Liverpool is expected to sign TWO Premier League players, as odds DROPPED for stunning transfer

Every transfer window ends with a few unexpected speculations floating about, and this one is no exception with Liverpool reportedly connected to a deal for Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite.
The 22-year-old is expected to make a highly controversial move across Stanley Park, and bookmakers Sky Bet and bet365 cut their odds on him doing so on Sunday night. The latter said they have him odds-on at 4/5 to be wearing a Reds shirt when the transfer window closes.
The rumours are illogical in a realistic sense. One thing is a rumoured £80 million price tag, although Everton would be very hesitant to even consider selling their valued asset to their Merseyside rivals.
Even though there is no truth to this transfer rumour, bookies are still expecting Liverpool to be busy before the summer transfer season ends.
The players expected to sign with Liverpool before to the transfer deadline.
As of this writing, the Reds are 5/6 favourites to recruit Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United and 5/1 to get Ollie Watkins to leave Aston Villa, according to Sky Bet.
Two fairly intriguing connections, but two deals that might depend on possible outgoings because Liverpool’s attacking line is quite deep with players like Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez, Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo, and Luis Diaz.
The Merseyside giants are also fourth favourites at 9/1 and 20/1 to acquire Victor Gyokeres and Eberechi Eze, respectively, and 25/1 to win the fight for Athletic Club winger Nico Williams. Furthermore, they are third favourites at 20/1 to capture Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace.
Arne Slot has disclosed that work is being done behind the scenes to bolster the team, but it is unclear what gets done at Anfield.
Before his team defeated Ipswich Town 2-0, he stated, “It’s not always true that if you bring in new players the team becomes stronger, because I also believe in general that every player in the team needs to have perspective on playing time.”
“The group’s energy can occasionally decrease if you keep adding players. However, as I’ve mentioned numerous times, Richard and I are the ones working to bolster the team. We attempt to bring someone in if we believe we have found them.
Sadly, the person we believed could assist us later declined. However, Richard is still working to strengthen the team in the background.”
