What’s the story?
Well, Romano said Chelsea are in the process of signing strikers while also looking to lure the Ecuador international away from Brighton.
He said:
“I have been told that the situation with Moises Caicedo is concrete and between Chelsea and Brighton. They decided to do a different type of negotiation, to talk club to club, and it will take a few days, so let’s see how long. Chelsea is working on it behind the scenes.
“Chelsea are busy with attacking players but Caicedo is a priority.”
This is encouraging news for Chelsea fans as the attacking department was very shy last season.
Chelsea have scored just 38 goals in 38 Premier League games and no player has managed to score in double figures.

Could Mohamed Salah eventually reunite with his former Liverpool strike partners given Roberto Firmino’s move to Saudi Arabia and reports of a possible reunion involving Sadio Mane?

Salah is showing no signs of slowing down after scoring 30 goals for Liverpool once again this season. It goes without saying that Liverpool made the right decision in terms of which one of the trio to retain into their senior years, given Mane’s struggles last year and Firmino’s sporadic injury problems after slipping down Klopp’s pecking order.

Chelsea’s challenge, however, is reaching a deal with Brighton, who have a reputation for being shrewd negotiators when it comes to offloading their star players in recent transfer windows. Caicedo’s desire to leave the team was discussed with Roberto De Zerbi throughout the season, but Brighton are asking for around £80 million for him, and Chelsea do not want to pay that amount as a one-time fee.

While Liverpool cannot be ruled out, it would certainly be a surprise. It would be a big surprise for Liverpool to sign Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde, reporter Dean Jones told GIVEMESPORT.
