Transfer news LIVE!

Summer deadline day is fast approaching and Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Manchester United and Liverpool are expected to be busy until the final hours. The Gunners are working on their exits, eight of them with uncertain futures, before potentially adding a new defender.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are planning to let Romelu Lukaku leave on a new loan deal with Roma, his destination, and could replace him in a bold move for Arsenal’s Emile Smith Rowe. Bayer Leverkusen defender Jeremy Frimpong is also in their sights as Manchester United are considering Marc Cucurella on loan.

Tottenham, meanwhile, are closing in on a deal worth nearly £50m for Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson to complete summer revenue despite having many current players to swap. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is also interesting for United. The biggest potential deal is Saudi Arabia’s interest in signing Mohamed Salah, which is expected to go all the way. Ocampos must decide whether to switch Champions League football this season or move to the Premier League. Luton is desperate to hold
Arsenal defender Rob Holding is a loan target for Premier League newcomers Luton, writes Nizaar Kinsella.

Holding was left out of the Arsenal squad for the first three Premier League games and manager Mikel Arteta gave him permission to leave the Emirates Stadium.

The 27-year-old weighs his options ahead of Friday’s transfer deadline. He is also attracting interest from Spanish clubs.

Deal done! Fulham sign with Castagne
Fulham have confirmed the signing of Timothy Castagne from Leicester. The left-back has signed a four-year deal with an option for another year.

Castagne said: “I feel very good. It’s been a long transfer window but I’m finally here and I’m happy to be here.

“It’s a big relief. I’ve spoken to the manager and can’t wait to start training and playing.”

Palace finalize Henderson transfer
Crystal Palace have signed a deal to sign Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson, writes Malik Ouzia. Palace sought to leave Henderson before Friday’s transfer deadline, with Vicente Guaita refusing to play as he seeks to leave Selhurst Park.

Sam Johnstone started the season as first choice for Palace but Henderson will rival him for the top spot.

Henderson, 26, was on loan at Nottingham Forest last season.

West Ham approach Alberto
West Ham are pushing to sign Brazilian youngster Yuri Alberto as their search for a striker enters the final days of the transfer window, writes Malik Ouzia.

Hammers technical director Tim Steitden is in Brazil as negotiations with Corinthians continue overnight. The club are looking to sign a centre-forward for the fifth time before Friday’s deadline. Michail Antonio, who has been linked with a move from east London in the summer, has started the season in fine form, scoring in back-to-back wins over Chelsea and Brighton, but David Moyes would like more support for the 33-year-old .

Danny Ings has been struggling for influence since arriving in January amid last season’s relegation battle, while Gianluca Scamacca was sold to Atalanta earlier this summer after a disappointing season in English football. Academy graduate Divin Mubama is highly respected but has yet to make a significant breakthrough in the first team.

Chelsea listen to offers from Chalobah and Cucurella
Bayern Munich remain interested in signing Trevoh Chalobah despite turning down an initial loan offer, writes Nizaar Kinsella.

Thomas Tuchel has contacted his former defender who is interested in a transfer but Chelsea are only interested in a permanent sale of the local player. Chelsea have set a price tag of £50m for Chalobah which has so far put off suitors.

The Blues are also attracting interest in Marc Cucurella, with Manchester United interested in a season-long loan deal.

Erik ten Hag wants a new left-back after Luke Shaw was out for two months with a hamstring injury. Reserve full-back Tyrell Malacia is also injured, leaving United to consider various options, including Cucurella, who has been struggling since his £62m move from Brighton last summer.

Rennes bid for Sanchez
Davinson Sanchez has been linked to Nottingham Forest in a post-Tottenham deal with Brennan Johnson, but a new suitor has come into play. According to L’Equipe, Rennes have made a €9m offer for the centre-back.

Spurs are holding out for nearly £10m.

Will Gravenberch and McTominay make a trade?

Bayern Munich and Manchester United could negotiate an exchange before Friday’s deadline.

According to Bild, Bayern are interested in United midfielder Scott McTominay, while United admire Bayern youngster Ryan Gravenberch. Both teams want a new midfielder and can work together through an exchange deal.

Manchester United take Maguire’s decision
Manchester United will reject any late offers for Harry Maguire, despite the defender having fallen down the pecking order at the club.

The defender is eligible after being stripped of the captain’s armband last month and has one minute to play in the first three games of the season.

West Ham had a £30m offer accepted a few weeks ago, but Maguire ultimately rejected the move. Everton have now failed with a loan offer, according to various reports. United had hoped to replace Maguire with Bayern’s Benjamin Pavard, but time is running out to find a decent replacement, so Maguire will stay there until at least January.

Bayern replace Chalobah
Bayern Munich have opened talks over signing Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea.

Fabrizio Romano says the deal is still in its infancy but Thomas Tuchel is pushing for the deal and Chalobah wants to move.

Chelsea are only interested in a permanent sale as they have already turned down a loan offer.
