15 minutes before the conclusion, Jurgen Klopp made a gesture that completely transformed Liverpool's fate.

Halfway through extra time, it appeared as though Jurgen Klopp gave an inspirational team speech, and Liverpool went on to crush Chelsea and steal the Carabao Cup in the closing seconds.

As Gary Neville so brilliantly put it, “Klopp’s Kids” defeated the “Blue billion-pound bottlejobs” to win Liverpool the Carabao Cup.

With barely three minutes remaining in the second half of extra time, Virgil van Dijk scored the winning goal from a corner. Reds manager Jurgen Klopp gave a number of young Liverpool players the opportunity to go and establish themselves going into that last half-hour, and that’s precisely what they accomplished.

Neville took to Twitter to criticise Chelsea’s effort in extra time, but even at halftime in extra time, there were indications that the Reds would win this title. Klopp exuded calmness, while Pochettino appeared to gather his Chelsea players in a nervous huddle.

Hugging his players, grinning, and laughing, the German coach was his normal self. It was clear that Klopp was exerting every effort to make sure his Liverpool team, which at this point had an average age of just under 24, was at ease heading into the last stretch.

15 minutes before the conclusion, Jurgen Klopp made a gesture that completely transformed Liverpool's fate.

The team meetings held after hours conveyed a more comprehensive narrative. After more than seven years in the English game, Pochettino is still without a trophy. Klopp, on the other hand, has won eight titles during his remarkable tenure as Reds manager.

He has experienced it firsthand and earned the medals. As the game entered its final minutes, there was not a trace of dread or concern emanating from his technical area, which obviously had the desired effect on his young players on the field.

After the game ended, Van Dijk spoke passionately about Liverpool’s younger players, saying to Sky Sports: “It means so much, all the young boys on the pitch in extra time, it’s incredible I’m so proud of the team, intense game for both sides, we had chances and… amazing.”

“I tried to stand up a little bit quickly because I didn’t want to get hurt. Listen, it’s all about the feeling, and I’m incredibly proud of the guys—all the little boys contributing to what we accomplished today—because it’s amazing and, well, there’s more.”

With a trophy on the line and a penalty shootout looming, it is uncommon to witness a manager giggling to themselves, but Klopp is not your typical manager. It is Chelsea’s sixth consecutive Wembley loss, and they view it as a devastating blow.

According to reports, Ederson, an Atalanta midfielder, is a target for Manchester United, Liverpool, and Arsenal.

    Ederson

Ederson, an Atalanta midfielder, is apparently a target for Manchester United, Liverpool, and Arsenal.

The Premier division’s biggest clubs have taken notice of the 24-year-old Brazilian as he has established himself as a dependable player in the Italian division. Tutto Atalanta reports that the midfield player might fetch a summer transfer fee of up to €45 million. It will be fascinating to see if Liverpool, Manchester United, or Arsenal are willing to pay a hefty price for him.

At the end of the current campaign, Manchester United needs to bring him in as a centre midfielder. Since joining the team, Sofyan Amrabat has mostly disappointed, and when his loan agreement expires, he will return to his native club.

Ederson might wind up being a great addition to the Red Devils. In addition to adding creativity and goals to the side, he will assist in managing the game’s speed. This season, he has six goals and one assist in all competitions.

Likewise, when Thiago Alcantara departs Liverpool in the summer, the team will want a central midfield player. By season’s end, the Spaniard’s contract will expire.

In the event that Thomas Partey chooses to leave Arsenal, Mikel Arteta will need to effectively replace him. In recent months, there have been rumours that the Ghanaian international wants to leave Arsenal.

It will be intriguing to watch where Ederson ends up, since he will undoubtedly be tempted to join a major Premier League club. Although the Brazilian might be able to recoup the investment in the upcoming seasons, the stated asking amount might end up being a bit of an issue.

Before Chelsea and Liverpool play one other in the League Cup final, Theo Walcott shares his prediction.

    Theo Walcott

Theo Walcott has stated his prediction in advance of Chelsea vs. Liverpool in this Sunday’s EFL Cup final.

This weekend’s Premier League match between Chelsea and Liverpool is postponed as they square off at Wembley Stadium in the Carabao Cup final.

The Blues have a lot riding on their ability to capture the trophy in a few days. The team led by Mauricio Pochettino is struggling to rescue a season that is gradually finishing in the middle of the standings in the league.

The Reds are the front-runners to win the first trophy in 2024. In his last season at Anfield, Jurgen Klopp hopes to cap off by leading his club to victory in the four competitions they remain in.

Before the League Cup final, Theo Walcott, who is now retired, revealed his pre-match thoughts.

He believes there will be a close match that is decided by penalties.

“Anything can happen in a cup final,” Walcott said to Football Daily, referring to the forthcoming match between Liverpool and Chelsea. Since two teams are so similar in stature when it comes to the cup finals, they truly do cancel each other out, as we know from previous experience playing these games. In a cup final, every player wants to win and play until the absolute end, which is why you see so many of them take penalties in the Premier League.

“I think this will probably go all the way to the end, which is never good because I detest penalties.”

    Liverpool against Chelsea

    Theo Walcott

The scars from Chelsea’s agonising penalties-based losses to Liverpool in the League Cup and FA Cup finals a few years ago will still be felt by Blues fans.

Though we are the underdogs against a dominant Liverpool team that is cruising to the top of the league, let’s hope a somewhat new roster of players can do better this time around.

Apart from Liverpool’s crushing 4-1 thrashing of Chelsea last month, these clubs’ recent games have been rather well matched.

Liverpool is one of the world's TOP FIVE most valuable football teams.

An American survey has placed Liverpool in the top 30 all-sports franchises and among the top five most valuable football teams in the world.

The NFL’s Dallas Cowboys are ranked first overall on a list of the top 100 sports franchises by sports business site Sportico, with a valuation of $9.2 billion (£7.3 billion).

Eleven European football teams—Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea, PSG, Tottenham, and Juventus—make the cut, despite the fact that American teams predominate the list.

Liverpool is ranked fourth out of all football teams and is in 29th place overall, between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs, with a valuation of $4.71 billion (£3.73 billion).

Sportico explains the reasoning behind the numbers as follows: “Sportico’s most recent valuations for the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, Formula One, and international football are the foundation for the top 100 franchises.”

“Sportico estimated each team’s revenue to determine the market value of the sports franchises by using publicly accessible data and financial records—as well as speaking with individuals who are familiar with team finances, such as sports bankers and attorneys who handle deals on a daily basis. Team members, including owners, CEOs of the team or parent company, presidents, chief financial officers, and public relations staff, in addition to investors and industry experts, verified this information.”

From a Liverpool standpoint, it’s interesting to note that the Boston Red Sox, another significant team owned by the Reds’ FSG, are valued at $5.21 billion (£4.13 billion), ranking 20th on the list.

Additionally, Liverpool’s worth is reported to have increased by 14% from the previous year.

Mauricio Pochettino has a new secret weapon at Chelsea as Thiago Silva’s reality surfaces

Chelsea news as Mauricio Pochettino attempts to balance defensive options and injuries while aware of a potential departure for Thiago Silva

Chelsea news as Mauricio Pochettino attempts to balance defensive options and injuries while aware of a potential departure for Thiago Silva.

Chelsea’s problems this season have been evident with the team ranking second in the league for defensive performance.
They only have seven goals in seven games, including three games without a goal, which is clearly below average, but they are unbeatable defensively.

Only Everton has failed to score more goals than Chelsea this season, and just two teams have been less productive at home, highlighting their weaknesses.
Just half of the Blues’ games at Stamford Bridge this season have seen them score.

The Blues are very strong on defense, which is the metric that is said to win championships.
They have only given up six goals in seven games, three of them on the road against West Ham. Only Manchester City, who currently leads the league, has conceded fewer goals so far.

It hasn’t been a significant overperformance either; according to the xGA, Chelsea has conceded nearly two fewer goals than the underlying statistics would indicate, but there are eight other teams in the league that have performed equally well or better at this point.
    to put it simply.

When they lost to both Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa due to errors, it didn’t always appear that way, but in both contests, the defense would have received less criticism if the forwards had done their jobs in front of goal.
At this point, no team has underperformed their expected strikes more than Chelsea, with the exception of Everton’s system-breaking -8.40 xG differential.

It makes a case for how better results will come as soon as the finishing gets better.
This is the very nature of football after all—simple to understand, harder to actually do.

The fact that the defense is currently the most injury-stricken and possibly the furthest from full fitness within this is a plus for Pochettino. Thiago Silva is 39 and leaves others to cover for his immobility despite what he brings to the team, Reece James is the starting right-back but has only played 70 minutes this season, Axel Disasi is entering his second month in the Premier League, and Levi Colwill is playing left-back but is out of position.

Chelsea news as Mauricio Pochettino attempts to balance defensive options and injuries while aware of a potential departure for Thiago Silva

It’s quite an accomplishment to have the defensive consistency that has been discovered—three clean sheets in the last four games across all competitions—with a backline that may not contain all four members of the ideal lineup. Although it’s unclear how Wesley Fofana, Colwill, Silva, Disasi, and Benoit Badiashile will work together after this season, not to mention Trevoh Chalobah, there are many possibilities.

But Pochettino has opted to maintain a rigid hiring procedure.
This isn’t the defense that Chelsea supporters would have chosen in the preseason, whether it’s because of injuries, getting his feet under the table, or largely trusting a growing body of impressive work – it could be a mix of all of them.

With healthy full-backs and the Silva-Colwill partnership forming long before Disasi arrived, the manager himself was much more traditional in America.
Badiashile may be the missing piece that will allow all of this to proceed.

From January 12 on, Chelsea won just four games in the second half of the season, and Badiashile played in every one of them.
Alongside Silva frequently, the 22-year-old only participated in two of Chelsea’s defeats in the previous season; without him, the team’s record was played 10, won 0 games, 2 drew games, and 8 defeats.

Even in the world of Chelsea finishing 12th, how strongly that correlates to improvement is astounding.

With Badiashile on the team, four clean sheets were recorded in 11 games, as opposed to just one without him.
His aerial presence and left-footed option to the defense stood out right away.

It is unclear how he will fit in when he returns from injury in the upcoming weeks, but the work he has done so far cannot be overlooked.
He will try to work with Silva as often as he can to learn from him, which will help. Badiashile glowed like a child when asked who the club’s oldest player was.

He said, “I must get on his nerves a little because I ask him an enormous amount of questions.
It’s because, as Axel [Disasi] said, he’s exceptionally intelligent and mature for his age.
Working with someone of his caliber is such an honor; he benefits everyone around him and helps us achieve our full potential.

Due to the lack of a natural left-footer that Pochettino is willing to pick there, Silva is currently playing on the left side.
When he returns, Badiashile will be vying with Silva and Colwill for the starting spot there, while the right side is crowded with Disasi, Fofana, and the possibility of using Chalobah or Silva there as well.

Although there are numerous moving parts, Pochettino’s current decisions mean that little change is likely to occur.
But over time, Badiashile will be eager to assert himself because he has earned the chance.

After a £50 million Chelsea player's performance against Burnley, Mauricio Pochettino exclaimed, "I am so pleased."

Raheem Sterling’s performance in Chelsea’s 4-1 victory over Burnley earlier today at Turf Moor has manager Mauricio Pochettino gushing.

Mauricio Pochettino was quick to praise Raheem Sterling when speaking to the BBC because he contributed to three of Chelsea’s goals, including their third of the game.

After his brace against Luton Town in August, it was the winger’s third goal of the year.

For the first time this season, Pochettino’s team has now won consecutive games in the top flight.

Mauricio Pochettino very pleased with Raheem Sterling

Pochettino expressed his delight at Sterling’s performance after the game, saying: “I think he needs to feel the net and he is a player with experience who can provide a very good thing for the team.

After a £50 million Chelsea player's performance against Burnley, Mauricio Pochettino exclaimed, "I am so pleased."

He contributed to the first goal, an own goal, after creating a penalty and scoring later.
Being an experienced player, he has a lot to offer the group.

    Message for Gareth Southgate.

The most recent England team did not include Sterling, and the previous one did not either.

But Southgate was reminded of his potential by his performance against Burnley.

If the Three Lions have a difficult time during this international break, many people may question Southgate’s decision to not call up the 28-year-old, who cost Chelsea £50 million when he joined from Manchester City in 2022.

Prior to Burnley’s victory, Sterlng wasn’t in the best of form.
Since the win over Luton, he had not scored.

But he played well today, and if he can maintain this level of play, he will have a strong chance of being called up to the England squad.

When the Premier League resumes after this most recent round of international competition, Chelsea at least won’t have to worry about their wide player getting hurt ahead of a crucial match against Arsenal.

According to reports, Chelsea’s recruiting team has identified four talented attackers to target in upcoming transfer windows
In the beginning of his tenure at Stamford Bridge, Mauricio Pochettino had to deal with injury problems and wastefulness, and he has yet to find a reliable solution up top.

On Monday night, Armando Broja presented his own argument by scoring the second goal in Chelsea’s 2-0 victory over Fulham, capitalizing on his first Chelsea start in nearly a year.
An equally unexpected goal scorer was Mykhaylo Mudryk, who had just scored his first Premier League goal.

Chelsea had scored just five goals in its first six league games of the season, though, prior to the start of the match at Craven Cottage.
Concerns have also been raised about summer signing Nicolas Jackson’s poor performance and injured Christopher Nkunku.

The Blues have reportedly added four strikers to their list of potential transfers in order to complete a significant deal next summer, according to CaughtOffside.

After a difficult few weeks at Napoli, Victor Osimhen is thought to be the best option and may try to force his way out of Serie A.
The social media executive resigned after the Nigerian’s agent threatened to sue the Azzurri over an offensive TikTok video posted by the team.

Osimhen has made no secret of his desire to play in the Premier League.
During the summer, he was heavily linked with Manchester United before they decided to sign Rasmus Hojlund.

Ivan Toney is reportedly also on Chelsea’s hit list.
Only Harry Kane and Erling Haaland scored more goals in the Premier League last season than the Brentford striker, who recently switched agents in an apparent effort to test his abilities at a higher level.

According to reports, Chelsea's recruiting team has identified four talented attackers to target in upcoming transfer windows.

Evan Ferguson, a talented young player from Brighton, is also thought to be a player of interest at Stamford Bridge.
The 18-year-old has scored four goals in a little more than 300 minutes of top-flight action so far this season, and many anticipate that he will continue to improve and have a successful career.

The fourth and final name up for consideration is Santiago Gimenez, it is believed.
The 22-year-old, who was born in Argentina and plays for Mexico on the international stage, has scored freely since moving to Europe last year.

Gimenez has scored 10 goals in the Eredivisie so far this season, averaging over a goal per game.
His outstanding hat-trick in the rivalry game against Ajax last week contributed to this astounding statistic

Pochettino, the manager of Chelsea, provides a dreadful update on the €62 million acquisition.

Great disappointment for Chelsea as ace is sidelined until December.

Romeo Lavia’s recovery from injury, or lack thereof, has been updated by Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Romeo Lavia’s transition to life at Stamford Bridge has been a complete nightmare.
To beat Liverpool to the Southampton star’s signature, the Blues forked over a whopping €62 million.

In fact, the Belgian preferred a move to London despite the Reds being long considered the favorites to sign the former Man City youth product.

Given that the Blues had already signed Moises Caicedo and Lesley Ugochukwu in record deals, along with Andrey Santos earlier in the year, it was a decision that caused some controversy.

Whether or not Chelsea actually needs Lavia, the fact remains that the youngster has yet to make an appearance for Mauricio Pochettino’s team, first due to a lack of preseason preparation, and most recently due to an ankle injury.

    Lavia Injury updates

Prior to his team’s match against Burnley, Pochettino was questioned about the condition of the 19-year-old, and the Argentine had to deliver the bad news.
The manager declined to say when Chelsea supporters would get to see him, saying, “I’m not sure he will be back after the international break. He is not even running”

Regarding other injury concerns, he did provide some encouraging news.
Despite their injuries suffered on Monday against Fulham, Mykhailo Mudryk and Moises Caicedo won’t have to miss the Burnley game.

Yes, both players are in the squad, according to Pochettino.
We will decide if they have a chance to start later. Reece James, the team’s captain, has returned and has been practicing with the group, according to Pochettino.

He continued, “We are really pleased with the way he is recovering.
“We hope that after his suspension, he will still have a chance to participate.

Chelsea hasn’t really had much to shout about in the 2023–24 Premier League season so far, with the exception of a solid performance at Fulham.

In order to give Mauricio Pochettino’s “project” the best chance of succeeding before Todd Boehly, who is prone to making snap decisions, decides to yank the plug and look elsewhere, the Blues have had to take drastic measures.

The club is arguably not where the Chelsea manager would have expected it to be, sitting in 11th place with only two wins in seven games, but if the Argentinian is given time, his record suggests that he can and most likely will produce success.

He really needs to, given that he’s already spent £115 million on Moises Caicedo alone, according to The Guardian (subscription required).

  • Due to the established return date, Chelsea must make a significant choice on the transfer of Eden Hazard.

Due to the established return date, Chelsea must make a significant choice on the transfer of Eden Hazard.

Due to the established return date, Chelsea must make a significant choice on the transfer of Eden Hazard.

Following an announced appearance for the Belgian wizard, Eden Hazard, there are new return rumors from Chelsea.

Let’s begin with a brief disclaimer because it is necessary.
Under no circumstances should Eden Hazard be allowed to play again for Chelsea.

Simply because of who Hazard is and what he stands for, it needs to be said more about him than about anyone else.
Few players in football can evoke the emotions that he can in a large group of fans.
All things considered, he is a special case whose circumstances make it logical to rule out a homecoming.

Putting emotion aside—which is nearly impossible with Hazard—this is a 32-year-old crocked winger with seven goals in four years.
This Hazard, who is currently without a club after terminating his five-year contract with Real Madrid 12 months early, is in no way comparable to the Hazard who struggled at Stamford Bridge in 2015–16.

The confidence, form, and spark that launched the Belgian’s career have all left him.
The man who was left behind at Santiago Bernabeu has been left to rot, and he is not one who is prepared to compete or provide anything of value to a team that is trying to make a comeback.

All of this is assuming that Hazard has no real room at Chelsea. There is no advantage unless they decide to employ him for free in a non-playing capacity as a motivator and cheery, happy-go-lucky bobblehead.

The player with the least skill, speed, or fitness is Hazard. He isn’t the best, and there is no proof that he can make a real difference.

There isn’t much to be gained when you consider the mountain of injuries already present and the fact that he hasn’t had a preseason.

However, he didn’t let that stop him when he was previously at the club.
With a group that is all fully fit, Chelsea has two players at each position along the front line.

Due to the established return date, Chelsea must make a significant choice on the transfer of Eden Hazard.

This version of Hazard cannot play as a backup to Nicolas Jackson and Armando Broja up front, will not challenge Raheem Sterling and Noni Madueke on the right, will not push Mykhailo Mudryk or Christopher Nkunku from the left, and is not Cole Palmer or Carney Chukwuemeka in the center.

There have been offers for Hazard to play elsewhere this season, but none have progressed.
Besides, if he joined, who would actually want him to play any minutes ahead of a young group of players who need time on the field together? Still, it seems as though retirement is inevitable.

This isn’t a player who can improve Mauricio Pochettino’s squad, and, as Didier Drogba and others have pointed out over the past 12 months, where is the assurance that Hazard enjoys the Chelsea he returns to?
It’s hardly any closer to the one he left in 2019 while subject to a transfer ban, or the ones he succeeded in and frequently had to be dragged along kicking and screaming.

This is not meant to minimize the player or the glowing shadow he cast.
One can count on one hand the number of Chelsea players who have ever performed to the level that Hazard did in 2018 as a true triad-creating leg on the Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo duopoly.
Hazard is in the pantheon of Chelsea’s greatest players ever.

In a world of high-performance gurus, Hazard is a remarkable football success story who casually exemplifies talent and brilliance.
With a smile and the trademark blue-eyed Fremen wink that can only come from Hazard, his body of work is shaped and expressed in stark contrast to the modern game.

He is unlike anyone else because of his contagious laughter and joy. For Pochettino, there is a world in which Hazard occasionally steps in to lend a hand, imparting knowledge and vibes. In any short-term plans, however, there is no way to logistically or financially include him.

It would be an exceptional and unmatched level of excitement and nostalgia to witness Hazard at his peak under the Argentine head coach, but for the time being, it’s best to focus on the charity game that will mark his return to football and set aside the intoxicating, only-for-Hazard level of drug-fueled wonder that comes with it.

Victor Osimhen, who has been linked to a transfer away from Napoli, has released a statement regarding his current situation there.

In light of uncertainty surrounding his future at Napoli and a dispute within the team’s ranks, Victor Osimhen has released a significant statement on his situation.

Azzurri on their way to winning the Serie A title, the striker has been one of the best in Europe in recent seasons.
He scored many goals for them.

The Nigerian international has a talent for scoring goals, putting his body on the line both literally and figuratively to do so.
He is currently required to play with a mask after sustaining multiple facial fractures.
There have been difficulties before this campaign, both on and off the field.

Napoli has had a slow start to the season, winning just four of their first seven Serie A games and currently holding the third-place spot in the race for the title. Off the field, there is growing uncertainty regarding Osimhen’s future and what it might hold.

At the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, the forward’s contract has just under two years left to run, and there has been no indication that it will be extended.

As a result of the player’s entourage’s ire over a TikTok video posted by the official Napoli account, there are also rising tensions within their ranks.

In a statement, Osimhen’s agent hinted that the club might face legal action because of the offensive themes present.
A number of top teams around the world have been linked to a switch, which has increased talk of a potential transfer exit in the coming year or so.

Arsenal is one of those teams that has added a few strikers recently but hasn’t always had the winning edge. Osimhen has been suggested as a solution, but it is unclear whether it is both stylistically and financially feasible.

The Osimhen saga may change if Mauricio Pochettino is given even more financial clout in the transfer market.

Despite these connections, the striker has issued a statement regarding his present circumstances at Napoli and his future.

He posted on social media, saying: “Choosing to move to the City of Naples in 2020 was a fantastic choice for me.

I am so grateful to the people of Naples for their love and kindness, and I will not let anyone stand in our way.

“The fervor of the People of Naples fuels my fire to always play with my heart and soul, and the love for the badge is unfailing as I wear it with pride,” the speaker said. People of Naples has been falsely accused. I have many Napolitan friends who have integrated themselves into my family and way of life.
I am grateful for the support and outreach that Nigerians and everyone else have given me.

Following a double injury scare, Mauricio Pochettino provides an update.

After Armando Broja and Mykhaylo Mudryk were compelled to leave the field, Mauricio Pochettino provided Chelsea supporters with an update to allay their concerns.

On Monday night, the Blues defeated Fulham away from home in what was arguably their best performance of the year.

At Craven Cottage, they got off to a quick start and quickly took the lead thanks to Mudryk’s first Premier League goal since joining the team in January.

Moments later, Broja, who had been on the bench for a while, doubled that advantage by scoring on a fortunate deflection.

However, with both goal scorers being forced off the field due to injuries, Chelsea supporters feared the worst as they imagined two more names being added to their long list of injuries.

Fortunately, Pochettino provided an encouraging update following the game, stating that he hoped both players would be available for this weekend’s match against Burnley.

    Mudryk was doing well.
Unfortunately, he felt something in his quad at halftime, but hopefully it’s not a major problem and he will be ready for the weekend.

The extent of Moises Caicedo’s injury is still unknown, but he too hobbled off the field in the closing seconds.

    “It was an injury.

What is the most recent Chelsea news?
The Evening Standard reports that Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Chelsea, has admitted that he had little to do with the decision of whether to keep defender Marc Cucurella at Stamford Bridge after the Spaniard’s late transfer to Manchester United fell through on Deadline Day.

“I don’t know,” said Pochettino, “since I wasn’t involved in this issue; that was more the responsibility of the club, the [player’s] agent, and the sporting director. We were conversing in my office after the transfer window closed. We were very clear about my opinion of him and how I judge him, and I was attentive to his sentiments. Of course, after he arrived from Brighton, it was a trying period for him. It was difficult for many, many players in addition to him.

Monday night’s Premier League match between Chelsea and their neighbours Fulham will be played in their new front-of-shirt sponsor Infinite Athlete for the first time this season. According to BBC Sport, Chelsea and the US-based sports technology company have agreed to a deal that will earn them more than £40 million in 2023–24.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano provided an update on the situation of Chelsea prospect Andrey Santos, who is now on loan at Nottingham Forest, on social media platform X. He said: “Andrey Santos played zero minutes once more in Nottingham Forest-Brentford, sitting on the sidelines for 99 minutes. After making more than ten loan requests over the summer, he transferred from Chelsea to the club in August.

According to Transfermarkt, Santos, a member of Brazil’s Under-23 national team, has only appeared once while on loan at Tricky Trees, playing the full 90 minutes in Nottingham Forest’s Carabao Cup second-round loss to Burnley in late August.

Chelsea will add who in 2024?

According to sources, Chelsea management is keeping a close eye on an up-and-coming star and may try to sign the forward to Stamford

Simon Adingra, a Brighton & Hove Albion player, is being closely watched by Stamford Bridge officials, who are reportedly impressed by his impressive start to the new season.

The Blues are considering a move for the Ivory Coast international to add another attacking option and to compete with Nicolas Jackson. Adingra has been dubbed the “ideal” solution to Pochettino’s lack of cutting edge in attack. The 21-year-old has been added to Todd Boehly and company’s transfer wishlist because they specifically want players under the age of 25.

According to Transfermarkt, the Ivorian forward has appeared seven times for the Seagulls in all competitions this season, recording one goal and one assist.

Brighton technical director David Weir gave the Right to Dream academy alum high praise when he arrived from FC Nordsjaelland in 2022, saying: “We’re happy to welcome Simon to the club. He is a talented young footballer who is off to a great start in Denmark. He is a versatile offensive player who excels in one-on-one matchups and is inventive offensively. We’ve been keeping an eye on this outstanding young player for a long, and we’re excited to support his growth.

Adingra has excelled in the area of interceptions in comparison to his positional peers in Europe’s top five leagues by working hard off the ball. Over the past 365 days, he averaged about 1.19 interceptions per 90 minutes, placing him in the 99th percentile for this metric according to FBRef, demonstrating his hard work when pressing from the front.

Adingra would bring a lot of distinctive talents to Pochettino’s forward line, which is developing a reputation as a breeding ground for young talent thanks to Chelsea.

Mauricio Pochettino receives a message from Christopher Nkunku as the ideal Chelsea return date is made public.

Later this season, Christopher Nkunku hopes to return from injury with a trophy.

Christopher Nkunku was overjoyed to see Chelsea advance to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.

The former RB Leipzig player watched on as Nicolas Jackson led Mauricio Pochettino’s team to a 1-0 victory over Brighton at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.

As they stood behind the home dugout in support of their Blues teammates, Thiago Silva, Noni Madueke, Wesley Fofana, Carney Chukwuemeka, Benoit Badiashile, and Reece James joined Nkunku.

While they were unable to participate on the field, their support was still felt by players like Alfie Gilchrist, Josh Brooking, and Alex Matos, who were selected to sit on the bench from the academy.

Nkunku posted a celebratory message to his Instagram story after the match with the caption, “Next round [green tick and clapping emoji.

The fourth-round matchup between Chelsea and Blackburn Rovers will now take place on November 1st.Despite joining Chelsea earlier this summer, the France international has yet to play in a competitive match for the club, and when he returns from injury, he’ll be itching to win some hardware.

Mauricio Pochettino receives a message from Christopher Nkunku as the ideal Chelsea return date is made public.

During Nkunku’s final preseason match against Borussia Dortmund, the west Londoner suffered a knee injury.

The 25-year-old forward is now intensifying his rehabilitation with Chelsea’s medical staff after having surgery in the intervening period. Nkunku’s potential continued absence would deal the Blues a serious setback in their quest for a Champions League qualifying spot this season.

Pochettino could make a splash upon his return from the hospital if he is able to stay in the Carabao Cup, though. The Carabao Cup quarterfinal is scheduled for the week starting December 18, with the semifinal beginning the following week in January.

Then, on Sunday, February 25, 2024, the championship game will be held.
Right now, it’s unclear exactly when Nkunku will be able to return from his injury.
If Chelsea can advance further in the Carabao Cup, Pochettino will be desperate to get him back in the starting lineup as soon as possible.

Todd Boehly makes a critical $305 million Chelsea transfer decision, To clarify Mauricio Pochettino’s stance

    To clarify Mauricio Pochettino's stance
News regarding the transfer of Todd Boehly from Chelsea suggests that, following a rocky start at Stamford Bridge, Mauricio Pochettino might stand to gain from those plans.

The plans for the January transfer window have already been teased by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital. Chelsea overhauled Mauricio Pochettino’s squad last summer with over £400 million spent, bringing their total expenditures since purchasing the club to over $1 billion.

While Christopher Nkunku, Romeo Lavia, Cole Palmer, Nicolas Jackson, and Moises Caicedo all signed, Moises Caicedo left Brighton and Hove Albion for a British-record fee.
The club hierarchy’s investment hasn’t yielded results on the field thus far, necessitating a shift in approach.

After the club’s disappointing start to the season, former Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf recently accused the American billionaire of ruining the organization.
“It’s incredible what the club has developed into only two years after their Champions League victory.
He told CasinosEnLigne, “I’m disgusted by it.

“I don’t have anything against Todd Boehly, but they need to make changes right away or else they’ll ruin the club,” he said.
I believe those in charge of hiring are primarily at fault.

The board has neglected to balance the team, but it’s acceptable to sign young players to long-term contracts if they’re dedicated.

Boehly isn’t anticipated to rein in his spending despite the criticism.
Bloomberg claims that sources close to the ownership have said that additional funds could be borrowed to continue investing in the playing group.

As part of their investment in the transfer market, it is understood that Boehly and Clearlake are thinking about borrowing up to £250 million ($305 million).

According to the report, Bank of America Corp.
and the club have already agreed to loans totaling £800 million.
provide ownership with advice regarding their next actions.

The update comes after it was revealed that Chelsea had raised £500 million from Ares Management to complete their Stamford Bridge renovation. It also comes after concerns about Pochettino’s position at the club.

It would be more obvious that Boehly wants to stick with the head coach if more money were offered to the Argentine. Only time will tell how much Boehly is willing to spend on new players after already emptying his wallet.
