Liverpool £34m target hints his desire transfer destination after Anfield visit to watch Arsenal match

Liverpool wouldn’t need much temptation to get their man.
Liverpool target player Micky van de Ven has revealed playing for the Reds would be a ‘dream’ come true. The Wolfsburg centre-back has been linked with a move to Anfield this summer after sporting director Joerg Schmadtke intervened.
Schmadtke, a former Wolfsburg football director, was responsible for van de Ven’s signing from Dutch club FC Volendam in 2021 and is said to be a huge admirer of the player forever.
Wolfsburg are asking for a transfer fee of around £34m for the 22-year-old, who happens to be a Liverpool fan. Van de Ven attended Liverpool’s 5-1 win over Arsenal at Anfield in December 2018 and loved the atmosphere. The Dutchman now hopes he can really experience it in a Liverpool shirt.
“I was once at the Liverpool stadium with my dad,” he said in January. “It was Christmas on Boxing Day. Liverpool versus Arsenal. It was madness. When “You’ll Never Walk Alone” comes up, it gives goosebumps, it was very cool. It’s a dream to play there.
He added: “If you ask someone: What is the best league in the world? Then you will most likely get England as an answer. Many of the best players play in the Premier League. I can well imagine playing in the Premier League at some point.
Van de Ven is one of several transfer targets for Liverpool ahead of what is sure to be a very busy transfer window for Schmadtke and Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool are looking to revamp their entire midfield after missing out on Champions League football for the first time in seven years. The Reds are looking to sign at least three midfielders before the start of next season and are actively pursuing Chelsea’s Mason Mount, Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister and Bayern Munich’s Ryan Gravenberch.
Meanwhile, James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita will depart in the coming weeks.

Liverpool must move quickly in their negotiations with the £70 million star at Anfield.
Liverpool warned during talks with £70m star.
Liverpool will need to be quick to secure the signing of Alexis Mac Allister, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has revealed exclusively to GIVEMESPORT.
Mac Allister has been investigated as one of Liverpool’s main targets this summer and the Reds are expected to speed up negotiations in the coming weeks.
Transfer news Liverpool – Alexis Mac Allister
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are increasingly confident of finalizing the signing of Mac Allister from Brighton & Hove Albion this summer.
That’s according to a 90 Minutes report, which said the Merseyside team have identified Mac Allister as a prime target in midfield.
It comes after months of rumors of a Liverpool-Jude Bellingham link and the Reds finally being forced out of the race in April (The Athletic).
Determined not to let Bellingham’s setback derail their entire summer transfer plans, Liverpool quickly turned their attention to Mac Allister with a deal said to be imminent.
The report claims the Argentina midfielder is interested in a move to Anfield, with the possibility of working under Klopp being a key selling point.
A deal is unlikely to be favorable to the world champions as Brighton have pledged a sum of £70m to secure their services.
However, Romano has since revealed that Liverpool could potentially sign him at a killer price provided there is a release clause allowing a move to a European-based side.
What did Fabrizio Romano have to say about Mac Allister joining Liverpool this summer?
When asked about the possibility of Liverpool signing Mac Allister in the summer, Romano hinted that they are currently at the forefront but could face competition from other clubs.
Of the 24-year-old, Romano told GIVEMESPORT: “They have to be careful because if there is a release clause or a fixed fee to take the player out of Brighton, it could change in 24 hours. That’s why Liverpool know they have to be quick with Mac Allister.
Who else could be targeting Mac Allister instead?
Without Champions League football, Liverpool could find themselves caught between a rock and a hard place as the summer begins.
That could be the case for Mac Allister, as teams that have finished in the top four are said to be looking to hijack Liverpool’s move for the midfielder. Italian journalist Rudy Galetti recently told GIVEMESPORT that Manchester City are in the game for Mac Allister and Pep Guardiola seems interested in the Brighton man.
Elsewhere, Galetti has also hinted that Manchester United could also work with Mac Allister, suggesting Liverpool should go further if they want to finalize the deal quickly.
