lot of money on Salah, they might also have to pay more.

Neto appears to be a potentially excellent candidate at the moment, though, in either case.
When Mo is set aside, a front-three of Neto, Nunez, and Diaz appears to have what it takes to guide Liverpool into a promising new era

Ryan Gravenberch offers Jürgen Klopp something other signings don't as Liverpool 2.0 takes shape

Morgan O’Sullivan, a Florida-based Liverpool supporter, gives us his opinion on all the most recent Reds news in advance of Leicester, including how Jürgen Klopp’s revamped squad is performing.

Manchester City eliminated Liverpool from the Carabao Cup last year, but the club is back in the competition this year hoping to win back the trophy it won in 2022.
By defeating Newcastle United to claim the victory, Manchester United won it the previous year.

Prior to the match, we spoke with Florida-based Liverpool supporter Morgan O’Sullivan about the Reds, including how the newcomers are adjusting and how Jürgen Klopp’s 2.0 version of the team is taking shape.

Today’s Leicester City. Are you anticipating a team that is similar to the one that faced LASK and confident of victory?

Yes, hopefully we will ring the changes once more tonight. It’s amazing how a few successful games can alter a club’s entire culture.

From the disappointment of the previous season and the uncertainty of the summer, we have moved to a growing optimism about a title challenge this year.

We have options all over the field and young players who are developing at the same time, having previously been a club with a depleted midfield.

This ongoing evolution of our team gives us great hope for the current season and the years to come, if the changes over the summer were regarded as a revolution.

We should win tonight, but caution is advised because historically, Liverpool has viewed Leicester as something of a bogey team.

At Anfield today, Ryan Gravenberch should give us another look at what he can do for Liverpool. What do you think he has accomplished so far, and what do you hope he will accomplish in the future?

Ryan Gravenberch offers Jürgen Klopp something other signings don't as Liverpool 2.0 takes shape

Gravenberch has so far displayed great energy and is able to move around the field with ease. He brings mobility to the team that some of our other signings might not have, and he ought to be a great addition. It will be interesting to see how he joins the team and whether there will be a gradual adjustment over the course of the season or if he will be thrust into the starting lineup right away after a few weeks.

So far, Dominik Szoboszlai has excelled.
How do you think he and Alexis MacAllister have performed as Liverpool players up to now?

They’ve both gotten off to great starts. Szoboszlai is the center of attention, but Mac Alister is progressively integrating himself into the background.

While not always performing at his peak, he has still given the team another dimension despite being asked to fill a few positions in the early going.

Both of the new signings should perform at an even higher level once the manager has figured out our ideal midfield, which I still believe he is still trying to do.

    Any additional points to make?

We are back in the league cup tonight, and even though it is ultimately the lowest honor on the totem pole, it is crucial that we win because it will open up more opportunities for players like Gravenberch, Caoimhn Kelleher, Ben Doak, and others.

Ryan Gravenberch makes an impression in his first start for Liverpool, according to Theo Squires after the team’s away Europa League match against LASK.

Throughout the course of what would turn out to be his only season in Germany, Ryan Gravenberch frequently expressed his displeasure with Bayern Munich.

The Netherlands international, who was signed from Ajax last summer, may have won the Bundesliga in Bavaria, but the ambitious 21-year-old felt that five Bundesliga starts and one Champions League match was not enough after making 33 appearances in all competitions the previous season.

Long-time Liverpool target, Bayern insisted otherwise when the two teams squared off in preseason, but an exit in the summer still seemed likely.

The writing was on the wall when he played just nine minutes in the first three games for the German giants.

In only two games, Jurgen Klopp would give the Dutchman what he had been routinely denied in Germany.

After spending a season on the periphery in Bavaria, Gravenberch could have been excused for being a little rusty and needing some time to adjust to life in Klopp’s squad.

It was equally understandable why he blew hot and cold in the first half of his full Reds debut after getting kicked black and blue by LASK defenders.

He linked up well with his new teammates in the final third, showing off an exquisite touch and always posing a threat when charging forward with the ball.

When space opened up on the box, he played a clever one-two with Harvey Elliott, with whom he seems to have connected right away, but was stopped in his tracks by a last-ditch tackle.

But more than once, as he became agitated for various reasons, he lost control to the hosts.
He slammed the ground in annoyance after one lost ball that was no longer in play, but Elliott quickly intervened to encourage his new teammate to brush it off.

He did precisely that following the break as the Dutchman’s moment of magic gave Liverpool the victory.

When Nunez successfully held the ball up on the halfway line and passed it to Elliott, Gravenberch sprinted down the right flank after catching a through ball and whipped a lethal low cross for Luis Diaz to score.

It was obvious to all to see how happy Gravenberch was as he danced and jumped around with the Colombian.
He has a new home now that he hasn’t enjoyed football for a year.

Just two minutes prior to the goal, Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis MacAllister were added, allowing Klopp to fully utilize his new midfield trio, which cost £130 million. However, just 13 minutes later Gravenberch’s injury forced him off the field, ending their time on the field together.

The notion is that as the Dutch international’s time with the Reds progresses, he will change and become a deeper midfielder. But in a box midfield setting, he was free to play to his strengths here.

Along with Elliott, the duo demonstrated just how well the setup can accommodate such adaptable, attacking players.

One can only hope that Gravenberch’s departure was merely preventative.
Since Klopp has been eager to work with the Dutchman, he will be licking his lips after this encouraging debut that may have given Bayern a glimpse of what they might have been.

Liverpool’s revamped midfield is finished following the summer’s work.
However, this 3-1 victory in Linz is just the beginning after just 13 minutes of combined play.

Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz, and Mohamed Salah score for Jurgen Klopp’s team as they defeat their Austrian rivals, LASK, 1-3.

As they began their Europa League campaign with victory over LASK, Liverpool came from behind to win for the fourth time in their previous five games.

The fact that Florian Flecker scored from the edge of the box to put Liverpool down 1-0 at the half must have worried Jurgen Klopp, who made 11 changes to his starting lineup.
It took a stroke of luck for the breakthrough after Darwin Nunez saw his point-blank range header brilliantly blocked by LASK goalkeeper Tobias Lawal.

Nunez converted the ensuing penalty kick into the corner after Luis Diaz was brought down in the area to tie Liverpool at 1-1.
When Ryan Gravenberch crossed low for Diaz to score on the break, they were in front seven minutes later.

Although Mohamed Salah scored a beautiful late goal for Liverpool, it was not classic play, and Gravenberch limping off won’t help matters. Klopp brought in the big guns off the bench to easily hold off their Austrian opponents for the three points.

    Starting slowly.

    Liverpool struggle with sluggish starts.
Due diligence on the part of LASK led to the use of two blockers to give Flecker room on the edge of the box.
He made good use of it, beating Caoimhin Kelleher with an excellent effort.

Klopp is aware of the bigger problem at hand, though, as this was Liverpool’s fourth first-half goal conceded in their previous five games.
The lead against the Reds was taken by LASK along with Bournemouth (three minutes), Newcastle (25 minutes), and Wolves (7 minutes).

Liverpool is making it difficult for themselves to win even though they rallied to win all three of those games. That is not a viable strategy.
Klopp must address it because it is beginning to appear to be much more than a coincidence.

    Doak exudes confidence.

Doak, who started for Liverpool on Thursday night, started a European game as the fourth-youngest player ever.

Although his youth may have suggested his status, observing him would not have revealed his lack of experience.

It’s understandable why Doak has Liverpool supporters buzzing.
On the right wing, the young Scot is a ball of energy who shone in Austria right away.

He ran at his man relentlessly, completely unafraid of dropping the ball.
He displays why he has Klopp’s trust through his quick feet and brisk burst of speed.
He will need to be patient as Mohamed Salah’s understudy, but he undoubtedly brings something unique to the table. He was removed from the game in the 60th minute after doing well.

    Gravenberch eager to please

Because of his dissatisfaction with his limited playing time at Bayern Munich, Gravenberch left for Liverpool.
He was promised to Liverpool for £34 million, but he has had to wait to make his debut.

He wanted to impress his new manager, and that was immediately apparent.
He was seen cursing the ground during a period of the first half when he lost possession of the ball several times in a row.

Gravenberch was assigned to a more liberated No. 8 position, which he appeared to enjoy, with fellow newcomer Wataru Endo serving as the midfield’s anchor. The 21-year-old has a strong engine and an eye for the ball; before earning his first assist for Liverpool by bursting forward on the break and crossing for Diaz to score, he made three crucial passes.

Later, when he burst forward and botched a three-on-three opportunity with an errant pass, his eagerness did come across as trying a little too hard. He ran himself into the ground and was replaced shortly after.
Liverpool will be hoping it’s nothing serious after he limped gingerly off the field.

The team that defeated Wolves 3-1 over the weekend underwent 11 changes under Klopp, who also mentioned the need for rotation in his pre-game interview.
He told TNT Sports, “We made the changes because we want to give everything in this competition.”.

Doak, Gravenberch, and a recovered Stefan Bajcetic all had opportunities, but they failed to seize them in the opening period.
Nunez’s clear-cut header was the only shot on goal for Liverpool, and Klopp must have been unsure of the strength of his team at the time.

However, Liverpool took charge as LASK grew drained and Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Joe Gomez, and Salah came off the bench.

They will need their supporting players to perform better in the future as the Thursday-Sunday routine sets in.

    Quality is highlighted by Salah.

Three of Liverpool’s seasoned attackers made the difference in a game that was supposed to be about the fringe players rising to the occasion.

Nunez scored from the penalty spot, Diaz completed a quick counterattack, and Salah added the finishing touch by gliding through the defense and toe-poking in a third goal.
It was all about winning, and only winning, so Klopp won’t mind.

However, it demonstrates the gap between the starters’ attackers and their back-ups, though LASK’s drained legs should also be taken into account.

Liverpool news: Jurgen Klopp gives Ryan Gravenberch injury update as he makes history

Gravenberch made his first Liverpool start since his £34 million move from Bayern Munich on transfer deadline day.
He made a good impression by going up and down the pitch and recording his first assist.

But it looked like his full debut may have been ruined when he went down in the second half after a strong run forward.
Salah was called from the bench as Gravenberch cautiously walked away

Luckily Klopp confirmed that it was nothing serious for the 21-year-old midfielder.
He told TNT Sports after the match that the Dutchman was suffering from cramps after a long period without regular playing time.
“He told me he had a cramp and that makes sense,” he said.
“I think it was his first start in a long time.”

Luis Dáz scored the game-winning goal after winning the penalty kick that brought Liverpool back into the match.

    LOSERS

Neither Wataru End nor Ben Doak were successful in claiming the right wing position for themselves in the Europa League.
Both players failed to make their case for starting more Premier League games in holding midfield.

    PLAYER RATINGS

    Caoimhn Kelleher received a 6/10.

The first shot, the only one he faced in the first half, was helpless in his hands.
got down well to block another attempt from range, this time from Havel, just before the hour mark.

    Stefan Bajčetić (off 61′) — 5/10.

He was targeted by the LASK press early on and was a little sloppy with the ball in the first half due to his unfamiliar role.
Naturally, he didn’t appear to be entirely at ease when attacking down the right wing.
    Booked.

End, who was only making his second start for the Reds, remained largely unnoticed.
In truth, there wasn’t much to write home about before he came off; this game was all about what he could offer in possession.

Harvey Elliott: 6 out of 10.

After perfectly placing a cross to find Nez, he might have been due an assist, but it was his pass to Bajeti that broke down the defense and resulted in the penalty.

    (7/10) Ryan Gravenberch (off 75′) 7/10

While LASK struggled to stop Gravenberch fairly, he drew a lot of fouls and made a few errant passes before perfectly positioning Daz with a low cross.

In a two-on-one situation, he brought the ball forward and had the opportunity to score another goal, but he blundered. 15 minutes before the end, went down and hobbled away.

    Ben Doak(off 61′) 5/10.

In the first period, Doak had one or two shining moments, but overall, the teen’s debut was disappointing.
