Given the level of competition at Liverpool, it’s questionable if Bradley will receive the opportunity to play in midfield. He currently sits behind Alexander-Arnold as the starting right-back, a position that guarantees more playing time.

Furthermore, Bradley might be the ideal replacement for the Reds if Alexander-Arnold sticks to his long-term hybrid role. If it turns out to be true, he could end up saving Klopp a tonne of cash. And the Liverpool manager won’t be whining if he turns into a box-to-box midfielder with even half the quality of Gerrard.

Bobby Zamora, a former striker for West Ham, said that he was one of the players the former Reds captain courted during his playing career and expressed regret for not following his fellow England international’s counsel.

Zamora disclosed on the Under The Cosh podcast that Gerrard attempted to persuade him to transfer to Liverpool, asserting that he “should have got five years” at Anfield.

The 42-year-old said, “I probably should have gone to Liverpool from Fulham.”

Roy Hopkinson travelled to Liverpool. They placed a simultaneous £10 million bid, as did Spurs.

Why Martin Odegaard’s handball against Arsenal did not result in a penalty kick for Liverpool

“Becoming captain of Liverpool Football Club has been one of the greatest honors of my life.

“From the day I received the armband, I’ve done everything I can to behave as a Liverpool captain should be.

“But Liverpool’s greatest accolades have not been personal, but collective.

“Started in Madrid with number six, the most perfect evening. Actually probably my favorite night.
