Marc Guehi

Since Joel Matip will be sidelined for the remainder of the season as a center-back, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are in desperate need of the finest players in the league.

Due to an ACL rupture, Matip will be sidelined until the end of 2023–2024, at which point his contract with the Reds would expire.

The Reds are currently only two points behind leaders Arsenal in the Premier League, despite their current injury woes.

Liverpool must play both Crystal Palace and Man United before they take on the Gunners in the Premier League. It is against the Eagles that Klopp will be able to have a closer look at Marc Guehi.

The England player, who is reportedly valued at £60 million based on a Football Insider report, will not be sold next month, according to Mirror; however, if Liverpool makes a higher offer, their position may shift.

Of course, a lot will depend on the 23-year-old’s personal goals, and for now, it seems more likely that Anfield than Selhurst Park will see them realised.

If Palace players have learned anything this season, it is that Roy Hodgson has reached the limit of his abilities and that a younger player needs to fill the void.

Guehi may avoid Liverpool’s grasp for the time being with new ideas and a different viewpoint, but a move seems inevitable.

Liverpool may reconsider replacing Mo Salah as a new signing writes a contract.

Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, will have to reconsider who might step in for Mohamed Salah.

Nico Williams could force Liverpool to reevaluate their intentions to replace Mohamed Salah. The Spanish winger, who was rumoured to be joining Anfield, has since secured a new deal with Athletic Bilbao.

Salah’s replacement is not something Liverpool wants to think about. The Egyptian is currently just one goal away from 200 goals for the Reds in all competitions after returning to form this season.

But as the January transfer market draws nearer, rumours of a move to Saudi Arabia are probably going to pick back up. Salah will probably want to stay and compete for a second Premier League title, therefore Liverpool will make every effort to keep him from departing in the middle of the season.

However, Liverpool is aware that there’s a possibility they won’t be able to keep him around into the summer of 2019. After Al-Ittihad’s unsuccessful attempt to sign the 31-year-old in August and September, Saudi officials are still committed to signing him.

When Salah is finally replaced, it will be an onerous task. Williams, though, doesn’t seem to be moving to Merseyside anytime soon.

The 21-year-old has established himself as one of the most promising young wingers in Europe. He has also been linked to Aston Villa and Barcelona as a result of his performances for Athletic Bilbao and Spain.

However, it was officially announced on Friday that he had pledged his future to his present team. The current season was going to end when his previous contract was supposed to expire.

Now, he has committed to a new deal that will last until the end of the 2026–2027 season. Williams signed the contract and stated, “I’m very happy to be here in Bilbao and to stay with this great family.”

“I came here when I was eleven years old. This fulfils a dream. I have to work much harder now.”

When Salah ultimately decides to quit the team, Liverpool will have to search elsewhere. Without a question, the 31-year-old will be remembered as one of the greatest players in the Reds’ storied past.

He scored his 199th goal in just 324 games across all competitions on Thursday night in the Europa League against LASK, which he joined from Roma in 2017. He has already scored 13 goals this season, and few would wager on him accomplishing his next milestone when he plays Fulham at home in the Premier League on Sunday.
