Willian Pacho

Liverpool may have a hectic summer as they get ready for Arne Slot’s new era.

Before making a possible summer transfer, Liverpool is keeping an eye on Eintracht Frankfurt central defender Willian Pacho, a source exclusively told GIVEMESPORT.

Jurgen Klopp’s anticipated successor With an eye on sustaining the success the Reds have enjoyed under the German manager, Arne Slot has a busy summer ahead of him.

Joel Matip is expected to leave the team at the conclusion of the season when his contract expires, making the defence a crucial area for reinforcements. Due to an ACL injury he suffered in the 4-3 victory over Fulham in early December, the 32-year-old has missed the most of the current campaign.

In recent weeks, the Reds have been connected to a number of centre backs, including Pacho of Frankfurt. Since last summer, Goncalo Inacio of Sporting CP and Levi Colwill of Chelsea have both been mentioned as potential targets for a move to Anfield.

Liverpool is keeping an eye on Pacho.

Pacho has been the subject of reports of interest in recent weeks as Premier League teams, particularly Liverpool, have taken notice of the defender’s Frankfurt play. With one game remaining, the 22-year-old international for Ecuador has only missed one Bundesliga match all season as they presently hold sixth place in the rankings.

Romano claims Pacho is one among the players Liverpool has looked at, with the team having a great appreciation for the way Frankfurt coach Dino Toppmoller’s team plays. Pacho’s defending has been referred to as “world-class” by Toppmoller. Negotiations have not yet taken place, nor has there been a formal approach.

He said to GIVEMESPORT:

According to what I’m hearing, Pacho has been one of the players they’ve been keeping an eye on. They’ve been paying close attention to the Eintracht situation, so they recognise the quality of the players there and like the way they play. “Liverpool has been monitoring and scouting the player, but neither the clubs nor the player have entered into any negotiations. It’s not too late.

It’s not too late. Pacho started his senior career in his native Ecuador before moving to Belgium in January 2022 to play for Royal Antwerp in the Belgian Pro League. He advanced to the German Bundesliga with Frankfurt last summer, where he signed a 2028 deal.

Arsenal Is Competing for Paco as Well

Liverpool’s opponents Arsenal in the Premier League will probably compete with them if they try to sign Pacho during the next transfer window. For the majority of the league season, the two teams have been in a head-to-head competition at the top of the table; however, in the later parts of the campaign, the Gunners have maintained their lead over Manchester City.

Mikel Arteta might try to bolster his defensive ranks even more by adding Pacho, even if his defence is already among the best in the division. The defender, who would probably cost €50–60 million in transfer fees, is reportedly of interest to both Liverpool and Arsenal, according to a report published last month by Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports Germany.
