‘They’re investing everything’ – Jordan Henderson shares FSG verdict after Liverpool transfer criticism

Jordan Henderson spoke about Liverpool owner Fenway Sports Group
Jordan Henderson has offered his support to Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group, saying their good work is evident to all.
FSG have owned Liverpool since October 2010 when they bought the club from George Gillett Jr and Tom Hicks.
Under FSG ownership, Anfield has been transformed with a new £110m main stand, while the Anfield Road Stand is undergoing redevelopment.
On the pitch, Liverpool won the Champions League, EFL Cup and Premier League under the management of Jurgen Klopp.
However, FSG were criticized by some fans for not supporting Klopp enough in the transfer market.
But Henderson, who left Liverpool for Al Ettifaq in July after 12 years at Anfield, has given an emphatic response to fans criticizing FSG by revealing he can only say good things about them.
“Honestly, I can only say good things about the property,” he told The Athletic.
“They were so good.
It is clear to everyone.
“When they came in and brought the club to where it is today, what they’ve achieved in that time – basically since I’ve been there – has been remarkable.
These boys are smart people.
You know what you are doing.
You are not a club that inject a hundred, two hundred, three hundred million to one player.
You know what you need and sometimes – in my situation – that is sometimes not nice. But it is the best for the club.
It’s what’s best for the team.
“I saw Jurgen say a few days ago that he was really happy with the transfer window and that he loved his team.
That means for the players who left he probably wanted to leave and for the players who arrived, he probably wanted to sign.
“So you had a plan.
It’s not like they said at the last minute, ‘Oh, Jordan is leaving, Fabinho is leaving, Milner is leaving.
There is always a plan, there is always a strategy, especially with this property.
“And to be honest, I always thought they had the best interests of the club at heart.
They never take money from the club.
They put everything back into the club, be it the stadium or the training ground.” , player.
“But at the same time, they are smart when it comes to financial management.” They won’t pay players ridiculous sums, because that would mess up the structure like I’ve tried to do with some players in the past! They stick to their principles and it worked.

What Mohamed Salah did after Aston Villa win, Liverpool reveals all you need to know about Saudi Arabia move
Ian Doyle’s report after Liverpool’s clash with Aston Villa in the Premier League
The Charm Offensive at Anfield Road began before a ball had even been kicked.
And when Mohamed Salah arrived full-time, he realized that no amount of Saudi money could match the affection he enjoyed from Liverpool fans.
After what seemed like an eternity of flirting with the possibility, Al-Ittihad finally made a £150m offer for Salah as the time approached on Friday’s transfer deadline. Liverpool, as they have since interest arose, insist Salah is not for sale this summer and immediately reject the offer.
The player himself hasn’t commented on being courted by the Saudi Pro League, although his agent Ramy Abbas Issa’s statement in early August indicated the Egyptian had no intention of jumping ship.
However, the Liverpool supporters here on a steamy afternoon against Aston Villa were eager to make their feelings known, clapping Salah’s name loudly as lineups were read out to thunderous applause.
Then early in the match, after the Egyptian was roundly condemned for fouling Lucas Digne, the Kop erupted into an impromptu rendition of Salah’s chorus, quickly joined by the rest of the home crowd at Anfield.
Salah has responded to this support as always: by combining a relentless and industrious performance with a succession of decisive contributions.
Less than three minutes later, heavy pressure from Salah and Darwin Nunez forced a corner, while Dominik Szoboszlai broke through the lead. And it was precisely the Egyptian’s low cross, after running into an inviting pass from excellent Trent
Alexander-Arnold, that saw Nunez hit a shot that hit the post and rebounded off Villa’s Matty Cash for a second time.
Nunez then fought back in the second half, licking an Andy Robertson corner after an Andy Robertson corner for Salah to miss at the far post and cap a win that turned what was a good start to the season for Liverpool into a great one for four different reasons.
difficult encounters.
At the final whistle, Salah shook hands with his teammates, match officials and Villa players before descending into the tunnel.
The absence of a grand farewell gesture to the home fans suggested this was not someone appearing for the club for the last time.
With the Saudi transfer window only closing on Thursday, Liverpool will certainly be prepared for an increased offer from Al-Ittihad.
The next few days will be filled with reports meant to test the Reds’ resolve.
Whether it’s £200m, £250m or more, Salah, like any player, ultimately has value.
But how much do Liverpool fans like the striker?
It’s priceless.
