Liverpool
‘The next Rodri’ is a midfield wonderkid that Liverpool is reportedly moving for.

To address their problems, Liverpool is looking for a defensive midfield player.
Unlike Rodri of Manchester City, a youthful midfield player is what Liverpool is hoping to sign.
Even Liverpool would welcome a player like Rodri, who is largely seen as the best defensive midfielder in the world, even if the Reds are currently leading Manchester City at the top of the Premier League.
A prospective expert in the position may arrive in the summer, despite the fact that Jurgen Klopp has employed both Wataru Endo and Alexis Mac Allister, who arrived in the summer, there.
Liverpool is reportedly interested in acquiring Hugo Larsson from Eintracht Frankfurt. Larsson is a 19-year-old midfielder who has made 16 Bundesliga starts this season and has excelled.
The Bundesliga website has compared Larsson, a rangy midfielder who is at ease with the ball and clever positionally, to both Rodri and Kevin De Bruyne. This suggests that while Larsson’s close control and skillfulness are reminiscent of the Belgian playmaker, the Spaniard is similar to Larsson in his ability to marshal the defence.
Arsenal will compete with the Reds, though, and the 19-year-old won’t be cheap either. According to the source, Eintracht Frankfurt is seeking a minimum of £68 million for their bright young talent.
However, the German side isn’t in a haste to sell, as his contract expires in June 2028. In the middle of their midfield, Larsson is already playing like an experienced pro, and if he keeps improving over the next four years, his value might only rise.
In fact, Larsson only paid £8 million to go from Malmo to Eintracht Frankfurt at the end of May 2023, but Transfermarkt has already placed the young Swede’s value at £24 million. He has now made four appearances for the Swedish national team, and many more are anticipated.
Even though the country did not make it to Euro 2024, he might be crucial to their future achievements and possibly Liverpool’s as well.

Liverpool turns down surprise Deadline Day transfer offer from Premier League club
The Daily Mail reports that Liverpool has turned down an offer for keeper Caoimhin Kelleher from Nottingham Forest.
The 25-year-old was valued at well than £20 million by The Reds, but Forest only offered £15 million for him.
Even though Alisson plays at a world-class level and he is merely Anfield’s second choice, he has recently been granted some opportunities.
He has made 34 appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s team overall, and he has often impressed.
Liverpool’s refusal to sell him is not surprising, especially considering there is still time in the transfer window to find a suitable successor.
The Reds are also rumoured to have based their asking price on Manchester City’s £19 million transfer of James Trafford to Burnley.
Former Arsenal striker wanted by Forest
According to Fabrizio Romano, Forest is attempting to investigate a late-transfer window move for former Arsenal star Chuba Akpom.
On deadline day, the Reds are seeking to strengthen their attack, and they are giving the Ajax player significant consideration.
This season, Akpom has made 20 appearances across all competitions and scored nine goals, attracting the interest of other Premier League teams.
Though it’s thought that Ajax won’t easily allow Akpom to go, they might be tempted with a big offer.
Although Fulham has also been connected to Akpom, it seems that Armando Broja of Chelsea is now the target.
