The Liverpool star delivered a message to Arne Slot after Philippe Coutinho complete his transfer deal.

The most recent rumours and rumours about Liverpool, including Philippe Coutinho’s deal completion and a pre-season message for Diogo Jota.

Under head coach Arne Slot, Liverpool is hard at work getting ready for the upcoming Premier League season. Prior to his debut season as the Reds’ head coach, the Dutchman is in charge of preseason training at the AXA Training Centre.

Later this month, Liverpool will play a series of friendly games against Real Betis, Arsenal, and Manchester United in the United States.

Off the pitch, Liverpool is still rumoured to be interested in adding a number of players during the summer transfer window. Before Slot takes over as head coach at Anfield for the first time, the Reds have not added any new players to their roster.

The move of Philippe Coutinho is finalised.

Philippe Coutinho, a former star of Liverpool, has joined Vasco da Gama in Brazil.

After leaving the Reds in January 2018 for Barcelona for £142 million, Coutinho has signed a season-long loan with Vasco do Gama. The 32-year-old will now play football for the team where he began his career in his own country after temporarily leaving Aston Villa.

On Wednesday, Villa announced that Coutinho has departed the team to take a loan back to Brazil. Coutinho will now spend another season on loan from his club, having spent the previous one at Al Duhail in Qatar.

Diogo Jota preseason return message

Diogo Jota has heard from former Liverpool player Steve Nicol why it would be prudent for the striker to report back for preseason training as soon as possible.

Jota was a member of the Portugal team that last week lost to Spain in the quarterfinal of the Euro 2024 competition. After enjoying a summer vacation, the Reds No. 20 will return to Merseyside for preseason training.

Jota, in Slot’s opinion, ought to return to Liverpool to participate in Slot’s preseason training rather than taking a vacation.

“I’m not taking a break if I’m Diogo Jota; I’m heading straight to training camp,” Nicol stated to ESPN.

“For two reasons: one, you want to be one of the three players we believe will be playing up front, and you want to make the team and start in the starting XI. But he also skipped a good portion of the previous season. So, he won’t be considering weariness or anything similar.

“As soon as I can, I’m getting my boots on and heading to Anfield to make sure I start training and show this guy [Arne Slot] what I’m all about if I’m him.”
