Injury updates for Liverpool ahead of their match at Anfield vs West Ham.
On Wednesday night at Anfield (20:00 GMT), Liverpool will host West Ham United as they focus on the Carabao Cup.
This season, getting back into the Premier League’s top four is the Reds’ foremost priority. Even though his team is only one point behind Arsenal in the standings, Jurgen Klopp says he isn’t now focused in winning the championship.
However, Klopp will be drawn to the possibility of visiting Wembley. With the final approaching, the Reds will almost certainly take advantage of the opportunity to win silverware even though the Carabao Cup is probably not at the top of their list of priorities. With the most recent victory coming two campaigns ago, Liverpool has won the competition nine times overall.
When they play West Ham, Klopp will be hoping for more innovation from his players. Liverpool had 34 shots overall in their 0-0 stalemate with Manchester United, but few clear-cut opportunities were generated. Liverpool nevertheless dominated the game. In contrast, the Hammers enter the match fresh off a 3-0 triumph over Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Here’s a sneak peek at both teams’ squad news before the match.
1. Joel Matip – out
The defender may miss the remainder of the season after rupturing his ACL against Fulham.
2. Diogo Jota – out
The forward for Liverpool has a muscular problem. Jota has resumed her grass-running routine, but this game might come too soon.
3. Alexis Mac Allister – out
The midfield player cut himself badly when playing Sheffield United. Mac Allister has missed the last three games, and an Argentine source said he won’t play against West Ham.
4. Andy Robertson – out
The left-back will not return until the new year, although he is still recovering from shoulder surgery.

Juventus is looking into other possibilities for its midfield, and they may sign Teun Koopmeiners.
They are being cautious regarding Kalvin Phillips’s likely decision to remain in the Premier League, especially in light of Newcastle United’s interest. Due to the absence of players like Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli, Juventus faces difficulties in the midfield and is eager to bolster its midfield in the January transfer window.
Juventus had been considering a deal for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, but as Tottenham refused to let him go, they decided to look into other midfield options.
As negotiations for a potential loan agreement involving Newcastle and Kalvin Phillips continue, Juventus has turned its focus to Teun Koopmeiners of Atalanta as a substitute midfield player. Because of the uncertainty surrounding Phillips’ future in the Premier League, Juventus has been looking into other options. Manager Max Allegri has identified Koopmeiners as a prospective target.
The midfield player might give Juventus more depth in the January transfer window.
The £55 million-rated Dutch midfield player is a target for Liverpool and Juventus. Gazetta Dello Sport reports that Juventus’ problem will be negotiating with direct competitor Atalanta, which could lead to a transfer fee that is more than the player’s market value.
Due to his impressive performances, Koopmeiners has attracted interest from elite clubs and has 20 caps for the Netherlands national team. He is a unique kind of midfielder because he can play a variety of positions and has shown success as a number six, eight, and in certain situations, ten.
