The 300 ton roof truss proved to be a milestone in July 2022, requiring two 600 ton cranes at a height of 164 meters for its easy assembly.

It stood on the existing structure and was ready for the construction of the new roof before the old one was demolished at the end of the 2022/23 season.

Today, the new upper level is structurally complete after the removal of the old upper level and the installation of solar panels on the new roof.

The new pitch is to be moved next week. The construction time is only three days and will require a three week wait before it is operational.

The internal work is ongoing and although there is still work to be done for the Buckingham Group contractors, Liverpool are still planning their first home game against Bournemouth on August 19.
