Sadio Mane shares significant insights about Saudi football and names the former Liverpool teammate he stays in touch with.

Former Liverpool striker Sadio Mane asserts that the Saudi Pro League has reached an “impressive” level, commenting on his enduring friendship with ex-Liverpool teammate Gini Wijnaldum.

Mane, now in his second season with Al-Nassr after a challenging year at Bayern Munich following his departure from Liverpool in 2022, noted the growing presence of former Anfield players in the league, including Wijnaldum, Roberto Firmino, and Fabinho. Steven Gerrard also manages Al-Ettifaq, where Jordan Henderson played before moving to Ajax.

With ongoing speculation about Mohamed Salah’s potential lucrative transfer to the league, which could see him available for free at the end of the season, Mane is optimistic about the league’s growth. He pointed out that Al-Hilal remains a dominant force, having gone unbeaten last season and currently leading without a loss.

Mane stated, “You can see it, the level is impressive now. I’d even say it’s been since last year, but especially this year, too, as every team has strengthened in level. I also think it’s good for the league and will give more competitiveness and, of course, it’s what football fans expect, so it’s beneficial for the championship.”

Reflecting on his relationship with Wijnaldum, who joined Gerrard at Al-Ettifaq, Mane shared: “Gini is one of my very good friends. And (with) Gini, it’s more than football, because our relationship came naturally. When I was in Liverpool, we came at the same time, and he is this kind of person that once he is in the team he becomes friends with everybody. Everybody likes him.”

Mane continued, “He is special, and this is the reason when I was there we’ve been good friends – and he was always in my house. Sometimes he would call me to come to my house, and I’m like ‘No, not yet. Get out of here!’. He always wants to make fun, and I like this about him. He has a good heart; I can speak about him until tomorrow non-stop. He is amazing and we’re still keeping contact. And that’s really important.”

According to report – Liverpool’s chances of signing £75m star in January improve, player desires move to Anfield

Fabrizio Romano reports that Arne Slot is thrilled with the 'fantastic' Liverpool player

Liverpool’s struggle to secure a new center-back for two consecutive years is well-documented. While they have managed with the emergence of Jarell Quansah, this may pose future challenges.

Currently, Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate are the preferred center-back duo, with Quansah providing backup. Joe Gomez, a fan favorite, is rarely utilized these days.

Therefore, acquiring a new center-back is crucial for the Reds. Recent reports suggest that Liverpool is interested in signing Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, who is also keen on a move to Anfield.

According to TBR Football, Liverpool’s pursuit of the 24-year-old has gained momentum, as Crystal Palace may consider selling him in January if he does not agree to a new contract before his current deal expires in 2026.

For a long time, England’s center-back situation revolved around John Stones and Harry Maguire, leaving the third spot open. With Maguire injured for the Euros, Guehi was selected and proved to be one of the best performers, at times outshining Stones. However, he has struggled to replicate that form with Palace this season, despite having the chance to captain the team.

It remains uncertain if Liverpool will make a formal offer for Guehi in January, but securing him would be a significant move for the club. Only time will reveal if the 24-year-old will play at Anfield in the future.

Sadio Mane, a legend of Liverpool, seems to be moving again. The 32-year-old, who is still highly regarded at Anfield, is no longer desired

Sadio Mane, a legend of Liverpool, seems to be moving again. The 32-year-old, who is still highly regarded at Anfield, is no longer desired by Al-Nassr, a Saudi Arabian team.

Mane played a major role in Liverpool’s success during his tenure, helping the team win both the Premier League and the Champions League.

But Mane’s trip hasn’t been the best since he left the Reds to join Bayern Munich in June 2022. His time in Bavaria was short-lived as he joined the Saudi Pro League the previous summer.

Al-Nassr officials are currently negotiating a season-long loan with rivals Al-Ittihad, according to a report from Okaz.

    Maney’s Wages: An obstacle

though Besiktas and Fenerbahce of Turkey expressed interest in signing Mane, the likelihood of his staying in the Saudi League is still strong despite early negotiations between Al-Nassr and Al-Qadisiyah over a transaction that finally fell through.

Sadio Mane, a legend of Liverpool, seems to be moving again. The 32-year-old, who is still highly regarded at Anfield, is no longer desired

The Senegalese forward, who scored 13 goals and provided eight assists in 32 Pro League games last season, has not been able to regain the form that made him a standout at Liverpool. Al-Ittihad has shown interest in the player.

However, this move is predicated on Mane agreeing to a large wage cut from his present 25 million euros annual compensation, a price Al-Ittihad feel exorbitant for the time-being.

That said, to cover Mane’s wage, Al-Ittihad are apparently making efforts to transfer Jota and Luiz Felipe.

    IMPORTANT CHANGES COMING AT AL-NASSR

Mane’s prospective transfer to Al-Ittihad coincides with major changes at his present club, including a shift in the dug-out, as they try to catch up to champions Al-Hilal.

Gian Piero Gasperini, the manager of Atalanta, and Stefano Pioli, the former AC Milan coach, are reportedly among the leading contenders to succeed Luis Castro.

Even so, Mane’s legacy at Liverpool is unblemished as he mulls over his future move. But whether or not he can turn his career around and find stability in his current situation will depend greatly on what happens in the upcoming weeks.

Liverpool have a’set to be submitted’ bid for $44 million-rated Crysensio Summerville, while Borussia Dortmund are vying for a Juventus wonderkid.

At this point, almost everyone thinks that Liverpool has to buy a center-back, but signing Lille sensation Leny Yoro, who prefers to play for Real Madrid, may be impossible.

While Liverpool needs to find a replacement for the 18-year-old defender, the club should also search for a top-tier attacker to join its ranks. With the Champions League returning to Anfield next season, there will be more games than ever, giving Arne Slot plenty of alternatives.

    Crysencio Summerville – [Leeds United]

Liverpool and Chelsea are both’set to launch bids’ for Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville during the summer transfer window, Leeds Live reports. The 22-year-old Dutchman scored 20 goals and assisted nine others last season, but he was playing in the second division, so it’s unclear whether those figures will translate to the Premier League.

Summerville is likely to play for Leeds next year, despite the fact that the club was not promoted back to the top division. He is projected to attract a transfer price of approximately $44 million (£35 million/€41 million).

Liverpool.com says: It would be great if Liverpool could add further depth to its assault this summer, but Summerville would cost $44 million. There is no assurance that he will immediately adjust to playing at a higher level.

    Kenan Yildiz [Juventus]

    Crysensio Summerville

Liverpool had previously been linked with a deal for Juventus wonderkid Kenan Yildiz, and La Gazzetta Dello Sport (print edition via Paisley Gates) reports that the adolescent is once again on the club’s radar this summer. Last season, the Turk scored four times in ten starts.

Yildiz is only 19 years old, but Juventus wants to sign him to a longer-term contract since other clubs are interested. According to the source, Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund are both interested in signing him if he becomes available.

According to Liverpool.com, Yildiz is certainly skilled, but he is not yet ready to join the first squad. That is what Liverpool requires this summer: a player capable of stepping into the starting lineup immediately.

Amidst acclaim for him as a “living legend,” Sadio Mané has proposed to be Jürgen Klopp’s next manager after Liverpool.

Amidst acclaim for him as a "living legend," Sadio Mané has proposed to be Jürgen Klopp's next manager after Liverpool.

After departing Anfield, Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp is anticipated to take a hiatus from the position. Sadio Mané, the former star of the Reds, offered a cheeky remark regarding a new duty.

When Liverpool began their historic Premier League title run, Sadio Mané knew without a doubt who was to blame. The Senegalese star, who had won the Champions League the previous year, was a potent goal scorer for Liverpool, combining with Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah to create a devastating onslaught.

Mané, however, asserted that Liverpool’s ascent to the top of the Premier League was mostly down to Jürgen Klopp. In November 2019, he stated in an interview with the team’s official monthly magazine: “Everyone can see what he has done for this club, for this city, and the quality he has as a manager.” He is the best manager in the world, in my opinion, even if there are many excellent ones.”

Mané and Klopp would win the Premier League title at the end of that campaign, and before the forward went for Bayern Munich in 2022, additional hardware would be awarded.

He currently plays for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, but he is getting ready for life after football as he approaches his 32nd birthday next month. Mané finished buying Bourges Foot 18 in the French fourth tier in October. In the hopes that his team can advance through the leagues, he is aiming high.

Amidst acclaim for him as a "living legend," Sadio Mané has proposed to be Jürgen Klopp's next manager after Liverpool.

Furthermore, he hasn’t ruled out luring his erstwhile manager back into the fold after leaving Liverpool. Speaking to the French press through Foot Mercato, Mané declared: “He is a living legend, a great man who has done so much for Liverpool.” Perhaps he will visit us! He had a lasting impression on the world of football and greatly aided in my personal growth.

Mané’s lighthearted suggestion is hardly likely to make Klopp reevaluate his long-term goals. The Reds manager has stated that he will step away from management for at least a year after leaving Merseyside, while retirement is still an option.

In the unlikely event that the European Championships this summer go as planned, he has been connected to the German national team. After the competition, Julian Nagelsmann’s contract expires, and SportBILD revealed last month that Klopp is still the German FA’s “dream” replacement.

As a fan at the tournament, Klopp will be closely monitoring the performances of his own country. The Daily Mail adds that although TV networks BBC and ITV were eager to sign him, those efforts are probably doomed.

According to Liverpool.com; Mané is highly respected by his previous manager, who assisted in transforming him from a mediocre Premier League player into a global superstar. Although he is unlikely to convince Klopp to take over the French fourth division, he might yet consult the German. Nevertheless, whomever succeeds in hiring Klopp in the future will get one of the best ever.

‘This is sad’ – Liverpool ace Sadio Mane responds over Saudi transfer with ‘more important’ claim

A year after joining Bayern Munich from Liverpool, the 31-year-old relocated to Saudi Arabia and expressed satisfaction

A year after joining Bayern Munich from Liverpool, the 31-year-old relocated to Saudi Arabia and expressed satisfaction with his transfer decision.

Reacting to claims that he is receiving less attention in Saudi Arabia than he would have if he had stayed in one of the top five leagues in Europe, Sadio Mane has shown his class.

The winger stated that he is content with Al-Nassr and added that the Pro League’s calibre is attracting attention from all around the world. Less than a year after leaving Liverpool, in August, Mane moved to Saudi Arabia from Bayern Munich.

Senegal defeated Cameroon 3-1 on Friday, earning a spot in the Africa Cup of Nations knockout round with one match remaining thanks to the 31-year-old’s third goal. After the game, Mane charged that media were unaware of the global attention the Saudi Pro League is receiving.

When asked if he has received less attention since moving to Al-Nassr, Mane responded, “You assume that since I’m not in Europe. I’m sorry about that, guys. Since it makes no difference to you guys if you don’t play in Europe. I’m not involved in football anymore.

“Thankfully, I can state that the Saudi League is a very good league that is watched by people all over the world. Therefore, for me, the most important thing is to make sure I’m having fun and giving it my all every minute. The rest is irrelevant to me.”

In 26 games this season with Al-Nassr, Mane has scored 12 goals, eight of which have come in the Pro League. Many have questioned the quality of the division in light of the first wave of high-profile signings, but Mane’s clubmate Cristiano Ronaldo has defended it.

“In all honesty, I don’t think the Saudi League is any worse than the French league,” declared Ronaldo, who throughout his career has played in Spain, England, Portugal, and Italy but never in France.

“I believe there are two or three good teams in the French league.” I believe there is now more competition in Saudi. It’s just my perspective, and I played there for a year, so I know what I’m talking about, but they can say whatever they want. However, I believe that we are currently superior than [the] French league and that we are continually improving.”

18-year-old wonder kid to spark bidding battle between Liverpool and Barcelona

    Momodou Sonko

Because of their recent success in the Premier League, Liverpool is once again a very desirable place for football players to play.

Due to the Reds’ rich heritage, they will always hold a unique place in English football lore, and Jurgen Klopp hopes to carry on the legendary Anfield era.

Against the backdrop of the Covid epidemic, the German team won their first Premier League title and their first English top flight victory in thirty years, but they were unable to raise the trophy in front of their supporters.

Liverpool lost a number of players, mostly from midfield, last summer, and ended up in the Europa League instead of its “big brother,” the Champions League, after an unremarkable 2022–2023 season.

But any concerns the Anfield supporters may have had about the team’s immediate future have been immediately allayed as Klopp has the team doing incredibly well once more.

There are many reasons to think that this could be another historic season, on par with those in the more distant and recent past. Liverpool is currently atop the Premier League table based solely on merit, and they have an advantage going into the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final. They also appear very confident in Europe.

In light of this, Fichajes reports that the Reds will compete with Barcelona for the signature of highly regarded 18-year-old Momodou Sonko, who will join for Swedish team BK Hacken for just €10 million.

Jeremy Doku met Jurgen Klopp and offered Mohamed Salah a shirt -but Sadio Mane seemed to dissuade him from joining Liverpool.
Five years ago Jurgen Klopp thought he would sign Jeremy Doku as a possible replacement for Sadio Mane – but the ex-Liverpool star has succumbed to the decision.

And now the Reds boss has to deal with the Belgian winger who is set to move to Manchester City.

talkSPORT understands the 21-year-old is on his way to the Etihad after agreeing a £55million transfer fee with Rennes.

However, it was Liverpool who were the first to secure his services as it looked like they had beaten Arsenal and Chelsea to move Anderlecht forward in 2018.

After being allowed to speak to the then 15-year-old, Doku was given a tour of the club’s former training ground in Melwood. He also spoke to boss Klopp and then Under-18 manager Steven Gerrard, and was even given a signed shirt by Mohamed Salah.

But it was an interview with Mane, whose place he would take in the future, that convinced him to stay at Anderlecht.

Speaking to Ouest-France in 2021, Doku said of the proposed transfer: “My 16th birthday was approaching, the age where you can sign a professional contract.

Jeremy Doku met Jurgen Klopp and offered Mohamed Salah a shirt -but Sadio Mane seemed to dissuade him from joining Liverpool.

“Many teams came to me: Liverpool had the most concrete interest, but there were also Arsenal and Chelsea.

“I went with my mom and dad and we got a tour of the stadium, the training ground and even the school I was going to. “They gave me a shirt autographed by Salah and I got to know the players.

“I had the chance to consult with Jurgen and also with Gerrard, we watched some video moments and he talked about the development.

“We met players, [Simon] Mignolet because he was Belgian, [Georginio] Wijnaldum from Holland.

“I talked a lot with Mane, but we didn’t really talk about football. We talked about everything. “He told me that I was young, that I still had time…he didn’t want to convince me or tell me: ‘Come here, you will succeed.’”

Doku added: “I preferred to be careful. I know what my trajectory should have been like.

“That’s why I said to myself at 15 that it was serious because I saw my career. I know where to go and at that moment I knew that I had to stay at Anderlecht.

“Whenever people ask me if I regret it I always say no because if Liverpool came to me when I was 15 and they love me they will come back later for sure.” It’s up to me to play well.”

The 16-capped international finally joined Rennes in 2020 for a club record fee of £25.5m, scoring 12 goals in 91 appearances in all competitions for the French side.

Erik ten Hag faces a problem Liverpool have already solved as PSG offer $55m for Manchester United goal
Liverpool rivals round-up: Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is complaining about the problems his nemesis has already faced in the transfer market.

With just over a month to go until the summer transfer window, Liverpool are fourth of the Premier League’s big six in terms of total spending.

The Reds have so far spent around $122m (£95m/€111m) on deals for Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister and RB Leipzig’s Dominik Szoboszlai, but their midfield overhaul could still continue with a move to Southampton Romeo Lavia.

It’s Arsenal who have invested the most money to date, breaking the UK transfer record by signing Declan Rice from West Ham for $135m (£105m/€123m) and also spending heavily on Chelsea’s Kai Havertz and Ajax. Jurriën Timber’s takes his spend to around $257m (£200m / €234m)

Spurs are next, albeit far behind at $149m (£116m/€136m), having added Leicester City’s James Maddison and Empoli’s Guglielmo Vicario to its ranks and made transfers for Pedro Porro and Dejan Kulusevski permanently.

Manchester United are not too far ahead of Liverpool with $129m (£100m/€117m), moving up the table after recruiting Inter Milan’s Andre Onana this week to add to his earlier attack on Chelsea’s Mason Mount. Chelsea themselves are level with Jurgen Klopp’s side having signed Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig, Nicolas Jackson from Villareal and Ângelo from Santos, while three-time winners Manchester City are a distant second at $39m (£39m). ) and 14th in the league at €30m/€35m. ) Mateo Kovačić (Chelsea) his only new purchase to date.

Here, Liverpool.com takes a look at other top teams in the Premier League and across Europe for an overview of what’s going on at other clubs.

PSG offer Manchester United to target Rasmus Højlund
Erik ten Hag faces a problem Liverpool have already solved as PSG offer $55m for Manchester United goal
According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Paris Saint-Germain have made a rival bid for Manchester United target Rasmus Højlund.

PSG have made a bid of $55m (£43m/€50m) for the 20-year-old, the same amount Manchester United announced as an upfront payment.

Crucially, the Red Devils are also offering to pay Atalanta an additional $11m (£8.6m/€10m) in surcharges, which should theoretically work in their favour. The PSG options in the number nine option seem a little limited, with Kylian Mbappé, perhaps on the road to the outside and Mauro Icardi will appeal unlikely after the season on loan in Galatasaray. Hugo Ekitiké lets the 21 year old signed by Reims last summer.

Liverpool.com says: Manchester United can win the race for Højlund, but it is not an agreement that will necessarily influence their competitors.

While the Dane of last season scored a laudable 16 goals in 42 performances in all games, it is still quite inexperienced, after playing only 32 games in one of the first five European competitions after transferring the Austrian dress Sturm Graz last summer.

Consequently, it may take some time before it can touch the elite numbers at Old Trafford, and this does not seem the type of signature that Manchester United will make a candidate for the Premier League trophy. Erik ten Hag admits two Man Utd weaknesses
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has said his side need to improve their pressing and finishing after losing 2-0 to Real Madrid in pre-season.

An early goal from Jude Bellingham and a late strike from Joselu condemned United to defeat at NRG Stadium in Houston as Ten Hag’s men completed the third of their four pre-season games in the United States.

Manchester United, starting with Marcus Rashford at the helm, failed to score despite shooting 15 times throughout the match, as many as Real.

Ten Hag says his side need to be more precise in front of goal and pressing more effectively and insists the club are working hard to bring in a new striker as there are no experienced pros with the No.9 available for him.
    moment.

“Two things: pressing can be better from the start and score,” he said of MEN. “And I think we need more players who can play one-on-one.

“We had the situations: it was Rashford, Scott McTominay, [Alejandro] Garnacho, you have to score. It’s always hard to see, but we work 24/7. We do a lot at the club, all the power to stay Together.

“We never talk about players under contract with another club. We have our goals, we are there 24/7, we are there, with the right player to sign with us.”

Erik ten Hag faces a problem Liverpool have already solved as PSG offer $55m for Manchester United goal
Liverpool.com says: When it comes to firepower, Liverpool are certainly not worried. The Reds have lost Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mané in the last 12 months, but the arrivals of Luis Díaz Darwin Núñez and Cody Gakpo have left Klopp with a host of potentially explosive options.

Ten Hag, on the other hand, are in dire need of options after Cristiano Ronaldo’s unceremonious departure last year and Wout Weghorst’s memorable loan spell came to an end. This of course explains the persecution of Højlund mentioned above.

In terms of pressing, Liverpool have been at the center of this transfer window, as the signing of Szoboszlai best exemplifies. The Hungarian is a specialist in the field, finishing sixth in the Bundesliga last season with high turnovers (via The Analyst) and has bolstered the team’s first line of defence.

While a previous Liverpool transfer strategy appears to have failed, Sadio Mané may be the latest player to move to Saudi Arabia this summer.

The past two weeks have been extremely busy for Liverpool, which may have caused them to rethink their summer transfer strategy.

The Reds made their return to action this week in their first preseason friendly, and they got off to a good start against Karlsruher, winning 4-2, but the victory was somewhat overshadowed by things that happened off the field.

Just as the game kicked off in Germany, it emerged that a deal had been agreed for Jordan Henderson to join Saudi Arabian club Al-Ettifaq (as per the ECHO). Now that Steven Gerrard appears to be returning to Liverpool, the captain of the Reds won’t be the only one moving to the Gulf state.

The Athletic reports that Fabinho also appears to be close to joining Al-Ittihad. This will leave Liverpool with a midfield gap that needs to be filled during the upcoming transfer window.

This summer’s top news stories revolve around the ongoing exodus of players to Saudi Arabia, which includes some former Reds stars and places Liverpool squarely in the foreground.

Sadio Mané ‘agrees to join Cristiano Ronaldo’.

While a previous Liverpool transfer strategy appears to have failed, Sadio Mané may be the latest player to move to Saudi Arabia this summer.

Away from Liverpool’s own transfer dealings, Sadio Mané’s future will no doubt be of interest to supporters this summer. The former Anfield favorite’s future at Bayern Munich still looks to be very much up in the air following what was a disappointing first season in Germany.

Of course, wherever a 30-something-year-old’s future is in doubt, you can guarantee a link to Saudi Arabia isn’t far behind. Mané is no different, and French outlet L’Equipe is claiming the Senegal international has ‘agreed in principal’ to join Al-Nassr, approving what would be a link-up with former Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo.

Elsewhere, 90MIN has suggested Liverpool, Manchester City and PSG could all be interested in Lyon starlet Bradley Barcola, with Man City eyeing him up as a possible replacement for Riyad Mahrez.

Liverpool again finds itself looking for midfield reinforcements as Henderson and Fabinho look to be on their way. Their expected departures have given the transfer landscape a new outlook, and perhaps led to Michael Edwards’ worst fears being realized.

A little over two years ago, coming off the back of a disappointing title defense wrecked by injuries, Liverpool handed out seven contract extensions to first-team players, including Fabinho and Henderson.

The news was celebrated at the time by Jürgen Klopp, but as Sky Sports’ Melissa Reddy has suggested, fears were being raised behind the scenes of the squad ‘veering away from the right football age’, something which has perhaps now been proven.

Liverpool has the ideal lure to divert Man City's record-breaking £85 million deal.
As Jurgen Klopp continues to rebuild, Liverpool is looking for a defender this summer.

Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, has the tools at his disposal to thwart an attempted coup by Manchester City this summer by halting a record-breaking £85 million transfer that has been in the works for several weeks.

The Reds are anticipated to make preliminary approaches during the summer transfer window to line up a defender with the intimidating intent of ultimately replacing club legend Virgil van Dijk.

Josko Gvardiol, a Croatian player who plays for RB Leipzig and is regarded as one of the best up-and-coming defenders on the planet, has consistently been at the forefront of every discussion.

The young player made a big impression at the World Cup in Qatar last year, and his Champions League performances have won him fans across Europe.

Leipzig is reportedly holding out for the full £85 million of Gvardiol’s release clause to be paid in one lump sum.

Pep Guardiola, the manager of City, and his team have been in negotiations with Leipzig in recent weeks.

A defender would be transferred for a record-breaking sum, surpassing the £80 million Manchester United paid Leicester City for Harry Maguire.

Liverpool has the ideal lure to divert Man City's record-breaking £85 million deal.
Christian Falk, a German football expert, reports via Caughtoffside that a standoff has developed between Leipzig and City as the former is trying to find a suitable replacement while the latter is reportedly negotiating the price in an effort to get better terms.

As a result, there has been an unnerving silence that may well give Liverpool the opportunity to score at the perfect time, mainly because Klopp has Joe Gomez as a secret weapon.

Gomez, who recently turned 26 years old, has spent the last few seasons alternating between playing regularly for the Reds’ first team and sitting on the substitutes’ bench for extended periods of time.

Although the demands of Premier League football have resulted in several injuries, which have hampered the progress of the England international, Klopp was extremely complimentary of his excellent communication with Van Dijk.

Gomez, who Leipzig scouts have previously observed, may well find a move to the Bundesliga highly advantageous with an eye toward the upcoming European Championships.

By providing Leipzig with a ready-made replacement for the Croatian and a transfer fee to help defray the cost, Liverpool’s offer would go some way toward hijacking control of the Gvardiol situation.

Liverpool has renewed hope that the young player will eventually make it to Anfield thanks to comments made by Gvardiol several years ago during an interview with RTLDanas.
Gvardiol was asked which team he would most like to play for when at the height of his abilities, and he responded, “My dream club? That would definitely be Liverpool.

“Ever since I was a little kid, my dad and I have seen a lot of their games. All four seasons were thoroughly covered. It is a club that has stayed in my heart. “.

When discussing potential transfers and leaving Leipzig, Gvardiol has, however, always spoken in a respectful manner.

It is believed that the German powerhouses will not release the defender this summer unless his release clause is honored and paid in full.

In the summer of 2024, Leipzig are predicted to be more open to offers, and at that time, Klopp and Liverpool are likely to lose club stalwart Joel Matip when his current contract expires.

It will be interesting to see if the Reds decide to act this summer and stop City. Nevertheless, everything suggests that the risk is one that is highly worthwhile taking.

Sadio Mane could soon complete the five-man squad and he is rumored to have agreed a deal to join Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr. He had a difficult season after leaving Liverpool for Bayern Munich last year, but he reportedly tried to stay and fight for his place in the team. But while the transfers of Mane, Gerrard and even Firmino – who would always start on a free transfer – have little relevance to Liverpool’s plans, the transfers of Henderson and Fabinho have put a spoke in the works for the rest of the summer. And the Reds aren’t the only European side that could fall behind.

At Manchester City, Riyad Mahrez has been enticed by Saudi overtures, with a fee of $39m (£30m/€35m) agreed with Al Ahli. Pep Guardiola has started drawing up a list of possible replacements.

This could point him towards a young starlet who is admired by both Liverpool and PSG. Manchester City scouts were “impressed from start to finish”.

Sadio Mané to join Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr
According to L’Equipe, Mané has agreed to join Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr in the latest episode of the great Saudi exodus. Yesterday The Athletic broke the news of the talks, but the French outlet now claims a deal has been reached.

Although the transfer is not yet complete, Mané has “given his agreement in principle”. It would bring an abrupt end to his difficult spell at Bayern Munich after just one injury-related season

Thomas Tuchel appeared to have hinted earlier in the month that Mane could still leave despite the player’s propensity to fight for his place.

Liverpool.com says: Another day, another disappointment. Mane seemed like the type to resist Saudi overtures and prove he still belonged at a high level in Europe, but the money seems to have spoken again.

No doubt Liverpool’s growing core of legends will increase interest in the Saudi league as the season progresses, with clips circulating on social media just as they did around Ronaldo. This, of course, is part of the plan.

Bradley Barcola is a favorite of PSG, Man City, and Liverpool.

Sadio Mané 'admits to join Cristiano Ronaldo' as PSG and Liverpool eye Man City transfer target
According to 90MIN, Manchester City may try to sign Lyon’s young Bradley Barcola to replace Mahrez. The 20-year-old only made his official debut in January, but he quickly rose to prominence, finishing the season with seven goals and 10 assists across all competitions.

Liverpool is ‘keeping tabs’ on Barcola, according to a Fabrizio Romano report from April (via Get French Football News). Le Parisien recently reported that PSG continues to monitor the situation.

Barcola appears to be a promising talent, but the player has admitted that he needs one more year at Lyon to “confirm” his development, according to Liverpool Dot Com.

While PSG has a history of snatching up the best French talent, this stance may change if Manchester City decides to push for him as a replacement for Mahrez. However, Liverpool might be hoping he bides his time until next summer, which may be the time to begin seriously searching for a Mohamed Salah replacement.

Liverpool could give the 19-year-old, who has already completed his dream transfer, a chance

    Melkamu Frauendorf
Liverpool young winger Melkamu Frauendorf is part of Jurgen Klopp’s 32-man pre-season squad that traveled to Baden-Wuerttemberg for a summer training camp

Melkamu Frauendorf is hoping to leave a lasting impression at Liverpool’s training camp in Germany.

The 19-year-old was signed by Hoffenheim in 2020, before signing professional contracts with Liverpool a year later. In his debut season with the Reds, the versatile attacking midfielder shone for the under-18s, scoring seven goals, including in the FA Youth Cup final.

An even more impressive season followed, resulting in the then 17-year-old Frauendorf making his first team debut in January 2022 as a substitute against Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup. He earned his first start for Liverpool in a Carabao Cup win against Derby County last season. Last season, Frauendorf showed his versatility and was used across the board. The Germany U19 international has been deployed as both a left and right forward, and also successfully broke into the forward position for the U21 side, scoring twice and getting one assist in three games.

Frauendorf had attracted interest from other clubs, before signing for Liverpool, and was aware of interest from the Reds for a year before deciding to move to Merseyside. The teenager began imagining playing for the club in 2017 as he watched from the stands Trent Alexander-Arnold score his first goal for Liverpool against Hoffenheim in a Champions League play-off match.

“I dreamed of playing for Liverpool and going to England, to play at Anfield,” he recalled. “I dreamed about it.”

Full name: Melkamu Benjamin Daniel Frauendorf

Date of birth: January 12, 2004

    Place of birth: Kembata, Ethiopia

Position: Right winger, Left winger, Centre-forward

Career History: Frauendorf came off the bench on his Liverpool debut against Shrewsbury Town in January 2022 and made his first starting XI for the Reds against Derby County in September 2022. He hopes to feature in more matchday squads the next season.

It would be a significant change for Liverpool if Jordan Henderson and Fabinho both left during the same summer, especially when added to the departures of seasoned stars like James Milner.

Jörg Schmadtke, the new sporting director at Anfield, appeared to be very busy in the background organizing a proper rebuild and team reset, giving the impression that Jürgen Klopp was about to experience a significant change.

In truth, however, even though the evolution should have possibly happened more quickly, especially in midfield, it did start a while back. Liverpool lost Roberto Firmino after Sadio Mané was sold to Bayern Munich last summer.

A similar procedure is now being carried out in midfield. Due to the youth of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alisson Becker (and Ibrahima Konaté, relative to his position), Liverpool’s defensive rebuild can be more gradual, but that too needs to start as soon as possible.

It was difficult for Liverpool to part with Mané and Firmino, but doing so allowed them to be first in line to snag attacking talent, which Manchester United is now doing. And as for Mané, he has had trouble since leaving Anfield, much like Philippe Coutinho.

While Manchester United made a transfer request, Sadio Mané and Philippe Coutinho might reunite.
Mané, a former forward for Liverpool, has been informed by Bayern Munich that the German champion will not stand in the way of the 31-year-old if he wants to leave. While the player is content to stay, that is typically code for wanting a sale.

Now, 90Min reports that Steven Gerrard wants to sign both Mané and Coutinho for the Saudi Pro League in addition to pursuing Jordan Henderson for Al Ettifaq.

Mané reportedly turned down interest from Saudi Arabia earlier in the summer, but Bayern Munich is hoping to persuade him to switch teams because there aren’t many other clubs in Europe willing to compete for his services.

Mané can undoubtedly perform better than the Saudi league, but the majority of the players who have moved there this summer can as well, according to Liverpool .

Henderson could also perform much better, but money talks.

Offer from Manchester United was declined.

Rasmus Hjlund, a forward for Atalanta, has reportedly become unavailable as Erik ten Hag searches for a new number nine for Manchester United, according to The Athletic.

Manchester United offered Donny van de Beek and unwanted Fred as part of a proposed deal for the Danish forward, but the Serie A club rejected that “out of hand.”.

The 20-year-old, who joined Atalanta from Sturm Graz in the summer of 2022 and scored 10 goals last season, is seeking a cash-only contract.

Although the Reds have a ton of offensive talent, Manchester United really needs a world-class number nine to advance. It can be challenging to complete a deal, though; Liverpool beat the Old Trafford team to the signings of Darwin Nez and Cody Gakpo.

The England star has been linked with a meeting with Liverpool icon Gerrard. The former Anfield favorite changed his assertion that he would not travel to Saudi Arabia and was finally confirmed as Al-Ettifaq head coach last week.

Al-Ettifaq are not among the four clubs majority-owned by the Public Investment Fund, but there are still rumors that they are interested in top European players.

Chelsea outcast and former Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been suggested as a possible target.

Liverpool star Jordan Henderson, is in "very advanced" talks to leave the club this summer.
However, L’Equipe report that Henderson is in ‘very advanced’ talks over a surprise transfer to the Dammam-based club. Al-Ettifaq hope Gerrard’s appeal will tempt the 33-year-old to leave Anfield.

Henderson missed just three Premier League games last season and made 23 starts. Liverpool head coach Klopp described the veteran star as a “very, very, very important player” in February.

Asked about Henderson’s long-term future alongside him, the German replied: “I don’t understand why we are talking about a player, I think so.” Everyone knows how much I respect him. I don’t like to say that, but it’s true, we can’t deal with such things.

“A player becomes, ‘Henderson is this, Henderson is this,’ Hendo is not our problem.” Never was and never will be. When fit and fit, he’s played 98% of our games.

“He played all those games because he’s a very, very, very important player for us. There’s nothing… I understand you have to think about the issues, but I can’t answer that question Yes, he is important and how much we missed him.”

Henderson faces the prospect of renewed competition in Liverpool’s midfield next season. Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai have already joined Klopp’s ranks. Sky Deutschland claim the Reds are also hoping to sign Southampton star Romeo Lavia.

Sadio Mané might get Liverpool reunion as 'real price' for Kylian Mbappé transfer outlined
Liverpool’s European rivals round-up: Sadio Mane continues to be linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, while three clubs have been named in the running for Kylian Mbappé.

Now that the transfer window has officially opened across much of Europe, things appear to be shifting a gear, with Liverpool in the thick of things.

The Reds have started their summer rebuilding well, with Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai arriving ahead of their return to pre-season training tomorrow.

But the work is far from over for Jürgen Klopp, who still has some worries in the squad after a disappointing 2022-23 season, including in defence.

The Liverpool boss will no doubt be keeping an eye out for events across the continent with more and more players potentially arriving, including two very familiar faces.

Speculation continues over Sadio Mane’s future, with the former Liverpool star linked with a move from Bayern Munich just a year after leaving Anfield.

And Kylian Mbappé once again plays an important role in transfer rumors, even if the Reds are not mentioned in the latest statements about his future.

Here is the Liverpool.com version of some of the biggest stories about European football today.

Sadio Mane has decided to move to Saudi Arabia

According to Fabrizio Romano, Sadio Mane is in the interests of several Saudi Arabian clubs.

The former Liverpool star has been strongly linked with a move from Bayern Munich after just one season, with the Daily Mail reporting that the Bundesliga champions may be willing to listen to offers. Al-Ahli are said to be among the clubs interested in signing Mane as they want to reunite him with Roberto Firmino.

Liverpool.com says: It seems like a lot for Mane to move to the Middle East this summer. He seems to have fallen out of favor with Bayern and somehow it looks like he’s heading there.

The Saudi Pro League seems to be the hot spot for late-career players at the moment, so it may well depend on whether or not Mane agrees.
Three clubs named in transfer race for Kylian Mbappé

Manchester City and Newcastle have been named as two of the clubs capable of signing Kylian Mbappé, although Liverpool were not mentioned by football agent Bruno Satin.

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has given Mbappé an ultimatum to decide his future over the next two weeks. t sign a contract extension.

Speaking to L’Équipe, Satin said: “In my opinion only Manchester City, Newcastle and Real Madrid can pay today. For me the real price is between $109m (£85m) and $166m (£130m). €152m), after which there could be bonuses of up to $217m (£170m/€200m) or so.”

Liverpool.com says: Deep down we all know it’s nearly impossible for Liverpool to sign Mbappé this summer, although you can’t blame the fans for dreaming!

Manchester City and Real Madrid should always be included, but seeing Newcastle thrown into the fray is a reminder of their newfound financial appeal. and other great offers.

Mauricio Pochettino now have two words to describe Liverpool as a team
Mauricio Pochettino has praised Liverpool as a team ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League opener against the Reds next month.

Speaking to the Blues’ official website, the Argentina manager has praised Jurgen Klopp’s side as Chelsea begin pre-season preparations for the upcoming season, which will see the western side of London take on Liverpool in the first match of the 2023/24 Premier League season.

Pochettino was a surprise appointment as Graham Potter’s long-term replacement at Chelsea this summer, but Liverpool are fully aware of what awaits them in the new season this summer with the former PSG and Tottenham manager.

In fact, Pochettono played countless times against Liverpool during his time at Spurs and Southampton and the Argentine is well aware of the Reds’ quality.

The Chelsea manager said: “We will be ready for the first game against Liverpool and it will be so exciting to have the first Premier League game at Stamford Bridge.”

“At Liverpool we will face a very good team, I know that very well from the past. Now it is important to visualize us at Stamford Bridge. We know the stadium very well and we know that together with the fans we create a good atmosphere.”

Pochettino is right to fear Liverpool ahead of their Premier League debut

Chelsea and Liverpool go into the new Premier League season hoping to do better than both clubs managed last season, and for Pochettino, the Blues manager is smart in recognizing the threat ahead in the opening game of the season.

As we know, both clubs are keen to get back into the top four and possibly go one step further by challenging for the Premier League title. And Pochettino could make a dream start at Chelsea by playing against Liverpool at Bridge next month.
